The barbers are great the shop itself is clean its wheelchair accessible they are respecting the needed spacing for covid-19 and affordable and make you feel like family

Im a little disappointed with them today. The store normally closes at 7pm. I got there for a cut at 6:22 pm & got turned away. I drove about 35 mins to get there and I leave town in 2 days.

I really like Pumas. Im am early bird so I can get in before 9 and there isnt a wait. The clientele are good respectable people, so I dont have to worry about ignorant conversations and pan handlers. They always do a good job with haircuts.

My husband took our son there and requested a specific barber because he has a specialty cut. This particular barber is the only one who can cut my sons hair to our liking. Since we are a paying customer, it shouldnt be a big deal. Not!!! The owner would not allow him to wait for the barber we requested, he said that we had to sit in the available barbers chair. Really??? My husband told him that he cant tell him who to spend his money with. The owner asked him to leave. That is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. Basically the barbers will never be able to build their own clientele because of this. The barbers act like they are scared of him. I dont know what type of business he running, which is probably why you never see a lot of people in there. Never again!!! We will take our business and money else where. #badbusiness

It appears some folks may have issue with the owners business model but it works for me. I can get in and out in a timely fashion...so far with a decent haircut every time. I dont care which barber cuts it. Ive been to shops where barbers have their clientele or only takes appointments and it often makes for a long wait if youre a walk in or new customer.

Now heres a old school barber who knows hair period talkative sanitation of all equipment after each cut tell all his new young barber about clean respected cutting

Awesome barbershop. The new group of guys along with the experience guys are very profressonal and keep the cuts and time short and simple..i have seen and heard of former barbers at the shop that had bad experiences but havent seen or heard nothing bad about. From the group of guys there now .. No waiting .first come first serve and professional..the owner is strictly about business and fair to all clients and barbers which might not be like by those wanting specific or treatment but all in all its a great shop

The best barber in the whole entire west side lovely atmosphere positive and black experience black leaders like Harold Washington and other black political leaders posted in the wall black experience positive environment especially for young adults and young teens and no smoking in the barbershop the whole experience is positive for young adults a nice place to send your son and no cursing in the Barbershop

The owner puma is great I have been using this business for 18yrs with my nephew and now I bring my son its always a new face in their but puma makes sure ther service you receive it top rate his price point is very fare

Im getting ready to take my boys now! I have three boys and its a comfortable atmosphere. No loud music, no people hanging around, no one selling CDs or bothering you to buy stuff, no loud talking or cursing, good prices for service. The staff is excellent!!!! Its the ONLY place we go

The owner Mr. Jones/ Mr. Puma is extremely rude! He disrespected me because I ask for a specific barber to cut my sons hair. He cursed at me and told me to never return to his shop because that is not the way he runs business! I handed him my money in his hand, he sat my change on the counter. He has no respect. Thats probably why the place is always empty because of his mouth. I will never return back to that shop and I will never refer anyone to get a cut at that shop.
