Having boycotted United for many many years, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Chicago Terminals were clean, well maintained, freshened up even. There was lots of places to sit and relax. Lots of places to charge. There needs to be more food options. When the food lines are out the door, it might be time to swap out yet another tshirt shop for some more food.

Getting lost here is extremely easy, but getting unlost is also just as easy.Theres over a 100 restaurants however however due to the pandemic currently yesterday figuring out which ones are closed versus permanently shut down is a bit tricky.Like any popular airport you can expect to see some very interesting sites that you would normally expect such as a giant fake dinosaur with a mask on ask going in a middle of terminal one.Due to the popularity of this airport it even has its own Built-in train station as well as dedicated taxi service, as long as you come in early morning hours for Illinois you shouldnt expect any long lines and TSA will always be friendly to you as long as youre friendly to them.

My son and I had gotten to Chicago ORD over 4 hours too early for our flight. We had walked around the airport a little and were trying to settle on where to hang out until our flight when we noticed another flight for our destination was boarding. I decided to ask if we could possibly go home on this flight thinking it would not happen as they were almost done with boarding process. The very kind ladies at the gate went out of their way to very quickly get all our info and board that earlier flight. During these pandemic days I’ve noticed that people are over all cranky and just not very patient or nice these days, so I was incredibly grateful that these two ladies were so nice and so helpful and just so wonderful in getting us that earlier flight that I had to post this review about them. Thank you to the two ladies working the United flight from ORD to IAH at Chicago O’Hare on Wednesday, a Julie Wenninger and the other kind lady who I didn’t get her name working UA2354 at 10:42 am yesterday July 28. Bruce and I got home hours earlier without having to spend a full day at the airport. We will fly United again.

If it was possible to give a negative star review I would give United Airlines a negative five star review. Me wife and I were traveling to Ireland from the US and had a layover in Newark, NJ and a very bad storm came through and our luggage was left outside in the rain and when we arrived in Ireland all of our clothes were either ruined from stains or soaked. United has done nothing to make this right!!! Well guess what United you’ll never obtain any business from me again.

Check in is fast. No power cord area. Limited seating. No board by desk to confirm where you are going. Only a tiny tv. Not a place you want to be for a long time.

Rude traffic directors! Yelling but not communicating what they want you to do and threatening you! Need a better way with posted rules for arrivals. Never been treated like this anywhere else at large busy airports. She wanted me, I gather, to pull into the yellow blocked off area past the end of terminal 1 but that is no zone! Need to repaint that then! Had I been a new visitor to Chicago, I would never come back and discourage others the same.

The seats were comfortable and the staff was friendly and efficient. There was a crew doing a detailed scrubbing and disinfection of all the trays and seats in preparation for the next flight as we were getting off the plane. The offered free wifi both ways and had DirecTV on our departing flight. It was a very comfortable experience.

It was crowded but everyone had a place to go.So where I was at it was ok. I seen everyone with their masks on,and we were pretty spaced out,the lines were moving quick,my only advice is to wear socks,I didnt and the floor was cold and idk if youd freak out with germs,I was but Im home and my feet are fine. GO early look around eat buy your souvenirs when you come home.Oh yeah!! I was coming home and had water half filled, conditioner,and tooth paste and yeah!! They took it at Myrtle beach air port...But besides that everything went smooth,

Even though I paid for the economy plus, I really felt like a cow in a cattle truck. Flight attendants are not welcoming or particularly nice and the extra legroom really doesnt distract from the tiny rock hard seats and the proximity to fellow passengers smashed against me. I hate flying.

The flight attendants will immediately walk up to you, sometimes even when you are properly seated, and demand you move from your seat to a further back spot on the plane. Happened 3 of my 4 flights to me, and others. And I could feel and see the frustration when those flight attendants demand people to move VERY rudely and assertively and proceed to go ask the pilots what to do only to be told Its fine if that customer sits there. Also being delayed on both of connecting flights regardless of time and location, the attendants showed little to no desire to care, it was all Ooooh thats such a close connection! Better run... how helpful could comments like this be? If not even more frustrating that they dont care about whatever it is they have made me sacrifice.If you dont want to read this, just let me tell you, I feel United Airlines employees like Brandy on flight 1155 do not care about you, will take your money and say goodbye, and goodluck.Feel terrible for the individuals who also sat next to me being barraged for sitting where they belong, being demanded to pay more for their position only to be told Oops, my fault youre fine!

