Matt was super helpful in educating me on the inner working mechanisms of my antique watch- so interesting! Picked it up today after repair and he has it looking beautiful and it is finally keeping correct time! Very thankful to find him- a true artisan.
Honesty and integrity were what I experienced. Matts work ethics are unmatched. One of the well-known jewelers destroyed my Rado and Matt brought back to life, going above and beyond - Thank you Matt
It is very rare to find someone who is an artisan and craftsman in any field. Matt is a watch and clock master. If your watch is expensive or has high sentimental value, Swiss Watch Repair is where to have it serviced. I have had watches serviced before at the manufacturer in Switzerland. They typically take six months, are twice as expensive and not as complete as the service Matt gave the watch I took to him. Lucky for me I live in Charlotte, but Ill have him handle all my time pieces from now on regardless of where I am. Five stars! - Mark T.
They are super knowledgeable. My husband has a 40 year old watch from his grandpa that we weren’t able to fix in other places. Swiss Watch repair we’re able to do it wonderfully. Great customer service as well.
This guy, Matt Demert is really good, reliable and knowledgeable! Took a high end wrist watch with a problem to one of Charlottes most well known jewelers for many years. After being told it was no longer worth servicing, I couldnt part with it and heard about Matt. He told me the previous jeweler had put a wrong battery in the watch, then used the correct battery and 30 days later it is accurate to the second!! His service cost was barely more than half of the high end service.I also had him look at an inherited pocket watch over 105 yrs old and again had been told was not worth the cost to repair or refurb by another notable jeweler. Matt turned an Illinois PW Grade 306 Model 9 into a beautiful keepsake. Definitely recommend his service and expertise!
Can’t say enough good things about Matt at the Swiss Watch Repair in southeast Charlotte. It’s an established family business and they are trained technicians in servicing most timepiece makes. I took my 2009 Rolex chronometer to them for an overdue overhaul. The autowinder on my watch had stopped working and the case & bracelet badly needed polishing. Matt accepted my repair job after inspecting the movement while I waited, and then gave me a three week repair estimate at a price well below what a Rolex dealer would have charged. Matt astonished me by texting me that my watch was ready to pick up after only 6 days! He patiently explained what work he had performed, including a final case pressure test. My scratched watch had been transformed into one that appeared to be brand new! Moreover, I no longer need to hand-wind it every day because he replaced a worn part in the self-winding mechanism. Very pleased in every respect and Swiss Watch Repair just won a new, loyal customer.
Great rates and quick turnaround (on the spot with my one watch!); an incredibly personable and professional 1-man show. Highly recommend Matts services to anyone with a watch they care about. My Swiss watches are in the under $300 category (Mondaine and Swiss Military by Chronos), but felt as welcome as someone coming in with something far more valuable. Thanks again, Ill be back for one of those refurbished watches in the display case around Christmas time!
Matt was awesome and friendly and he got my watch (Oris Aquis) that was running +20 seconds a day down to +0 seconds a day in just a few minutes. He was extremely careful working on it and pressure tested it as well after calibrating it to ensure it was sealed properly. I hope I dont need to have my watch worked on in the near future but when I do, I 100% will take it back to Matt. Thanks for the chat and getting my watch running perfectly!
Amazing!! Very professional, knowledgeable and fast! And prices are more than reasonable!! If you need your watch fixed definitely come here!!
I recently had the the white day date wheels of my watch swapped out for black ones. Matt turned it around very quickly and at a fair price. I’m a watch geek and have a deep appreciation for those in the trade. It didn’t take long for me to realize that Matt and Ken are the real deal. Both were very welcoming, showed me around the shop, and kindly answered all of my questions. I will always be an owner of automatic watches and it is comforting to know that I have an adept watchmaker right around the corner.
I am so grateful because they repaired the watch my grandfather gave. I have visited a few services, but only Swiss Watch Repair was able to help me. Their customer service is amazing and pricing is great. Highly recommended!
I’ve been looking for years for someone to repair my grandfather’s pocket watch. Never found anyone in Ohio. I finally found Hall’s in Charlotte. They fixed the watch, told me the history of the company, described the watch and showed me the mechanism under a microscope. All very interesting. They were so interesting and friendly. The watch turned out to be 115 years old and it runs perfectly now. So glad I found them. Thank you Matt.
