My tech was a nice fellow, called prior to arriving, wore a mask & booties over his shoes, etc., however, before entering my house I asked him if he was fully vaccinated, he replied no. When I asked why not, he said that his company didnt require it. I should have sent him on his way, but I didnt. Weve been in the midst of this pandemic for over a year & the unvaccinated are the reason it continues in such large numbers. Next time Ill ask for a tech who has been fully vaccinated or go with another company whose techs are vaccinated. Simply no good reason not to be.
We are so thankful that the company had a technician available to come out after-hours when we discovered leakage from our water heater. Technician, Brian, was so helpful, polite, sociable, and knowledgeable. He and another technician, Jody, came out the next morning and installed our new water heater. Thank-you both for your service! Billy was amazing. He was more then on time, he was early which I enjoyed. Gave us all available options and pretty much gave us a whole lesson on filters and how they work with your system. Jody Best was amazing. He called to let me know he was available earlier which worked perfectly. Jody was at my home within minutes and super courteous and informative. He walked me through what was wrong and how he needed to fix it and was up front with the pricing before beginning the fix. Totally reasonable pricing and I shopped around. He was so polite to my 2 year old daughter and made me feel so comfortable and confident in choosing Michael and Sons. Jody was in and out in no time and even sent me an estimate for if I want to replace my toilet bc it is super old. Came out and serviced AC that was not cooling. Said it needed Freon. Paid $950 for service. They left and AC still isn’t working. They came back out and said I need a new coil $2,800 plus labor. However, they are out of Coils so since it is August I should buy a &13k air conditioner. Unethical and a rip off!!! Stay far away!!
I always use Michael and Sons for my home projects. They are professional, follow good Covid protocols. And are on time, no having to wonder about the process. They use technology in a meaningful way that makes it easy for me. The price was.more than I expected to do a basic plumbing project. I had to pass.

Had to replace my water heater. Luke from Michael and Son was at my house in less than an hour from making the request. He was very knowledgeable, and walked through all the options with me. He offered to do the work the same day but I scheduled for the following day. Everything was very professional and he did an amazing job.

Prompt response when I called for an appointment. I got quotes for a variety of plumbing work. I decided to move forward with moving an outdoor spigot to a new location. The technician Luke was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Pricing is probably on the higher side. Quality of work was good, providing photographic images of the before and after work.

I contacted Michael & Son because my ceiling fan light in the Master Bedroom was not working. The fan was working fine but no power to the light. The receptionist at Michael & Son was most helpful and the service call was set up for June 8th.I received an immediate confirmation e-mail from Michael & Son and the day before the appointment a reminder e-mail.On Tuesday June 8th I received a phone call from the technician, Carlos, telling me he was on the way and he arrived at my home shortly thereafter. He quickly and expertly sized up the problem after testing the light switch and the light fixture bulb sockets. He advised me that the light needs to be replaced and suggested replacing the entire unit (Fan & Light.) He explained that Michael & Son did sell those units but after I purchase one, they would be glad to install it. He said he would have that in his service call report.Carlos explained the situation and was clear with what needed to be done. Throughout the service call he was very personable, efficient, and helpful. I’m most satisfied with his courtesy, knowledge, and professionalism. I will not hesitate to contact Michael & Son to have Carlos do the installation of the new unit.
Jody Best did more than just good work. He explained what was going on, made sure I was completely satisfied with the results. As I said to him, I became the proverbial Happy Camper because of his work.
I called Michael & Son on a Friday afternoon and explained that I had an emergency plumbing problem that I needed them to come and fix. This was the exact same issue that they came and repaired 1.5 years earlier. I was told they were not able to get someone out until the next day, which I wasn’t happy about but was understanding. The next day rolls around and the service gentleman came out within the window of time I was given. I was expecting the problem to be fixed but was told that no repairs could be done and was only given an estimate for repairs. I am now on day 3 of no running water at my home. I respectfully pointed out to the gentleman who came out that there is a yellow decal on the van that says: ‘servicing 24/7’. This simply is not true. I expect better service and do not plan on using them again.
Called to get my toilet disconnected temporarily to get flooring installed, guy first could not find my building, I stressed numbers are on the buildings, after having to spoon feed him where I am, where numbers clearly marked, I walked him up to my place. I asked how he was doing... nothing.. grunted. We rode up in elevator awkwardly as he was not friendly, from start I had bad feeling. To simply disconnect a toilet and reinstall after work, he was going to charge me 620! I said I wanted to speak to his manager about price, he said I could not do that. I said they you can go. I later called the company to complain, and they said a manager would call me to go over pricing. Havent heard from anyone. Found another company more reasonable and FRIENDLY too, figure that. Please do not use this company, they are a fraud!
Excellent service! No other Electrician services in the Charlotte or Concord area were able to accommodate our emergency. Carlos was very knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. He was able to tackle a big problem and had our electrical power back on in no time. Our breaker box was very old and malfunctioning. I needed a box installed in my ceiling so that I could install a pendant light I had bought online. The bracket just wasnt gonna fit with the hole that was in my ceiling and there was no electrical box there. I called on a Sunday afternoon with my sob story. Spoke with another company that wouldnt even quote me their dispatch fee without a full customer profile meaning they wanted all my info so they could market to me. I said no thanks, hung up, and called Michael & Son instead. These guys were transparent before I even gave them any of my info. I got text confirmation of my appointment which was great.Zachary came out the very next day (today) and took great care of me. He called before coming to the appointment, was prompt in arriving, installed the box, and was on his way in less than 30 minutes, at a reasonable price.I just bought this home a year ago but do have many planned improvements in mind. When I need an electrician in the future, I will be calling Michael & Son.

