A dentist that will make you stop dreading going to the dentist! Dr. Kim is wonderful and her staff is so friendly. Today I had my teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist Rita and she did such a great job. Totally painless but very thorough. Never crazy long waits to make an appointments or to be seen once you arrive. Definitely check this place out if you need a dentist in the Bucktown area!

This is my third attempt in over two years to find a dentist/dental practice that I liked. I had x-rays and a basic cleaning. Everything was awesome. The dental hygienist was very thorough and personable. Dr. Kim was also very personal and professional. They didn’t take hours of x-rays or try to sell me on unnecessary work. It was very refreshing and I’ve already scheduled my next appointment. Highly recommend.

I love this office. I have been to several dentists in the area and none were exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Kim is great. She’s quick and tries to get you the most for your insurance dollar. For example I had a cavity but she told me to wait so I wouldn’t exceed my limit this year, hence saving me money. Also the hygienists are all really nice and personable. I would recommend!

Dr. Kim and her team are great--the best experience Ive had with a dentist. I was new to the neighborhood and had a relatively urgent dental need arise. They were able to fit me in the same day I contacted them. I wasnt able to arrange childcare on such short notice, and they even helped watch my newborn daughter during the appointment, something I would never expect from a dentists office. Truly exceptional service. Ill be returning regularly (well...hopefully just every six months!).

Been here twice and have always had a good experience. Especially with COVID, the people here are top notch with their hygiene: temperature scan, face shield, and hand sanitizer. I feel safe and welcomed here.

I haven’t been great about seeing the dentist (I.e. not since I left the military 10 years ago). I initially came in to get a much needed cleaning, but ended up requiring 2 additional visits to make up for my years of neglect - additional cleaning as well as a filling for a cavity and crown for a root canal.After these 3 visits I couldn’t be happier. The entire staff is amazing, my results are better than I ever expected (teeth are clean, cavity is filled, crown is in and after one day I can’t tell a difference), and to add icing on the cake there’s been no hassle scheduling appointments that fit into my work schedule.Really can’t recommend them enough.

Dr. Kim and Jennifer were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! One of the best experiences Ive ever had at the dentist, they took care of me as well as made me knowledgeable showing me ways to keeping my teeth healthy and strong. Best of all the whole procedure was pain free! I no longer fear going to the dentist anymore will definitely be back!!!

They are the best dental office Ive ever gone to. Everyone there is very laid back, genuine, and kind, but also professional so that you feel like youre in good hands, even if you hate the dentist (and I have always dreaded going to the dentist). Ive recommended them to at least 5 different people, and then some of those people have gone on to recommend them to others, too, haha.

Dr. Kim and her staff are wonderful. The office is spotless and tastefully decorated and the location is very close to my home with street parking easily available.I am always easily able to get an appointment and they thoroughly explain and note any questions/ concerns during my visit. Dr. Kim and her staff are tremendous. Their treatment for my cleanings, and the placement of a crown on my implant, were fantastic. They clearly work hard to ensure as painless an experience as one can have at a dentist.

Great dentist, great staff!

Everyone here is exceptionally friendly and the office is absolutely gorgeous (this really does put you at ease). I had a cleaning and two fillings done. I had never had a cavity, and Dr. Kim took plenty of time to explain what it would be like and reassure me. She was extremely fast and willing to put up with me asking her to stop a few times when it got a little overwhelming. Overall, though, I nearly fell asleep while the work was being done as I felt so comfortable. Its a shame Im leaving Chicago soon, as I dont think Ill find a better office.

I was having pain in a tooth and Dr. Kim recommended I get a crown placed instead of going through the process of getting an extraction and implant because it is not covered by insurance. I trusted her judgment and recommendation, being in the medical field myself it sounded like an appropriate treatment, especially with the way insurance is these days. Moved from Chicago, and I was still having pain in my tooth so I went to get it looked at again—the first thing this dentist said is “whoever did that work put a crown on a baby tooth, which should never have been done.” And after telling him about the process, come to find out I should have never been given or offered a crown, and at the minimum had Dr. Kim done an X ray before drilling down my tooth to the root she would have realized that. At this point I’m thinking (after I was in tears because I had no idea that a crown involved shaving your entire tooth because that explanation was left out), she had to realize after seeing such a small root that this tooth was a baby tooth and she STILL put a crown on it, and never said a word about doing something completely against standard of care. Now I still have to eventually go back and get an extraction and implant because that is the only option, and I’m just praying my crown will hold up until I’m financially in a decent place that I can shell out thousands. I would have been better off and safer doing absolutely nothing. Very disappointed in the carelessness of this doctor.

Ive never loved going to the dentist before... -), but now, Im a changed woman! Woot! Woot!

I found Dr. Paguios office roughly 3 or 4 years ago. Id been living in Chicago for about 8 months, when an unbearable tooth ache struck. After not sleeping for two days (pain meds werent working), I randomly picked Art of Dental care from a directory listing after hours; they fit me in the next day to figure out what was up.Dr. Paguio took pictures of everything to show me his progress/process, and explained everything in detail along the way. A much needed root canal later, I felt like a million dollars. (I must confess, in fairness, that I hate the needles of anesthesia more than the numbed up feeling of a root canal)Ive always been apprehensive of dentists, as Ive had some fairly awful experiences in the past. Not with Dr. Paguio or any of his assistants, however. He and his entire staff have been nothing but polite, friendly, professional, informative, accommodating and, well, great at their job(s).Ive continued going there since that first visit; cleanings, crowns, another root canal and a couple of fillings. Not once have they tried to talk me into something I didnt need. Not once have they tried to squeeze unnecessary money from me.Ive found a great, honest dentist & you should give the office a call if you find yourself in need of such a thing.Cheers!
