Linzie took wonderful care of me at Lordis! She was super friendly, had great conversations, and did a great job on bringing my hair back to life! Will definitely be returning and appreciate such kind hospitality!

This was my first time getting my hair colored. Kayla was amazing. She took the time to really figure out what was best, listened to my concerns, calmed my nerves and blended the perfect blend of color, attempting to match my natural red to the best of her ability. It looks beautiful, natural, fresh and vibrant. I am very happy with the result and have received so many compliments from friends and family. Denise has done my hair for years. She is amazing! She is so fun, patient, thoughtful and kind. She doesn’t just whip through a haircut. She takes the time to make sure it’s exactly what you want so you leave in love with your hair. I completely trust her! She is an absolute professional and takes care of you. Lordis Loft Salon is more than just a place to get a hairstyle. It’s such an incredible experience. It’s like going to Halls over Outback for a steak. Absolutely fantastic experience here! I worked with Tara, and I can say confidently it was the best haircut Ive had in any recent memory. She was patient and helped me figure out what would look best with a new style I wanted to try. She was thorough and clearly cared about the details, the fading, etc. that most just skip over. Furthermore, the Salon was very clean, everyone was kind, and they had the amenities you dont get at Barber shops. Professionalism was clearly the name of the game here. It was an above-and-beyond experience at, frankly, a relatively standard price for a mens haircut around Charleston. Check. It. Out! - Very much a hidden gem right on lower King Street!

All the hair dressers do a great on my hair! I have been going there 7 years! I would never go to any other salon! They always get them to do my makeup for parties! I buy all my products there also! Their shampoo is better than the one my doctor told to use for scalp! It is the best place to go in Charleston!

Denise and Michelle were very kind! Denise did a great job with my hair and was so fun to talk to! Michelle was very nice and was very willing to help me get the best service possible! Great place, admittedly a little pricey if you’re getting multiple services but also everything in Charleston is a little pricey! I’d say it was worth it though!

I am so impressed! I have been getting my hair done since I was in middle school. I’ve had my hair colored a hundred times and I unfortunately ALWAYS find something to complain about due to the stylist not listening to what I wanted or it not turning out at all how I pictured. Therefore, because of my past and mixed reviews, I was very nervous walking in to my appointment where I planned to take my light/medium brown hair to blonde. I worked with Tara explaining to her what I wanted. My mind is blown!! I have, for the first time ever, no negative comment about the turnout of my hair. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Thank you so much Tara, I will definitely be returning.

The staff here is extremely professional and accommodating to your schedule and any hair needs. I got my hair dyed and extensions with them and being a runner accidentally yanked one of the extensions and they were incredible of getting me back in- free of cost - to get it fixed! Am extremely thankful to have found this spot and will only be going to them in the future!

I have been going to this salon for a decade. Linzie the owner is professional, caring, and always does amazing work. I never have to stress when I am being taken care of by her team. I refer everyone to her from top executives to neighbors and friends. I know she will treat everyone right. Her salon is clean, friendly and welcoming. During Covid and now her team follows guidelines and I feel safe going there. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my beauty and spa needs!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this salon! I saw Linzie for the first time and she was AMAZING! Not only was she incredibly nice but took sooo much time with me to know exactly what I wanted and talk about what would look best on me. I usually get my hair highlighted and cut and sometimes a toner on it. She got the tone and color absolutely PERFECT for my skin tone!My husband has regularly complimented my hair since I got my hair done at Lordis Loft Salon and he has not noticed my hair in years!!! He just randomly keeps telling me how nice it looks! I am so grateful for such a fantastic experience and also grateful for a new salon to call home.

I love Aveda. This was my first time at this location and I will be coming back! I had Tara she was so nice and professional! She did my balayage/highlights and did an amazing cut. We cut a lot of length with some long layers in the front. So nice having some time to relax and have a coffee!

Linzie is one of the most professional stylists I’ve ever experienced! I scheduled an appointment for special occasion hair and makeup for my son’s wedding. She asked great questions about what I wanted and provided her own suggestions, too. My hair is short but she was able to create an updo that held perfectly!! As for the makeup application, it was beautiful and I might now be an Aveda fan. Linzie created a perfectly flawless finish on my “mature” skin.Linzie’s talent is matched by her kindness. She made me feel special!!!

I made an appointment while I was on vacation in Charleston, and it was superb! They were busy with a wedding party but fit me in and were on time. Michele greeted me by asking if I wanted anything to drink before my massage and made me a cup of hot tea before I left. The person giving the massage was awesome—and I’ve done numerous massages. Would definitely go back. Had an excellent experience and would highly recommend them.