I used Devon to review issues with electrical system that had random outlets and lights not working. He diagnosed the problem and fixed. Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
Had a crack in 20 year old pipe from hot water tank, hot water tank was original tank when house built in 1999. Luke priced out the fix and explained probable reason for the crack/pinhole leak in pipe that was enclosed in the garage wall. Gave options to fix just the leaking area, to replace old storage/tank water heater or to replace with tankless water heater option. Gave pros and cons of each from price, longevity and answered questions we had. We went with tankless and Luke went ahead and removed and installed. It took all day but by the end of it we had hot water, piece of mind with a warranted new tankless hot water system. Appreciate Luke’s professionalism and willingness to install same day.
After installing our new tankless water heater, they have consistently checked in and done inspections. Turns out we had a faulty part that wasn’t working quite right. Brian ordered the part overnight and stayed in touch over the next day or two on timing for returning to install.
HVAC Tech Billy Cooper was terrific. He called prior and told me when he would arrive, was professional, patient, and extremely knowledgable. Billy answered all of my questions, and explained to me all aspects of the HVAC tune up and his findings. I found him to be honest, friendly, and a proficient HVAC professional.
Our Michael and Sons plumber was punctual, knowledgeable and professional. The toilet is no longer running continuously. Hurray! We have more work to be done, nothing needing immediate attention, so we will hear back about service requirements and pricing.

On 7/15/2021, Lal Zuala and Zo replaced an irreparably damaged, and possibly 100-year-old pipe, at my home. They called when they were on the way and arrived when they said they would. Despite the oppressively hot and humid day (and having to work in a crawl space that, undoubtedly smelled like sewage), they were always pleasant and professional even when I peeked outside, occasionally---but hopefully not too much--- to see how they (and the plumbing job) were progressing. For approximately 8 hours, Lal Zuala and Zo worked like a well-oiled machine: calling and responding to each other, alternating tasks (if someone needed to fetch a part off-site), and shuttling new and old pipe to and fro. They never complained about how difficult the job was, how smelly it was, how hot it was, or anything of the sort. They took one lunch break (which seemed far TOO short, to me) and devoted their entire time to the task at hand. I doubt they even took a personal call!When I learned that my job required an unexpected piece that was not included in my original estimate, Lal Zuala patiently explained the situation and my options. I was quickly able to identify the most economical and best choices for my needs due to his readily available pricing. In the end, Lal Zuala and Zo took the bad pipe from under my house and away with them (which I very much appreciated), replaced the soil around my flowerbed (which had been carefully set aside on a tarp), and completely cleaned up after themselves. When they were done, the only thing they left behind was a brand-new cleanout plug (and two incredibly happy customers).Over the past month, I have had nearly half a dozen repairmen to visit my home for various reasons. While all were good, those from Michael’s and Sons (both plumbing AND electric) were among the best. However, Lal Zuala and Zo, were exceptional. If I had to do all over again, I would definitely go with Michael’s Plumbing for the job AND would specifically request Lal Zuala and Zo, by name.

