I came here in September the day before my wedding with my sisters and mom, and we all had a great experience. The owner welcomed us with wine, and was very accommodating. She was sweet and funny, joking around with my mom and keeping things moving. My nail tech was very careful but efficient, and my nails have never been more beautifully shaped! The inside of the salon is also very nice and modern, making it an enjoyable experience to be there. This place was an important and happy part of my wedding weekend and I would recommend them for sure!

I dropped in and only had to wait for 15 min or less. Lin was very kind and professional. She talked with me and explained what she was doing as she worked. I really enjoyed the experience. The only issue is they charge an additional fee for nail shapes other than square.

Very good service BUT the owner is mean she is not nice ... I wanted to give the tips to the girls through my credit card and the owner says it’s not possible..... only cash ... and I said I don’t have any cash with me and she says... the girls lost the tips they won’t have any tips ... that’s it ?? Unbelievable that the owner can’t transfer the money to them

Very clean, professional staff, welcoming. Sometimes a short wait but the staff is quick to offer wine / water/ soft drinks.

The staff at East Bay Nails is the best !! I’ve been a customer for over seven years and never had a bad experience. They go over and beyond to give you top notch service. The salon has recently been remodeled and looks fantastic!!!

Great job with fingers & toes but quite expensive compared to what I am used to paying in Atlanta. But if you need your nails done in Charleston, I can certainly recommend it.

I would give them 10000 stars if I could! My nails ALWAYS come out beautiful looking exactly how I want but to be honest, that’s not the best thing about this place. The owner, Nina, is the most down to earth woman. She takes care of you and makes you feel welcome and at home. She is amazing and I will always support her and her family by coming here! Her kids are adorable and I love when they’re there. They are the cutest little helpers. Also - their recent renovations look BEAUTIFUL! I’ve been coming here for years and realized I’ve never left a review. Shame on me for not doing that sooner!

Jada did absolutely amazing on my nails! I wasnt sure if anyone would be able to do ombré nails with the dip powder, but she went above and beyond! Ive been to a few other places locally, and I havent always had the best results. She took her time, and was very professional. I will definitely be back!

No wonder they are rated best in Charleston a few years in a row! My cuticles have never looked better and I’m from New York. This nail salon is top notch. We were seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. The salon was about 1/2 full. I got a manicure and so did my mother. My sister got a pedicure. They have a good selection of colors, the ladies are friendly, and my nails came out amazing! I can’t wait to come back.

These ladies always do an excellent job. Love that they offer beverages including wine!

I went to a competitors salon for my wedding day, and was sorely disappointed. I actually anticipated they would need a Jack hammer to un-do the damage from the other salon. The day after my wedding, I came here to get my nails soaked off it was so bad. I was greeted by Gabby immediately, who I later learned was an acting manager at the time, and was immediately sat and serviced. I saw her deal with three other clients professionally and made me feel at ease. After soaking for forever, Anna got to town on my nails. Wow. What a magician. She restored them to better than their original beauty even after stripping the dip/gel combo and sander job the competitor ruined my nails with. I was so impressed. I’m not in Charleston often, but have many friends who are transplants and will be recommending this place for sure! In terms of aesthetics, it has a boho chic vibe and was quiet and relaxing. One of the best salon experiences I’ve had! Certainly not the most sophisticated, but for the cleanliness, vibe, and AMAZING STAFF, you might forget this isn’t a hotel spa. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Overpriced for the experience! My husband and I stopped here after landing in Charleston for our 1 year anniversary. The hospitality was great. The best touch was the tranquility and wine they offer. Their pedicure chairs were really nice as well. I wasn’t a fan of how fast they work; they’re timed and when the timer goes off it’s noticeable that they start rushing. My husband said his pedicure was good but they rushed smoothing his heels. The timer may help with them with wait times for any walk-ins but it’s not the best service for people who are always being serviced. Also, I got a manicure and the lady kept trying to get me to do dip powder after I said no like 3 times. I just wanted my cuticles taken care of, no polish or anything. Not sure if that offended her or what but she barely filed my nails they are not even and my cuticles look worse than when I went to the salon.

This place is incredibly kind. 1000% recommended to everyone in the area!!! Every single worker is fantastic. Make u feel comfortable, and even offer complimentary beverages, water soda wine etc. excellent

I made an appointment and still waited about 25 - 30 minutes for anyone to even come and wait on me. No one apologized for the long wait or offered any sort of compensation for waiting. The pedicure was average, the woman who did them was kind of rude, and it was certainly not worth $35. Although a few of the women there were extremely nice, they seriously lack customer service and efficiency.

Mediocre. I had a pedicure. I was trying to relax so I wasnt paying attention and when she took me over to the dryers I noticed that my nails werent even and a couple of them looked like there were nicks in the polish. I got the bare minimum treatment. It was not the worst and not the best.

Ok I have super mixed feeling about this salon. I went here for my wedding mani pedi and I have some issues. First the pedicure was painful, they scrubbed so hard the my heels ended up splitting with in a few hours of leaving, all weekend I was in pain which is the last thing I needed during my wedding. I tired to tell her it hurt and she just kept going. My feet are incredibly dry, to a painful point so either the products are the problem or the insane foot scrubbing did them in. My toe nails are beautiful though. Then the manicure, I would give five stars on that however she cut off the very top of my finger with scissors. I had a few nails shorter than the rest and had her put tips on, when trimming one she took the scissors and didn’t check what she was doing and clipped the top of my finger. It still hurts. The manicure is also beautiful however. I was not really apologized to and I was still charged full price. I would think maybe as simple as you cut my finger maybe don’t charge my for my four tips.

