My husband and I were in town for a wedding(from Michigan) and needed to get mani&pedis. The entire staff was amazing and accommodating. We were in and out in time for the wedding and our nails look great. The pedicures were amazing! Thanks TN, Tommy and stuff

Great people, but okay nails. I also noticed for manicures dirty nail files were used and brushes and other equipment was not fully sanitized. Lastly, nail art is not that great here. Like I said they are okay at nails here, but really nothing special. I got a full set and the nails were flat with no apex, and they dont have colored acrylic, they use gel nail polish on top of clear acrylic instead. They do take walk INS and same day appointments though which is a positive.

Such a great nail place in Charlottesville! I booked with Vivianne and she did exactly what I asked for. The acrylic was done very precisely and lasted well over 2 weeks.

I went here for lash extensions and they did an amazing job! Vivian did my lashes and she was excellent. She was super friendly and patient throughout the process. This will be my new salon!

I went there last Monday and My tech was so friendly. She did my mani and pedi well and also other staffs were nice and friendly too. It was very clean inside and everything was satisfied.

They are an absolute gem - they are is so meticulous and goes above and beyond to make sure my nails have turned out perfect every time. This is such a wonderful salon with high quality products and wonderful staff.

I have been searching for a good nail tech ever since mine left my old salon. I came in on Memorial Day and I can’t say enough good things about the atmosphere there! TN was hilarious and we talked throughout my entire time there. Not to mention my nails look better than I think they ever have. He took his time and his attention to detail was amazing. I will absolutely be back!

The guy who prepares the nails for the manicurist destroyed my natural nails. Instead of waiting patiently for the acetone to do its job in removing my previous shellac, this gentleman took the electric sander to my natural nails and sanded down past my shellac, onto my natural nail until I was in horrible pain. Although the manicurist did an amazing job and had such an eye for detail, nothing will be able to make up for the fact that my beautiful natural nails that I have been growing out for months have all completely broken off only a week later. I have put so much time and effort into keeping my nails long and healthy, from buying expensive supplements and keeping up with a biweekly manicure, but now my nails are completely ruined. Won’t be going back.

TN is a nail wizard! I have been going to him for over 2 years and he does really incredible work. He listens, takes his time and always gives his very best.

My tech doesnt shy away from designs or make me feel rushed. Also, my nails are much healthier and stronger than the handful of times I tried going to salons in the past.

Definitely do not recommend for lash extensions!!! Pulled my real ones out. Burned my eyes while getting them put in and removed. Very friendly but laughed in my face when I told her my real leashes were falling out hours after getting the fake ones removed.

Service was fantastic. I didnt have an appt and was fortunate, I would recommend making one. Jimmy did a full set and pedicure and so pleased with results!! The areas are always clean which is huge for me. He listened to what I wanted and was perfect! Prices are very reasonable and will definitely be going back.

I get my brows waxed there and the lady who does them is really good. Although I did have an appointment the other day and they made me wait so I left. I dont make appointments to just wait there. I was in a rush too! Good service but theyre not very timely.

TN is awesome! He’s such a professional! Not only does his work look amazing, he goes above & beyond what I would expect. He makes great suggestions about nail repair. Very knowledgeable. He stayed open late to welcome customers in Mia’s absence. She’s lucky to have him overseeing her business while she’s in Vietnam. Great place, everyone is friendly!

I called and made an appointment for the same day and they were able to take me. I got a pedicure and it was amazing! Very good quality and great attention to detail. I also got dipped nails with TN. Hands down the best dipped nails Ive ever gotten! He cares so much about his work being perfect and it showed. Definitely will be back to continue getting my dipped nails done here!

Was there for the first time today and was not pleased with the service. The technician nicked two of my fingers and only apologized once. He was not very gentle and the manicure looked horrible. Polish was left around my nails, the nails were shaped unevenly, and the dried powder product was left under my nails.

I love this salon! My nails looked amazing after they were done. I got acrylics done by a stylist named Candy, she was very nice and welcoming. She seemed very excited and interested in her job, which is always a good sign. It is a very welcoming and homey environment, which makes me most comfortable. There is an adorable dog in the store that brought my experience to the next notch.

Went here with my girlfriend and got my first pedicure and manicure. Overall is was a good experience. The massaging chair was very nice and the foot and leg massage was great also. We had the hot wax treatment which was different but good. The worker cut my fingernails too short but they will grow back quickly so no worries. It was a nice way to get pampered and ready for our New Years Eve party that we had the next day.

I love the pedicures here with the older woman nail tech. I got a full set done with the powder and the tech was a young woman that I had at seen there before and She did not do a great job. I asked the owner if she could fix them for me and she was more than happy to. Didn’t make me feel bad about asking either!