If you are a little bit patient, they provide the best customer service.My parents lost their flight because they don’t speak English and weren’t able to communicate themselves with the agents; even after one hour later they (United) handled to help us and reschedule the flight with no extra fee.Thanks, we really appreciate they took care of us.

United Airlines current policy is to change flights,add layovers to preexisting and prepaid nonstop flights with no recourse to obtain a partial credit or refund. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with customers service. RUDE,discourteous and obviously outsourced call center ( THEY just reads from some script) without listening to the customer concerns and grievances. Twits and Nit Witts are answering the phones refusing to provide managers to speak to. Unequivocally,this will be my last flight with United. They have shoved down my throat a flight with a layover even though I paid for a non-stop flight, they have change my safer 4 hour route into a 7.5 hour route exposing me to 7.5 hrs of poor ventilation. This EXTRA TIME in the airport and airplane is exactly Why I paid extra for a nonstop flight ....If I could travel anyother way from Mexico I would. But nevertheless ADIOS United Airlines They have lost me as a customerAnd that to me makes Them losers. I dont think Im alone with the sentiment of customers being lost.

This airline is the worst. I was supposed to have wheelchair service on the way down and back up. I didnt get any wheelchair service on the way down to NC. On the way back home, we were stuck in Newark for 3 hours. Our flight from Chicago was canceled while we were in flight to Chicago. We were taken to customer service area and waited over an hour to be seen. When we were seen, the guy told us we just missed a flight home because we had to wait an hour in customer service. He then booked us on a flight at 5pm the next day. United didnt offer a hotel for the night even though I am disabled and will not have the medicine I need. The man we dealt with was rude and short with me. I will never travel with United and I recommend that nobody flies with this airline.

I normally use American Express lounges or Delta airline at the airports but they did not have one here in Chicago terminal 1 so I stopped in at the United airlines club terminal 1 by gate C6 and purchased the $59 one day pass about 12 PM to wait for my flight to Frankfurt Germany at 6:20 PM and I was extremely pleasantly surprised by their customer service and the quality of my 6 hours stay in the clubI asked one of the employees for a envelopes and a postage stamp after Searching all the stores in terminal 1 Just to buy a single stamp apparently they do not sell stamps at the airport anymoreThe front desk airline club employees made over 10 phone calls on my behalf trying to locate a stamp for me and thenOne of the employees from a different gate showed up at the club where I was staying with an envelope and a stamp and she refused to even take the price of the stampI think her name was CristinaI am extremely grateful for all of them for going above and beyond customer serviceAs far as the club it looks like newly remodeled plenty of tables and outlet to charge the food was fresh and excellent I will definitely consider being a United airlines customer (my local domestic airline currently is Delta)Again thank you to all the employees of United Airlines Chicago specially the one who help me with my silly stamp adventureM.Amer B10/24/2019

Not really happy with the people who changed our seats after making purchase. Was supposed to have nobody in front of us for more leg room. Instead we were seated in the middle of the plane with either take it or leave it. Flight crew was awesome and pilots went as high as 33k to avoid turbulence.

I was flying with UA under keylime air and not a single employee knew where it was. I was exactly where my ticket told me to be, but it ended up being at a different terminal and unlabeled. I arrived at the denver Air (apparently its for keylime air) desk with 20 minutes left and the desk operator wasnt there. I had to change my flight and fly out a day later.

They had the most awful service I have ever received. We missed our flight because their kiosk didn’t issue us our boarding passes. They had no one at the terminal to help us. We had to go to another terminal to see an agent. The agent proceeds to yell at us and says it was our fault that we didn’t get our boarding passes. We had to pay out of pocket for a night in a hotel. Save your money and fly Delta, never have problems with them. Delta apologizes when they make mistakes, they don’t call the customers idiots like United Airlines.

