Ive never been to their physical location, but I have been taking their Homebody online classes since the start of the pandemic. Ive never been motivated to work out at home before, but their classes are so fun! Their trainers are amazing and I have never been fitter. This is going to keep me sane through the winter.

Awesome gym! The trainers cultivate a very encouraging environment. I love the CrossFit feel of the gym with unique twists- the sandbags and maces are a great way to challenge your body in a different way. The workouts are a great mix of strength and conditioning and easy to modify for injuries or any limitations. Endorsed!

I have been a member of Fitness IL since its inception 3 years ago, and prior to that, was a member for another 3 yrs when it was called Club One. I know the club really well, and have been one of the very regular members there since I live in the neighborhood.

I am fortunate to work out at Lateral Fitness quite regularly thanks to my company’s corporate membership. Through it, we’ve developed quite a cozy relationship with the boutique River North gym. Besides offering classes and small-group training to our employees, Lateral has also conducted company-wide fitness and nutrition challenges that include one-on-one coaching. Our relationship with Lateral Fitness is truly one of the best perks of my job. It is amazing to have access to top-notch personal training for free during work hours. I surprised that other companies don’t take advantage of this opportunity. I will admit that at first I was hesitant to work out with my coworkers. But soon I began to see the benefits of the small-group atmosphere—namely, the opportunity to build trust, both with the trainers and with each other. Now it’s great because we encourage each other to attend classes (often difficult to do work scheduling) and try to make fitness a priority. I hear of other companies who have a random room with a couple cardio machines, and thats their fitness program. We, on the other hand, get personal training from award-winning competitive trainers. All of this on top of the fact that we no longer have to cram in workouts before or after work is just pretty darn fantastic.

My friend and I took a Pilates class here this past weekend. Instructor was great! She was able to adjust the movements for those of us who are experienced plus the newbies in the class. Really good one on one attention.I also like the Quick Fit lunchtime 30 min full body workout class. A great way to squeeze a workout into my day.Locker room was really A+, entire place is very clean. There was a definite relaxing, welcoming and personal feel to the entire place. I love the convenient location too-1/2 a block from the brown line stop.

I have been going to Lateral Fitness since it opened and it keeps getting better and better. Lateral is definitely one of the best places to exercise in Chicago. Whether you are new to exercising or super fit you can find a class or trainer who will fit what you are looking for and will help you meet your fitness/health goals.

My wife bought me four training sessions with Erik a year and a half ago. As a life-long workout junkie, I was skeptical that Id get much out of it. Im an EBC member and have tried several of there trainers. They were not intense enough to make it worth my time. I go to lateral once a week and have yet to have the same workout with Erik. Intensity is not a problem and I leave drained. Its my favorite workout of the week. My wife also works out with Erik and is in Adriennes 6 week challenge now. She loves both workouts! I would highly recommend Lateral Fitness if youre serious about taking your workouts to another level.

The great thing about this boutique gym is that they offer everything a big box gym would offer without the membership! They have a ton of great classes (from HIIT, Boocamps, Mat Pilates, yoga, etc) with top notch instructors, personal trainers (in a space that isnt full of people, nor are you fighting over machines, Muscle Activation Technique (MAT), lunchtime membership, full amenity locker room, which I love, and more! I love how clean it is there and i get an amazing workout every time!

Review UpdateThis studio is in the process of reprogramming - they have some newer instructors and are playing with a couple different formats.I want to like the Just Strength, but find the instructor uninspiring. The studio space itself can be challenging too with the hard surface there are some activities that I just dont feel comfortable doing. And at other times it is just too small.Ive been going here less frequently, but hope that they can find their sweet spot. They seem to do well on the personal training side of the house._ _ _I attend classes regularly here as part of ClassPass.I find the classes to be ok - challenging, but not particularly inspired - and the 7am time slot works well for me.Shower facilities are a big plus.
