Update 07/17/2021I would like to begin my review with this statement. Good customer service is when everything is going smoothly. Excellent customer service is when things are not going so well but your dealership goes the extra distance to make it right and is successful.My husband and I recently purchased a car on June 1, 2021. The Hendrick City Chevrolet dealership gave us a good deal. Nice car and it drove well. But within 30 days the car experienced some mechanical issues. Chevrolet stepped up to the plate and made all the repairs, performed a complete 28 points inspection and covered all the cost.But my husband and I made a decision to return the car in hopes of purchasing another one. Chevrolet could have told us an as-is used car is as-is but this is where they go the extra distance.Ebony Finch, VIP Exchange Manager for Hendrick City Chevrolet is amazing! She went over and beyond, was thorough, knowledgeable and used all her resources to find us a car that we would be happy with, a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox.We would like to thank all of the team members at Hendrick City Chevrolet who were involved. Nick S. Welcomed me to the dealership and politely and professionally listened to the type of vehicles I was interested in buying. I needed a truck and he showed me several Silverado models. He let me test drive an RST that I liked. He explained all the controls and options and answered all my questions. They did not have exactly what I wanted, but he built one that had everything I wanted and placed an order for me. It may take some time for it to m as manufactured and delivered but it will be well worth it to drive a truck that has everything I wanted.

Very friendly and professional staff but I took my car here for service for a 1:30 appointment. Got there 10 minutes early and it took a little while to get checked in, I asked how long it would take because I had somewhere to be in about 2 hours. The quote from service was “it’ll be all ready to go in a hour and thirty minutes tops” so I decided to just wait it out not call and uber and I could make it to my appointment on time. Over 3 hours later and the vehicle was still not completed and no sign of urgency from staff. Mind you I took it there for a simple code reading on a check engine light…that cost me $120 just to be looked at not even repaired (Chevy Product). Definitely a disappointing customer service experience.

My experience here at the beginning was fine. The people who set my deal up came in on a day off and did my paperwork. This rating is for the customer service afterwards. I asked the Finance Manager how to cancel warranties and GAP coverage. He told me to wait 2 months and he will reimburse it then (I assume for profit reasons on warranty sales). I was selling the truck I had just bought due to not liking it so I stated that this was not acceptable and I wanted it cancelled immediately. He went on to tell me he would talk with the Finance Director and be in touch the same day. I never heard from Garret after that, I called multiple times left multiple messages and still nothing heard. I did his job for him by finding out all the necessary documents and who to send them to. This is unacceptable and unprofessional in my eyes. I also found out this dealer will up your APR to take more profit so if you want honesty and integrity it doesnt exist here. I know the APR was pushed higher because one week later I financed somewhere else with the same credit score through GM Financial and it was 1.5% lower than it was through this store. I will never shop here again and I advise others to take their money elsewhere.

This was the SMOOTHEST new car purchase experience I have ever had! Chris Sykes was my sales rep who explained all my options very clearly, made suggestions based on what I told him I was looking for….NO pressure but Excellent customer service and went above and beyond to move everything along as timely as possible. He followed up with me a couple days afterward to make sure that I “loved” my new Blazer. I have already recommended going to Chris @ City Chevrolet to a family member and friend. In the finance department Nicholas Grilli did an excellent job going over everything with me, and made signing finance papers an enjoyable experience. I was in a very tough spot. I bought a Chevy from Scott Clark 02/2021. By July, the head gasket cracked and wasnt covered under warranty. The car was worthless. Jeremy and Andy worked with me and gave me double my trade in and the best rebates they could find me. All of this was so unexpected, I didnt have access to my cash right away. While they waited 5 days for the wire transfer, they let me take the car as a loaner. This helped me out so much. I didnt have to miss anymore work. They worked with me in the finance department as well. I wasnt in the mood to buy another warranty. I had been burned. They gave me a great price on a new warranty. I know they are salesmen, but I could tell they cared more than most. I would definitely recommend this dealership. Thanks guys!!

I brought my car in for a nail in my tire. When the service team said it would be a 3 hour wait since I didnt have an appointment, they offered a shuttle to take me home! Of course, when they brought me home, I realized I had left my house keys with the vehicle. The driver offered to take me back to the dealership to get them and bring me home again. Luckily, my roommate was on the way home with their house key, so they driver didnt have to do that. When they called to tell me my car was done, since the shuttle guy was in Concord, they ordered me a Lyft so that I could come and pick up my vehicle. Fast, friendly, efficient service! They definitely went above and beyond.

