This place is legendary. A time capsule of body building and strength culture. 40k sq ft of machines from all generations. I spent a solid hour just walking around looking at the photos on the walls. The owner Dave was there both days we were there and was super helpful and accommodating. If youre into strength sports this is a must-visit.

The only thing good about this place is a variety of lift equipment. The rest is iffy: showers - no soap and no curtains, questionable cleanness of locker rooms, no towels provided, a/c does not work properly, equipment positioned too close at times... $13 for one day pass for the above ? But if you like vintage gyms, its totally your place.

Barebones and raw gym. If you’re looking for towels, fancy, luxury, look elsewhere. This is where you go to work, to be inspired and to focus. Gym is hardly ever packed. Has the essentials. A locker room (bring your own lock) bathroom, shower. But no sauna (luxury). For me, It’s exactly what I want. No BS, no hidden fees, no contracts. 150 for 3 months to start. 600 for a year. Simple as that. Range of equipment is endless. Still haven’t tried all the machines in this gym. I’ve gotten 5 friends to sign up and not one has switched gyms. Highly recommend.

Honestly have been to a bunch of gyms and Quads is the best by far. The members there are very work ethic oriented. I never see someone just sitting at a machine on their phone not doing anything. I think they actually have rules against it. The place is huge and loaded with different equipmet. I have never waited to use anything there. If you actually want to lift and work out this place is awesome 👌.

Quads Gym is amazing. I recently joined in late June of 2020 and Im so glad that I did. I have an existing membership at XSport down the street but I dont plan on going back. Quads has a ton of equipment and a great old school vibe. Its a true bodybuilding gym and a refreshing change from a commercial gym. The owner, staff, and members are friendly and people are there to actually workout. If you are looking for a pool, sauna, spa, classes, yoga, or a backdrop for your IG posts this is not the gym for you. Please stay at Xsport, LAF, Planet Fitness and CAC. If on the other hand, you want a lifting gym with a ton of machines (even ones you never heard of) NOTHING beats this place. lastly, this is the only gym Ive ever been to that actually plays good music. Something different in each area and its NOT loud which is great.

There are many definitions of what it means to be fit and this gym leans more towards bodybuilding and powerlifting. This gym is excellent if you want an eclectic collection of weights, bars, machines, and other fitness equipment. The staff is friendly and other members stay out of the way of each other because they want to do what they came to do. If you know gym etiquette and dont do curls in the squat rack, you will have a great time here. They do have cardio machines. The facility is maintained well but it wont be as sterile looking as a higher end fitness club. If you have a weightlifting workout plan, this place will have everything you need. Pricing is fair and there are no BS fees.

I have been a member for about a month with my boyfriend so far. The availability of different machines is extensive and can hit every single body part and muscle group, including those that you didnt even know could be worked out (neck, soleus, etc.). Although higher prices than Xsport and Planet Fitness, the prices are fair for the quality and the service if you are looking for a gym to gain size and build muscle. The gym has been very COVID compliant and I feel safe working out here.

This is my dream gym. Ive wanted to join for over 10-years but was always in other parts of the city. Finally I moved nearby and its reputation is well founded. The easiest way to describe it is The Venice Beach of Chicago. When you walk in you immediately feel like youve entered an 80s porn and the music fits. The best part is you can be sure that most of the people in the gym are probably stronger than you and they have tons of toys to lift, throw and play around with. Another positive that I like is I DID NOT see any of the men ogling the women working out. Everyone was there to workout and was appropriately respectful. Say goodbye to LAX and come play with heavy things!

The rest of the staff has been very friendly and so have the other gym goers. Its really easy to ask people questions and the gym is kept in great condition. The equipment doesnt really get much better, and every puts weights back when finished as per gym rules.
