My adult children and I had an awesome day with Captain Joel and mates Bill and Chicken Wing! These guys are life long fishermen and still have the passion. They made it fun and successful. Everyone reeled in fish and brought home enough cleaned fish to feed our party of 8 at least 4 meals! If you are going to the middle Florida keys, book a trip with Captain Joel and Ana Banana! 🍌

My wife and I had an off-shore fishing excursion canceled due to a tropical storm. We called Capital Jojo, who was willing to take us inshore fishing for snapper, jacks, and a few others. Despite the storm, we caught over 60 fish, and easily hit out limit for Snapper. Very knowledgeable, and great balance of helping but letting us do the work if we wanted to. I would highly recommend them, and plan to use them again.

Perfect half-day fishing trip. Everyone caught a lot of fish and had a lot of fun. Captain JoJo was extremely knowledgeable and got us right on the fish we wanted. First we caught a bunch of snapper and other edible fish for lunch. We followed that with fishing for larger fish and reeled in a Jack Crevalle. The kids had a blast. We plan to be back during our next vacation here.

Super nice folks, however, if you are an avid fisherman, you will probably be disappointed. They are geared toward touristy clients who just want to go out and catch something. Be careful on the boat selection! The boat we had was relatively small, no roof (ie no shade), did not have any toilet (my wife was not happy about this), and was limited to inshore reef fishing. For paying over $1k for an full day deep sea fishing, we feel we did not get much value. Our Capt was very nice and personable, but was very green with limited experience.

Had a great day on the water, even though mother nature didnt help us. Caught several Mahi, and Captain Joel was especially great with my special needs daughter. She reeled in 2 Mahi, and had the time of her life. We all caught fish, had a great day, and enjoyed the time. Oh, and the fish was delicious!!! Chicken Wing did a great job of keeping the grass off our lines and keeping as many lines in the water as we could.

Awesome fishing trip, capt Joel and mate Chris were a perfect team. Putting us on a limit of tuna and lots of dolphin in a short amount of time. We even did some deep fishing which I thought was cool. Highly recommended charter.

Awesome trip, Capt Joel was easy going, put us ont he fish and we limited out on yellowtail all were flags in the 18-22 inch size fish . he also decided to do a last minute troll and connected on a nice dolphin. Will hire him again. Trip was end of May 2021

Dont fish with Captain Joel unless you want to bailing fish out of the boat so you don’t sink because they are jumping in so fast.Its exhausting

Always have an amazing time fishing with Ana Banana, and I’ve been fishing with them for over 10 years! The one time I almost got skunked (except for a giant mackerel that got bit in half by a bull shark on the way in), I ended up with a 3 hour fight to bring in a 200 lb shark in my most memorable fishing experience ever! Last time I fished with him, we even won a tournament!

This charter was awesome. Called looking to book same day and without hesitation Cap Joel said yes and gave us time to choose. He made us feel welcomed from the moment we got there. He definitely knows hospitality. He took us to an awesome spot and we caught a ton on snapper and even recommended a place to have them cook it for us. Shout out to chicken wing chicken nugget as my sister in law kept calling you. You were very helpful. I have chartered many times with this company. We catch so many fish we sometimes start to feel sorry for them. A satisfied customer!!!

My husband and I went fishing with Captain Joel and had a blast. Captain Joel was very knowledgeable and took us to an awesome fishing spot where we caught more than enough fish to eat along with some nice sized out of season fish we released. Overall it was a great experience we wouldnt fish with any other company well worth the price. I feel like we truly experienced Florida fishing at its best. We will definitely be coming back.

Was pretty rough weather conditions but boat was very comfortable in the rough seas for both me and my girlfriend. Despite the rough conditions, Captain Joel put us on the bite. Filled the coolers with Tuna. He is a Multi generation Florida Keys Charter Captain, well worth the price!!!

Booked a trip with Captain Joel. It was awesome. We booked a 6 person trip on short notice. 5 adults and a 10 year old. One of the guests gets seasick and it was a fairly rough day. Captain Joel got it done, he kept us close and out of the chop. Nobody got sick and my son had a total blast......we probably caught 100 fish. Filled the cooler with dinner and had an amazing day. We were clueless when we started but they were good teachers and we were getting the hang of it by the end of the morning. Joel knows how to put you on the fish, was down around Thanksgiving and was lucky to get out with him, Not only was he a great Captain he also took us out to the Sombrero Key Lighthouse, it was a gorgeous day, snorkeling was epic. Captain Joseph was great! He made sure we caught some big fish and was very knowledgeable of what spots were hot. Super friendly and professional. Even jumped into the freezing water to get my fish out of the mangroves! Will definitely recommend.

Professional guide with tons of experience on Tampa Bay. Maybe one of the best two day stretches of fishing I’ve ever experienced. We caught snook, reds, spanish and a variety of other fish under all kinds of conditions. Captain Joel and Joseph are as good as they come. I can’t wait to get back down there.

Not knowing what to do for 4th of July morning, I decided to book a fishing trip as a surprise to my fiance. Being my first time on a fishing charter, I didnt know what to expect. My fiance, AJ, had been on numerous fishing trips so there was pressure to surpass his past experiences. We met Captain Joel and First Mate Brooke for the 9 am sailing. What an experience!!! Captain Joel and First Mate Brooke provided so much personal attention and made my first fishing experience so incredible...and for my fiance, AJ, who being much more skilled than I, the experience for him was equally as awesome. He hasnt stopped thanking me for a great morning. We caught lots of Spanish Mackral and even some sharks (Atlantic and Black Tip).
