The 2 nail techs I always use are not in Cedar Hill,  but I needed something close. I ended up going to American Nail Bar this afternoon, and I had a terrible experience.The nail tech I had was really nice. But she cut my pinky finger and it started bleeding. (Its still sore ) I didnt say a word. The polish was definitely laden with polish thinner because it was so thin she had to do 4 coats.  I didnt say a word. When I arrived at check out, they charged me an $5 extra because I had the nail tech use a different color on my ring finger so they charged me for 2 polish colors.They have a very detailed menu on the counter when you check in and you complete a very detailed service form before your service. Neither listed the $5. When I spoke to the manager,  he said I told you when we talked about color.   I never discussed pricing or color with him. The price was listed and I gave my color choices to the nail tech.The only thing I had discussed with the manager was the wait because he told me 15 minutes but I ended up sitting alone waiting on the Nail tech for an additional 7 minutes. I wasnt even bothered by that because I know sometimes things take longer than expected.I will never return. If you go be sure to discuss pricing in advance. Getting my finger cut, using thinned out polish, and having the manager charge me extra then lie to my face about a discussion I never had with him is a one time experience for me.I should have known there would be a bait and switch when I noticed top shelf liquor displayed on the shelves but saw them use a very inexpensive brand that Ive never heard of to make the drinks.

I was a walk in and they had time to do my nails and pedicure with no wait which was great. I had a photo of the ombre nails that I wanted with the exception for the shape. I wanted a different shape(3rd photo I got from their website) and they said they could do it. Also great. The nail process started out good but went down hill once the dipping process started. I ended up with lumpy nails on more than one of my nails because I guess she had to dip more than normal because the color portion was darker on one hand. She didnt even try to smooth them (lumps and cuticle area)out. I was kind of disappointed when I left. I didnt say anything. The pedicure was fine. Both techs were nice I just paid and left knowing I would not be back. The total of my service was $148 and I still tipped. So my total was $178. She apologized for getting it wrong but the end result was not what I would consider a good job. I believe she knew I was not completely satisfied because she kept apologizing and hitting me on my arm because its awkward when you know you didnt deliver. I kept pulling out the photo so she could see what i wanted but Im not sure what was going on. Maybe she had not done Ombre before? I saw the bar area. I dont know how that works but I wasnt offered anything and I didnt ask. I waited to do this review because after getting my nails re-done this weekend at another place and it was 100% improvement, I was convinced that the nail job I got here was not all together, correct. Nice try though. I guess its hit or miss when going somewhere new. If you dont have a referral for a specific tech then you may or may not end with a good result.

Am very satisfied with my nail... its really pretty and it didnt hurt a bit. My beauty technician was the best (I forgot her name... am so sorry) but she was very patient and understanding and the price was good. I also had my lashes done and that feels so good... no pain... but I dont feel like posting that picture.

I drive from Waxahachie to Cedar Hill just to get my pedicure done at this place! The staff is amazing! From the receptionists to the nail technicians. I love THE DAO ! She’s great with her work, friendly & makes me feel like I’m relaxing with a friend. All the staff makes sure you’re comfortable and treated right. 10/10 ! From their services to their complimentary drinks.

This place is horrible. These people are liars! They did a terrible job on my nails. They nickel and dime you for everything and don’t inform you of the charges until it’s time to pay. They ask you to fill out a form and then charge you more. I paid $90 for a basic full set and my nails only lasted a week before the were falling off. Also they charged me for length what length this place is a joke. They do a terrible job when it comes to nails! Read all the other negative reviews I wish I had. I would not recommend this place. Don’t be fooled by the nice interior and drinks. Do yourself a favor and stay away! I recommend nails 2000 in Desoto or fantasy nails!

My first time here and it was amazing! I believe her name was Hanna (I’m sorry if I didn’t get it right) but she made sure my first experience was truly relaxing and stress free. I got the milk and honey pedicure and loved every bit of it. She was really good at massaging and taking her time with my pedi. You get offered complimentary drinks while you are there. Since you walk in they are very friendly and helpful in providing good customer service. I will definitely be back!

