I came to this salon, just wanting a quick, simple trim and blow dry because I was in town, for a conference. Im from the UK and dont usually trust hairstylists outside of London. I ended up getting the salon owner, Dana who delighted me in exceeding my expectations and she transformed my thinning, flyaway hair into a stylish and highly flattering cut that really boosted my confidence. I was so thrilled and I am just annoyed that Dana is not based in London! If I ever return to Carlsbad, Im heading straight back to Black & Brass!

I had the salon owner cut and color my hair. I really enjoyed the overall experience. Dana respected that I am not much of a talker and just focused on my hair, which was honestly a relief. She listened to what I wanted done, asked pertinent questions and gave me what I asked for, for a reasonable price. Sounds simple but I’ve been burnt by so many bad experiences that I’m happy to have found Dana. Clean, professional, and takes the time to listen and give you exactly what you want. Added bonus- she walked me through how to style and nurture my hair. Happy customer
