We hired Berger Allied Moving and Storage for a local move after a former neighbor had a positive experience. From receiving the quote to having questions answered, the entire process was flawless and all the staff were professional. On moving day, we were assigned Mario and his crew, AMAZING!!! We had several large and heavy pieces of furniture . Mario and his crew worked on a hot humid day without complaint. They were efficient and we watched in amazement as they hauled the large pieces of furniture from the second floor without even coming close to touching a wall or causing any damage. The crew was personable and polite.I’m was very impressed with every person I have interacted. Since our belongings are in storage, we look forward to the same exceptional service upon delivery!
Everything went smooth the entire time. From packing our multi-level house in under 4 hours to loading the truck in the same amount of time. The workers are very diligent. We bought them lunch and they told us that was the first time all week they had been offered anything other than water. I’m was very impressed with these guys! 10/10. Keep up the good work.

We chose Berger Allied Moving based on good reviews from other clients. Our decision to use Berger to transport our belongings to their warehouse was the right choice. Every person involved in moving our belongings out of our home was first class. The packers were exceptional - they were courteous and efficient. Every member of the loading crew and driver were also good. We are looking forward to the same good results in the final move from storage to our new home this autumn. The move up to this point deserves 5 stars.

In a word, terrible. They lost a lot of our stuff and had us wait 10 days while they searched their warehouse. They also broke 5-10 of the items they did deliver. Once the driver found there were missing items, they quickly left, leaving furniture out in the yard and set up little of what they brought. Terrible!

First time using a moving company for relocating and our experience was marvelous! They were very careful with handling, packaging, and delivering all things! With being such on a short time crunch, they went out of their way to make the move happen in two days. They were very quick to organize and ship. Communication was very transparent and they let us know of every step involved. I will definitely be using them again if having to relocate!

Just did a move. They lost the backs to both my couches. Been over a month and I still dont have them. Got lots of empty promises. Cannot get reimbursed because couchs are not essential + you can still sit on them even though you dont have backs. Cant file a claim because they are not damaged, they are just lost. So if you want to spend 7K on a move and then go out and spend 4K more on new couches. I would give these folks 5 stars. If you feel like 7K is worth getting all your funiture i give them 0 stars. Pick another mover!!

I had to pay over $7,000 up front and they didn’t finish the move and I had to hire another mover that cost $2,000. They never delivered an antique table and I have thousands of dollars of damage. They never set up my beds, put mirrors on dressers and left a wooden desk on its side in my foyer. No one will contact me after calls and letters. Do not use Berger Allied!!! They are unprofessional and did not wrap furniture in pads or anything else that needed protecting and dents and scratches are all over the furniture!!

The crew was very professional and theyre an extremely nice to work with. I was also extremely impressed with the care that they took packing my items and the efficiency in which they did at no time was wasted and I have confidence that all of my personal effects are going to show up at my destination in the condition that they were packed from my house. If you need a team of hard-working professionals that doing outstanding job definitely give these guys a call.

Be aware, they will tell you one thing and deliver another. In my case I was told the delivery date was on a Saturday and nothing arrived until Wednesday (they couldnt even locate the driver for days). This was an out of state move so I was in a hotel for 5 days (4 days longer than expected) but they promised to cover my food and hotel expenses (almost $1,000). Be advised, they wont. Even if they tell you a date upon pick-up theyre not going to honor that date. There was also minor damage to some of my items and I am still waiting for 1 item to be delivered (its been almost 2 months now). Not sure if this is a Berger issue or an Allied issue, but either way dont trust them and go with another moving company. With my job I move every 2-3 years and Ive learned my lesson with Allied the hard way and wont be using them again.
I am very impressed with Berger Allied Moving & Storage. From the move estimator, to the move coordinator, the packing team, loading team and claims folks - ALL were pleasant, productive, and helpful. It made a big difference in my stress level ! I would use them again!
My wife and I have experienced major dysfunction on moving days in the past, due to this, I was overly cautious in confirming information. Margaret Panther, our moving coordinator, was very responsive and helpful throughout the move. This includes before, during, and after the move - not just sending e-mails, but calling to make sure we were on the same page. The moving of our car went without a hitch and it was there on time with no damage. The moving day was great, our driver Eric was personable, very professional, and efficient. Both the move out and move in dates, he was early - there to prep for the loaders to arrive. We have never used a moving company before, and I dont foresee us using anyone other than Allied in the future.
Great experience from beginning to end!! I called 3 different companies to walk our home & give me estimates and Mindy Sanders personality won me over from the moment she stepped into our home. She gave me moving tips as we walked the home, suggested ways I could save money or pack smarter. I asked if I could get any used boxes and she said if they were available, I could swing by. I made two trips to Berger, met Margaret Panther (a huge help as well and always available by phone for questions or changes!) and the warehouse team working the dock and all were super nice and helpful. The local warehouse team not only offered me the boxes at no charge, they loaded them for me and even helped me secure them in our vehicle. Both trips, I received the same consistent excellent customer service from the warehouse associates. Move day finally arrived yesterday and Marcus (driver) and the team (James, Darrell, David) were all terrific!! Hardworking, polite, friendly, courteous...the best team we have had yet for a move. We would use Berger Allied again, truly the best move we have had and the best group of people managing the process all the way through!!
Our moving experience was fantastic from pick up to delivery. Each person that we worked with was very professional, polite, and worked hard and fast. We’ve moved numerous times over the past few years and this was by far the best experience that we’ve had. Moving is always a lot of work but the teams with Berger Allied made it a much easier event.