I called Michael & Son Plumbing at approximately 9:45 AM Sunday morning. I was assured a plumber would come that day to unclog the toilets, shower and tub that were all backed up in the Blakeney area of Charlotte, NC. They took my credit card info to charge $169 for an emergency/Sunday call. I received an email to confirm they would come between 6:00pm - 11:59 PM. Their dispatch operator said a tech may come before 6:00 pm, and in any case, would call 30 minutes before arrival. I advised her to call my tenant and gave her the number.My tenant called me at 12:40 pm, to ask for the plumbing companys phone number. He called them several times afterward to see if they would give him an arrival time. He called me Sunday night at 10:20 to tell me no one came ever came. When he called their office, he was told that a tech came to his house at 6:00 pm. There is a door bell and its a small ranch house and the family was home, expecting a plumber. No one came or called them. The lady at Michael & Sons office called their tech, who then said, they didnt come, but they called my number. I have caller I.D. and Voice Mail and no one called me. I was home all day. I also asked why they couldnt come before that night before 11:59 pm, per their email. She said they would not but would come at the house at 8:00 AM Monday. At 8:00 AM when they still had not arrived, I called their office. The dispatch said they had to go to their office to pick up equipment at 8:00 AM on Brookshire Blvd. The plumber finally arrived at 9:00 AM. unclogged the lines at the clean-out and charged $801. They wanted to put a camera in the sewer line and charge $1125. This business does not have 24/7 service and their employees make false claims about customers. This is unacceptable.

When I described the problem online and by phone I was quoted far lower pricing than when the service representative came to my home. Had I been quoted the same pricing I would NEVER have agreed to the service call. Now I am out the price of the service call and have received exactly no service. I feel 100% scammed. I am posting so that others will not fall for these unprofessional tactics.In addition, the service representative said we did not need to wear face coverings! This is not true, and a serious red flag for anyone entering our home.

Nice gentleman and nice shiny truck however after discarding the need for 1 repair and spending 3 mins looking at plug, he quoted me a cost >$230 to replace a plug with a ground connection.Feeling so gutted, feeling totally ripe off.How fast could I lose $69? Nothing was done, noting....!!! so guttedSometime you save a coffee $2.30 and there in a blink of an eye you spell over the equivalent of 30 in less than 3 mins!I knew there were a fee for dispatchment and I understand the principle somehow but was never expecting a such astronomical quote when by memory other can do for about $60 /$70.there is no other word1 edit, don’t be foul that the matter has been resolved with the prompt message sent here: I replied to the email below and still did not receive neither the quote by email neither heard back after 1 day. And this cost me $73,66 Gutted and fell rip off in broad day light
I had this company come out mid December to look at my Carrier AC unit, the unit was throwing a Code 179. 179 is most likely a faulty board. The first tech came out and had no ide what to do, so after 3 hours he said he would be back out the next day and will warranty all the boards since they are under Carrier warranty until JULY of 2023. I still got charged 90 for the truck fee.The next day I get a call saying another Tech is coming out to look at the system, I waited until my scheduled time and received a call saying the teach was going to be late and they needed to reschedule. That was finem I understand stuff happens.The next day I had been waiting for a teach to come out again to look at the boards,, I get a phone call again saying they were going to have to reschedule again. I told their dispatch I am not going to wait and I will call another company. Dispatch told me they would give me a call back in 10 minutes.I got a phone call 10 minutes later saying the tech would be to my house around 6pm.Tech arrived and looked at the unit and told me, they would not warranty the boards even under Carriers warranty as they did not install the work. He then proceeded to run other test and diagnostics. I asked the tech numerous times, where are we at in price while he was changing out parts to stuff. The reply I got was Im not going to charge you too much, it wont be that bad. He ended up running a new line, changing out the capacitor that was changed out the previous year. The system finally kicked on and he handed me the tablet with a bill for 800 dollars including another TRUCK fee. They are the ones who rescheduled due to the first tech not knowing the system. I ended up paying the 800 as it being 1am in the morning by the time the tech was done, and I had work in 4 hours.A week later the system is throwing the same code all over again. Outdoor unit system communication fault I called Carrier and let them know I had a company that was Carrier certified come out and look at the system. I was informed the system is in warranty until 2023 and this company should of warrantied the board without any issue. Now I am out 800 and I am going to have to have another company come out and look at the boards to warranty them. It has been running on heat strips for the last 2 weeks.
