Tops Off is Top Notch! My husband made an appointment for the whole family to get a haircut. They were all so friendly and accommodating to us. We took our two year old for his first cut. They were so nice to him and eased him into the process. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Aaaaannnd they do pedicures! Y’all this place is the place to do business at!

Kelly is a Godsend. She saved my hair & self esteem! She is the only person Ill allow to touch my hair. Very talented & cool lady. Its a very nice environment & i dont feel pressure to talk which is great for an introvert like myself. Always a pleasant experience.

Got a hair cut there and one side of the top of my head is still super long and the other side is crazy short. Went home and literally saw that my whole head was crooked and different lengths.

Tops Off Barber Shop is the most unique shop in town from the history of location being a Jewelry store and the huge safe, the decor, the game room, and of course all the awesome barbers. Scott Spencer always does a fantastic job on my hair. He takes his time, has good conversation, and makes sure youre satisfied before leaving. Highly recommend checking them out!

Great service and nice people. It was my first time ever going and I was welcomed. I came in for a full hair dye and left with a great job done.

I always walk-in and they’re generally able to pencil me in without much of a wait. The decor is great. They work quick and make pleasant conversation. It’s a little hard to find a place that does a good androgynous haircut around this area, but I’ve liked every single haircut I’ve gotten here.

I love this place. Scott H. Is an excellent barber and so good with my son as well. The place has a nice retro feel and plenty of entertainment to keep you occupied while you wait, although I’ve never had to wait more than 5 min.

With the COVID-19 pandemic going on I hadnt had a haircut in awhile. Normal place I get my haircut was closed, so I turned to the internet to find somewhere to get my hair cut, & I discovered this place. I was promptly greeted upon arrival & met Scott Hensley who would be cutting my hair. Talking to Scott I found out he is an Army veteran & when I told him I wanted a high & tight he knew exactly what I wanted. Ive found other places Ive been for haircuts dont exactly get high & tights right. This barber shop has a very unique look & feel & I was totally surprised when I saw they had beer taps. Next trip I need to get a beer. I have found the new place Im going to get my hair cut at from now on.

I had decided for my wife’s birthday to have a hair style done for her. I had selected ulta but they cancelled on my last minute. I was then referred to tops off. I called and was greeted friendly. I set an appointment for her and was with Kelly. I must say that Kelly does a superb job!!! Since this date my wife has been going to Kelly and hasn’t had a issue one. I go to Scott Hensley and he’s top notch!!! This is a wonderful place to go for all your hair needs. I highly recommend Scott Hensley or Kelly. My wife Jennifer has been going to see Kelly for 6 months now and when she comes out it’s a WOW factor!!! Highly recommend this place to anyone

I called Tops Off yesterday looking for my barber of almost 2 years Scott Hensley, to see if he could fit me in. The owner’s wife answered and without even asking my name or who I was started slandering him and saying the most unprofessional things. Apparently Scott Hensley has moved to another place which I know now, but that was probably the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had. Instead of just saying he no longer works here she was so rude and I still can’t get over how unprofessional. I would never step foot back in that shop or recommend anyone else either. If you’re looking for Scott Hensley just give him a ring he’ll get you in.

Took my son to them for his very first hair cut and they were amazing!! Scott did a great job cutting his hair and helping him feel comfortable, hes only 17 months old. Im so pleased! They even gave him a first hair cut certificate. So cute!! We will definitely be going back.

I was in Charleston for the weekend and went to this barbershop because it was the closest one to my hotel. The online hours hadn’t been updated so I arrived after close, but they were very gracious and still happy to help me out. I gave a quick explanation of what I wanted and boy, he delivered. This is easily the best haircut I’ve ever had. Even trimmed up my eyebrows and the edges of my beard ! After just the haircut I would have given 5 stars, but then I was given a shampoo, hot & cold towel treatment, quick facial massage, styled, the whole works. I was blown away. It truly is an experience, not just a haircut. I’ve never been so cared for or had a better time at a barbershop. Do yourself a favor and go!

I consider myself a difficult cut and this is something I recognize and accept about myself. No matter where I have went, I always ended up looking like a mushroom, regardless of the price I was paying. Today, that changed. My Barber, Scott, I told him to cut it how he thought it would look best. The time, attention to detail, conversation, atmosphere, value-- phenomenal. I have read some of the other low rating comments and it makes me sad that they didnt have the same experience that I did, because this shop is by far THE best one I have ever been to, and I dont say that lightly. Great job, you all! You just earned my business.

I only use Tops off Barber Shop and one other Barber Shop in the Charleston area. The owners are good people and very approachable. I had one incident there where I was unhappy and they were more than happy to make good on the matter. In fact, Im sure that they welcome any input that helps them take care of their customers. Please just address it with some common sense and respect. Also, I know that no matter when I arrive, all of their barbers can do a good job. If you ask for a cut that a particular Barber thinks that another Barber in the shop can do better, they will tell you and move you to that chair. They really are a family type business that wants their customers to be happy and return!

