I had incredibly stubborn cigarette smoke smell in my house from years of tenant smoking that I could not remove even after layers of wall paint, replacing carpets and cleaning. Patrick was so helpful, responsible and professional in getting the smell out. Definitely would hire again.

We had water damage in our kitchen and was directed to Restoration 1. The initial response was great, they were onsite within 24 hours to start the mitigation. What I was led to believe was the mitigation process would take about 3 days. 11 days and $8,100 (now the price is over $10,000) later I still dont have any remodel work done in our home as promised. I have had to contract with another company to complete all repairs needed to put the kitchen back together. To further update this fiasco, our insurance company and Restoration 1 have battled over their outrageously high pricing for excessive billing for equipment and labor for this job. Each time Restoration 1 has to review the billing with our insurance company the price goes up for management getting involved for review. I have received a report from our insurance company where they hired an outside restoration expert to review all billing and their report came back showing Restoration 1 having no merit for all the equipment used and labor for the job and overcharging. I also have a full report from the replacement restoration company I had to hire which also shows that Restoration 1 has blatantly overcharged for their services. If I can offer you some advice, under no circumstances should you use this company unless you are comfortable with escalated pricing that will change many times to their advantage. This company has zero morals!!!!

We had water damage in our kitchen caused by our ice maker hose on our refrigerator. We called Restoration One as soon as soon we found out what we needed to do as this has never happened to us before. Patrick not only responded right away but was at our house within the hour after our initial phone call to assess the damage. He provided extremely detailed information on the process that was soon to follow and very detailed timelines that he was spot on with. The next morning he arrived at the house with his team (Chris and Ron) and they were all very professional and extremely pleasant to deal with. After very professional introductions, they started sealing off the area that needed to be dried in the kitchen and dining room area and the crawl space. They had fans and dehumidifiers sprawled out everywhere within the affected areas that were all sealed off from the rest of the house. Lets just say that having the sound of jet engines in your kitchen is not a pleasant noise to have to deal with for an extended period of time and Patrick was very conscious about that fact. Once he had all the equipment installed, he not only called daily to see how we were doing but he came back personally to check the moisture readings daily to try and see if he would be able to get us some peace and quiet in the house as soon as he possibly could while making sure the job was done properly. He was spot on with his timeline to us when he thought all the equipment could be pulled and the contractor could start his process of rebuilding what was damaged. Weekends, late nights, early mornings, it didnt matter, he was always there when we needed him. His customer service level was beyond exceptional. His knowledge of the process and next steps helped my wife and I get through a pretty rough situation. He was extremely detailed and took video and pictures of everything he did which made it so easy for us to communicate with our insurance company! A true class act and I cant thank these guys enough!

Wonderfrul company. Our kitchen ceiling completely fell down and water went everywhere after my daughter clogged toilet in the hall bathroom above. Chris and Pat were at our house an hour after i called and had, in very short order, put up plastic and some machines to help with the smell.They fully explained what they needed to do, that they needed to remove flooring and cabinets because of the sewer water, and clean everything up. They provided and explained how they charge for work and gave me all the prices up front--it was very professional and let me know that there were no hidden fees.When they finished the job, their manager provided me with the bill and asked me to let him know if anything was incorrect so that he could remove incorrect items from the bill.He then provided me with all their pictures and paperwork for the job so that I could give it to my adjuster.They made the horrible situation so easy--Restoration 1 took care of everything! A few days after they finished, my insurance company (Erie), sent me a check for the exact amount of their bill.I cannot get over how easy this has all been for me...first claim ever filed after 23 years. Im very thankful to Restoration 1 of Charlotte for their professionalism and to Erie for making it easy to get my house back in order quickly by paying the bills.Well done to both companies!

Could not be happier with this company. Second time weve had to call, and Chris was at our house within an hour. Dan checked on everything, made sure the mold removal process was fully explained, and they worked with a mold testing company that I hired to show everything was removed.Graham provided a bill that was reasonably priced, and our insurance company paid them in a week.Restoration 1 of Charlotte made the process simple, straightforward and understandable.

