Be careful who you see here. I saw Lale twice and they were phenomenal. They replicated the nail art I brought in. Then I saw Lilet and that was a disaster. They took one look at the pic of the nail art I asked for and didn’t even try. It was the worst nail art I’ve ever had. The smiley faces were tiny dots with blurry lines. Also, they chose blue over lilac. Be careful who you pay good money to do your mani and nail art here.I will sat that my manicures do last though. I think the actual manicure is quality but the nail art I received from this artist was less than a one star.

Very happy with the results. Olga did an amazing and quick job.A bit pricy compared to other places but I knew that and based on the quality you receive, it makes sense that they charge more than average places around.Will be back on a regular basis. Glad I found the place in the city that provides a true European quality for manicure and pedicure. Also booking online is pretty hustle free and has openings for the people with no availability during office hours

Omg ! My manicure looked like some kid played with nails. She wasnt ashamed to charge me extra for design for the manicure that looked terrible. The other nail technician didnt know how to fix it as well. I asked for my money to be refund but they refused. I didnt want to leave the place and in the end they told me to write an email to manager, because she is the only one who can press a button for refund . My nail tech was so nervous during manicure, she answered her phone and she yelled. After she yelled also a little in English on me and little in Russian. Also she slammed the door angrily . Pls take a look of my 90 $ worth manicure .

This place may do a nice job on the nails but their customer service is the worst of the worst. Its non existent. This salon thinks they can do good nails and pass by like that. Their trash. The people working there are horrible. No care for their clients or anything. Make charges that are unauthorized. Horrible. Never going back

First time at this salon. First, I was never offered anything to drink. Second, I was there for 1:45 to have nails that unfortunately lasted me 3 days. 7 of my fingernails started lifting and getting caught in my hair. I had a gel overlay with no-chip polish on top. For my nails total I payed $105. $15 for having my previous nail service, which was a dip manicure, removed at a different salon (because they do not remove other nail services). $90 for the service I received here. I never have had an issue with my nails before and so I am posting this review to warn others. You be the judge was the price worth it? Think not. Go somewhere else. Also to add, they never answer their phones making it extremely complicated to book through texting. It took me a few days to book an appointment with them. For reference, my nail appointment was on January 23, 2021 (one week ago). Also, the pictures on their page make the salon look very high end but when you are in there it looks tacky, cheap, and worn down.

If you are looking for a high end salon to do your nails you are at the right place. Very professional service, they show you different shapes, different colors and techniques so that you get exactly what you need. My no chip manicure lasted for weeks and is done with precision and good cuticle removal. They also give you their professional advice on the type of product that would best fit your nails. What makes the experience even better is that they provide a special price for the parking across the street which is very convenient if you have car! I highly recommend for everyone who would like to have beautiful nails!

Best nail salon in the city !!! Finally, after trying out different nails spas and being disappointed every time, I have found this place! I could go 6 weeks without getting my nails done and my gel manicure never chips or breaks. My nail tech, Enia takes her time, never rushes and always makes my nail dreams come true! The decor is super cute inside and everything is always clean. Oh and they offer wine!

While they cleaned my cuticle beautifully, I paid $96 for a gel overlay that didn’t even last two weeks. In addition to this, the gel would burn so much I’d have to remove my hand from the light. Little to no concern from the manicurists who said it was absolutely normal. Nails were lifting after a couple days and were weirdly shaped so I went to get some nails fixed Tuesday and they’ve already popped off. I just made an appointment to just get the rest of them soaked off. They’re good at their jobs but I would be wary about booking for more complicated procedures.

The Best Nails and Designs Day Spa is hands down the best manicure I’ve ever had. Zhanara is very fast and super detail-oriented during every visit.  Its very clean and feels lux from the moment you walk in. They also have music playing that livens up the atmosphere. Theres a great selection of nail colors, designs, and jewels.My gel manicures always last over a month and even after 6 weeks the polish doesnt chip! Zhanara makes the experience feel personal by taking into account what you want in your nail shape/color/design. Shell even test out multiple colors to ensure youre happy with your choice. I like that even though shes fast the manicures never feel rushed.Highly recommend getting your nails done here!!!

