Earlier this month I had some car battery issues and was shopping around for a new local mechanic, tried this place, and am pleased - I found my new place! Joe was extremely helpful and polite. He was very professional and provided excellent customer service in addition to great work on my car. It wasnt condescending toward me (female) as some other places happen to be. I felt very comfortable here. Prices were reasonable. Very honest and up front work! Highly recommended.

As a woman who admittedly knows very little about cars past the very basics, it can be hard to find a good auto shop. Well, Ive finally found that place! Everyone at BJs was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. I went in for an oil change, but I also asked them to check to see why my windshield wiper fluid wasnt spraying. They took the time to show me what was wrong and why it happened (cracked windshield wiper fluid pump because of a missing fog light cover).The owner, Joe, was so kind. He got the part the same day, and made sure to accommodate me coming back later with my schedule. Plus I really feel like his prices are EXTREMELY fair. I will definitely be coming here from now on for all of my cars maintenance and repairs. Thank you Alex, Joe, and everyone at BJs for doing such an excellent job!

Ill tell you right off the bat I am the first person who has problems trusting anyone but myself to work on my truck. That being said Jim and his mechanics are the only people that I will allow to work on my truck. Most places you go to will change anything you ask them, whether its needed or not, and then still find something else that needs fixing. Jimmy will call you and say hey you dont need this, the problem is this, and gets it taken care of. On the off chance you have an issue that he cant do (which is rare) he will send you where you need to go and even those people arent out to rip you off. Thank you and the guys in the shop Jimmy, with the hours I work it would take me weeks to find time to take care of what I need. I recommend BJ auto repair to anyone that needs work done. Shops like this are rare and they need to continue to stay around.

Great work, reasonable prices, will not upsell you on a lotta work you dont need. If there is something they come across, theyll notify you about it and and suggest a remedy along with cost for repair. But the decision is always yours to make. They care about you, the customer. Highly recommend!

If you need brakes, come and see Jimmy! When I called him for the quote, he walked me through everything my previous mechanic did wrong - he described my issues exactly as they happened. I made the appointment, took the van in, and my brakes are better than when I bought it!! I am not kidding. Prices were reasonable, car was in-and-out the same day, and he didnt try to sell me stuff I didnt need. I appreciate his honesty and knowledge. I hope you come see Jimmy for your cars needs.

A great shop for just about any repair. Dropped my truck on Monday since my a/c wasn’t working and had it back fixed and working great on Tuesday. If I ever have another need for auto repair, I will only go to BJs.

Honest and fair. Wouldnt go anywhere else

Took my car to a Honda dealership, they wanted over $500 and take 4-6 hours, for installing the car antenna that had broken off. BJ’s did it in 1 hour for a lot less and waterproofed it as well. This is the second time I’ve taken a car to them. Good mechanics are hard to find so I will be back.

Wife needed new brakes on her Subaru Forester. Heard a neighbor giving praise to BJs Auto Repair. With everything going on, and it being so close to my house. I wanted to support a local small business. He gave great information, and offered us a quote on tires. Jim was a pleasure to talk to. He even treated my daughter like a princess, winning her over with suckers.

Let Me start off by saying this : As I driver for AAA I’ve dropped allot of cars off at this location and I do not live far! This place was always word vomited too me and no one had anything bad too say ! As a tow truck driver I’ve always had a laugh with someone here and a good experience.I am a person who does my own mechanic work . But I brought them a 2013 Cadillac ATS with ( what seemed too be a wiring issue ) long story short, you can do allot too a car but when it comes too wiring I leave that too the professionals . These new cars have so many modules, wiring, relays, etc that I just didn’t want too deal with it . Last time somthing like this happened I got ripped 3500$ from a dealer and still left with a 80% finished car . It was never the same again . So I avoid people touching my cars . Well, one day the car ran fine and I went too go leave the store and car wouldn’t come out of part, interior lights didn’t work, tail lights didn’t work, etc . I was extremely frustrated cause I’ve seen it before and I was not about too go through it again . I said too myself who do I wanna try . Well! Happy my mind choose this place, I took the car too them, they were very professional and kind. Got a call the next day my car was done !? ( shocking ) . Got there too find out it was just a fuse, a 2 cent China fuse .... I was charged 1 hour diagnostic. At that point they won me over . They could have ripped me for more, replaced things they didn’t have too ( but they didn’t ! )Super straight forward business, honest ! And very helpful ! Thank y’all so much !

To me theyre very trust worthy. I had two situations where they couldve told me they were serious problems. Instead, just minor and somewhat minor. Im certain a dealer wouldve tried to clear out my bank account with add ons. Ill be back should I need too.

Zero star: If you are a PERSON OF COLOR, dont waste your time and money. I asked Jim if he had discounts for the quote he gave me and he yelled at me and refused to fix my car (even after I offered to pay the full quote) saying his shop is not dollar general!Now see how many reviews here say Jim is a RACIST and BULLIES customers! I should have known better! And if its a matter of negotiating prices, there is a better way of communicating! Dollar tree wow Jim!