I dont want to be biased, but if your a male and have a beard and want a top notch haircut and beard trim you have to come here and ask for mike chrislip. Hes extremely talented and friendly. He listens to what you want done and does an amazing job! Mike along with all the barbers have great talent and hospitality! Mike is just my go to guy. 🙂

Just not my cup of tea I asked for a certain shave and they could not do it I wanted a straight razor shave but the woman couldnt do it and the hair cut was so bad I went home and took my clippers and evened it out I just feel I can do a better job myself it was a waste of money. The woman who cut my hair was very friendly and great service I just was not satisfied with the shave and hair cut very disappointed since the guys at work talked this place up to be the best place in town(I think their deciding fact was the beer service)

Got a recommendation from a guy at work loved the place and enjoyed the beer but dont know how much it cost when I paid 23 dollars for a beard trim and straight razor that was the worst I have ever experienced. Dont let a woman named Chelsea do your beard there she cut my neck with the straight razor so bad that it still isnt any better now at 2 am hopefully will get better tomorrow. Overpriced for something I could have done myself to not have endured the pain of someone cutting u that probably wasnt even certified to use a straight razor.

If you enjoy the feel of a classic mens haircut with the ability to please the newer styles and tastes this is the place. One of the best haircuts I can remember. The place was very clean. Scott was excellent and made me feel at home my first visit. the cold and warm face towels were a nice touch. I will definitely go back.

I did not go the weekend of the review was written so that is why Im not in the books A barber shouldnt have an off day. I didnt get the six other barbers u claim I got the one that screwed up. Normally I wouldnt be mad about a haircut but he cut it so short I have to live with it a while. There is no way that I can style it and no I dont want any discounts because I will not go again. If you cant remember me I was about 15 years old Its just the fact that he didnt listen man. Peace brother.

Had the worst barbershop experience there. I called before hand when I got there nobody took my name down. Waited an hour and a half just to find that out. I went to put more change in the meter and asked a lady if she would let them know I’d be right back. When I got back they completely skipped over my son’s turn. Fat cow was in a hurry and didn’t tell them I’d be back I guess. I’ll never waste my time there ever again

A bad experience all around. If you are thinking about the kind of haircut you would expect to get if you were a professional and wanted to look like one, then this is probably the wrong place for you. It was for me. I tried them out because they were offering a shave as well as a haircut. The shave was uncomfortable and unpleasant. Too hot, then too cold, the towels too rough, even the handling of me and my face too rough. I left bleeding and with both eyes stinging from something Chris put on them. I wont be back.

They kill it on the daily. A barber or barberess for any style. They serve women as well which some dont realize, but they do great from what Ive seen. Nice as hell owners and drinks! Plus the beer club meets there and they have a pool table. All kinds of dope decor in a neo-50s style. How cool is that?!

Oz is the man!! I have driven 3 hours on more than one occasion to have my hair cut by him. The shop is incredible and easily the best atmosphere Ive been in as far as barber shops go.

The guy across from me apparently asked for too much during his haircut: after he left the barber said I was about to bust that kid in the head, and the owner offered support. I said nothing. Five minutes later I had the worst haircut of my life from my own barber. This is a great barbershop if you want to give yourself a buzz cut afterward in order to look like a normal human being from the butchering they might give you. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. There are a few places right around the block. No excuse to go here.

Explicitly said what I wanted and didnt want, showing pictures to make sure we were on the page of what I wanted and what would be too short. Then he went and cut mine even shorter than the too short example. Three inches shorter in places, so 6 months to grow back. AVOID

I was charged $50 for a mistake I didnt make. I should of complained but I just paid my money and will never go back. The lady did an amazing job on cutting my hair but she messed up big time by causing my hair to dread up by shampooing my hair. Took her hours to fix. Never even styled my hair. I was very disappointed

The place is one of the best Ive been to for a haircut. Its always clean, nice atmosphere, and staff. Sometimes seemingly distracted, but not enough to never go back. I do every month and truly e ought the service provided.

Ok my hair came out perfect!!! Loved the shop it was professional the staff was very friendly they offered free drinks and for those who partake in it, they offers a free tap beer as well. The prices were so inexpensive and it was the coolest shop Iv ever seen with a hanging aquarium brick walls and while you wait and enjoy your beverages why not shoot some pool at there complementary pool table or watch Netflix on the big screen tvs. And as if that wasnt good enough theres hot shaves and a SPA!!! nails, massages, hot rock, facials, the works!!!!! I Made me and my son apt was not put down Wait 30 min past getting ready to leave then Kyle went out of his way to make it right gave discount and then after we left I noticed some spot on my son that wasnt cut then Kyle came in on a day they was closed to fix it I have to say he is good guy most people would not care