Nur is one of the best I’ve ever been to anywhere. She is great and goes way beyond expectations. Can’t say enough great things. I love love love my nails. Already excited for my next appointment

This place was the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. It was dirty. They did not disinfect any of the foot rests, chairs, water bowls. It would be disgusting pre covid and during covid they are not disinfecting or cleaning between clients?? How is that possible. They just put my feet in a small bowl of water. They took over 2 hours to do a standard regular polish pedicure. Had a minimal color selection. They did not know how to paint the entire nail. It was such sloppy work. Not to mention the chairs were equivalent to dining chairs and it was incredibly uncomfortable to sit in for that long. I strongly encourage u to go literally anywhere else in the city. This is not that place. So overly priced too. The bottom of my feet aren’t smooth either.

I am always amazed at the beautiful work they do at The Best Nails and Designs Day Spa - I will never go anywhere else for my manicures - the quality of work and the attention to detail is unmatched. No matter what design or idea I have for my nails, all I have to do is show a picture and theyll make my manicure look even better than the picture!

I got a gel overlay manicure that wasn’t the best. My nail tech did a great job of cleaning the nail cuticle. It all went downhill from there. I asked for a design pulled from an inspo page they recommended and their page states they can replicate almost every design. My nail artist didn’t think to tell me that the design was too complicated for her and she continued trying but when she realized she couldn’t she added foil to cover it up. My nails were so ugly that I went home to paint them immediately after the appointment. I felt so upset that I had to wear them for 4 weeks so I reached up hoping for a refund as I paid $90 and they sent me an email to their “corporate” office which hasn’t gotten back to me after a week and when I messaged them to ask if there was another person I could reach out to they decided to ignore me. When I went to a different location, the nail techs were so shocked at how terrible the work was. Don’t go here, save your money!See their Yelp page if you need further proof!

Nail specialist (Azharai) was friendly but not attentive to details (as you can see from the picture). Corner cuticles are still very visible and she also cut me. I definitely think that this is not worth the $70 that I paid for the service.

Nails done twice here. Once by Nur and the other time was with Yulia. Nur was good, Yulia needs customer service skills.The manager who handles the Instagram and text messages along with @znailschicago needs customer service skills when it comes to questions, complaints and concerns.I was going to book again after my appointment was cancelled but the customer service is not there and I am not gonna waste my time nor money when there are plenty Russian manicure nail salons in Chicago!

Have been sitting in the lobby for the last 20 minutes with absolutely zero sign of human life and certainly no service. I called the business phone number here several times hoping someone might come to the front desk but no answer. Very disappointing and concerning. Another client came in and we had to walk down several hallways where finally 5 girls came out from a back room. I asked for a mani and got turned away saying they couldn’t do it, only the next day. I’m deeply confused as to why when there were many people and literally no one in the salon. Wild, really.

The masters are usually newbies so I had to point out the burrs twice to the manicurist. When my regular nail polish got ruined by the end of day the there was a real adventure to book an appointment. And even though I was scheduled after a week of discussion the manicurist didnt show up and the management had no interest in notifying me or apologizing for wasted timeIts not a sevice youre expecting to get for that price

I had an appointment which I arrived promptly for and called them up multiple times because I could not locate the business, there is no apparent signage. Nobody answered, yet they still charged me $25 no show fee. This to me is unacceptable.

Got to my appointment 10 mins early since it was my first time here. The artist didn’t start on me until 45+ mins after my scheduled service (I was nearly ready to leave), and then took 3 hours to do simple extensions with just one nail polish color, no design. While the end result was decent, no one set my expectations and I spent 4+ hours of my day here. Not worth the time or lack of communication, not sure I’ll be back.

This was the best manicure Ive ever had. It was super easy to schedule the appointment online. They responded to me right away. My nails were shaped exactly the way I asked and the color is the right shade that I explained I wanted. Vika was great. The designs I requested were simple this time because I wanted something basic but they have so many gorgeous options that I cant wait to try different things. They give you an iPad with a gallery to choose from but if you have any picture from out there they can match it for you. Ive never before had someone take care of the cuticle so well and paint so closely to the cuticle without getting anything on it, so it will last longer without looking grown out. I was surprised I could have nails as perfect as in a magazine. Im surprised more people havent tried it yet because they have no idea how perfect and long lasting a good manicure can be. They also dont soak your nails in acetone when they take old no chip off, which is much healthier and wont cause sensitivity. Also I rarely go on yelp to review, but this was very well worth it.In the photo are my nails four days after my appointment.