I had my rear passenger window broken into. Tory Hartley and her team took great care of me from the time they received my truck from the towing agency, quick turn around and coordinating delivery. My appointment was at 10:00am for my first 5,000 oil change, fluids and tire rotation. I arrived at 9:55am. I stood outside my car for 10-15 minutes waiting for one of the service reps to acknowledge me. Then I was told it would be 1 1/2 hours. I said I would wait. 2 hours later no sign of my car. When I approached a service rep he said 15 more minutes. One hour later my car was ready. 3 hours total. I owned a Cadillac for ten years and never experienced anything like this. I hope my next service at Hendricks City Chevrolet is a more satisfying experience because my car is under warranty.

Two words... Tim Dobbins. I called inquiring about a 2021 chevy tahoe. I had called many other dealerships throughout the week only to be told the ones in transit are already sold or some crazy market adjustment on the pricing. Tim answered and said well I think it may be sold but Let me check. Them 3 works right there is what made the difference. He could have said nope its sold and went along with his day. He puts me on hold, checks the computer and sure enought it was available. Now being in sales for the last 20yrs myself this made the difference. Them 3 little words and 60 seconds sold a vehicle. I live in Oklahoma City, so the dealership is 18hr drive. After talking to Tim and feeling confident that he actually cares I put down a deposit and had a one way ticket booked to your dealership to purchase and drive this vehicle back. From the first time I talked to him on the phone to the time he thanked me for my business before pulling off I knew he was a genuine person. So many others probably would have just assumed it was sold. This goes to show that taking your time with every lead and following through can make the difference from closing a new deal to hoping another good lead comes your way. I am super late. But I bought a used car and after a couple days had some issues with it. I went back up there and the the service station and they fixed it immediately. I had help from Rene Yanes. He was awesome! Very friendly, made me feel comfortable. He had me in and out of there. Oil change due soon. Hope to deal with you again.

Reservation was made online with make and model of car and services needed. When arrived service people checked in others first that arrived after me. Then we were told that no air filter was available, even though reservation was made 4 days earlier. Then service guy called and said we needed shocks all around. This car has about 25k miles on it so shocks should not be needed. Plus when we bought the car about 4 months ago it was checked pre and post purchase for repairs needed or any issues. Both shops said car was clean and needed nothing. Also we were “offered” $55 windshield wipers, as one could conclude by the year and mileage of the car this not a daily driver and not driven in rain and bad weather. Once we paid for the oil change the service guy pointed to the general direction of where the car was. They did not walk my wife to the car or bring it around for her, which is how other dealerships operate. Not a good experience overall—probably won’t be back.

Chris Morgan was great to work with. He stayed in touch throughout the process and made everything quick and easy for me. This is my second purchase through City Chevrolet and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I had to use my warranty on my first vehicle and the mechanic said it was the best warranty service he’s dealt with.

He also explained about the 10 percent off, and printed out a preliminary detailed report, which showed the fees for processing the car. He also answered all questions that I had. City Chevy in Charlotte NC was a pleasure to work with, there was not one issue with what was promised and what was delivered. They actually were ahead of schudule on times promised and everything went smoothly.Before I made my choice as to what dealer I was going to purchase my corvette from I spent two months speaking with dealers across the U S.When I spoke with the corvette manager I knew they were going to keep their word and not play games with me. I almost made a wrong choice a couple of times but I just felt the dealer was telling me what I wanted to hear. If you are considering the purchase of a corvette they are a safe choice.

I was looking on Autotrader for a new truck and happened to find the one I wanted that was already in transit to the dealership. I live in NY and could not physically see the truck so Jeremy sent me many pictures and gave me daily updates on the status of the truck. Jeremy also sent me all of the required paperwork ahead of time so I could have everything signed prior to my pick up date. Easy, financing was hassle free. Just wish I was able to negotiate price on truck some. Salesman was nice and easy to deal with,