Conastee did a house call for a spray tan for me and was amazing. She was so friendly and professional and walked me through the whole service seeing as it was my first time getting a spray tan. After this experience it definitely won’t be my last. The tan looks amazing, isn’t streaky, and didn’t break my face out at all, despite having acne prone skin.

I just got my first haircut in Charleston, and I’m so glad I found the best place on my first try! Linzie was so helpful and amazing! I came in with a vague idea and a single picture, and she made sure I was included and informed at every step of the process. I felt in control and secure because she verified that I liked what was happening at every stage. The atmosphere was amazing and all of the stylists made me feel beautiful and cool and very much in my moment! By far my best hair experience!

My first visit with Jen was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly personable and made the time fly by when I was in her chair. The end results were excellent as she revived my blonde after months of not visiting a salon due to COVID.The salon itself is very clean, trendy, and I had a nice view of King Street.Fast forward and I book my second appointment for the King Street location. I use the online appointment system - received a call from Michelle(sp?) morning of the appointment. I gave a call back to confirm the appointment and am told, “Yes, we will see you at 2pm.” I then reiterated that I received a call and would like to have my appointment actually reviewed to make sure all was well. I was then told that the online system allowed for an overbooking during that same time and was offered to reschedule or switch service providers. (Voicemail to confirm) I confirmed I was unavailable for the remainder of the day and was only interested in being serviced by Jen. I had to reiterate four times that I would like to be refunded and would book Jen when we were both available again. Michelle asked me multiple questions such as, “Have you had a bad previous experience with other stylists?” And, “No, no, no, we need to speak about this” when I asked for a refund until I could schedule again. Next, I was heavily persuaded to use another stylist by saying, “Well, that’s just a shame because ‘name of another stylist’ is great and you should give her a chance.’ I finally told her to process the refund and asked how many times is needed for me to say I had a great time with Jen and only would like her to perform the service. I understand wanting to keep business, however, the tone that was used and the additional, pointed questions felt aggressive and off putting. I thought about giving my feedback to the owner but let it go as it only happened once - perhaps a bad day?Booked an appointment for today and woke up to another voicemail from Michelle. The voicemail actually says, “Pleasure to speak with you again. I thought we went over this last time but again, Jen no longer works for our company. The owner is willing to do it for you.”1. If a stylist no longer works for your company, please tell customers.2. During the first cancellation, no, I was not told that Jen was no longer at their location. I would have not booked again - why was I given an option to reschedule over the phone last time? (Two days ago) Was Michelle going to place me with someone else without my knowledge?3. Please be more courteous and transparent. Integrity goes a long way. I would have tried another stylist if I had originally known Jen would not be an option there whatsoever. Instead, I will try another at Canvas as I do not feel comfortable going back to Lordis after being talked down to twice now by the same representative.4. Update the website/booking option so that stylists do not show up who no longer work for you.I wish this company the best - it is beautiful.*Note: I do not leave negative reviews. If you go to this salon and continue to have great experiences, I am envious.

I would absolutely recommend Lordis Loft. Jessica cut and styled my hair and it was hands down the best hair cut Ive ever received. She listened so well to what I was looking for, checked in to make sure throughout the cut that I was okay with the length, and advised me on a much better product routine for my hair. Im looking forward to returning!

I visited Lordis today for the first and last time with my two daughters. We have always used Aveda salons, this was not our first experience just our first time at this salon. We got there at 10:30 AM and did not leave until 5 PM. The girls that did our hair were very nice and pleasant. When we were checking out and they told us that my daughter’s hair cost her $585 after the suggested 20% tip, I can say that we were nothing less than shocked! My hair cost $444. This was just for a single color full head foil and haircut. This was just a normal salon with nothing extra and nothing fancy. Again we have been to Aveda salons throughout the country and have never paid these outrageous prices. Quotes were not given prior to service and we were completely caught off guard! We were given coffee when we first arrived and sat for a very long time waiting for our services. One of my daughters was not offered anything to drink until after her services were complete. When my daughter finished she had bleach all down the back of her dress which they did reimburse us for before we left.I would not recommend this salon as the prices did not fit the service. Other Aveda salons we’ve been to the tip was already included with the price and we were always given hand massages as well as temple massages before shampooing.With the length of time this took and the price that we paid we could’ve gotten this done at any salon paying half the price. This was truly a very disappointing day and completely unnecessary money spent. We have all had better cuts and colors at other salons in the past and paid so much less. I could have had the same if not better service at any other spa/salon. Don’t waste your hard earned money.

