It was so GREAT experience that they lost my and other 15 peoples baggage, and I am one of the HAPPY guys surprised with the event.I believe things happen and those people including me must understand the situation, even though the staff rudely said just write down missing baggage report and Air Canada will deliver it to their home within 24 hours. Fortunately, it was never TRUE, which is the second surprise event. WOWThere is a GREAT website of Air Canada where you can see your baggage status, once you have incident report number. I came to know that it is needed to search my baggage status, after a couple of days later. Surprise! Fortunately, nobody at the time heard about the number. I support the staff that never told us any information including the number, because nobody wants to check with the baggage status. Cuz we believe Air Canada. XDI am sure that all the passengers except for these people had a GREAT experience. Thanks.

Trying to like the airline but the customer service is horrible, definitely understaff, keeping their staff stressful and grumpy. Dont get me wrong, not all are bad and there are cool staff too.Met one Air Canada lady couple days ago at gate, blaming me for not making the flight when it wasnt my fault. United had a delay and the Air Canada flight was gone. Then she reroute my booking but didnt transfer my bags (I knew a few days later). When I got to New York and didnt find my bags, I talked to both AA (my flight to NY) and United and they didnt know where the bags went (Air Canada actually had them but how would I know?).My next flight would be to Hong Kong, which requires a 14-day quarantine. I didnt think it was a good idea to go straight into a 14-day quarantine without no change of clothes. So I stayed near the airport and waited for the airline to send over my bags.For the next 4 days, I kept calling United and Air Canada but nothing show up. United said Air Canada had the bags, Air Canada said United had them. Every call is like a 1-1.5 hrs wait for United and a 2-4 hrs wait for Air Canada. Very little was getting done but still United was better. At least one of the agents understood the baggage procedure and the baggages must had been transferred to Air Canada.With Air Canadas call center being almost non-existent, I decided to pay out of pocket to fly from New York to Chicago. Some chill United and Air Canada staff helped out and I got my stuff back in an hour and a half 👏🏻Then I met one Eduardo at check-in when I tried to rebook. Kept blaming me for staying at New York for my bags. He said he could do a 14-day quarantine without anything. Whether he can or cannot wasnt the point at all, he could have said I knew it was difficult for you, if you could do so and so next time, it would be better for you. He was just not being professional. He didnt even try to understand how complicated and confusing the situation was for the customer.The worst part was that guy didnt even care if I was going to report him, saying, remember to spell my name right. I guess this is because Air Canada is so understaff that there is no one to take care of the reports! So I just report him on Google Reviews.I wouldnt say these impolite Air Canada staff are bad people, just they were overworked and undertrained. Air Canadas flights in general are still nice and comfy but customer services are almost non-existent at this point (cant even call their general customer services). Sure you will enjoy the flights as long as nothing goes wrong with your plan. But when it goes wrong, it can go very wrong.

The travel on Air Canada is pretty great. The trip that we took was from o hare airport to toronto Pearson to cph. The planes that we were on had televisions up all the time. That really made for a wonderful and exquisite experience.

Wonderful service with bilingual and friendly flight attendants who spoke English and Quebecois for my flight to Montreal. The ticketing attendant did me an amazing favor by getting me on an earlier flight to get home for an emergency with no charge which was an amazing relief. Canadians have a reputation for being overly nice folks, and Air Canada employs the nicest of the nice!

First time on Air Canada and we love it. Staff was very friendly, great spacious seating. Excellent food and wine selection. Many movies, tv programs or music to choose from if you want to “kill time”. What more to ask for? We took Air Canada Express flight from Chicago to Vancouver and back. Both ways excellent service. Definitely will fly Air Canada again. Thank you for your service.

I only booked with Air Canada because I had to. When I got to the airport, I asked the desk attendant if it were possible to move my sister and Is seats so that we were together. She didnt even look at our boarding passes or ask the flight number and told us that the flight was full. When we asked her several other questions, she replied with the same short response, clearly not wanting to speak with us for whatever reason. Once we boarded the full flight, we looked around to see that it was only about half full. I reported her immediately and they responded quickly but are unable to tell me how the proceedings go. I moved on. But on the way home, my flight was cancelled the morning of the flight (about five hours before departure). I was trapped in Dublin for an extra 24 hours because of this. We received no explanation as to why it was cancelled and were given a similar flight the next day. They did however make our layover longer than it was originally planned. We tried to get on earlier flights but it was no use. Luckily, the EU makes the airline pay for our extra night in the hotel (but Ill get back to you on if they actually reimburse or not). When we were on the phone, there was no mention of our rights to meal vouchers or an interesting 600 euro refund if our flight cancellation meets certain criteria (which I believe it does). I am currently on hold to try to get that sorted out but their lines are ALWAYS experiencing a higher number of callers so the wait to speak to someone is an hour long affair. I hope that they allow for an online support system soon so their customers can get help in a timely fashion.