Margaret and Mindy were amazing. The packers were amazing packed everything perfectly and nothing was damaged. The driver Tom and the Charlotte moving crew were fantastic as well. Moved on Friday and delivery to my home on Monday. Only minus was the helpers to unload in Birmingham showed up an hour and a half late.. But all in all the best move ever coming from someone who has relocated several times.

Great service. Starting with the initial walk through to get estimate. Mindy was accurate on her estimate. The assistance she gave in preparation for our move was 1st class. The team that moved us was on time, prepared for everything we hadnt and friendly. Could not have asked for a better experience.
Every step of way was a disaster. I’ve done several cross country moves and have never had such a bad experience. Packers showed up 4 hours late ... with no boxes. How do you pack with no boxes. Boxes came 45 minutes later.Items were marked for storage or home. Next day truck was loaded and driver gave me drop off date. More on that later. Driver was to call me next day to confirm day. He didn’t. He ignore calls and texts for two days. Company could provide no info.Turns out they delivered one week after promising. But they only had driver and elderly father to unload 9000 pounds. I had to help them unload.Then items were put in storage that should have been at home. They had to redeliver to home.Then they lost a box. It’s been one month since a claim was filed. And no one can tell me a thing.
Good service. This was our first big move with kids. I was nervous because they had the most reasonable estimate of 4 companies, so I expected there may be issues, however things went well. They worked on our timeline, they were able to ship our stuff on one truck. The packers and movers were good. Some of the furniture got dinged up during the move but I guess that is normal. We made a claim and they have alright sent a company to repair it. I would reccomend this company
A tremendous job done by the packing and moving team on our move from Charlotte to Atlanta.Mindy was upfront and transparent in her cost estimate and followed up in a friendly manner regarding her bid. Throughout the process when we made changes to our move she quickly and efficiently handled them. It was clear throughout the process that she knew her job well. Importantly she didn’t overpromise and explained everything thoroughly. Much less “salesy” than any of the other bidders for the job - made me feel like I could trust her and your company.Margaret did an exceptional job at handling and following up on all the details of the move. All questions were answered promptly and coordination with the movers, packers and disassemblers was flawless. She clearly outlined the process to me and delivered as expected. She quickly followed thru on everything that was asked of her and made the logistics of the move easy for me.Dave was the most courteous and polite packer I’ve had in all my moves. He effectively managed his team and clearly had experience in getting his job quickly at a high standard. I don’t believe anything packed was broken in the move (at least as of this email)!Heath was by far the best mover I’ve ever had. He cared about doing the job right. He attended to every detail and made sure we were happy with everything he was doing. He managed his crew extremely well which resulted in a much quicker move than expected. On that note, not only did he call ahead but in talking with him he asked if we wanted to be moved in our Atlanta home the next day. And we did - and he did it. Awesome mover!While this was my first non-corporate move, this move was completed better than any of my corporate moves. Berger should really be proud of their organization. They made it an easy move for me and my family.

Truck was late both times (1hr, 3hr) no call was given ahead of time to warn of delay. Load in and load out took up nearly 12 hours each. Some items were not put into truck at source, items from another lot were also delivered to destination. Home was not protected and damages occurred. Furniture was not wrapped (blanket or saran wrap) and damages have occurred. Bedding was not boxed and was dirtied by the truck inner walls. I am very dissatisfied.

