Absolutely love Serenity and all of the staff here. Very COVID-conscious. They are very professional, meticulous, and take excellent care of my Grammy at her monthly appointments as well.

Okay so today was my first time going to this nail place. I wanted something simple. All white nails. Just to fill.I called the day before and made an appointment they were able to get me in which was awesome. Unfortunately after waiting 15 minutes past my appointment time my nails felt very rushed. I left the salon with nail polish all over my fingertips and nail beds. Plus the sign said $28 for a fill which is what I was getting. And I went up front to pay she took the card out of my hand and ran it and then handed me the receipt where I had already been charged $38. Unfortunately Im not sure if Ill be back its so hard to find a good nail place

I moved to the area a few months ago and received a personal recommendation for Helen at this salon. At my first appointment, after waiting 25 minutes past my appointment time, I had to leave. The salon didnt apologize -- they simply rebooked me. If you work FT like me, this is a problem. But I am new to the area and thought it best to offer a second chance. At my second appointment, things went alright. The service started only 10 minutes past my appointment time, and although two nails needed to be redone, we got there in the end. My third appointment was just... bad. She cut my skin twice to the point that it bled, and she painted polish all over my cuticles and my skin (telling me to just wash my hands a lot, that it would come off). Dont waste your money.

They have done a great job making the nail salon Covid ready. Before the pandemic, the salon was clean and decorated in a calming matter. Since the pandemic they have added screens and additional cleaning procedures. They still offer a variety of services, Im very happy with their gel and dip manicures as well as their pedicures.

I love Serenity Nails. Its my favorite place is cville and Ive tried a few other places. I get a gel manicure and it consistently lasts at least 4 weeks without chipping. I love the mood color changing gel polish by CnC.

I went in for the first time today to get my gel manicure filled and absolutely loved it! The lady that worked with me did an excellent job! She was polite and very gentle with my nails. They exceeded my expectations and didnt cake and layer on the polish like other places have done. She did not rush it at all and made sure I was happy with my nails during each step. I am definitely coming back!

I love this place and have been going there for a long time.

My sister and I came to Serenity Nails & Spa a week ago today, to get manicures and pedicures before my wedding day. We were both extremely surprised and comfortable with how Serenity has pivoted during this global pandemic to make customers and staff alike feel safe. They had plexiglass between the employees and customers, all employees were wearing masks, and there were protections between each of the pedicure and manicure chairs. Plus, they did a fantastic job on our nails! One week later, my manicure and pedicure still look brand new. Thanks again!

Received a mani - pedi, no polish! I was charged $45. Menu says $40 for both! Watch how they charge you!

They did a really good job at first. I really liked how they turned out and it was pretty cheap. However they started chipping the next day and now three days later they look bad 😭

I had a gel polish change and was not impressed. The manicure was very rushed. The tech did not ask how short to cut my nails until she had already cut one. The tech was very rough and used a very high grit file for the entire manicure.She pretty much poured oil all over my cuticles at the end without massaging it in and then asked me to wash it off. Normally a manicure would include a hand massage even if just a minute. After my manicure I noticed that edges were rough, uneven, and the sides had not been rounded, as well as many bare spaces and noticeable thick areas.Im still confounded how the entire process cost $23 when a polish change is supposed to be $7? I will stick to my normal salon that only charges $15 for everything and does a fantastic job!

Serenity has done an excellent job adhering to the CDC’s recommendations for prevention. They have plexiglass shields between each customer and technician for both manicure and pedicure treatments. Additionally, they have plastic shower curtain barriers between chairs at the pedicure station. This is (and has always been) the only place I trust to get my nails done!

Wonderful place! I went in for a pedicure while recovering from a knee surgery with a wrap still on, and limited range of motion. The person doing my nails was so gentle with my leg and mindful of not causing me pain during all times of the pedicure. Loved my experience and will definitely be back!

Best nail place in Cville! Never had a bad manicure or pedicure. The staff are very pleasant & accommodating. Cash tip appreciated. They take walk-ins but suggest an appointment, if you don’t want to wait. There is a wonderful thrift store “Twice as Nice” right next door, if waiting.

I got an acrylic fill in and a deluxe pedicure, and the pedicure color was not as I picked, the polish is already messed up and its been less than 6 hours since I got them done. My nails have some issues on the sides that werent there before I went in. Not worth the money b The service is there are very overpriced bv

I’ve been to Serenity Nails multiple times and have always been impressed. Today I was even more happy leaving the salon than normal. Katie took EXCELLENT care of me and even though I said I needed to leave early, she managed to make my nails absolutely perfect within the limited time frame. I recommend this salon to anybody.

Loved it, the staff is very attentive and does wonderful cuticle care. I came in with a bad acrylic job from another nail salon out of the area. They managed to take them off without hurting me and then did a fantastic job restoring my nails and doing an amazing dip powder french ombre design! (You can check the photos, my hands are on the wooden table). Highly recommend. My mom came with me and loved her pedicure also.No bubbles at all on her gel polish which we always had a problem with other salons. Definitely worth the money. They take their time which I love too, most salons rush to get more production, yet here they made sure to do the job right. Cannot say enough good things. Ive been salon hoping for a few months now and am finally satisfied.

Never get helped in a timely manner here. For birthday splurge made appts for myself and 2 friends to have pedicure. We show up on time, place is packed. So we have a seat with others who we’re waiting. 45 minutes later, STILL waiting, first one gets taken back. A few minutes later the next one. Then 15 minutes layer they come get me. There is no rhyme or reason to making an appointment after reading others experiences. Make sure you have a couple of hours to blow on hanging out here waiting your ‘turn’ whatever that may be...it has little to do with an ‘appointment’

I came to Nick twice recently for a wedding nails trial and then for my actual wedding, when I brought my mom and aunts too. Nick did a fantastic job-both times one of the best French manicures Ive ever gotten. The environment was relaxing and we couldnt have asked for a better spot. Highly recommend Serenity, whether for bridal parties or not!