This place has a full service bar, great nail color selection, M-TH Happy Hour from 9-3pm, meaning you get 50% off any 2nd service of equal or less price. My 1st time there, however, took well over 2 hours for a mani/pedi. I didnt mind bc I had nothing planned that day but otherwise, that wouldve been a bit extreme to be at a nail place. My technician, Peter, OMG, is by far the best in this industry. I met a nice lady there, another customer, bc well youre sitting there for over two hours, you stsrt conversing. We exchanged ph#s and will plan walking days in the neighborhood. While there, I had a Sex on the Beach cocktail then requested my go to drink, whiskey and Dr. Pepper. If youve never tried that before, please do... youre welcome :-)

Very pleasant experience, upbeat attitudes and overall great experience. Usually when I get my eyebrows done at the other salons in Cedar Hill I’m rushed on, the plucking hurts and they do a bad job. However, Donna who also does micro blading did a superb job on both my eyebrows and pedicure. Definitely top tier place to be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They do decent work. However, going here takes up a lot of time in your day. I almost always have to wait awhile before I am serviced. In my opinion, they seem to be short staffed. I recently scheduled an appointment with a specific nail tech. I made my appointment around 10:30am for a 1:30pm appt. I get there and I’m told that the person who I made the appointment with did not show up. I said ok, well will I be placed with a different nail tech for my appointment time and the guy told me I would have to wait behind the other customers…so basically I made an appointment for nothing. They could have contacted or informed me prior to appointment. It was a waste of my time and gas. I probably will not be returning.

Went in with a picture of what I wanted & walked out after 4 and a half hours that was pretty but that I absolutely hated. Spent $100 and was told but they are pretty & I do cheap for you turned around and drove over to the Desoto nail bar and had to have them fix my hands. I could not show up to work with 4 inch nails the next day . I work in the medical field. This place didnt even offer to correct this problem or issue a refund. I would NEVER recommend this place. I brought it a photo of a short set in teal and purple mermaid theme. This dude asked if he could freestyle the design not the whole concept. This experience was last Thursday. I waited to write this review because of how mad I was then.

Technician was kind of quiet but respectful and nice when I asked her something. I definitely go back to get my nails done again. Loved then, they were dipped in powder enough time to make them look natural and strong at the same time.

If I could give them a no stars, I would, Came in as a group of 4 had one of the members of the group wait an hour before even starting on her. They charge an extra $20 for gel and there was also a $5 glow in the dark charger that isn’t listed on the form.the fact that i had to pay 84 dollars for a pedicure and manicure is ridiculous. They need to let you know it is extra for a gel pedicure for your polish and what is glow in the dark mean??

Took a while to get seated, but once I was, they took their time and provided great care.

Id gone to Lila in the past and got exactly what I wanted. And Id prefer to have her do my nails every time. Shes so nice and careful not to nick me or cause pain. The atmosphere isnt the best anymore, but Lila does a good job. The male tech I had on my most recent visit 7/6/21 was more concerned with checking his multiple phones or watching videos on them WHILE DOING MY NAILS. Lila is the only reason Id go back.

My hands look like an amateur did them. Polish is all bumpy. Didnt realize until I looked at them in the sunlight. And the lady that did my pedicure hurt me 3 times!!!!

My daughter went with some friends to get their nails done. It was not even an hour and the nail fell off. Poor quality for the price. We went to fix and they charged $10 for a 1 color nail with a little heart that fell off the same day. Not going back. We explained the host what happened over and over again, it was not a misunderstanding.

I love this place!!! I live in Uptown and drive to Cedar Hill every 2 weeks because their work is fantastic and theyve got great techs.Demi knocked it out of the park today! She had to help me pick colors and I absolutely LOVE IT!

Nails turned out terrible. Short, thick and matte, not shiny. Looks like a two year old did it. Cant wait to go somewhere else to get them removed and redone. Never again!