A cautionary tale. This was our first out of state move from Cincinnati to Charlotte. We had lots of anxiety. Mark from the Cincinnati office was friendly and professional. He assured us that we were in good hands. He told us that they had a hub in Charlotte and trucks went to and from Cincinnati all the time. That is not the case! Up until the day of inventory, everything was as promised. Our driver told us that all of our items would not fit on the truck even though an inventory was taken with Mark weeks prior. We had actually sold two rooms of furniture AND a patio set since then.The day of move came and many items did not fit because they had decided to ship a motorcycle inside the truck and refused to build a crate or deck for for it. Their contingency plan was to send a truck the next day but no one could tell me when the rest of my items would arrive in North Carolina. Although 30% of my items were left behind they demanded payment in full once the first truck arrived in Charlotte.We were missing crucial items such as ladders, a vacuum, brooms and garbage cans in order to move in and be productive in our new home. We were told by the General Manager, Shawn Brady, that the company would reimburse us for the items we had to purchase to get settled in.12 days later my items finally arrived but the driver had no help to unpack and move my items off of the truck. So in 95 degree heat, I had to help the driver myself retrieve my items off my truck and put them into my home, my garage and backyard. If I wanted to take two weeks to move to North Carolina I would’ve done it myself and not paid a professional moving company thousands upon thousands upon thousands of dollars to do it.Since the second truck arrived no one at the office in Cincinnati will return calls. I have filed a claim with Allied and they are offering me $250 as a settlement. It’s insulting. I will be filing a complaint with the FMCSA and are preparing to go to arbitration if i have too.There are several other infractions that were committed but at risk of sounding too worry I will leave them out Please proceed with caution with this company.

I would recommend Berger Transfer and Storage! Moved across the country in February, snow, rain wind you name it. Berger said they would be there on Friday and they were there on Friday. They will move your items, break them, delay payment for months, and then when finally threatened with legal action, suddenly movement will occur. I would not trust them again. Watch out if hired as the moving company for a military PCS.

Worst experience I have ever had! They came to pick up my belongings and my car the 28th of December. Everything went as planned but since then it has been one nightmare after another. My belongings and car were scheduled to be delivered between the 5th and 15th of January. They called me on the 14th to say that their was an oversight and none of my stuff was going to be delivered tomorrow because none of it had been picked up yet. How you miss a car and a truck full of stuff, is completely unbeknownst to me. Then I was told after a few days of not having a clue when my stuff was going to show up that they had a driver scheduled to pick it up on the 20th and I would have it by the 26th. And it did get picked up. However, on the 25th I get a call telling me the driver had some trouble with his truck and it got pushed back until Monday but more than likely Tuesday. Well its Tuesday and my stuff still isnt here....I got a call at lunch today saying they are hoping for Thursday.As of yesterday it was a complete month since I have seen any of my stuff. I have been living out of a suitcase that had enough clothes for 10 days....luckily I have had access to a washer and dryer and my new co-workers have let me borrow a shower curtain, blankets, pillows, and an air mattress.The only positive thing I can say is the women I have been working with was very friendly and they are paying for my rental car.****UPDATE: Well I received my stuff on Thursday like promised after the 4th time. However, it was in less than perfect condition, boxes were water logged and badly damaged which you would expect to happen slightly but boxes were CRUSHED and ripped all the way through. Also there is significant damage done to the exterior roof of my car, like something fell on it. And I am 99% sure that the driver noticed because when I went to sign-over my car he was sweeping things off of the roof. Also I am missing two-three boxes that he assured me I had just forgotten to check off on the sheet. But after unpacking everything I have noticed that I am missing my outdoor winter gear (hats, gloves, etc.) and my Vera Bradley suitcases which are not cheap, piggy bank(not expensive but its the principle and it was something I asked them to pack so it would arrive at my new home safely), and more than likely other items that I havent noticed missing yet (probably clothing). Since this discovery I havent been able to talk to someone at the company due to the weekend but first thing Monday morning I will be calling to see what they are going to do about the missing items and the car damage.On the customer service stand point of the delivery after a mishap with the bank not allowing thousands of dollars to be withdrawn in one go the drivers were told to stop unloading. Which would have been understandable except for the fact they were extremely overdue on there delivery so how about you just let them unload while we figure out the problem since you screwed up. Also after the move during the signing process the driver rushed me to sign the paperwork (probably knowing something wasnt right).**UPDATE Pt. 2: Just informed I will not be recieving any type of compensation because I didnt have receipts. If I would have kept them I would have gotten a check. But I wasnt told. SO KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS.....***UPDATE Pt. 3: Just received a letter regarding the claim for my missing items and damage to my car. They arent going to do anything. Guess I will be taking them to small claims court.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I should have listened to my new boss. She used ABF moving pods (which are cheaper and also have a company they work with for moving cars). Stupid me I wanted a company that would move both my belongings and car at the same time.....