Made an appointment yesterday to get a pedicure today. Showed up a few minutes early and was pleasantly greeted, told to pick out nail polish and take a seat. At 2:40 another person came in stating that they had a 2:30 appointment. At 2:45, she and another person were taken back for pedicures. After reminding the lady who greeted me that I also had a 2:30 appointment, I was told apathetically it would be another 7-10 minutes, with no other explanation. There doesn’t seem to be any formal tracking system other than what’s in the manager’s head. If there is a system, it doesn’t seem to work and it’s obvious they overbook. Frustrating when this situation could be so easily avoided or in the very least, explained.

I went here because it’s close to my job. The first time I went I had a bad experience, the lady filed my nails super low even though I asked her not to and she cut me so everything she put on the cut burned. She acted like she didn’t care. I decided to give them a second chance and saw someone else. Big mistake. This guy was so slow and it looked like a child painted my nails. I will never go back.

This is truly the best nail salon that I have been to in Charlottesville. They are very kind, personable, and accommodating every time I go. They also very obviously sterilize their equipment. And, they do a truly great pedicure. Thorough, and better than I can do myself, which is not always the case with salons. I highly recommend!

My mom, sister, cousin, and I came from out of town for manicures and pedicures for my brothers wedding. Two weeks later and our gel manicures still look fabulous! Excellent service, didnt smell like a nail salon, extremely clean, and reasonable.

My lady did the most thorough and meticulous pedicure. my toenails look and feel great! I also appreciate the length of time she spent on my leg and foot massage! I will be back!

I really wanted to love this nail salon. Their prices are unbeatable. My dip powder manicure was $10 cheaper than the other salon I had been going to in the area (Lees Nails). The manicure turned out beautifully, however the process was not appealing. My manicure took an hour and a half. The man doing my manicure was visibility irritated and impatient. He kept getting angry because I wouldnt relax while he was doing my nails, and I wasnt placing my arm correctly. He kept jerking my hand or my arm to be in a position preferable for him. It made me feel incredibly awkward, and the fact that the manicure was taking so long made it worse. During the manicure he would make comments like, wow you never relax do you, or this is difficult. At the end of the manicure he sighed, laughed, and said finally, because it was taking forever and he was ready to be done. Not only did I not appreciate him jerking and pulling on my arm, I did not like his impatience during the process. Getting your nails done is supposed to be a relaxing past time for women, and this surely was not.I also got a pedicure, which was the worst Ive ever had. My nails looked fine, but there was still dead skin on my feet when I got out. I was more than disappointed, because I rarely get pedicures in the first place. The polish held up for LESS than a week.Not sure if Ill be going back.

After an awful experience at another salon here in town I went back to Serenity and had a very good experience. Had been there in the past and they have always done a great job. I will continue to go back regularly.

I have been going to Serenity Nails and Spa for about 8 months and have loved my experience up until the last two times I have been. The last time I scheduled an appointment for a pedicure and waited about 30 minutes. It looked like it was busy so I didnt pay any mind. Today I scheduled an appointment for a manicure and a pedicure, they were informed I was on my lunch break so I would not be able to wait, which is why I made an appointment. I waited for about 20 or 30 minutes when I was finally taken back to the chairs. After sitting down and waiting another 20 min, a gentleman brought his stuff over to begin the pedicure but instead of sitting down, he walked away. I waited another 10-15 minutes and left. Unless you are okay with waiting 30 minutes to an hour, do NOT go here.

Would never go back. Made an appt and still waited 30+mins past when I was supposed to be done. Got a full set and within 3 days one of my nails already broke. The man that did my nails would use his fingernail to separate the nail glue from my finger and he dug his nail into me several times. Highly disappointing and bad quality.

I was there on 9/15/18. We came to Charlottesville for my daughters 14th birthday. There were 4 of us getting services done. I got a fill and color changing gel polish. My daughter got a basic Mani and pedi. One of her friends got a Mani. The other friends d got basic pedi and full set of acrylic nails.The gentleman that did the Mani for the girl that only got Mani did an awesome job. He also did the full set of acrylic nails for the one girl. He did the dip ones in ombre black and blue. He was awesome. Took his time and did a great job. The lady that did the pedi for the girl with full set did a great job also.Now on to bad review.The lady that did my daughters Mani and pedi rushed through both. Also left my daughter sitting in the chair with her holding her nails in front of the little fan. Also she left nail polish on her fingers and did not clean it off.Now on to the gentleman that did my nails. He filed them down shorter than I wanted. I had told him I did not want the shortened. He also filed off part of my natural nail. I had also had the rounded square and he made the pointed. He also did a poor job paining my nails. He also got gel nail polish on my finger and did not clean it up.I will not be visiting this salon ever again unless I can get the one guy that did the great job.

The man working with me was so rude that I felt uncomfortable being here. I was getting a pedicure, he would get up and walk away for minutes at a time without any explanation. He didnt do a top/finishing coat and scowled at me when I asked for it. He also left me in my chair for 20 minutes after he finished before someone realized I wanted to pay and leave. Maybe the problem was just this one worker, but I felt so uncomfortable being here that I will never go back or recommend the experience to anyone.

I had a bad experience Ive been having my nails done for years. He couldnt paint my nails correctly forgot to do steps when finishing my nails. So much happen at this place very disappointed