This is BY FAR the best experience (both outcome and customer service) that Ive had with hair color and cut. I found the salon to repair a terrible box color that I applied during COVID. I had my hair corrected naturally (no chemicals) and have been back a few times since. I cannot say enough about owner care for their customers and how much time and effort goes in. They will go to great lengths to ensure that you are treated like the most important person theyve seen all day and will take as much time as needed to be sure you leave not only with exactly what you wanted, but also with healthy hair and a care regimen moving forward.

I have been having my hair foiled, cut, and styled by Lindsay for three years. I receive many compliments on my cuts and my hair color. Each experience has been positive. The atmosphere from the time you enter is professional. The concierge /hostess immediately acknowledges clients arrival with a smile. They have always let me know if my appointment is on time, or at times, may be running a little late giving me the estimated time… Never more than 10 minutes, which is quite common at Salon’s because they want to achieve the outcome that is satisfying to each customer. I feel that Lordis Loft is comparable to Aveda salons throughout the country, (I was an executive for Macys and traveled throughout the US) and prices have always been within a few dollars. Plus I try to remember how great I will look when it’s finished! I have always enjoyed my time spent with Linzie finding her very knowledgeable in her profession and very patient. I have experienced her patience when I am undecided as to what I would like done to my hair. I have had a time a time or two when I have done my own hair afterwards and found that I needed a small adjustment. Linzie has made this willingly with no additional cost. With Covid regulations a few of the extra benny’s have had to be eliminated. But has been filled with the kindness of their hospitality, the laughter and great conversation that has been needed for many of us during this difficult time.

Fantastic from the start.! Highly recommend:) Michelle (I hope I spelled it right) is very friendly, I was hesitant to speak to any more front desk workers because of so many other places were really short with me, but he’s so nice, which made it very easy to talk to him. Lindsay did my hair for 7 hours and some change.! She’s wonderful and made the whole 7 hours entertaining. She walked me step by step on what she’s doing, and never got frustrated or impatient with me the whole time doing my hair.

I rushed in at 6pm on a Friday panicking because the salon Id made an appointment with a half hour earlier lost power and canceled all their appointments. Linzie was an absolute angel. She sat me down right away and gave me a hair wash, conditioning treatment, and blow out. I have very thick, textured, frizzy hair, and the next morning I was celebrating my two year anniversary. They completely saved me from looking bad in my photos. It doesnt sound like a big deal, but it was important to me! I will absolutely be going back. My hair looks and feels wonderful, the price was reasonable, and they were so accommodating and friendly.

After a thoroughly delightful consultation over the phone with Michel, I was able to get in to see Linzie unexpectedly quickly. I had had a grand time with fashion coloring my strawberry blonde hair during Corona Craziness, but was more than ready to return to some semblance of my real hair. Linzie knocked it out of the galaxy by doing 2 single processes and a glaze on my hair. She took every moment necessary to ensure that I was happy every step of the process. We decided to go darker than my original color and it personifies the perfect Fall shade. Cannot wait to go back! 😍

Absolutely perfect!! I went here for a manicure/pedicure and it was by far the best service I have ever received! Stephanie is so good at what she does and really works to not only give you top quality service but to get to know you and what your nails and skin need to be restored to their true underlying beauty. My nails and surrounding skin have never felt healthier! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the polish selection was top notch. The atmosphere in the salon itself was tranquil and just what I needed to relax. I will definitely be back for the different spa services Stephanie mentioned during my visit (like massages and facials) and already booked my next nail appointment with her. I highly recommend scheduling a nail appointment with Stephanie! Her work is truly amazing.

Wonderful Experience!!!!We asked Lordis Loft to do the bride and wedding partys hair and makeup for my daughters wedding November 2016 at the Loris Loft. They graciously opened the salon to all of us (17 people!!!), accommodated every bridesmaids wish for hair and makeup and made us all feel so special the afternoon of the wedding. The coordinator kept us all on time and helped make everyone feel welcome! Lacey did an amazing job with the my daughters hair (the bride) and makeup as well as mine! It was a very lovely day for all of us and we are so grateful that everyone at Lordis Loft made us look and feel very beautiful for this special day! I strongly recommend anyone plan their wedding event with them! Everyone at the Salon did a beautiful job of up-dos, makeup, and blow drys on all of us!

This salon is Charlestons best! Alana did my friends hair and it was truly stunning!

