I was a student at this school, where I achieved my 3rd Degree Black Belt. This experience was amazing, and I loved everything about it.Sadly due to real life issues the old owners were forced to sell the school to Fuzion Martial Arts. While Fuzion is still good, I prefer the atmosphere that the old owners brought to the school, and I loved every moment I was there.I nearly quit after they sold the school, but Ive pushed through and decided I will continue my Tae Kwon Doe career because of the experience with URMA.-Liam Kelley

The teacher is dedicated, focused, strong and inspiring for students. Assistance are average. The class timings are convenient and you can go 6 times/ week - another great reason to join. But the experience Leaving the class was horrible. We are made to stay almost 6 weeks after giving formal leaving notice and we are told this is how it works in US which is untrue and this is how it works only in Urban Revolution. We have been to different places and classes in US but we never had any problem. Owners behavior was very rude. She also said she had this kind of experience only with me but the fact is many of us had similar experience with her. Lot of kids from our community go to the class, and we are connected and we discuss. Teacher push kids to leadership class even if kids or parents are not ready so that there could be spots in family basics class for new students.Few private lessons, not countless. All classes provide the same if needed. 12 Jan to 26 Feb is not 30 days period. This may be difficult to understand since there is no proper system/registration of the information. Parents share their experiences.

My son has been going to URMA for 4+ years now. He graduated as a Black Belt Aug 19. The entire credit goes to Mr. & Mrs. Granieri. Their dedication to the art, to students and the community is unparalleled! They are both excellent role models and Ive seen students getting inspired and motivated by them. URMA has grown over the years, a testimony to the fantastic work they are doing. My son does not want to miss classes or any community event for that matter. Over the last few months he joined their Zoom classes as well. Wishing them a great future!

My two daughters, ages 7 and 12, and my husband and I all take classes at URMA. My eldest daughter started about five years ago, and the rest of us joined about two years ago. The owners are topnotch instructors, and the school is very family-friendly, which I love! My girls have flourished here. They are not only learning to defend themselves but they are learning important life lessons about responsibility, discipline and respect. The owners are supportive and nurturing, and show genuine interest in their students and families lives. They also have themed summer camps, which are awesome and a great value. My kids love them!

It’s a very good school and the owners are great people. Only issue is several parents use the two handicap parking spots (without handicap tags) while waiting for their. One parent routinely will part so they take up both spots. - Thank you for the update. I have corrected my review.

We joined URMA a few months ago and have had nothing but positive experiences there. Our children are young and Mrs Granieri and Mrs Gomez have really helped by offering private lessons to build their confidence during the group classes. I also really enjoy attending the midday classes, it’s a great way to improve fitness and learn self defence. I would definitely recommend it!

This martial arts center was not a good fit for my son. He’s a sensitive kid and was pushed into their leadership program before he was ready. That involved combat with other kids and at times he was matched with bigger more aggressive children and was bullied. I addressed it with the instructors and was told he needed to learn to handle kids like that. He was just 5 years old at the time. It negatively affected his self esteem and confidence which was devastating for us as parents. Additionally URMA is over crowded. We pulled him out and found a different martial arts center that has been amazing and a wonderful fit for his personality and sensitivity. He has done amazing and has built self confidence.I would caution parents who have sensitive children who are kind and not aggressive. Lots of aggressive kids here looking to fight.

My husband, 2 daughters, and I have been taking martial arts from Mr. & Mrs. Granieri for almost 8 years! My daughters started when they were 2 & 4 years old. What a great way to teach them self-confidence, discipline, and self-defense while creating lasting friendships and getting into shape. This school is awesome for children of all ages ... including us old kids in our 40s and 50s. :) Love it!!Hi-yaa!

2 years back we moved from Houston, we were comparing this place from Taekwondo center in Katy where Bharat started his training first. We were nervous at a new place but in no time the kind of warmth and Welcome we got at Urban Revolution...this place became a part of our family. We started to realize how much pain Mr and Mrs Garnieri takes to make each and every child a better person in martial arts, in life skills and building their confidence. We love the staff and always feel bonded here. My son in on a amazing journey to become a strong and confident individual and owe his successes to the brilliant coaching he receives at Urban Revolution... thanks so much for all you do!!

My son has been a student there for over 2 years and he has had his last three birthday parties there. We absolutely love the classes there and the instructors strike a perfect balance of being firm yet incredibly nurturing as well. The birthday parties cant be beat!! My son has loved every one of his parties there, and URMA takes care of all the details so I barely have to do any of the planning!

We have been part of the URMA family since the beginning and couldnt be more thrilled. Six people in the family with one black belt, one first degree black belt, and four second degree black belts. The instruction is top notch and the atmosphere is family oriented with a focus on values such as integrity, discipline and respect. We couldnt ask for more!

Mr and Mrs Granieri as well as Mrs Lopez welcomed us from another MA discipline with wide open arms. My son has continued and expanded his whole body learning both in direct TKD skills and cardiovascular health, but also character development. My daughter participated in private lessons and received timely support by way of the Granieris encouraging message of self-worth, self-identity, and self-defense. When other activities (baseball!!) take us from our normal participation levels, there is never judgement, only welcoming arms when we settle back into routine. My children are 14 and 11. There are many students in that age cluster. The location is easily accessible off Route 51 near the Arboretum, and the class schedules allows for flexibility to your week. We are completely satisfied and look forward to continued growth with URMA!

Our family loves Urban Revolution Martial Arts! In 2010, my son started TKD at the age of 5 and a year later my 3 year old joined him. While watching my kids in class, I realized that not only were they learning great life skills, but they were having fun, getting fit and becoming stronger while doing it. Realizing I could benefit from taking class as well, I signed myself up and quickly fell in love with the sport. Today my sons are nearly 7 and 10 and we are a family of black belts. Even my husband, who cant take TKD, goes to the combat fitness classes they offer and loves it.The instructors are great teachers who care about each and every child. I love watching the kids advance and seeing how each child improves in different aspects of life. Urban Revolution is like a second family to us.

Our son has been going to URMA for over 2 years now. Hes very close to getting his black belt. Miss Levy and Mr. Granieri have done an excellent job at keeping the kids engaged and active. They are in no way pushy in their sales tactics. Some of the items they sell tend to be a little over priced. But they are very honest, and give you the service you pay for, better than any other studio. And, it doesnt stop there. Theyve been to my sons elementary school class twice. Miss Levy is well known for her disciplinary principles in or out of her class. Grades and conduct are very important to her.And their Trunk or Treat is legendary. URMA is not just a karate school, its a family.

Both of my sons (ages 4 and 7) attend the leadership training at URMA. They asked to have their birthday party here for the 2nd year in a row since they had so much fun last year. The party was extremely affordable in comparison to other places, especially considering we were able to invite as many kids as we wanted and they provided the decorations (we chose the theme), pizza, drinks, and piñata. We only had to bring our cake and the boys. The kids had a blast with all of the different activities they had planned. One of my favorite parts was a cute custom video of the boys that played on a loop through the party. We love all of the instructors here and absolutely love training here, so its no surprise that the birthday parties are just as phenomenal. I would highly recommend having a party (and training) at URMA.