I wish I could give a five star rating. Other people that visit this repair shop seem to like it and enjoy the folksy service. Let me explain why I am giving a one star rating. I took my vehicle in and let them know that I was taking a long trip. I asked for an oil change and if they could look it over for any and all possible defects. They did the oil change...$50 and said that one of the front wheels needed a new part. So I scheduled the service and had them take care of the part...$400. The day before the trip, I turned on the air conditioning and it didnt work. They were kind enough to schedule last minute service before we got in the road and offered to recommend shops while I was on the road if I experienced any more difficulties...$300. While on the trip, air conditioning went out, transmission went out, oil light started coming on. I called the repair shops that were recommended by BJs and they demanded $120 upfront before they would even see my vehicle. Had to get transmission fixed on the road $500. Still dont have air conditioning. I wont trust them with my vehicle for another oil change. Oh, when I have been in the waiting area, the conversations are very racist, and they probably dont even realize it, which is a huge concern. All of this adds up to a one star rating. I have been going to BJs for a few years now and glad Iam. Jimmy and Bill and entire staff are friendly and go above and beyond to repair your vehicle at reasonable prices. My youngest daughter was shy about going to BJs alone one day but Jimmy made her feel like family at the get go and made her laugh and that put her at ease plus he resolved her issue. Hope to be going to BJs for many years to come.

Who knows with google but for the most part are honest and will tell you how it is with no BS which i appreciate. My first experience here the other day to get my brakes and check engine light looked at. This was maybe the 3rd time in my life that I didnt get ripped off on car maintenance. They gave me specifics of what was wrong and I ended up paying 1/8th of what I was fearing the bill would be. My brakes havent sounded and felt this good since they were brand new.

I walked in and met Jim and Debbie. My mothers car needed new brakes, after Jim did a check. The service was outstanding! He did a complete check and advised me of other things she will need to have done. He did not pressure me to do additional work as car service departments do. I will use BJ Auto to complete all work she needs.

Bill in Jim and his shop are the FIRST mechanics shop in a long time that I have not gotten that scam artist that drains your bank account feeling from. Quick oil change, nice service

I was in little nervous about finding an auto mechanic expecially being a female and new to the area. This guys are fast and they dont up sell you. They tell you the problem fix and get you on your way.

I took my car here based on the great reviews I read so I got an oil change that cost me over $50 but I said to myself you know what, these guys are pros so I dont mind paying a little extra as long as they take care of my carI brought the car back to get some more work done only to get ripped off and charged over $800 for rigging my horn and cleaning some valves....I was told over the phone that because they were not able to fix my electrical problem that they would not charge me for the time so I said ok thank you but go ahead and fix the horn and the reverse lights for me please..Jim agreed and when I came in I got the bill and he stated that he had put a lot of hours into the car and had to charge me for labor...once again I recalled the great reviews and thought why would they rip me off so I paid and Jim told me that if I had any problems to bring it back in...to my surprise I discovered that they had cracked my dashboard pretty bad...so I brought it back less than 5 days later after I saw the dashboard and my rear lights came back on and would not shut off......when I brought the car back...Jim wanted to charge me to look at the car again even though it was something he said he had fixed already even after I reminded him of how (he told me if I had any problems just to bring it back in) and his response was I cant work on it for free I refused to pay anymore and when I went to... Bill, with a straight face he denied damaging the dashboard...and even giggled as to say I must be crazy...Jim however knew that Bill broke the dash and was quick to tell me that they would replace it(over the phone he stated that he had to pay over $500 for the new dashboard and when I showed up with the car he stated again only this time he said he had to spend $700 on the dashboard-his way of saying dont feel bad about spending $800 we had to pay more than half for that dash) and even went as far as to tell me Bill was having problems so that I cut him some slack(straight cons)...Jim went as far as to call me Carlos knowing well that my name is Sal...to ad insult to injury when the dashboard came in he wanted me to leave my truck for 2 days(like I would trust this lying con men with my car again) I said no thanks Jim ill just take the part with me....The last thing I wanted to do was write a bad review about my mechanic but I was so disappointed and felt that I should warn people about these cons...the only honest person there I would have to say is his son...very cool guy and I should have had him look at my car and not Bill(he has problems)...overall a waste of time and 2 con men who think they are slick...all that experience is not in cars its in bullsh***** the customer....good luck.

Wont rip you off

I bought a 1975 Camaro knowing it would need mechanical and some cosmetic work. I went to two other repair shops in the area and was told they dont work on old or classic cars. Each mechanic did recommend BJs and said they were the best. So with a recommendation from two local mechanics I went to BJs. Here is what they have done so far and mind you the following repairs is what I wanted done and they agreed because its what the car needed. Installed windshield wiper motor, took out dashboard and replaced with new dash, took out instrument panel and replaced with new panel, rewired and installed new gauges, replaced fuel sending unit, installed gas gauge module, installed master cylinder, booster pump installed, installed electric vacuum pump, installed frame connectors, installed front springs, shocks and bushings, took out rear seat belts because bolts were stripped. Did a complete inspection of vehicle and more that I cant remember. When I have a question and I stop in they always stop what theyre doing to talk never have they been rude or told me they didnt have the time. I had an issue with the new gauges and vacuum pump and they fixed it for free because they installed it. I supplied over 95 percent of the parts and they did all the labor. When they had my car for a few days or overnight they kept it in the shop. All that labor and some parts have cost me exactly $2,150 which I think is very fair and like i mentioned before if something they installed breaks or fails to work they fix it for free. Bill knows old school cars because he owns some and works on all types daily. They are constantly busy but I just had a thermastat problem and the are taking my car and will have it done in a day or two. They never w know my car better then me I will go nowhere else for repairs.