Some were very nice but me and my mom got our nails done with acrylics and they were lopsided and cracked the weren’t gentle But some are very nice but the nail part was awful... I loved the dog that was there but it’s not very professional to have a dog running around in there! Then the next time we tried it there was a kid running around screaming and asking you questions! Never go there the only reason we went in there was to try something new... the dog was the only good part about it

I love this place. The staff is very friendly. I took some of the extended family here to try it and they did an excellent job with the kids. I thought it was very nice how they didnt just blow the kids off since they were young and not charged as much. They put a real nice design on my seven year old nieces big toe that she loved.

Very clean. Very friendly. I got my acrylics removed which they did properly by soaking instead of drilling or popping them off which ive seen lots of others do. My nails feel healthy and beautiful. Polish choices were great . I will def be back

I am from Berlin, Germany and just wanted to visit a very good friend in Charlottesville. She took me to VA nails and I was thrilled after receiving a spa facial treatment from the boss personally. I can only recommend this salon.

I visit twice a month and sometimes get the impression I’m a bother. I really like some of the people, but they can over extend themselves; especially now that two of their techs are on vacation for over six weeks. Also because they are on vacation I can’t book an appointment because no one does acrylic fill ins and if they do they won’t let me make an appointment. Sad. Guess I’m going to have to find someone else who wants a reoccurring client.

Super friendly staff, great service, and an incredibly relaxing atmosphere! Ive gotten my eyebrows waxed and the signature mani/pedi here, and Ive been more than happy with both. You absolutely get what you pay for. All I can say is that I cant wait for my next visit.

So far I adore this place. The staff is very sweet, especially the manager daughter! I go to Amy/Annie(I couldnt quite catch which one it was) and she does a great job. She does acrylics as thin as you need them, which is super thin for me. They looked so natural. They also speak English very clearly and are friendly. Always a plus! I love coming here, and its so convenient for food and shopping.

This place never disappoints for both gel manicures and pedicures. All of the ladies that have done my nails have taken their time to deliver great service and awesome quality mani/pedis. Make sure to make an appointment if you dont want to wait a looong time for your service. I love this place.

Wow. VA Nails is amazing. I havent gotten my eyebrows done in over a year and back then I would have them threaded. I am BEYOND satisfied with the way they shape my eyebrows, very gentle and it looks incredible. Completely changed how my face is defined and I couldnt be happier. Definitely will be back in a month!

Went there tonight and it was 10 min to closing and the lady still went above and beyond and didnt rush threw the pedicure. She was so nice and I have never had a better pedicure. She asked if my toes were fine and I said yes later on she went ahead and put another coat on cause she wanted the color to pop. Best place ever I will always go here!!!

I went there my go to salon was full. She did my nails with this acrylic powder. I have never had that done before. It was horrible. Before I left my nails look awesome but when I got outside and they fully dried I have bubbles everywhere. I went straight back there and was told she was doing a massage I had to wait or come back. I called and went in and showed her she informed me she could not do anything about it at the time. I could come back the next day and let someone else do them. Horrible experience I will never go back

Worse place Ive EVER been too. Got gel nails and she barely had any top coat left so she only did one coating and didnt even bother coating the bottom of my nail. I usually go somewhere else but they were full. Never will i make that mistake again. I DISLIKE the way she did acrylic. Would not recommend. She didnt even make sure my nails were even in size or file them right. They were SO sharp on the ends I keep catching my nails on my clothes. Nails are already not shiny after 4 days. And part of the acrylic on one is coming off. Waste of money

The quality of the service depends on which technician is working. Unfortunately, the technician I usually get was sleeping in one of the pedicure chairs. Full out snoring. It took him a couple minutes to wake up and realize a client had walked in. Afterwards he called for someone in the back to work on my nails, and then went back to sleep. The technician was very rough and got glue all over my hands. Not to mention he used a nail file on my skin to get off the paint he haphazardly applied. I would recommend coming on a weekend, or a busier time. They seem to be groggy at 5:30 on weekdays.

Such sweet women. Got a quality manicure, french tips. Always call ahead to make sure its not busy, and theyll seat you the second you walk in.

I came for a pedicure. 5 different people did round robin around my feet. The first woman dropped to eat her meal from Bojangles. The second woman sat down and began removing polish from my toenails. Someone came through the door, and she hopped up. The first woman sat down and started in, but then another member of the staff said something and she hopped up. There were two more until the final person learned over my feet with a phone to her ear as she applied polish. Mmmm. I don’t think this was for me.

