I went here yesterday (july 26, 2021) with my two younger cousins and the man who did my nails was very rough and didnt do my nails right. i was charged $40 for a full set with regular polish. i asked for plain white coffin shaped nails.he didnt push back any of my cuticles on either hand before doing my nails. instead of asking me to move forward when he needed better access of my hand he’d pull on me, when filling my nails he would twist my fingers to to try to get to a certain spot he needed to file but while doing that he was hurting me and when i showed clear discomfort on my face he simply did not care. the top coat that he put on my nails made them pink and bubbly. when i straighten out my hand you can see that almost all of the nails except the thumb are angled upward. most of the nails on each hand are very very crooked. and there was a hair on one of my nails. i really recommend you dont go here for acrylic nails.

I started coming Linda & long about 3 months ago and haven’t been anywhere else since. Very professional and very in tune with the services they provide. I am ALWAYS satisfied with the end results of my nails and feet… I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nail home!

They are very nice ppl. Linda and her husband Long have done my nails, and I have to say they are excellent at what they do, very talented. They were very professionals and courteous. The shop was clean, and neat. Did I mention how good they are at doing nails? Every time I get my nails done there I get so many compliments on how great they look. I have been getting my nails done for a long time but never this good. I almost forgot how funny they are lol. I really enjoy my time in your shop. I was looking for a new nail tech. So I searched online and decided to give Modern Nails a try. When I entered I was quickly greeted by Long and had to do a temperature check and sign a waiver. Long did an excellent job fixing my shape of my nails and definitely giving my nails an upgrade. He was very friendly and made sure to hook my nails up. The price was affordable. I will definitely come back😊

Hi my name Breana and today was my first time coming to them beautiful work they do and I’m 18 and they knew exactly what kind of styles I wanted and need if u want your nails hooked up there definitely the place.

My grandmother and I went here today (4/2/21) and the guy who did my nails was very rude and got upset with me because I didn’t know what color powder the lady used on me 2 weeks ago. His daughter or whoever that young lady was, had the nastiest attitude known to man. The whole atmosphere was bad and was unwelcoming. I do not recommend.

They are so nice and funny, my nails are absolutely beautiful. It was so relaxing and even though the nails I wanted caused my pedicure to last past closing, they were extremely nice and helpful and made sure I left happy and relaxed. I HIGHLY recommend them and best believe I’m going back !!!!

I went in for a fill in and l asked the price the lady was working on my hands. A second lady answered $35. I was surprised and repeated questionly for a fill in?. She hollered at my $35 for fill in and gel coat with such distaste and aggravation aggravation aggravation aggravation aggravation aggravation in her tone. I had just spent over $175 with them 2 weeks ago to get the nails on. I will not spend my money at an establishment that is so rude and shows me no respect. I will not be back!

Let me tell u we (my husband daughters and i) walked in and there was no wait time. they ask what services we were getting they told us have a seat in the chairs. Everyone was nice Mr. Long did a really great job on my nails I am in love with them. He even thanked us for coming before we even finished our service and welcomed us to the area... what really made me say o yes I will be back was when he said o no let me go over your nails one more time because he didn’t like the way it looked after the second coat of polish. He walked me thru everything he was doing...I will definitely be going back with my family again.

I went to a nail place in Norfolk about 3 and a half weeks ago so I needed a fill in and pedicure by my house so I came to Modern Nails recommended by my boyfriend. Mr Long took care of me and made my nails look gorgeous, he shaped them perfectly how I wanted them and all. He even explained everything to me instead of just having me pay extra to have them redone because of how the previous salon did them. (Ombré powdered instead of painted) They looked a lot better than before and I am very satisfied. The woman who did my toes was very good as well. Everyone working there was super friendly and I enjoyed my experience there. I will be back in 2 weeks!!

Went in for an acrylic set with a picture for reference as I needed them done for my wedding. They weren’t able to match the color close enough and I walked out with two different nails styles on either hand- my left look like a tapered square (like I had asked for) and my right hand nails were bulky and had almost a flared square look to it. Either way I soaked them off the minute I got home and I’ll be wearing glue on nails for my big day. I’m a stickler for details especially for a day like this and if your even the slightest of a perfectionist I’d suggest you go somewhere else

I get the BEST sets from here. They do great quality work. My sets lasts longer than 2 weeks and they NEVER FALL OFF. Long does amazing every time!! Everyone there is so nice and funny. The ONLY spot I go to.

Love this nail salon. Very close to my house and easy to find. Spent days looking for a new salon to get my acrylics done and I have found my new favorite spot. Family owned and run. Cute little nail salon hidden in the heart of deep creek. Ive had my nails done by both the wife and husband now and theyve both done a stellar job. Always had problems with lifting but not with them. Price are good, people are friendly, and the nails are fabulously fierce. Will continue to come here for years to come and will recommend to all my family and friends.

Long and Linda are the best. Acrylic nails and construction usually arent a good match, but my nails always hold up beautifully under the worst conditions and I wont go to anyone else.

I passed this nail shop up for months when I 1st moved here. And it was literally up the street from my job. Visited bout 11 other nail shops and didnt like how they did my nails or pedicure. Finally decided to go here and they do my nails to my perfection with no problems. Great job.

I have been to two different nail salons before I went to Modern Nails and I promise you, I will never go to anyone else but Modern. From the moment I walked in, it was clean and peaceful. The staff was super friendly and I didn’t wait forever just to get a fill. I sat down with Long and he was phenomenal. So friendly and very funny, super nice and knew exactly what I wanted and gave that to me. He could tell I wanted a coffin shaped nail and that the last technician I went to BUTCHERED my nails and he fixed them. He made my nails look absolutely beautiful and I was so comfortable the entire time. No one pressured me for other services and the prices were very fair. I hands are so soft and he didn’t rip my cuticles like the last person did. I absolutely love Modern Nails and this will be my one and only salon I will go to for nails here in VA. Im guessing they are rated high for acrylic finger nails or something but when it comes to pedicures...it was not good. Spent $45 on the deluxe pedicure. My toe paint is already chipping after 2 days and honestly it didnt seem very sanitized there. My feet are rough in patches which is not normal and the lady seemed more interested in watching tv than providing good service

The pedicure was good. The nail technians were friendly and welcoming. I had a lady named Linda to take care of my feet, and she was very good. The man who worked on my hands was named long, and he was beyond amazing. I love the owners they are very entertaining, and the atmosphere was friendly. Total overall expierence was quite nice. Very difficult to find good quality service and nail products that are high quality.

This nail salon is the BEST nail salon I have ever been to. The end result was so beautiful! The gentleman who did my nails did an excellent job and for a reasonable price. Long and Linda at Modern Nails were doing my nails for at least 10 years when my husband unexpectedly passed away. I was in shock and did not get my nails done for a couple of years. When I finally felt like myself again, Long and Linda had moved their shop to a different location several miles from my house. I tried several shops close to my house, and could not find one that did the quality nails Long and Linda did. So, I went back to Long and Linda at their new location several miles from my house to get my nails done. It is so worth the drive!!! Not only do they do quality work, they become friends with all their customers! They truly are the BEST!!
