The management office and maintenance team at Park Wellington are exceptional. They really seem genuine in their care which is rare. This is a great value with great service in a great neighborhood!
Management and maintenance were always very courteous, prompt, and helpful. Clean, no issues with laundry machines or bugs. Floors were not real hardwood but were a high=quality laminate that didnt easily scratch. No issues with excessive charges or fees. Pretty quiet building but if your neighbors are loud youll notice the walls are a bit thin.
I had the pleasure of staying at Park Wellington from Apr to Oct 2019. Management was extremely helpful as I was looking for a place. They worked with me to secure an apt, provided info for furniture rental places, and gave me numbers to contact for Internet, utilities, etc. I had a 1 bedroom apt that I found it to be exactly as I wanted. All maintenance was done within 24 hrs of submitting the problem. If the kitchen was more user friendly I would have given 5 stars. I hope to stay here again next summer.
I decided to move from Dallas to Chicago with my boyfriend in November of 2018 and Tammi Holness made the transition from one apartment to a new one in the same complex very smooth and easy. The location of our cozy studio is so convenient and very accommodating when traveling to work or looking for a place to eat/shop. It can get a little noisy at night but it gives it the city feel; the night life around the area is amazing! I couldnt be more thankful or happy with our decision to move here. A huge thank you to the Wellington Management!! :)
Just moved here from another state and I couldn’t be more pleased. TLC Management made the process of signing a lease and getting all the necessary information remotely a breeze. When I finally arrived in Chicago, Dan was very kind and helpful in getting me situated and squared away. I super appreciated his recommendations for places to check out as someone who is not from the area. The apartment itself is very spacious and was very clean upon arrival. It has super cute built in feature and the kitchen was recently updated. I love it! Even moreso, the location is ideal. Just two blocks from just about everything: the lakefront trail, groceries, coffee, local shops, night life, restaurants, and more. It’s wonderful!Highly recommend!
I lived at Park Wellington for almost 4 years and loved it. The property manager Tammi was great to work with.
This place is a DUMP. I chose PW (tenant May 2017-July 2018) because I got an amazing deal on a sublease from a long term tenant and since this was my first solo apartment I was psyched as I love the area. I should have looked more closely at what I was about to get myself into. I lived on the first floor which had the lovely view of the brick wall of the building next to us. This is true to pretty much anyone living on the west side of the building until you get to the top floors. I got 0 natural light at all which made the place dark, damp, and depressing. This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the elevators are EXTREMELY old and broke down for months at a time. Walls were painted a cheap ugly color mainly to cover up the dime store drywall job. I didnt mind since the rent deal was great and summer time in chicago is awesome no matter what. Fast forward 6 months to when its time to renew my lease the rent increased 20%!! I hate moving so bit the bullet and signed on for another year. Not more than a week later I start to find ROACHES in my apartment. I contact the building manager expecting an exterminator within 24 hours. She replied Those arent cockroaches they are water bugs from the sewer. I will see when I can send someone down to take a look. I couldnt believe what I read! I replied that was not acceptable and how she would feel if she had to live in an infested home for a week. Almost begrudgingly she sent an exterminator but time and time again I kept finding them. Enough was enough when I put on my hat before going out only to notice a ROACH IN MY HAT!! I decided taking a chunk from my savings to get out of my lease is what I had to do because the bug issue was never going to get fixed. I moved across the street to 445 Wellington and the difference is night and day!! Trust me stay away from this place you can get much better quality for the same price. The main draw of this place was they were so cheap but that has ended so now its mainly an overpriced dump in an amazing neighborhood. Pros: A+ location credit card laundry responsive/friendly maintenance Cons: BUGS!!! Little natural light Old, musty smell They wont hesitate to slap a late fee but if you need something from them its like pulling teeth.Attached is a photo of one of many critters I came across during my time. This one greeted me as I came to pick up my mail. I am sure there will be a follow up response to the review and I am 100% sure it will be dealt with quicker than any of the issues I had when I actually paid them rent.
Thomas the building manager is great.
