Absolutely the most poorly run and unprofessional nail salon I have ever been to. The owner and staff refuse to respond to emails, keep charging random amounts to your card with no authorization, and overall are rude and disrespectful. I hope they get reported for stealing peoples money.

First pedi experience and was wonderful! The staff made the experience very comfortable and intimidating. Shame its closing soon to a waterless salon, hopefully they keep the vibe similar

A month ago I scheduled an appointment and 20 minutes before the Water Room cancelled my appointment. I was already on the way and almost there. I tried calling/emailing and they would not respond or help to reschedule it. They then proceeded to charge my card for a service I never got and that they had cancelled. This company is poorly run, economically corrupt, and unprofessional. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I previously had a negative experience with this nail salon and I informed the staff. The owner reached out to me personally and scheduled a complimentary redo of my services and I must say everything turned out excellent. I was serviced by Shana she was pleasant and did an excellent job on both my manicure and my pedicure. I appreciate the owners generous service recovery efforts during these uncertain times as I know small businesses have been drastically affected. I recommend this nail salon and I will most certainly be returning!

My favorite nail salon in the city and a major bonus that everything they use is chemical free. Always clean and the staff is so friendly. Definitely recommend the Dazzle Dry manicure but you won’t be disappointed with any service you receive here. They made sure my nails were looking perfect for our engagement photos!

Favorite nail salon in the Charleston area. Non-toxic atmosphere and non-toxic polish options. Also really relaxing and well-decorated. A side bonus is that they are in the Cigar factory and I never have an issue with parking.

I was very disappointed in the 2nd level pedicure service given by Chentelle; she clearly does not want to be there. Hoping that by contacting the manager on this poor service, the water room will rectify the situation. Otherwise, the spa is a lovely place.

This building/strip mall is super cool. Lot of cool shops and bites all in one spot. The Water Room is a very nice feeling nail spot. The staff are professional and very friendly. My wife and I got pedicures and she got manicure. I left 1 star off because the paint used on her nails was not great quality.. she let it dry for 30+ minutes and was still scuffing later that day. So she’ll have to redo them soon, which is a bummer to have them messed up so quickly after paying to have them look nice for vacation. All around, still a nice spot with good service.

Tried the Water Room for the first time this past weekend and had a bad experience. The nail tech barely spoke English, and was very rude to me (actually rolled her eyes and told me not to move multiple times...I felt like I couldn’t relax and enjoy myself). Not to mention she did a really bad job on my nails...she even put a design on them that I didn’t ask for after I told her I didn’t want it. My sister had to tell her I didn’t want it a second time for her to take off this blob of a flower she painted on my nails, and even then she did the other hand before removing😅 overall, not a good experience and way too expensive for service like that. Even my sister’s nail tech outwardly said they didn’t want to be there...I’m very dissatisfied.

My friends and I call The Water Room one of our happy places in Charleston. Its such a relaxing atmosphere with a great staff. Its the only place I go for pedicures now. I highly recommend!

Nothing but wonderful things to say about The Water Room. It is be far the most warm, inviting, CLEAN, and aesthetically pleasing nail salon I’ve ever been to. From the start, The Water Room has always had ultra stringent sanitation standards so I never cringe when putting my feet in the tub or question whether the tools are sanitary. The staff are all very kind and seem to all be highly qualified. I’ve specifically had Shaina and Cheyenne for pedicures - both of which have been meticulous and amazing. The only thing I sometimes miss about conventional nail salons is the pedicure massage chair but I’d still choose The Water Room every time. Did I mention they’re non-toxic and fume-free?! Love this place!

My person did a good job on my feet, but she didnt exfoliate my hands properly so they are still like sand paper. Otherwise I enjoyed the visit.

Loved my experience at The Water Room! The space did not smell of your typical nail salon (harsh chemicals), the staff was friendly and the service was phenomenal. Cheyenne was delicate with my feet and was extremely meticulous to make sure my toes looked perfect! I went on a day that wasn’t very busy and it heightened a relaxation vibe within the salon.

Love pedicures here! They’re always so clean, precise, organized, and welcoming. Highly recommend the service!

I had an excellent gel removal at this salon. My nails look healthy and strong following the procedure and Cheyenne often checked back to make sure it wasnt uncomfortable. Cant wait to go back!