1. I could not communicate with the service department. I call the service number and it ends up going to an answering machine. I leave a message but no one ever calls me back. Finally, late in the day, I go through the chat on the website and they connect me to the service department. This was very frustrating since I had dropped my vehicle off the night before and I could not make sure the service department understood what I wanted done. On top of that, the service manager I made the appointment with was off, so there was a total loss of message of what I wanted done.2. When I made the appointment, I was very specific about what I wanted done. Instead, the whole day was spent on a vehicle inspection that only told me about issues I already knew about. Therefore there was no time left to do what I had originally brought the vehicle in for. I have been working on cars for more than 45 years. I brought the vehicle in because I did not have time to do the repairs. Instead it cost me $ 119.00 for diagnostics for things I already knew about and I still did not get my repair done that I originally brought the vehicle in for.The lack of a communication means, the fact that I did not get the work done I brought the vehicle in for, and the fact that it cost me extra for work I did not ask for made me very disappointed and frustrated with my experience. I had brought my vehicle in to City Chevrolet because I wanted quality work that would be done quickly. I got the opposite instead.Update: I was promptly contacted by the Service Manager about my recent experience at City Chevrolet Service Department. He listened to my complaint and asked what could be done to make it right. My money was refunded and we talked at length about the need for the customer and service manager to be able to speak when needed. He fully understood my view point and promised to make the needed changes. While City Chevrolet may have failed on servicing my vehicle, I applaud them on wanting to make it right and listening to my viewpoint as a customer versus trying to explain why the failures happened. He wanted to make things right based on my feedback. This is what I am looking for in the way of customer service. I will be glad to give City Chevrolet Service another chance based on this value on feedback and working for continuous improvement of their customer service.

I really hate having to write this, however it needs to be said. I found a truck I liked online (car gurus) that was listed at City Chevrolet for a certain number. I made an appointment for the second morning afterwards to look at the truck. Showed up, meet the salesman, drove it and loved it. Asked the price and it had gone up $1500 miraculously. Strike one. I let the salesman do his job and show me numbers, talked to one of the sales managers and we were just too far apart so I left. Jason (another one of the sales managers) emailed me about my experience and I told him everything was great minus the price going up overnight and he fed me some story about having to put it though service, which in my opinion shouldn’t that already be done before a price is listed online? He said to let him work the numbers and he’d get it back to that number I saw if I was a buyer, to which I said hey I’m working out of town until Monday evening, we can do it all Tuesday (which is today 8/31). The salesman called me to ensure the truck was still there and to do a credit application online. I only do these when I am 100% sold and ready to purchase as I know I’m a tier 1 lender & hate having it ran constantly.Runs the app, shows me numbers and term and we agree on a number. Asked about a non refundable deposit which they don’t accept to hold it until I could get there. Told them I could be there this afternoon to do paperwork and just pick it up in the morning when I had a ride to drop me off. Salesman text me on my way there that they sold the truck. I called to let JASON know, to never call me or have anyone else from a Hendrick dealer call to sell me anything ever again (which I know doesn’t affect them in any way). And I will be sure that anytime anyone ask me where to purchase a vehicle, that they too will hear this experience. Literally, go anywhere else and buy a vehicle with people who actually give a damn.Jake Miller

I called the dealership to speak with the Manager two days after my appointment, and I left a voicemail. However, no one called me back. I haven’t enjoyed my experiences at this dealership. My last visit took 3 hours with an appointment, and I had to check on why there was a delay when it hit 2 hours. After three hours, my car was finally ready. I was there for an oil change. I got into my car, and there was no next oil change mileage sticker. I went back in to retrieve it. My last oil change also took a long time, and two weeks later my low oil indicator was on. The service department did not reset my settings when they changed my oil, and they did not put a new sticker in my vehicle. I had to come back to the dealership a few weeks later, and have them confirm my oil was actually changed. I bought my car at Hendrick Chevy in Cary, NC. When I go for maintenance at that dealership, once you pull into the garage a representative comes to your vehicle and greets you. They inspect the car with you, and walk with you to the waiting room. If the car won’t be ready in a timely manner, they update you quickly. They also offer a complimentary car wash. I typically don’t experience any thing like that at Rick Chevy. I always have to find a representative to check in, and call to ask about the delay. Please consider refining your process. I used a lot of my time waiting, which was unexpected. A simple update or letting me know that you are behind up front can help.

Unbelievable experience. I walked in and met Mark first off. I was not attacked at the cars, this team of professionals believes that people control their own experience. Explained what I was looking for, the car I requested had already been sold (if you see it get down there pronto). He asked for must haves and delivered. He brought THE car I described, we test drove did paperwork and we were out the door. All this was done with an amazing 8 year old in tow so that can tell you how unbelievably efficient this process was. Highly recommend this team from Mark to Nick it was seamless and a cumbersome process was made easy.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Especially the sales representative Devin Gastelum! I had the pleasure of working with him and the whole process went flawlessly! He was prompt and he answered any question I had in a timely manner. Devin shows that he truly cares about his job and more importantly he shows that he cares about the customer. He called me everyday(Even when he was off work) all the way up to the day of my purchase to let me know what was going on. He was able to get me approved on my dream truck and I couldn’t be happier with the whole process. Devin is a stand up guy and it shows!
