Not a fan of the dentist. But Dr Eugene and all the staff and hygienist were amazing. Definitely recommend. Least painful cleaning I’ve ever had.

I am a new patient and this was my first visit. Dr. Urda and her staff were very knowledgable, friendly, supportive and reassuring throughout my visit. Dr. Urda gave me a thorough explanation of my dental health status and treatment plan. She took time to assure all my questions were answered. I look forward to being a long term patient. You are greeted as soon as you walk in. Masks are available if you dont have one. ( I forgot my mask in my car). So glad they had them available. I was called in very quickly and Reyna was great in explaining everything before and during the procedure. The Dr. Urda was friendly and put you at ease as she explained procedure that were being done and most importantly why they needed to be done.

After shying away from dentistry after a VERY bad experience at my previous rock-n-roll themed dentist, I tried Smile Science. They’ve been awesome — competent, professional, and — most importantly — honest. They explain what they find, offer good suggestions for care at home, and (unlike my previous dentist) don’t recommend procedures I don’t need. And the TVs on the ceiling are a nice distraction. Highly recommend.

I’ve been a patient at Smile Science for about five years. The staff is friendly and professional. They make sure you feel comfortable and I trust their observations and opinions of my oral health. They are also not critical if you aren’t perfect at flossing. Instead they encourage you to set realistic goals to continue improving your oral health routine.

I came to Smile Science Chicago based on positive google reviews. When I called, they informed me my insurance would cover the cleaning in full. The day of, they charged me $150, saying my insurance would pay me back. They later called and said that I wouldn’t be reimbursed, and that it was on me for having poor dental insurance. They apologized, saying that their employees had done me wrong by telling it would be covered. They told me they would bring it up in a meeting, but I was just going to be out $150. I then was billed again for another $114, because they “forgot” to bill me for my x-ray day of. Save yourself a headache, go anywhere else if you aren’t on excellent dental insurance. Do not trust what these employees tell you about the financial commitment you’re making.

Monica Urda, DDS is my favorite dentist ever!! She and her staff are wonderful. They take great care of clients. You feel welcome and in good hands from entering the door to departing. Dr. Urda is talented, friendly and warm.My fillings look like beautiful new teeth!

Wonderful patient care. I have a very hard time getting numb, but Dr. Urda and her team are so patient and gentle that procedures I used tostress about are a breeze. It might not be the cheapest place in the city, but seeing the same faces each time and having a long term care plan is worth it.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve had a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist my whole life. I had some throbbing pain in my tooth in the middle of the night and quickly googled best dentist and was able to schedule an appointment almost immediately. Dr Urda, Kyla and the entire staff at Smile Science were unbelievable. There was no wait time, they talked me through the process of what to expect, what all of my options were and most importantly, provided an incredible service. I am so happy to have found Smile Science! If I could give them more stars I would. It had been some time since I had been to a dentist, and I had a lot of anxiety. But the staff made me feel so comfortable and were amazing. My dental hygienist explained everything to me, and did an amazing job with my teeth. They also helped walk me through a plan to fix some issues and the next steps moving forward. They really seem concerned about the well being of their patients and making sure you feel comfortable, while helping you figure out the best course of treatment. Also straight forward about pricing, and super helpful with scheduling. So happy to have a new dentist, and would 100 percent recommend to everyone.

Amazing dentist! This is a great practice. The dental hygienist and dentist always talk me through everything they are doing and make sure I am comfortable every step of the way. Everyone is also extremely nice and helpful. An added bonus you can watch Netflix while you get your teeth cleaned!

Everyone is so nice and friendly. I have had several visits over the last few months and the receptionist always remembers me and asks me questions. Allison the hygienist is the nicest and makes uncomfortable procedures very tolerable. While going to the dentist is not my favorite, smile science makes it the best possible experience.

The staff are very professional and welcoming . The place is very clean. The dentist are very gentle and caring. I would recommend the place.

This was my first visit today. I was so impressed at how thorough the exam was, the detailed information provided about my teeth and a comprehensive treatment plan presented plainly, including costs. If you’re looking for a new dentist I highly recommend Smile Science Chicago! The staff is super friendly and they take good care of you and make sure you’re comfortable the entire time. The process of making an appointment was super easy and they checked my dental insurance benefits for me. If there’s anything treatment wise outside of a normal check up they discuss a treatment plan with you along with what to expect cost wise. Melanie was my dental hygienist and she was absolutely wonderful! Dr. Urda was also great. Just because I feel like it’s worth noting, there are friggin TVs on the ceiling and you can watch whatever you want on Netflix while you get your teeth cleaned so....10/10 recommend, look no further.

I’ve been putting off going to the dentist for over two years (oops), and finally was forced to go because I am losing my dental insurance at the end of the month. Naturally, I had quite a bit of work that had to be done. I informed the staff that I needed this all to be done before my health insurance runs out, and they seriously have done a fantastic job working with me and getting everything done as quickly and efficiently as possible!What normally would be a stressful experience, has been so seamless and easy thanks to the whole staff at Smile Science.I get very anxious at the dentist, and Dr. Urda has done an amazing job at putting me at ease during my fillings, often checking how I am doing, and lightening the mood with conversation and humor. The TVs on the ceilings are a great touch! Also, all of my appointments have been running on schedule, sometimes I am even able to get in early which is a plus!I seriously cannot recommend Smile Science enough for anyone who is looking for a dentist in Chicago! You will not be disappointed!

