The hair cut was what I said I wanted, the barbers are friendly, almost no waiting, and reasonable prices (for downtown Charleston). I keep going back, they keep doing a good job.

Palmetto Barber Shop is one of the best barber shops in the Charleston area. For people with full schedules that are constantly on the move and need to fit in a quick haircut on a moments notice this place is perfectly. The barbers are skilled, quick, friendly, and efficient at their jobs. They know how to keep things moving without you ever feeling rushed or not taken care of fully. They really respect and care for their customers.This is one of the best values in town for the quality of the service that they provide. I have always had a consistently wonderful experience every time I come in to here over the years and they have always been there when I needed them. Palmetto Barber Shop is awesome.

We came in from out of town for my sons baseball tournament and he needed a trim. In addition to the cut, his teammates were all getting their uniform numbers shaved into their hair. I called numerous places that were unwilling to do that. Palmetto gave it a shot and not only did they do a great job with the number, but they also gave him one of the best cuts he has ever had. Great friendly atmosphere, good conversation and a barbershop dog all made this place an A+ in my book. I wish I could take them back to Texas with me! Also note, this place is walk-in only and cash only. They do have an on-site ATM though so not a big deal.

This place has been my regular for years since a nearby (much more expensive) salon didnt have availability. Some of the most reasonable pricing Ive ever seen, friendly staff, and fantastic cuts. Ive been recommending this place to my friends ever since my first cut there.

Great little old fashioned barber shop with very nice ladies working there. They are skilled and friendly and even give you the hot towel on your neck when they shave it with a real razor. They have me looking my best.

Dropped my daughter off for her first year at College of Charleston and needed to get my haircut. Stumbled into Palmetto Barbers. Three beautiful ladies, one sat me down right away and gave me the only hair cut Ive had in years where people kept complimenting my haircut. Now I try to work visits to Charleston around when I need a haircut.

Ive gone twice. So far so good!They have three chairs. Both times there was a steady flow of patrons, mostly gentlemen and kids.

Nice ladies cutting hair, though some are nicer than others. Nothing special about it though. Feels more like it’s set up for tourists than locals.

This is a great barber shop for men. They charge a flat rate of $15 for a haircut and are quick enough for you to go on a lunch break. I was nervous when they had me facing away from the mirror during the entirety of my haircut, but was pleasantly surprised when they turned me back around. These ladies know what theyre doing! They even include complimentary neckline and sideburn touchups between haircuts.

Didnt get the haircut that I paid for and when they asked me if I was happy about my haircut I said yes because I didnt want to the barber to further mess up my hair. Overall bad experience and an obvious cheap option for any college student, dont go here if you value quality in your haircut.
