The staff is friendly and helpful, and the space is always well-kept and clean. The amenities are in great condition. Highly recommend NewCity!
Moving in was incredibly smooth. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The amenities and view are amazing!
Wagers snd dryers have distorted all my cloths! Hassled every time I get parking passes for my guest! No one manning Front desk st all times, not secure!
The noise from our neighbors upstairs has literally made our unit uninhabitable now. Constant parties (some in my opinion that clearly break both covid and the management company’s policies) and no repercussions. It’s now become a detriment to our health and unfortunately that shouldn’t be the “luxury” living that is promoted here. We see people moving out often and it’s more evident to me why now over the past 3 months. Our voices as tenants are definitely not heard like they were with previous management.Edit: To managements response below - youve promised multiple times to reach out and even promised youd contact me monday, yet did not. So quit with the lies
Move in day was smooth and the experience has been great so far! The space is awesome, the amenities are great and it’s so nice to be in walking distance of Mariano’s, dining, movie theater, shopping and more!
Elevators are awful. There are 3 elevators in this building and literally all 3 are down! Building communication is equally poor. We will be leaving as soon as our lease is up!To The New City Management Team:Yes, I have been receiving your regular updates on the elevator situation. For instance, I received the update on November 21 thanking residents for their patience while noting that elevator B5 would be fixed within the next 3-4 weeks followed by 3-5 days for installation. Based on this timeline, the repairs should have been completed by Christmas (certainly by the end of the year). However, the next regular update I received was yesterday, January 8, saying that both of the normal elevators would be down for 4-5 days and that the freight elevator would be the only working elevator. That is until it too went down yesterday evening. The next regular update I received was today at noon, again thanking residents for their patience (while 2 of the 3 elevators remained inoperable). Meanwhile, management has made no effort whatsoever to remedy the situation with residents. Its safe to say that the patience of your residents is running very thin.
Diane in the leasing office is incredible. She is so helpful, accommodating, and never pushy. I just moved to NewCity and she made the whole experience so easy (which is rare when moving). I looked at about 10 different buildings in Chicago and I knew NewCity was the right choice due to their authenticity and transparency. I highly recommend NewCity and big thanks to Diane for making my experience so seamless.
Beautiful building, experience and amenities. Love it!
I moved to Chicago for a work relocation, and without knowing the city too well, this seemed like a great option.I was not disappointed. The unit itself was very nice, had a fully functional kitchen and laundry room, and had great views, and the minor maintenance requests that I had were handled promptly. The pool was great during the warmer months and never too crowded. The gym is good for an apartment complex. I also liked the close proximity to the grocery store and the many restaurants as shops, especially during the Chicago winter. There were countless other amenities that were very helpful as well, such as the dry cleaning service and freight elevator for moving.Rebecca and JT were extremely welcoming and easy to work with.
I lived here for 2 years (until my partner and I moved in together) and had a very positive experience. This was a great place to live while adjusting to my 60+ hour a week job. I was in one of the studios and found it to be very spacious and appreciated the in-unit laundry. Whenever I needed anything fixed, Isidoro was fast and prompt. The door people were great too - especially Shavon. TJ and Rebecca in the leasing office are incredibly responsive too. I felt like all my needs were taken care of, and living near the train and within the same building as Mariano’s was a time saver. A few negatives were the elevator situation (took months to fix but I also think that was probably a one-time thing related to the manufacturer) and that the walls could’ve been thicker. It got a bit rough when I was trying to work on weekends/nights and could hear my neighbor’s children through the walls, but that’s also just apartment living.
Review of The Residences at New City - Chicago, IllinoisIn May of 2018 my wife and I moved to The Residences at New City in Chicago. We moved to Chicago to appropriately spoil our grandson. He and his parents have just moved south, and so our time in Chicago is over - for now.I’m writing to share our experience with Rebecca Hollenbach and the entire staff at New City. I have rarely met a more friendly, conscientious and competent team. This team, combined with the amenities - and location- of New City (pool, common areas, attached movie theater, dinners by Mariano’s, and an exceptional building made our short time in Chicago memorable.(our grandson helped too;)If you’re looking for a five star experience, New City and their team know how to do it! Lived here for 2 years, elevators broken down frequency you will wait very long time. Unprofessional management, they really cheap especially Tod. Coffee station extremely cheap they used all kind the cheap cup and coffee. They Limited the time to use it, if compares to the others luxury highrise buildings they provide coffee station 24 hours.Unorganized with Pool, Shopping Carts, doorman is not present at the door several times, if you have guests visiting they will wait forever outside the building, try to imagine in Winter time🤦♀️ Parking is extremely bad bad here. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Look for others place if you want to get a quality service and feel worth for money you spend. This place is suck! Only location that worth.
Really nice love it