Everyone here is super nice! People on the phone are helpful with scheduling. If you’re a new client you can fill out your forms ahead of time online. If you like they can remind you of your appointment via text. Very modern facility. I watched Netflix on a ceiling mounted TV while I had my cleaning done. They took high resolution pictures of my teeth and showing me those images they talked me through what needed to be done. I recommend them. Street parking.

Really enjoyed seeing Melanie and Dr. Urda for routine dental care this week! Very glad I found Smile Science years ago from a Groupon. Dr. Urda is very conscious of patients finical limitations. She focuses only on what oral issues need immediate care, while clearly communicating steps patients can take to avoid preventable (and potentially costly) procedures. Her style not only saves patients money, but also encourages us to be more active in our own care. She explains things very clearly to those of us who havent studied dentistry while keeping a calm chill vibe. Thanks for years of great care!

Highly recommend. After years of going to childhood dentists that don’t take the time to explain or answer questions, this clinic was refreshing to go to. Melanie the hygienist was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Dr. Urda answered all my questions and would proactively explain each test prior to proceeding and made sure I was comfortable with what she was doing.

I’m so glad I made the switch over to smile science. I feel listened to and understood with my dental concerns. Plus they have an awesome and clean office.

Very happy with all the care I have received at Smile Science. They have really helped me improve the health of my teeth and gums. As the practice has grown, there have been more dentists added who have all done a good job with my care but I would prefer to have Dr. Urda be the dentist I see just for continuity and for my comfort level.

Dr. Urda is unquestionably the best dentist I have ever been treated. She is incredibly bright, asks strategic questions for diagnostic and truly cares about her patients. She and her staff are also excellent with children. Her hygienist Melanie is also amazing. I cant recommend this group enough.

I cant believe Im saying this, but I had an awesome experience at the dentist. I went to Dr. Urda after a different dentist botched a filling. She uses the latest technology and techniques to get the job done right. Her front office staff is also amazing. On top of all this, they are fair and transparent with their pricing and no one at the office seems to be simply trying to run the bill up. They did nothing beyond what was medically necessary and charged me a reasonable cash rate after my insurance refused to cover the new filling.

I highly recommend Smile Science especially for anyone without dental insurance. This practice offers an in-house benefits program for $325 annually, which includes two exams, two cleanings, two sets of x-rays and two emergency visits, as well as discounts on other procedures. This affordable option makes dental care possible for those who may not otherwise have access/ability to pay for it. I called several places to get estimates on a cleaning, and no other dentist office on the north side come close to matching this value. In addition to that, Dr. Urda is incredibly kind and has great chair-side manner. The offices are new/state-of-the-art, super clean, and during my visit they had the Great British Baking Show playing on the ceiling TVs. 😍 I felt right at home!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Urda at Smile Science Chicago for a few years now and I have never had a bad experience. I have since moved from the area but still drive to them because I’ve been so impressed. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The hygienist do a fantastic job and provide helpful education about what I’m doing well and what could be better which I greatly appreciate. As a nurse, I was happy with the safety precautions they are taking in regards to infection prevention during this pandemic. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough!

LOVE this practice! Scheduled an appointment last minute online, and not even 20 minutes later I get a call from the receptionist who was extremely friendly and helpful to get me in earlier because I was having discomfort. Showed up to my new patient appointment and was almost immediately seated by Rose(: Dr. Urda was already in the operatory ready to go! She was incredibly kind and straightforward. She didn’t pressure me into any other treatment and she was extremely efficient and gentile during my procedure. My entire visit only took me 20 minutes, and I was literally giddy with excitement that everything went so well, and that the Dr. was so kind and easygoing. I honestly can’t wait to go back for recalls! I would highly recommend this practice to everyone.

If I could give Dr Urda a 10 stars I would!Starting with the office and the people who work there - she has increased the safety of the office with all the normal protocols for Covid and air purifiers in every patient area. The front desk folks and the dents hygienists are all so nice and personable and you can tell they really care about the patients!I started going to Dr Urda about two years agoafter realizing I needed to get over my fear of the dentist - hadn’t been in years and was so nervous. She came really highly recommended so I booked an appointment and will never see a different dentist ever again! Only dr Urda!They are always gentle with me understanding my fear. They work with the latest equipment so things like X-rays and other tests are less invasive and easier on the patients. This last visit I was in so much pain and really thought I had cracked a tooth or something - nope after running tests that showed my teeth were fine she said I had a sinus infection and my top teeth were taking the brunt of it since the roots sit so high. Dr Urda prescribed me some meds and I am now all better with NO dental work done - how’s that for an honest dentist!I strongly recommend Smile Science and Dr Urda - she is the best.

Hands down the nicest staff, and most thorough dentist Ive ever encountered. Plus they have TVs above your chair so you can kind of laugh in your mind at comedy while they take care of you. Extremely sanitary and modern office. Highly recommend, and also recommend you floss as they so frequently coach me. :)

Dr. Urda and staff are fantastic. I have sensitive teeth and they are patient and will use a little numbing gel during cleanings to make it more comfortable. Their in-house insurance plan is a great value if you need any additional treatment beyond 2 basic cleanings per year.

My experience on 2/6/21 was excellent. My dental hygienist provided me with thorough details of my oral status, materials required for improving my oral health, and gave me an explanation of what to expect from my treatment.
