Darrell came out to inspect an area on the bathroom ceiling to determine if it was mold & check humidity levels. He concluded that our fan needed to be replaced as it was not working properly. The area with the mold was so small that he said it would not be cost effective for them to clean it but he did share with us how we could do it ourselves. I truly appreciate his honesty and professionalism throughout the process. There was also no charge for the inspection. We will definitely use them in the future if any issue arises.

The initial visit was great and the guy that came out to inspect everything was very thorough. I was excited to do business with them. Everything after the 1st visit was awful. Poor customer service and poorly ran business. I was the one who always had to follow up with requests or to touch base on the status of my claim. We would go in circles and no one seemed to know what was going on. I never got anywhere with them and needless to say I did not use their services.

We had a pipe burst in our wall and plumber-who was awesome-that fixed that referred me to Afterdisaster. I regret now I did not use someone else. They were ok at times and terrible at others to work with. I had to demand not to put laminate in my kitchen as the rest of the house was ok for laminate. Their contract installer also cut holes at the bottom in my bathroom and bedroom door frames to accommodate very high 3/4-1 inch transitions (ones previously were like 1/4 inch) and because of that had to replace 3 pre-hung doors because of those choices at $645 cost. The reason why Im writing this review is that it has been less than a year and the Mohawk laminate product installed by Afterdisasters contractors warranties its products for 1 year supposedly and their representative from Afterdisaster has not responded to my inquiry about repairing/replacing kitchen to Living room transition from initial inquiry going back 6 weeks ago-Afterdisaster has apparently gone silent and not responding to my requests at all as last correspondence from them 2 -3 weeks ago was to hear from their Mohawk manufacturer representative of transition product that is less than a year old and starting to peel up. I paid them over $19, 000 and they will not even support or stand behind their manufacturers product even though the manufacturer may after I call them or even possibly call Jason Stoogenke at WSOC TV to help resolve this. As I said earlier I regret using Afterdisaster and would never recommend them to anyone and wish could give less than 1 star primarily because of the way they do business or neglect their customers even if their product manufacturers warranty still exist!

Dan Feid and his crew did a sloppy job from start to finish.2 months late past completion, and would not complete final items on this remodel.Claimed it wasn’t in his “scope or work” to have garage door working and provide a certificate of occupancy.Sloppy paint job and did a bad clean up job upon “completion” leaving lots of debri. Not sure if this is the after disaster standard but we are very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend.

AfterDisaster Metrolina was amazing. Their responsiveness, efficiency, and communication was perfect. From the initial call, assessment and remediation, to working with a contractor’s 3rd party insurance company to the final day our house was back together, and floors installed. Highly recommend! Thank you all for a job well done!

Shortly after moving into our new home, we discovered a leak that had been occurring for 2+ years within a wall of our master bedroom. Avery from After Disaster couldn’t have been more helpful! He was very knowledgeable and provided his expertise as we determined what to do. Avery clearly cares about the well being of his clients and it was extremely refreshing to work with a contractor with that approach!

When we had a leak on our wood floors, they were quick to bring out equipment and get everything dried before any damage was caused to the wood floors which would have been a process to get repaired. Their team was very informative and sincere. Thank you so much for your help.

We had water damage to our house from hurricane Florence and we used AfterDisaster to dry up the water on our floors and in our walls. They were able to come help us right away thankfully. They were super nice and very professional. We then hired them to do the remodel work as well. It was great having them coordinate everything for us. They used great contractors and did awesome work on our repairs. The workers and the staff here were really helpful, flexible and accommodating with all of our requests through the process. We are very happy now with our beautiful finished product! Thank you!

We woke up Thursday morning to a flooded kitchen, across our wood floors. Water line to water/ice maker on new refrigerator installed on Wednesday evening, ruptured sometime during the night. I vacuumed up over two gallons of water. I called our insurance agent who recommended AfterDisaster. I called at about 10 am and had a technician on site by 4 pm. they took moisture measurements of floors and walls. They set up drying fans and an industrial dehumidifier to prevent mold. Equipment ran over through the weekend and on Monday morning (after 3 full days of drying) the 2 technician set up a temporary plastic floor to ceiling wall, and sealed the dining room doorway with plastic. They removed a large amount of flooring, before we decided to call in the flooring company that had originally stalled the wood floors. In all, the AfterDisaster team arrived quickly. Let us know what would be happening during the clean-up process, and made sure we could contact them with any questions. they left the house as clean as possible when they were finished. They also worked wtih the company paying for the damages. I can recommend AfterDisaster for this type of flooding response without reservation

After disaster was sent to us by our insurance company. We had our kitchen flood. We had never dealt with this situation, so we figured the insurance company sent them out because they knew what they were doing. The techs are just the nicest guys. I enjoyed talking to them. The people above the techs weren’t that great. No one ever knew what to tell us about the situation. It felt as if they just wanted to come in, do whatever, and collect insurance money. The tech was new, didn’t know what he was doing, but yet they let him do everything alone?! Shame on you management! He went to our crawl space and found no water damage, but when we called our preferred company, they found gallons of water in the ducts, MOLD, and the entire area was dripping wet! After disaster also damaged our refrigerator door because they didn’t prep anything when doing demo. I would think twice before letting these guys do any work on your house.

AfterDisaster did a very poor job and charged the insurance company a ridiculous amount of money, they were rude and left the place a mess. After that we found water and mildew in areas where they didn’t remove the floors. Also they cause a lot more destruction that there was before the came. They are crooks and I don’t recommend them to anyone. Beware of this company. I had to pay them, but will sue them for the money I had to pay someone else to remove the wet floors and treat the mildew.

The people seem very nice, but all are unorganized. The company damaged my flooring, left things a mess, and had to come out several times. After taking ownership of damaging the flooring they still never repaired the floors, and did not provide any assistance in replacing them. They have defiantly helped me learn my lesson in doing research even in a disastrous situation.
