This family business is been amazing to me and Im pretty sure everyone can agree with me. They take their time making sure the services they provide is to your satisfaction. I have come back here plenty of times because of the excellent customer service. I highly recommend Aces to anyone that needed excellent services. Ive come here for to do a lot of my beautifying work on myself. Definitely, come to this place if you wanted to look like a Million Dollar. Theres nothing to lose to try it out but your ugliness😋. Ace’s has been my go to salon since 2012. Each time I come in I am greeted with friendly smiles and I feel like family. I am a natural dark brunette and my old stylist, who worked at a few different super ritzy-type upscale salons, told me that my hair could not be colored more drastically than blonde highlights. My old stylist said it would damage my hair and would not be manageable. Thankfully, around that time I was introduced to Amber from Ace’s Salon and Barbershop. I explained to her that I would like to experiment with fun hairstyles and colors. She was more than happy to help me and she did a great job. Throughout the years I have gone from my natural brunette to blonde (and I think I pulled it off!) Pink has been my main color and through my time going to Ace’s I have had bright pink hair from the roots, ombré colors, rainbow layers, all the classic “mermaid/unicorn” hair. I have been through different types of extensions: clip-ins, sew-ins, bonds, metal, you name it. Some styles were easier to maintain than others but all throughout these past 5 years my hair remains healthy and does not break. I even received complements from hair stylists friends of mine who said they themselves would be scared to do such wild colors and different things with their clients because they would be afraid to damage it to no repair. I am a very happy customer and love the vibe at this shop. I have introduced both of my parents, my boyfriend, colleagues, friends and countless strangers to Ace’s Salon and now they are happy clients. Co-owners and mother/daughter duo Kim and Amber make the salon experience personal and fun. The others who work there are always helpful and attentive. Which is great because sometimes I can spend a few hours there making over a current hairdo. They also have made me up for only one special night out when I wanted to do my hair only for a short period. Most recently I had braids and dreads put into my hair for a festival I was attending where I would not be able to style to my hair for two weeks. They styled my hair so well that the ‘do lasted for three weeks. And during that time it was zero maintenance! What a dream. The best thing for vacation. Well anyway this is long enough. You can tell how passionate I am about my hair and where and who takes care of me. I attached some pics so you can see all the differences and talents throughout my time at Ace’s. Outstanding place to get your hair cut/done! The chemistry of the employees here is fun and entertaining! They make you feel like family and treat you great! Also, special shout out to the barber, Darrell, whom is not just a swift as a coursing river but also has the force of a great typhoon. But seriously- hes amazing clean cuts with a very precise and steady hand. And always goes the extra mile.

Ive been going to Aces for almost 3 years now. After my very first haircut here, I knew Id never need to even step foot in another shop.Kim (Mom, as I like to call her), Amber, and the whole staff there are awesome. Extremely nice, down to earth people that treat you like family. This is the type of barbershop that you could visit even if you werent getting your haircut, just to say hi and have a good conversation with even better people.When I moved to North Scottsdale/Cave Creek for a year, I continued to make the drive down to Chandler to get cut by Amber. It was WELL worth the time and gas to do so.They say once you experience the best, you dont mess with the rest...Aces is THE perfect example of that!! I would give them 10 stars if possible. Quite literally cant say enough good things about this shop.

My wife and I only go to Aces for everything involving our hair. I met Amber many years ago when she worked for a big box chain and am so happy we crossed paths. I think its been about 10 years since we met and was excited when her and her awesome mom Kim opened their own business. It is very family friendly, hip and trendy. I highly recommend Aces to everyone.

Highly efficient, very knowledgeable. My mother and I both go here and we are both over 50. Only salon in town that can do a GREAT perm. Ive tried 5 other salons around the valley after moving here 6 yrs ago and never got a good perm till I found Kim at Aces..

This salon accepted my call with in a short notice. They got me in within 1 hour from calling. They cut my hair perfectly exactly how I had a picture of a certain actress. And they also bleached and colored it perfectly. Im beyond amazed with their performance they deserve 10 stars ❤❤❤❤

I met Amber years ago and had to stop by when she mentioned she did hair. I had the best first experience at a barbershop Ive ever had and have been coming here religiously for almost 4 years now. Never had a better or more enjoyable experience, or a better haircut!Its gotten to the point where if Im in the area Ill swing by just to chat and hangout for a while. The staff are all extremely friendly, everyone is on a first name basis with genuinely good attitudes always. They all take their time and do a great job, all while making a satisfying experience. I love Aces!

I am pretty particular about who I let style my hair, but I would trust Darrell with any cut/style. He has always taken care of me and I recommend him to anyone looking for a nice fade with great line work. He takes his time and gets the cut looking just right. Then finishes it up with a hot towel and massage.

After my barber of 7 years moved away, I bounced around from shop to shop, never quite satisfied until a friend recommended Aces. I set up an appointment with Darrell and the rest is history. Ive been coming to Darrell for about 2 years now and am very pleased. Hes been able to give me any cut I throw at him and always does a great job. If youre looking for a nice, clean fade and clean line work, Darrell is your man.

While Ive had great haircuts from Aces, theyve simply gotten too busy to go anymore, so Im off to find another shop. Ive attempted to make several appointments for a simple haircut, and theyve consistently NOT KEPT the appointments... meaning I show up at the appointed time (really a few minutes early, as I try and respect my appointments), and they dont come close to honoring my appointment, so Ive had to walk out.I even went so far as to explain this situation on the phone with them, and they agreed that they cannot keep appointments.So if you have PLENTY of time to sit and wait for a haircut, Id definitely recommend Aces... but if you value your time, look again.

Just found this place a few months ago looking for a new stylist. Kim was able to get me in the same day and I felt comfortable enough with her to just give a broad idea of what I was wanting my hair to look like and let her go for it. I absolutely love my hair cut and color! Kim really took the time to get the look she wanted and the end cost was very reasonable. Its a family salon so if youre looking for some buttoned up place with meditation music, this may not be the place for you...but for me, I found it to be fun, friendly and very welcoming. I felt like family by the time i was done with that first visit and will not be going anywhere else!

Ive been getting my haircut from this place for a while now, from Darrell (sp?). He always takes great care with my hair and doesnt make me feel like Im part of an assembly line - he takes his time and gets it right. The rest of the staff is also great, and the owner is always in whenever Im there. I always recommend this place to my friends. Darrell does mens cuts but I typically see the other stylists doing intricate and cool things with womens hair as well. Great place and I will continue to come here as long as they remain open!

Never have had a bad cut here and wont go anywhere else. Consistent barber can be tough to find but this place has it figured out. Owner and staff are always friendly and they have a parrot that talks

This is my favorite salon anywhere. Kim and her family are friendly and professional. They treat your requests seriously and theyre the only place Ive found that can color your hair with vibrant colors. They are very innovative and flexible!

Barber: DarrellFirst time at this shop and literally have no complaints. Walked in and both barbers working were busy, waited a few minutes and was in a chair. I asked for a high straight blade fade and he went to work. Came out clean and nice and exactly how I wanted it.About Darrell. Hes a fulltime barber and has been cutting peoples hair since the 8th grade! He understands the respectful balance between too much conversation and no enough. He is very attentive to his work but also his client. Towards the end, he placed a warm towel on my head and even asked if it was too hot. I recommend anyone who is looking for a good barber to schedule with him soon. Surely, with the character and work ethic he has, he is or will likely be quite busy.Thank you for the cut!

Feb. 2015Went to Aces (Barber and Salon) During my lunch break (Work at Intel). I got my cut with the perfect amount of time left to get back to work.