Today was the 2nd time Ive been here. Ive never felt so uncomfortable with my nail tech, Lily. Since the moment I sat in her chair she did nothing but criticise my nails and got upset when I didnt agree on getting a new set. She had already charged me $5 extra for the color I chose, mind you my daughter was there at the same time getting a pedicure with the same color and she didnt get charged extra. Lily even told me not to be surprised when my nails lift early this time because she did suggest to get a new set. I had just got a new set 2 weeks ago I didnt see a reason to get a new set again. Peter did my nails very pretty the first time and was a lot nicer. Its poor taste to put down the work of your coworker since you work for the same company. If this review was only about Lily it would get NO stars. Its the host and my previous visit that make this nail shop a place to return to. Watch out for money hungry people like Lily.

I got the dipping powder and the lady dipping my nails like 7 times the the nails were super bulky. I was trying to tell her and she told me that she had to file it down and was not done yet. After she filed it down wit was un even again, so she reapplied more dip and filing again. My nails are not glossy and they do not look professional.My pedicure toenail polish is on my cuticles, the polish is not smooth and my toe nails are not even.This place is pretty but the technicians that I had today were inexperienced.

Not good today. I had a custom ombre color created 2 weeks ago. I came back today to have it filled. Confusion all over the board. The original mail tech denied providing the service and no one could match the color. It took a talk with the mgr to resolve the issue. So disappointing because I have never had an issue with the service before.

So I went to get my nails done twice here and both times i was pressured into spending more money than i originally planned. The second time i went the nail tech was pretty disrespectful. I spent 40$ on nails that I should have spent 20& on. Most likely won’t come here again. Not speaking for everyone though just my experience wasn’t the best. Also the top coat doesn’t cover the whole finger, quite disappointed.

I have come here a couple of times and over all I am satisfied. However I went there yesterday for a manicure and pedicure. My manicure turned out great but despite paying 55 dollars for the pampering pedicure I wasnt able to enjoy it because when my pedicurist used a nail file on my toes at the start of the pedicure and she filed the skin around my toe until it was raw. So for the whole pedicure my toe burned and every time she touched it burned more. Even after I told her my toe was burning she was still rough with it making it worse. It would be nice if nail technicians realized that nails are surrounded by skin and that skin is sensitive and not be so rough just to get done faster. The day after my pedicure and this is what my toe looks like -

I would’ve given this place 5 stars months ago before the management changed. I started coming here about a year ago and absolutely loved it! The customer service was awesome, prices were reasonable and the quality of service was great! Now, it seems as if they are under new management because the entire mood of the place has changed. We were not offered drinks during our pedicures, the warm welcome was missing & the woman that did my pedicure was literally texting while she was doing my feet. She also had air pods in, so even if I wanted conversation, I wasn’t going to get it. I’m super disappointed in the way this place has gone down in quality and will be looking to find a new regular nail salon. I wouldn’t recommend this place. There’s way too many options to go somewhere that’s subpar.

Let me start by saying I rarely get my nails done. Were talking every few years. I do not like salons, nail or otherwise. My friend trims my hair every few weeks in my office. Just want you all to know where Im coming from when I say I absolutely love this place. John and Ted are THE BEST. John showed me a new way to get my nails done that would last longer and look better. Ted gives AMAZING foot rubs. So to say that I have been back here pretty much every other week for the past couple of months is obviously saying a lot. They have a beautiful shop, great staff, and you cant go wrong with free drinks. My hands and feet have not looked this great (especially, consistently) for years!

I’m really patient and understand person but I did not like my experience here. My first time ever going to this shop was on Sunday 6/28. It’s really nice and super clean. Everyone I met was really nice too. My mani and pedi were awesome and I left super happy. Unfortunately the next day, the rhinestones began to fall off of my nails. I had one rhinestone placed on each nail near the the nail beds & by the end of today (7/1), 6/10 of the rhinestones had fallen off. The shop told me that they could fix them so I took time out of my day to get them fixed. The nail tech told me that it’s really common for rhinestones to fall off, I get it, but not 24hrs after getting it done. They were fixed rather quickly and it was a semi okay job but I was willing to just roll with it. What really thew me off was when I was charged a 5.00 “repair” fee. I asked why I was being charged if it wasn’t my fault that the quality of the work was poor and again, I was told, it was a repair fee that needed to be paid. Dude. I legit just dropped 100.00+ at your shop THREE DAYS ago, and you wanna charge me for me having to take time out of my day for you guys to fix your error? Nah. Not cool. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else.