I went to East Bay during my lunch break and it was fantastic.1. Loved the relaxing music they play!2. Very understanding that I was in a time crunch!3. They have so many nail polish colors to choose from4. They have off street parking!5. I was finished and my fingers were dry within an hour!I will definitely be going back to this nail salon for sure!

The only good thing was the atmosphere. I got a full set to have a nail pop off like I glued it on myself in under a week after getting them done. Two days later my pinky nail fell off and I just had that fixed yesterday elsewhere as I am on vacation. Now a third nail has fallen off. No pain or anything. Literally just fell off. I spent a lot of money for these nails but now I am going to go elsewhere to get them redone correctly.UPDATE: two more nails fell off the next day after I posted this and now they are all off, even the one they fixed. I dont know if they used bad glue or what but I have NEVER had my nails done and they fall off in a week.

Ive had really good experiences here- you can tell the girls have a lot of skill and experience. Im not super into my nails but theyre always sweet and try to make the experience positive. Parking is free and the wait is never too bad!

The first time I went hear my nail tech was very rude and rushed. I couldn’t hear or understand her the first time so I said pardon me and she yelled at me and treated me like i was incompetent after that. She was very rough and would snatch my hands up. My nails did look pretty good, but I was not offered a drink like other customers. They do pretty good jobs on your nails, just not good customer service (especially for younger people).

The interior is recently updated and the service remains friendly and professional!

I absolutely lovvveee this place! I have been in Charleston for over 3 years and this is the only nail shop that I would recommend. The people are nice and the wine is excellent! :)

Very friendly people, relaxing atmosphere with them serving water or wine. The lady who did my feet didnt work on my pedicure for a long period and she was making a face as she did it. She softened up to me when i told her i was a nursing student but she was judging me soon as she sat down at my chair. I was the only black person in the building but that was the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way.

This is the worst nail salon Ive ever been to. I came in with a friend for a pedicure and to get a nail dip manicure. The lady doing my nails cut my toe, didnt say anything, and just put my foot back in the water. I honestly think she was trying to hide that she did it. Then when she pulled my foot back out it was still bleeding so she finally addressed it. Then when she did my manicure she cut me three more times. I can understand cutting someone once, accidents happen, but four times is just absurd.

Not the place to get your moneys worth. I always get SNS manicure at this salon, which is supposed to last for THREE TO FOUR WEEKS Im lucky if my manicure lasts TEN DAYS from this salon. The last time I went I was told to leave because they couldnt do what I was asking for. The owner made it work and rushed through leaving my nails looking bumpy. She said she would NOT charge extra (which she did). After NINE DAYS two nails chipped and when I went to get them fixed with my service dog this time, they tried to tell me I wasnt allowed in with my service dog which is ILLEGAL. She also asked for papers which it is also not allowed to require to see papers or documentation due to personal medical information. I will never be returning

My daughter got the dip and it completely came off one nail the next day. They told her to come back and they would fix it. She did and I asked them to check the other nails while we were there. They didnt even look at the others and over the weekend 3 more came off. When I called back, they said send her in and they would give her a gift card for the $45 she spent. They used the gift card to fix the disaster they created instead of fixing them properly once and for all and then giving her a gift card for all of her inconvenience. I was very surprised by this, that is usually not the service. She paid for her nails with birthday money, so needless to say she wasnt too happy!

Service is horrible, prices are ridiculous. Sat there for 15 minutes BEFORE someone came and did my pedi. The lady was rude, and rough. When I told her I didn’t want polish again she kept asking why. Ask for clear polish only got one layer and the charge was $35. I would never return here.

Did a half-assed pedi with no feet or leg scrub. So I just soaked my feet and got my nailed trimmed. The lady in charge was more interested in getting our chairs open for the next group waiting. Never offered anything. Get a better one at the mall.

THEY DO NOT CLEAN THEIR PEDI TUBS BETWEEN CUSTOMERS OR USE TUB LINERS.Had to make sure that was clear.I know getting your nails done is really always a hit or miss, and it’s hard to find consistently good service but I’ve tried this place 3 times now and have been left feeling cheated every time. My most recent visit was a pedi and SNS dip. Worst, shortest, most unsanitary pedi I’ve ever had. Tub was dirty and I watched them shuffle in customers one after the other without cleaning the tubs all around me. SNS dip (which is $45) came with absolutely nothing else- no trim, cuticle clean up, massage, nothing. Then when I tried to tip, the owner asked why I wasn’t tipping more. I should send her my doctor’s bill for the infection I’m bound to get from her nasty salon.

Well, my wife stopped here for a mani and a pedi and I got to sit and wait since it was hotter than an oven outside at the time.The staff was super friendly and theres a great selection of magazines to choose from.As for my wife, she really liked her mani and pedi and I can attest it looked great. Id say this was a really nice place with good service. Not being a huge mani-pedi guy, I cant add much more than that!

POOR. I had the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. Condescending is the least of this womans problems. I had an eyebrow and lip waxing which Ive had since I was 15 years old and my skin looked so red and puffy afterwards. People walking in after me were seen before me, lets just say shes lucky I left her a tip.

Not customer friendly....I walk in at 6 pm on sat eve, and I was told they were closed..I say where is the sign notifying customers the lady behind the counter says your right...but sorry were leaving and they close down even after I begged to just get a manicure only and I noted that I had just drove in from out of town...they workers seems unfased and turned the lights off on me whole I was standing in the store...smh...they just missed out on a good customer

The atmosphere in the studio is nice and the nail designer friendly, unfortunately, hardly on the wishes of the customer. The prices are outrageous !! And I would never let a stone design there again, they do not have it at all. She put the glue over the stones and once again the gel-varnish over it, it looked impossible and the stones did not even sparkle anymore. Looks really bad.Can not recommend the studio, price performance absolutely not.