The worst experience ever! The toilet in my upstairs bathroom leaked damaging the bathroom floor and kitchen ceiling below it. I called a plumber (Benjamin Franklin) to fix the leak and they recommended their sister company Restoration 1 to do the mitigation.Ive been a homeowner for over a decade but luckily, Ive never had a major issue like this where I needed to file an insurance claim for repairs. When I get the bill for the mitigation work (tearing out half the small bathroom floor, cutting a patch out of the kitchen ceiling and leaving fans and heaters for a few days to dry the water. - the bill is $5,612.40!The total check from my insurance company for the mitigation and repairs together isnt $5,000. My insurance company says this price is more than DOUBLE the industry standards which is apparently using a system called Xactimate to get an accurate estimate.The original invoice was dated 10/7/19 on 10/23/19 Restoration 1 added a late fee of $112.25 and threatened to send my account to collections or lien! This is while they are in direct and constant contact with the insurance company going back and forth over money.Beware!!!! Restoration 1 does not use industry standard pricing, their payment/late fee policy is not normal and they threaten to ruin your credit.

After a back up left our entire showroom drowning in sewer water, Dessmond T. came out and was absolutely fantastic. He cleaned the whole place, leaving the showroom sparkling, but even more: cleaned the surrounding rooms, and gave us excellent advice for the future. All in all, was here for less than half an hour, worked around employees respectfully, and gave us peace of mind (and a clean and damage-free office!) Will 100% recommend to others for their water damage needs!

Restoration 1 failed to provide me with an estimate for their services. Instead, they advised and assured me that the work they provided would be covered fully under insurance. Needless to say, I was required to come out of pocket $1,000 in addition to what my insurance company paid. To prevent a lien being placed on my home, the $1,000 was paid by myself. Sketchy Sketchy.Update in response to the reply: That’s what I mean by sketchy. For one, my insurance deductible is only $500 and that was paid. The ADDITIONAL out of pocket expense was $1,000. Please don’t lie about what was explained to me, because that was NOT. Please see attached photos for proof. Be cognizant.2nd update. Since the original reply from Restoration 1 was deleted after I provided proof that they lied. The insurance company was not the problem. RESTORATION 1 WAS! Restoration 1 did not provide me with an invoice prior to any work and I was told the insurance company would pay for the repairs, regardless. Smh...that was not the case once the insurance company concluded that the system used to calculate the cost of damages were faulty/inaccurate.

I had sewage start pouring into my bathroom and beneath the floors; I had no idea what to do, but i called restoration1 and they came out immediately, and very shortly my house was finally not smelling like poo!The gentlemen who came out were very professional, explained the entire process to me (I have never had this happen before) and took care of everything. They had everything cleaned within a day, and drying took less than a week. I was afraid the noise would be bad, but it was very manageable.They sent me a bill for the cleanup, and when I asked them to replace the insulation and plastic, they had that done within 2 days.State Farm paid them exactly what they billed me.I hope I never have poo in my house again, but if I do, I know who Im calling!

The discovery of water damage in my home has literally been a 3-ring circus. I had damaged hardwood floors, subflooring and drywall, plus mold remediation. Restoration 1 was the only part of this process that went smoothly and didnt add to the nightmare. They are very knowledgeable and professional. The folks that run the office were always most helpful and made sure my messages were relayed in a timely manner, estimates are very transparent, you know exactly what they are going to do and I had it in hand within 24-hrs of my request. Dan King went above and beyond the call of duty, was very responsive, helpful and patient even though I was frantic and had 500,000 questions. Chris Kenty was a pleasure to work with; very thorough, polite and personable always showing up with a smile on his face. He was a hard worker too and no complaints when he had to sacrifice a weekend at the last minute. My insurance company insisted they begin the work on a Saturday and Restoration 1 was on the site with less than a 24-hr notice. I hope I never have this problem again but if I do, Restoration 1 will be my first phone call.