Based on the reviews I decided to check this place out last week. Giving it a 1-star rating because Symbat she was doing my nails seemed so rushed, left dead skin, got gel strengening overlay done and already started chipping after under a as week. Not coming back to this place.

I have a wedding coming up and wanted something special done for my nails. This was my first time making an appointment here. When I came in no one greeted me. I hear other clients get offered wine when they entered. Their selection of regular nail polish was non existent. Their service was basic at most. To top it off they could not even do the flower design I requested. Yet they have all these pictures on IG. The tech asked me if I could pick some sticker. Are you kidding me? This is a complete waste of time. I would not reccomed this place to anyone. Its an overpriced waste of time.

Since moving to Chicago, I have tried countless salons trying to find the manicurist that will not only make sure that my nails look cute, but that they also look HEALTHY. They specialize in the Russian manicure, which is a technique that cuts away at your cuticles to create a flawless, polished look.The salon itself looks like a chic little boutique that reminded me of a vintage Parisian café mixed with Vogue. The European style in their decor and nail technique really adds to the whole salon experience instead of going to some salon that just reeks of acetone. When you arrive, they give you palette books where you can choose what colors youd like. They are carefully organized into different shades and colors, which I think is really helpful if you are interested in mixing up different nail colors. Its also a lot more cleaner and curated instead of getting a bunch of sticks with 80 colors randomly thrown on. Afterwards, they offer you beverages as you get ready fo a wonderful salon experience.When I went, I got the no-chip manicure and pedicure. They are one of the only salons in the city to offer a no-chip pedicure, which lasts up to two months. I wanted a fun Thanksgiving look and Azhari, my manicurist, helped me pick a few colors and created this wonderful Fall look. If youre not sure what you want, they are pros in helping out find the perfect look. Also, if you follow their Instagram (@the_best_nails_chicago), they post a lot of fun ideas and inspirations for you to bring in for your next visit.Ever since I got my nails done there, I have been complimented constantly about how wonderful the shape and form look. Its been a month since I went, and there has been no chip and it still honestly looks like I got them done yesterday. Their manicurists pay so much attention to detail and it clearly shows. Clean, professional, kind, and reasonably priced -- I cant wait to go back and am so glad I found my new go-to salon in the city! :)Last note: They take their COVID safety precautions seriously and everyone is required to wear a mask during the visit.

Best no-chip manicure Ive ever gotten!!! The place is a bit hidden, its on top of the redhead piano bar, through the red door and its the 1st door to the left. They just opened so its understanding. The place it self was cute and they made sure I was comfortable, they even gave me an option to watch a movie on an iPad. Seva was my nail stylist and she was amazing! It seemed it was her first time doing a design like the one I asked but she did amazing! It came out better than the picture I showed her. She took the time, and was very patient. She made sure she cleaned up any touches as she went and perfected the work. I also got the cuticle perfection and they promised itll last up to 4 weeks! Every tool she used came from a sterile bagged, she opened the bag in front of me, she had a very clean work area. I would definetly reccomend it and cant wait to book my next appointment!!

Diana did an excellent job with my gel fill-in! She was really careful and precise. They have a lot of different nail design options, the only struggle was to pick one since they are all beautiful! The location is convenient and the salon itself is really nice. Will definitely be back!

So I’m leaving a complaint for miss advertising.For It’s ridiculous difference in price and just not being professional! I couldn’t get design that I promised. Not coming back again.It all started great when I made an appointment through their Instagram profile, I talked to representative and send them picture Of design that I want to get(pink nails with flames on the end of a nail), when they said they can do it and have technician for it I was super happy and excited.I also asked what price would it be and they told me it’s 55$, and they also ask me what I have on my nails right now, so I send pic of my current nails, said that I need a fill in( I have false nails on) But when I get there and technician started with design she couldn’t do it at all, she was struggling. So I ended up getting this poor design done only on both pinky nails, and I had to stop her because they don’t look as I ask for. And I ended up paying 95$ total even without tips!!! Basically for fill in and one coat of pink color!!