On a direct flight from Vancouver to Chicago Air Canada managed to lose not just all of my family’s 5 bags, but, get this, everyone’s bags on the flight. I just don’t understand how you could possibly lose an entire plane load of luggage. And 3 days later we still haven’t heard from anyone at Air Canada about how they are going to resolve the issue. I am just completely baffled - it’s by far the worst customer experience of my life.

Terrible customer service all around. Change and cancel flights as they want. Force me to put my carry on in the cargo despite spaces in overhead compartments. Chaotic check in. Tiny printed signs on the gate. Very unprofessional.

One of my flights was canceled in July. Your airline did not pay for my hotel for the 26 hour layover. I had to pay for my own hotel with the promise your airline would pay me back. I have filled out all the reimbursement emails and paper work. I have submitted these claims 3 times and now 9 months later I still have not received my money back. I am extremely disappointed with your airline. This is unstatifactory. Air Canada is by far the worst airline and has the worst customer service

I had a wonderful experience. Christina at the checkin station in ORD was so helpful and sweet. She made sure to not only sit me and my friend together but also switched us to the earlier flight because Chicago was going to get thunderstorms in the afternoon, and she believed our afternoon flight could be canceled/ delayed. Meaning we would have missed our trip to Venice since we were connecting in Toronto. She literally saved us. Thank you! I will be recommending air canada to everyone and hope to continue to have amazing customer service like I experienced today.

The rating and comment here are for our experience at the ticketing counter at ORD terminal 2.I dropped my wife and kids here and accompanied them checking their luggage. The lady who served us was very rude. She asked us some questions that we didnt quite understand. And when we tried to figure it out, she impatiently said never mind! After the check-in process was done my wife asked her a question, and again she asked the next waiting customer to come forward without showing any interest in understanding what we inquired.In the whole process, we were treated in a very unprofessional way. My daughter even said to me, Dad, this is the rudest staff Ive ever seen! I totally agreed.

It used to be my favorite airline. Today they changed my seat on 13 hour flight from Seoul Korea to Toronto Canada giving me the middle seat instead of the window seat that I have on my booking confirmation also separating me and my husband. Not sure if I want to book with them again.

Terrible airline. We booked our flights months ahead of time and as it turns out air canada overbooked the flight and we got kicked off and put on standby for other flights later in the day causing us to miss the event that we were going to. On top of that, the return flight got delayed as well. The staff are rude and unhelpful, they just do not care about their customers

Please use WestJet instead, we were diverted from landing in Nova Scotia because there was a storm - it was barely raining and wind - all WestJet planes landed no problem. We were literallly dropped off in the middle of nowhere New Brunswick asked to deboard plane without our luggage for security reasons. we had to pay significant additional money renting a car from 4.5 hours away in Moncton NB, never reimbursed by Air Canada, our luggage was delivered to our hotel 2 days later - we had NO CLOTHES on us :( we had to buy everything new. People were crying at the airport because the were traveling with children - it was such a mess and after listening to so many peoples similar stories from Air Canada I will not ever fly this airline again even if it were free. I learned WestJet hires a lot of ex-military and they rarely encounter any issues. Lesson learned and passing on what I learned.

Absolutely terrible customer service. My Fiancé and I arrive a little over two hours early for our flight. The line up to check in wrapped around the the perimeter of the designated air canada space (approximately 100 people) in line. There we’re minimal staff. No signage so when some one didn’t know where to go they just guessed and got in a line. Then a very cold staff member kicked about 25 people out of the line and said there are supposed to be two lines for different destinations, start over. No one cared what time their flight left. We then missed our flight (so did approximately 25 other people from our flight and another 15 from another) because of this disorganization. When we went to customer service to get a new flight the lady was rude; stating that we should be three hours early. The emails clearly state to be 2 hours early. We finally got on a new flight. We get on, I say to the stuwardist “our bags made it off the original flight and onto this one?” She was snippy when she responded with “well we wouldn’t get you on the plane if your bags weren’t”. Our baggage was not on the plane. They gave us $150 to purchase to guy the necessities; that was helpful and we were thankful for that. So on our flight home, we were 3 hours early. We had to wake up at 2 am to get there on time and no air canada staff were any where to be found until 1 hour and 45 minute prior to our international flight. They blamed the customer over and over again.

Not only air canada lost my luggage, but also nobody can be found either in their luggage service room or on their departure level counter. I was surprised by the absence of their service and support for their customers.BTW,I was there from 8:05 pm and left until 8:57pm. It wasnt late at all.

They made me loss 1200 euros. I came on time at the airport and they refused to give my tickets due to a visa problem. You have been warn : they are rude beyond belief and they won’t help you at all.

Worst airline ever.My flight was cancelled (this can happens and I can usually understand this) but every service employee magically disappeared afterwards. I waited in line for 1 hour until the last employee left. No rebooking, no information, nothing. Inacceptable! Ended up taking a grayhound. Still no refund.

Total contempt for passengers. Charge excess baggage without any justification in a pre-paid transatlantic flight. Like Leo Cost. An old and unclean concatenation plane. The plane crew is friendly but it does not improve any tasty meals. First and last experience with this company.