Dana is magic. Well worth the drive downtown! I love the head massage she starts with (shes an awesome massage therapist, too!)...it puts you in a trance. The whole experience is so relaxing and the cut is always spot on. I have good hair days for a week after I see her. Shes also great about recommending products and explaining them without being a pushy salesman. I absolutely recommend her!

Went in for an impromptu manicure and foot massage for my boyfriend. Stephanie took us right away and was great, fun to talk to and she had a lot of helpful tips on keeping my nails healthy! The space is wonderful, really pretty and calming decor. Definitely worth a trip!

I went in for a blonde balayage and ended up not loving it, no fault of Linzie. It just wasnt me, so when I went back the next day asking to have it fixed, she and Michelle went out of their way to fit me in the schedule. I asked for a medium copper to cover up the blonde. It turned out so beautiful! I couldnt be happier!

I love Aveda and I was so excited to find an Aveda salon in Charleston, SC. Alana was the stylist that cut my hair and died it and we spent 3-4 hours doing the style of my liking. She made me feel comfortable and discussed openly about my life and my marriage with my husband there next to me to only find out that Alana the stylist doing my hair for 3-4 hours, asking about how long I’ve been with my husband, how our relationship was? And all about my career, actually knew my husband and had a sexual relationship with him while we were married in the past. This was also my husbands fault (which I’ve dismissed) but the fact that I thought I could trust someone with my hair and my life stories at that moment was incredibly unprofessional, ridiculous, and honestly DISAPPOINTING! As for this review, I will never go back to this salon and as a recommendation I would NEVER book an appointment with Alana. God knows I will never again. It was either this review or me booking an appointment face to face with her... I chose the review. Any real women with a husband would understand this post and if not maybe one day you will.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I came in about 6 weeks ago and got a Botanical Skin Resurfacing for Radiant Skin...BEST THING EVER!!! Linzie was AMAZING!! She recommended some Aveda products which I am so glad I bought; my skin is so beautiful now!I had such a great experience I scheduled a Deep tissue massage for a few days later! I forget who my masseur, but SHE WAS AMAZING was! Best massage I have ever received.Most spas down town are a rip off and not worth the $$$$ you spend. Lordis is very reasonable priced and the service is absolutely amazing!! I will never go anywhere else when I am back in Charleston!

Two girlfriends and I were visiting Charleston and looking for a place to get the works done - massage, facials, mani/pedis, blowouts, all of it - and we looked for some place reasonably priced. Lordis was centrally located, priced below most other spas we checked, and offered the services we wanted, so we booked it.They treated us so well! They were very accommodating with the schedule, working it all out so we didnt have to wait too long between treatments, and the spa area is well separated from the salon, so there was no bleed-through of noise or aroma.The spa rooms were warm but not too warm, the music was calming, the massage was transcendent, the firming facial was very soothing and still has my face looking firmer days later, my nails still look great, and Im trying to figure out a way to get back to Charleston to do it all over again!Jaclyn, Alana, Alexis, the wonderful woman who did the facials but I didnt catch her name, the lovely lady behind the counter, they were all just terrific, and so sweet and attentive. I cant recommend them all highly enough!

A few friends and I came to Lordis Lofts downtown location last Saturday to get manicures as part of a bachelorette party. The space is beautiful and the employees are very friendly. The manis/pedis are held in a back room where the group of 4 of us could sit together and even bring our own mimosas - great touch!However, we booked 4 shellac manis and were given regular polish even after verifying on the phone twice beforehand. This is partly my fault - I also forgot to ask about it when we had arrived and were picking out polish. As there were only two stations for manicures and we were quoted an hour for a manicure, I booked 2 manicures at 2pm and 2 manicures at 3pm. The second nail technician did not start on my nails until 2:45, already pushing us way back on time. We did not leave the salon until around 5:15pm. Thankfully we didnt have solid plans for afterwards so we didnt run into timing issues but we were a little annoyed with how long it took.Additionally, a nail dryer was only offered to 2/4 of us. As we didnt have enough time to sit and let our nails dry before we had to leave, 2 of us had smudged nails immediately and all of our nails continued to chip already that evening. In addition, I feel they could have done a better jobs on our cuticles.Overall, the place is beautiful and Im sure it is great as a hair salon but SKIP if youre looking to get your nails done, its not worth it.