I hate to leave bad reviews but i feel i must. I just moved to the Charleston area, and already knew I was going to try The Water Room after it being recommended and it being non-toxic I was so excited. I was expecting a much more friendly experience. Totally not what I received. My nail tech was cold, and one of the most unfriendly or welcoming techs I have ever had. She barely said hi to me and only spoke to me when asking if my nails looked ok. After driving across the country to move here and just needing some tlc for myself I expected more. I also drove 45 minutes to get here from my new home. Totally not worth the drive, gas money, or money I spent for an unfriendly experience and sub par nails.

They used a gentle technique for manicures and I liked the crystal nail file. I used the dazzle dry polish for extended wear. The extended wear lasted for a little over one week without chipping. Not sure if its worth the cost. Very hospitable and cozy though.

Came here for a visit on my best friend’s bachelorette party weekend and we had a great experience! Clean, fast, and great service! Thank you for a great time!

Most diverse salon I’ve been too. All ages and races work here and come get their services done. The staff goes above and beyond and the salon experience is very peaceful.

The technician did a great job on my manicure and it was so nice to be able to see everything being cleaned in The Water Room located in the middle of the space - talk about transparency! The prices are also very reasonable for a beautiful downtown space, with plenty of (free) parking. Have already recommended it to friends and will definitely be back!

Loved my experience at The Water Room. The space is peaceful, fresh, and full of natural light. I loved the plants, the velvet seats, and the fact that you could see all the sterilization equipment. I upgraded to the gel alternative, and while I assumed it wouldnt be as durable as a typical version, it lasted for over two weeks, even after visiting the gym and scrubbing cast iron pans. Im on my second manicure and will make The Water Room a regular stop.

Loved my appointment at The Water Room! Staff was very accommodating, friendly, and understanding as I worked through the majority of my pedicure. My nail technician, Angelina, even chose my colors for me when I totally forgot and did an incredible job! The open-back room concept is really interesting, and for someone who likes transparency in products, very much appreciated. All their products, from nail polishes to treatments and oils, smelled amazing. I didnt feel rushed or uncomfortable, and their eco-friendly concept made me feel comfortable and healthy as well. Will definitely come back with my mom when she comes in town!!

The Water Room was such a breath of fresh air (literally)!! I was greeted by the most gracious staff and given a heavenly pedicure in the most beautiful nail salon I have ever been to. I cant wait to go back next month!

The atmosphere and interior design were a dream, the products were as promised - non toxic and clean, and the staff was friendly but what I booked and what I got were two different things. I booked a level 2 manicure due to the extended hand massage in the description but no massage of any kind was performed during my manicure. My nails were filed and painted with the extended wear polish, that was it. The extended wear polish lasted 9 days at best. For the service provided to me I just cant justify the $45 price tag. I went here based on rave reviews I was seeing on social media and in turn convinced several co-workers to try it out and when I told them about my experience they too lacked a massage of any sort regardless of having paid for one. Lesson learned.

We were excited to go for pedicures since the reviews were so great and the atmosphere was so inviting! Boy, were we disappointed! They were truly the worst pedicures we ever got anywhere! The receptionist was sweet and kind; however, the nail technicians were unfriendly, fought among themselves in front of us, and did an absolutely lousy job! The cuticle scissors were never used on our feet, and the water scalded our feet! We will never go there again unless they get new technicians.

This is the absolute best nail salon in Charleston! I went in for a pedicure and felt like I’d spent the day at a spa- everything about the experience was restorative and relaxing, from the cozy seats to the tranquil atmosphere. I love knowing that everything is sterilized in a hospital grade sanitizer, which I could see in the transparent “water room.” The nail techs were kind, professional and informative. I walked out and immediately texted several friends about reserving the private room for a party next month! I will be back very soon!

Wasn’t worth the price tag.. it’s a pretty space, and the staff was very friendly, however, I went in for a gel polish removal, mani and pedi. They were out of the specific nail file they needed to take my gel polish off but said they should be getting some in soon and i could come back for it another day. They were polite and apologetic but it was disappointing. The polish selection was “ok” and overall bland. The pedicure was “ok” as well. 1 week later i was back at my old regular place where i knew i could count on a great pedicure that would last several weeks. Disappointing because i would love to find a clean organic space for my mani’s and pedi’s.