LONG REVIEW:They only get 2 & not 1 because Ive been going to this salon for about a year. Initially I absolutely Loved it& have brought SO many new customers with me! But in the last few months their attention to detail has dropped tremendously...After my nails were supposedly done, I examined them and saw where My nail was separated from the artificial tip. I requested for it to be redone. But my initial tech just tried to paint over it, then just packed acrylic on the underside of MY actual nail. Then a 2nd tech came over & thought the best solution was to put glue right at the part where my skin meets the underside of my nail...essentially gluing them together!! Neither of them bothered to try to listen to what I was trying to say. And the owner, who I THOUGHT was doing a great job running the place, only suggested giving me 20% off after insisting the tech said that she told me to get a new set (Untrue). I left with my nails detached & rough (not filed or buffed at the tips) & HIGHLY disappointed at the way the situation was handled.

If I could give them 100 stars I would! Came in with my sister and our daughters for manicures and pedicures. The customer service was amazing! They offer all kinds of drinks and the facility is so clean and pretty.

Its been so hard trying to find a tech who files my nails properly and my tech did a great job, I even tipped generously because I was so happy with her work. To my surprise my nails broke the same day. I was on my way out of town so I couldnt go back and get it fixed. As the weekend went on my nails started to break off 1 by 1. I was in Vegas walking around with nail glue because they would break with the slightest touch. I got my nails done Thursday and by the time the weekend was over I was down to 4 nails. I just took them all off and finished my vacation with my bare nails. My pedicure was good I just wish more attention was paid to the polishing. Unfortunately I wasted $90 which is really sad because I absolutely loved my nail design and thought I found a new nail salon. The space is beautiful and I love the fact that their colors are in a book and not just laying around. I also love a good complementary cocktail so I started my birthday off a bit tipsy.

I got a pedicure but to wait into my feet is soaking to tell me that they charges to remove polish. Which make no sense. You cant do a pedicure without removing any nail polish you used previously. Never going back. I did like the free open bar

I have been here a couple of times and i was happy with my nails...but today i was not and i will not be returning. Jenny did my nails and they were different lengths and I was suppose to have coffin shape but that is not what i received and to be honest I really couldnt even tell you the shape. I will not be returning.

This is the best nail bar in DFW. The staff is helpful and the atmosphere is fun. Youll get the best quality and you can even have a cocktail while youre getting your nails done!

Joke is the best way to describe this place. I ask for something and then have to wait 30 minutes with my feet in cold water. Then when the person gets to me, I have to explain to them how to do their job properly. Then the person that was with me asked for a specific color and they wait until it is time to start painting nails to say that they dont have the specific color or how to do what was asked. Again A JOKE IS THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THIS PLACE

We asked 3 times for someone else to do my daughters nails. It was very clear that the person doing her nails had no idea what he was doing as he was asking other nail techs questions.Nails her uneven, bumpy he cut her several times in the process. When time to pay we told managentnwe asked you three times to find her someone.else and his response was we never gave him a chance and if we didnt pay he was calling the police. Not once did we say we were never going pay.Poor customer service. poor people skills, and apparently unlicensed people doing nails.

My nails came off within 4 days of getting them done at this location so I called and was told nothing could be done. The only option I was given was to pay full-price for a new set.

Me and my good friend went there for her birthday and got a full set with gel and a pedicure and I was utterly disappointed with the outcome. My pedicure was decent but when it came to the painting of the nail it felt very rushed and I dont believe there was enough attention put towards it, also my full set looks terrible it was a dreadful experience to endure from my shape to the painting of the nail it looks like a toddler did my nails. I asked for coffin shape and it basically looks almond round and my paint looks bubly and large rounded and its also shorter than I requested and when I told her about it she acted like thats what I asked for overall my experience was not I expected from what Ive seen from the google reviews.

I had a really wonderful experience here. I have been to dozens of nail salons in the DFW area and I would recommend this place highly.The decor is inviting and relaxing.