Absolutely the best experience in the city! They make the manicure that will last for at least 4-5 weeks. The salon is very bright, chic and clean. The atmosphere of the salon is just so much better from what I see in salons around river north. The service is lovely, Angela did a great job. All girls are super friendly. 5 starts, will come back again.

On 4/27/19 I decided to try a new nail place with my sister. The girls are very nice. My nails looked great. Of course my sister left very unhappy as her nails were very bubbly and not the design she asked for. Exactly 1 week later, my nails are coming apart.. I messaged them directly on Instagram. I was told to go for a fix.. after spending $34 of parking the first time I spent money again the second time on 5/4/19 I got there almost half hour late because there was a bad accident. I had to find a sitter for 2 of my kids and I took my 4yr old with me.. I get there and my nails were looked at. My nails were “fixed” by the young lady who originally did my nails the 1st time. I was guaranteed my nails would be fine. Mind u they advertise 6 weeks at least .. they only fixed 3 nails and put some type of clear nail polish on all the rest. Next day 5/5/19 my hair is getting stuck to my hair. My nail is coming off. Yesterday 5/13/19 I messaged the same person I have been messaging from the start and no respond. I also sent pictures of my nails again but nothing. I spent $65 for my nails plus 10% tip. Plus parking the first and second time. They will not respond back to me nor even offer my money back because it’s not my fault they messed up my nails to begin with. Everyone was very nice and polite, but their work is NOT GOOD AT ALL!! After my sister and I complained they lowered their price to $55 ... at first I thought I found somewhere to go all the time but not after this.

First time getting a mans manicure, now Im always going to get one here. They offered drinks and gave me an ipad to watch a movie. Great atmosphere, great location. Went downstairs to the Redhead Piano Bar right after. I highly recommend.

I waited 3 weeks to write this review because I specifically wanted to check whether the quality that they promise is actually true. I was sure it was some marketing BS. Well folks, it’s been 3 weeks, my nails are still intact. Nothing fell off, the polish has not chipped, my cuticle grew out and I will be making my 2nd appointment with them soon. My nails are super weak and brittle, so I highly recommend their gel strengthening overlay. P.S. The design is so worth it!!

I was given Ipad for entertainment and didn’t realize when my manicure was done. I already set up my next appointment in 2 weeks and can’t wait to be back to this luxury nail salon ❤️

I came in with an appointment scheduled over the phone. The lady working there told me she couldnt find my appointment on their schedule, I showed her my call logs and then she just apologized and rebooked my appointment for the same day. Basically spent twice the money on Uber back and forth. On top of that, this was the worst manicure of my life. I got a no chip done that completely peeled off within the same week. Not to mention, the nail artist left my cuticles bleeding. Never going back here even if they pay me for getting a manicure.

Worst customer service ever. I made an appointment for gel overlay and pedicure, however when I arrived at the salon the nail technician didnt speak English at all. A gentleman came to translate and immediately she became upset when he mentioned that my appointment was scheduled for gel overlay and pedicure. I assume she was telling him that she didnt have enough time to complete both services. The gentleman then made a phone call and came back to me to apologize for the inconvenience. He said the women that scheduled my appointment made a mistake and didnt tell them I wanted a pedicure. He said I would need to come back for the pedicure. The problem with his suggestion is I had already paid for parking to attend the appointment and I am leaving out of town so I made my appointment for both services so that I could have them both done before I leave. I explained that to him and all he said was sorry. I then decided not to have any service completed by them so I left. However I still ended up paying their parking garage and was never serviced by them. Extremely disappointed!

Very impressed! Found this gem because they are open late on Sunday evenings. Fantastic mani and pedi in a clean, bright, chic salon. Nail tech was super thorough, friendly and did a great job. Also offered a glass of wine, and I watched amazon prime on an iPad they gave me during my treatments. Other staff also very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Girls, when you make an appointment in advance to your master in this salon - be prepared that they will write to you 2 hours before your apartment: that the client (whose record is in front of you) is delayed, or rather the master does not have time.You say that you can wait then and postpone your recording an hour later, but the master does not agree, because he has his own plans 🤷‍♀️Now tell me, is this a service for a client ????You know, manicures are really doing well here, BUT !!!!!!!! Their client is apparently in last place ((((