I received a gift card here & just got a basic manicure. It was the worse manicure Ive ever had. When it was all said & done my nails were all different lengths & I picked a light pink polish & they didnt even apply enough coats to cover my nails.

Ok. Where do I begin.The nail artist was rude and scince i am only ten and small for my age adn I wanted french tips they were even ruder. they wanted me to do some other style because they were too lazy to make it good. I did not listen to them and they started doing it. a few hours pass and i am sitting on my computer watching youtube and my polish fell off. also the were very messy and were not gentle with my hands.thx

By far my favorite nail place in charlottesville. Definitly on the expensive side, for a full set one color gel i usually pay anywhere between $40-60. But do get my moneys worth my nails will last 2-3 weeks without needing a fill in. Mia is definitly one of my favorites shes very sweet and funny and i highly recomend her!

Use them regularly. Never had a bad experience. Even when they are busy, they have accommodated me. They are polite and do a good job.They do have a funny process with the leg massages where they lay towels on your legs and tap them with their hands so it makes a funny smacking sound. Makes me chuckle because it doesnt really serve a purpose, other than making a funny noise.Update: the original owners sold. It’s now too bright and frantic feeling. Not my kind of place any longer.

VERY NASTY IMPATIENT EMPLOYEES. I BROUGHT MY DAUGHTER HERE FOR HER 3RD BIRTHDAY AND THE EMPLOYEE WAS JUST IMPATIENT AND NASTY! HORRIBLE PAINT JOB ON MY NAILS AS WELL. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! I COULDN’T EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN THE STORY BUT LONG STORY SHORT MY DAUGHTER ENDED UP WITHOUT HER NAILS PAINTED AND THE COPS WERE CALLED.

I unfortunately cannot say the same of some of the other employees - specifically the female technician who works at the second station back when you first walk in. I wish that I knew her name so that you could ensure that you stay FAR AWAY FROM HER. Her work is poor and she was unbelievably unprofessional and rude on my last visit. She took 2 hours to do a half-assed basic manicure on me. When one of my nails got smudged, she went to repair it. However, I noticed that she had grabbed the wrong polish. I told her that it was not the right one and grabbed the one that I had picked. She tells me that I dont know what I am talking about and she knows what she is doing. She puts the wrong color polish on, and I show her how it does NOT match the same color as the other 9 nails. She proceeds to start yelling at me in her native language and throws away the correct polish. Of course, she does all of this AFTER I had already paid and tipped her. Needless to say, I will not be returning, even though I do like Ryans work.

OMG! Last week I got my nails done, and it was HORRIBLE. There is paint everywhere and my nails are different shapes now! I got gel, and I just took them off because they were chipping, AND MY NAILS ARE DISCUSSING!!! What ever you do don’t go here, the nail techs were mean and they aren’t good at there job, go anywhere else! This place is supper dirty and gross

I can see why the nail place down the street is full and they are empty! The owner was the worst of all. Claimed she could do almond shape and dip powder ombre French. I have long natural nails that I dip, so mind you they were already shaped. She couldnt shape almond if her life depended on it. She ended up cutting them short and still couldnt shape a basic natural nail shape. She filed the dip off, never soaked any. I am so upset that my beautiful nails that I get numerous compliments on daily are gone.

It was one of the best spa pedicure that I have every had. My friend and I enjoyed it very much.

Worst experience of my life. A lady told me that she is a friend of owner and she is helping owner, but does not have any experience of manicure spent 15 mins on my cuticles push and hurt me so bad that I couldnt bear the pain and I had to leave before the full service. I would not recommend this place to anyone and probably the most awful salon in cville.

The nail artist candy, WORST NAIL ARTIST EVER!!!! My nails looked horrible and she had terrible attitude. I would never go back there again. The nails broke the day I got them, and my friends were so awful. Candy cut me multiple times and used super glue to glue my skin back. She has no respect and was very unprofessional.

Ive been getting my nails done there for the past 4 weeks and Candy is the best.

A horrible experience.....they do not sanitize their tools, be very careful.. in my last visit I went for a pedicure, I didnt see the man taking any sanitize tool, I asked him about it and he shake his head affirmative but I notice two days after the pedi fungus around my toe, I went back to speak with the mananger but she was on vacation and nobody could help me about it. I have to go to the farmacy and take care the problem myself...worst place to go...

Ive got powder mani and pedi for years by the same girl until she moved to other state. I felt hard to find a place at the same quality but I fought it here- VA Nails. I was impressed immediately when coming in that there was no smell of chemicals like some other places. I got Mia do my powder mani. Unlike usual routine I have experienced before but the result was awesome. Definitely smell great. She told me that the kind of powder was good for my real nails. I paid only $15 for fill.