EXCESSIVE mask policies. In Illinois and in Texas BOTH there is no state mask mandate and as of 2 days ago the CDC has lifted the mask mandate so the OVERKILL, EXCESSIVE mask policies that Unit has adopted are something Id expect to see in a communistic state. Get over it people, every one has their vaccine and/or has had COVID at this point in our lives. Move on and provide better customer service.

This review is for the second half of my trip which was from ORD to AUA (Aruba). The gate people were professional. The stewardess was friendly and accommodating. The worst part of my flight was the bathroom, but lets account that its an airplane bathroom. The service received was exceptional in comparison to my flight from PHX. United @ OHara got it right!! Take note United @ SkyHarbor!

Personally I think United Airlines has lost focus on customer service. If I can I will fly any other airline. As an example. I was on delayed flight from San Juan through Huston to Chicago. Because of the delay i had to stay overnight in Huston. As a result my carry on of liquor from San Juan had to be checked. So an additional bag was checked in Huston. When arrived in Chicago the bag of liquor was missing. I had the luggage tag but the baggage check would not check records cause she insisted I had my bag. Finally after 20 mins she listened because I would not go away.

My gate-checked bag wasnt on the jet bridge when I deplaned like they said it would be. They said theyd bring it out to me, but othet passengers further back on the plane got theirs first so I went back on the jet bridge to retrieve mine and the employee gave me attitude. When I pay United rates I expect competency. Rest assured that incompetence will induce full Karen mode.

Received notice of a 90 minute delay a hour prior to boarding, not for any weather conditions,or a mechanical problem, or even a security problem, they needed a pilot. We waited a hour and a half in the airport for the pilot to show up.

United Airlines - Buyer beware!Went to Hawaii after much planning and anticipation to see family for first time in over a year. Between my husband and myself, it was a total of 8 first class flights ( a rare treat but medical issue necessitated it) to get there and get back.Lost 4 flights as flight to LAX delayed to point would not make flight to Hawaii ..... Had to zoom up to LA, find long term (very expensive) parking and shuttle to airport. Got to Hawaii.Flight back seat assignment was NOT first class (although there were 2 empty first class seats on flight).The real kicker was the absolute lack of United support from reservations and customer care.Ok..... how about the refund:took only 4/8 flights based on United flight changes; got 2/4 flights in first class. In my calculation they owe us a significant refund.Initial response was they owe us nothing!! After back an forth, we were emailed that we would get some money back.Considering used only 50% of paid flights and 25% of first class ( 2/8 flights)..... this just not add up - where is customer service United?Are you purposefully driving customers away?Would think long and hard before using United again.

Great job boarding and disembarking in a difficult time. Planes were clean, handing out the alcohol wipes helps us clean our areas. I am satisfied and would definitely fly again in the COVID period under a United banner.

No one around to give directions, and when they do they are either inaccurate, or wrong. I wasted money on Covid test due to inaccurate information from the ticket agent now Im stuck here 2 days. Seems unlikely such a gourmet dish is actually a meal on an airplane huh? That’s not it, the new #unitedairlines #unitedpolaris really outdid their competitors on this one. The biggest compliment I have as a frequently global traveler is it’s attention to details. Besides the usual business class amenities, e.g. the wines, dedicated flight attendants, flat beds, the little seemingly unnoticeable things #unitedairlines deserve real praises. I will point out a few and let the pictures do the rest. 1. Intuitive seat controls, so much easier compare to the clunky controls previous business class had 2. Supersized yet nimble tray table made it easy to eat, read, and work on with a laptop(s) 3. Storage rooms, too much that you will have comfortable space for your pet squirrel 4. Ladies, a mirror next to your seat before you dash off for your most important business without waiting for the crammed and crowded bathroom 5. Privacy. Every business seat was designed to provide privacy without another passenger needs to step over you. There are a few more, but I will let you discover them yourselves. I will continue to leave objective reviews for airlines to help with fellow travelers. One minor mishap, the light button didn’t work, but fortunately the other light button on the controller worked.