Matt is a master at his trade, and definitely the best watchmaker in the entire Charlotte area! He did a complete overhaul, cleaning, and polishing on my Breitling, and has it running within 1 second per day. If you are a mechanical watch enthusiast you will know that that is an incredible task! Not only is he professional, and works in a timely manner, but he has an unbelievable amount of knowledge about luxury watches and Swiss movements. He works on many different luxury brands, and has a very vast skill set. You can tell by talking to him that he has a true passion for watchmaking, and you can tell by his work that he has truly mastered his craft!I cannot recommend him more as a customer and watch enthusiast, and urge everyone who reads this to stop searching and call Matt. He is THE watchmaker in Charlotte.
Matt does great work at reviving timepieces. I have an older watch that was in need of attention so I stopped wearing it. Matt has it looking like new, running well and I am back to enjoying it regularly. Thanks, Matt. Well done!
Matt is the best. He did an excellent maintenance job on my 1969 Rolex. He corrected an error that Ive had for many years. The Rolex is now keeping perfect time.
If you don’t want to wait weeks or months to get your watch repaired or cleaned look no further. Matt repairs Rolexes, Cartiers, TAGs, Omegas better and faster than any jeweler I’ve ever come across. In fact my guess is they outsource their work to him as they don’t have the talent to perform it in-house themselves. He’s my go to guy. Reasonable rates, attention to detail second to none. Don’t second guess yourself. Call him. Thank me later.
Matt completely serviced and repaired my automatic movement and timed it to +1 second per day! That is great and I love learning about my many watches. This man has knowledge and skills. He is my go to guy from now on.
Matt is incredibly meticulous when repairing my watches. He returned them to me in new condition and I every time I get one back from him I feel like I am wearing a brand new watch once again!
Swiss watch repair was awesome I took my Bulova watch in to get fixed and they just did outstanding work very professional I am very please next day servicesI will only go to Swiss watch repair for all my needs thank you guys
I recently stopped in to get some advise on a specific watchband needed for my Bulova watch. Matthew Demert was amazing. He let me knew what I needed to do size wise in order for me to get the correct band. I was ordering the band online, since he unfortunately didnt have what I needed. He still took the time to give the advice I needed, and he even offered to help me install it once I received what I ordered. If you are looking for getting any watch repair or advice... Matthew at Swiss Watch Repair is the man to contact!
I’ve taken two high end watches to Matt, an oris and a Tudor. On both jobs he went out of his way to accommodate me and did an AMAZING job restoring my Tudor. And you can’t beat his prices. 10 out of 10.
Great experience with Matt. He was friendly, attentive and definitely knows his stuff. I have a Swiss watch and couldn’t find anyone that could do it without shipping it off. Matt does great work on high end watches for an unbelievable value! Highly recommend seeing him for any watch you have!
I had 3 g-shock watches that needed batteries. Mr. Demert replaced all three on the spot. The fee was very reasonable. Highly recommended!!
I needed service for my Tag Heuer watch. I was impressed with the turnaround time and Also how nice it looked. He even buffed out the scratches. Thank you Matt!
Went out of his way, when he was closed, just to help me put a new battery in my GShock watch. Id recommend them over any place and trust them with any device. Super nice and intelligent guy.
Wonderful Watchmaker, great experience!
Matt serviced a Mavodo watch for me and made an 8 year old watch look new again. Cleaned the movements and replaced the seals. I would highly recommend him for watch repairs
Went in today to have a watch sized and let me tell ya I will not go anywhere else great guys and fast service and very knowledgeable
Excellent service, Dad and son local shop both extremely knowledgeable about their trade, definitely recommend. While waiting got to learn about an old china clock, just amazing!
Called about getting a 1940’s Omega watch stem replaced. Made an appointment for Saturday morning. When I arrived I called to have them let me in the building. The guy asked if my watch was quartz. I replied “how can a watch from the 1940’s be a quartz?” I told him I was outside his shop and he asked again if it was quartz or had buttons. I replied again “how can a watch from the 1940’s be quartz?” He told me not to bring it to him if was going to have an attitude. I literally wasted my Saturday morning on this.
Great service at a fair cost. Will definitely use again.
Called to get my watch battery replaced, said to come on down, they took me right in, repaired my watch on the spot. It took roughly 4 minutes from start to finish, in and out And on my way. I even got a short cool lesson on a clock that was made by IBM before they were IBM getting repaired in the shop. Great place, great people, great local business.
HE IS SO HELPFUL I CALLED AND I WENT TO HIM RIGHT AWAY! VERY FAST AND CONVENIENT!!!!