Sarah Widener is a magician and as long as I live in Charleston Ill be one of her most devoted clients.The receptionist offered me a delicious cup of hot tea while I waited. The salon is clean, nicely decorated and calming.As a sidenote: I had a terrible experience earlier this year that cost lots of time and money ($230+, 6 hours, all over blonde as opposed to a nice sun kissed balayage, and hair that looked like a 5-year old cut it with safety scissors) and left me hating my hair and not wanting to look at my reflection. Seriously, I wore my hair up for over a month, even at home with my husband.I have long, wavy hair and Sarah did an amazing job of blending the layers Id been given into a haircut that I no longer hated and in fact LOVED!!!Shes amazing and I am sending my husband to her, my mother when she comes to visit and I am debating going shorter just to have her cut my hair again. I truly cant say enough good things about her. 💖**I totally recognize that in the grand scheme of things not liking my hair is a supremely insignificant problem to have and it still sucked.

First time i had to come in i was wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses to hide the tears- i had to see Mrs.Dana - she was highly recommended by a friend as The Best Hair Colorist in Charleston!.... my friend is from the upper crust wealthy old Chas family- usually flies to NYC for cuts and color, however, when in Chas - Mrs.Dana is the only one she trusts her hair to...Long story short- Mrs.Dana Saved My Hair!!!!She Repaired the damage done by the Owner of another Chas Salon which will remain unnamed and i was a Convert!....Over the years i only see Mrs.Dana and i am Constantly getting compliments on my hair! People just ask if those are Highlights or a Naturally Sun Kissed Hair?... She truly is the best....Mrs.Dana always does such a good job on my cut and color!She listens to what I want and delivers!!! She is Super caring and very knowledgeable about the whole Aveda line... and she is a Color Goddess in my book...Mrs.Dana has also became a Licensed Massage Therapist - yey!!!!Her massages are Truly Amazing! She really has a Magic Touch that just knows what your body needs- simply Brilliant!!I have had some very exclusive massages in various SPAs around the world- hers are on par with the best of them.It is All About Touch!....I agree with the other reviewer- she does have magic hands!I cant believe someone would say anything mean about Mrs.Dana- she is such a Sweetheart and A Gem of a Person!!!!I would be forced to fly to see her if she d ever moves from Charleston! I recommended this salon for my daughter cause I thought Aveda products are terrific!... Well.... That was the only highlight :((((First of all, the stylist Dana had a bad attitude and was very condescending at times. I am surprised that she is working there.... I never had bad experience before that with any other stylists (love Carly and Lacy) but this time it was really not what this place is all about. Someone said in the review that she is a good masseuse..... Omg... So not true!!! If you are looking for some back aches, then by all means, go there. And hair..... If you want to wear a baseball hat for the summer, please go to Dana.... Doesnt know what the heck is she doing.... But the Aveda never disappoints with quality of products... For that I give my star.... And I will make sure to never take my daughter to Dana ever, if we will return to the salon. Carly, a cute blonde who is adorable and always upbeat is my recommendation and Lacy... Always has great hear that girl, love her! Dont waste your time or money on Dana.

I couldnt say more positive things about this salon and the owner, Linzie. I have been searching for YEARS to finally find the person who could achieve the super natural, not overly bleached and super chunky blonde highlight look I have always desired. Linzie takes the time to look over multiple pictures with you, she talks you through every step of the process, and she is a master with color. She takes detailed notes about the processes she does with your hair and takes the time to prepare herself to talk to you before you even come in to familiarize herself with you and see if you want to stick with what you have or make any sort of changes. I recently got a haircut with her and was debating to put in long layers. When I finally decided to keep it all one length, she so sweetly told me that if I changed my mind in the next week, just to pop in and she would be happy to put them in for me. This salon goes above and beyond to make sure you are 100% happy with your services and to top it all off, this is BY FAR the most reasonably priced Aveda salon I have EVER been to! I appreciate her attention to detail and the way she makes you feel like a top client and will be going to Linzie at Lordis Loft until Im in the grave! haha

Aveda products are my favorite. After moving away from my favorite Aveda spa in Summerville, I thought Id try Lordis Loft downtown. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage and a 60 minute facial. The facial was pretty standard -- nothing special. I was more disappointed with the massage. The massage room was VERY cold. They needed a space heater or something. I shivered through the whole massage. I requested a deep tissue and reminded my therapist of this during the appointment but received light to medium pressure. As a bit of a massage expert (at least at receiving them), this massage was a total bust. Also, it was difficult to relax during the massage because the upbeat pop music from the front of the retail part of the store was blaring so loud that it was much louder than the tranquil music playing in the massage room. I disliked this spa and dont feel like they are a good representation of the Aveda brand. I will not be back.

Not sure the beautician is the most skilled Ive ever visited. My eyelash tint is pretty light on for only a week since being done .. should take 4 weeks min to look so washed out.
