Shampoo and hot towel were nice. There was no bits of hair shrapnel afterwards so I didnt have to go straight home to shower and wasnt all itchy.

First time using Sports Clips and I was impressed which is generally hard to say about a hair cutting establishment. Clean, neat and the staff was fantastic. I will definitely be using them from now on.

Quick, friendly service. I usually choose “First Available” so I have been attended by several different stylists. They have all been great.

Haircut was rushed, under ten minutes for the whole thing. Lady did not follow instructions given and my haircut was not how I wanted it to be. The actual haircut was incredibly painful with my scalp being clawed away at by the comb. She was also very disrectful in her speech to me without showing an ounce of kindness. In the end, I left with less money, a bad hair cut, a hurt head, and a hatred for a business. Do not recommend.

Took my son here for his haircut.. Service was good as always. I love the online reservation system as it really reduces the wait time.Staff is always friendly and lately quality of the haircuts has definitely improved. There was s time where it was hit or miss.

Carly is awesome! Finally I have found someone who can cut my 4 1/2 year old, sons hair properly. Even when he wakes up in the morning it looks good! The hair falls so beautifully. She really took her time and understood his hair and head shape. With his new haircut he looks so cute!!! I highly recommend her!

My son (7) got a great cut from Nora. She took her time and I was really happy with the result. First time there and the whole appointment time via a wait list is a bit odd (my original appointment time didnt equal the time I was actually seen) but Im sure Ill get used to it.

The person who cut my hair seemed to be in a Big hurry. It was the quickest haircut I’ve ever had (10 minutes at the most). I usually decline the shoulder massage thing, but it wasn’t even offered this time around. She constantly dug the comb into my forehead/scalp, as she was moving so fast. To top off my experience, my hair was cut way too shot. I asked for a light trim on top.... But what I received was a buzz cut. She cut 3/4 of my hair off (2” down to 1/2”)I love the ease of appointment setting with the app, but I will not be returning. A $30 haircut should have been way better experience. Looks like I’ll be going back to V’s barbershop. At least I’ll get a free beer with a terrible $30 haircut.

Made an appointment with the online check in. Love it. Selected time and operator, Allison. I showed up 1 minute early and Allison was ready and waiting. She asked me how I wanted my haircut. And she repeated my request perfectly to make sure we were on the same track. The results were perfect the first time thru. Very efficient and professional. She knows what she’s doing. I walked out totally satisfied.

The wait was super short and there’s plenty of tvs to pass time. Rachel gave my one year old son his first haircut and she is awesome! She let me take pictures and gave me a piece of his hair. She was quick but detailed. She gave us a happy family memory. I recommend sport clips as a first haircut for kids because all the TVs distract them as well!

Great place if you want to be constantly stabbed with sheers due to improper use. And great place if you want your haircut botched. Avoid this place.

Brought our 2 boys in for a cut after 3 months of quarantine and they did a fantastic job. Very clean and maintained distance between guest and took every step to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Person who cut my hair outside was in a huge rush. Havent got a haircut in awhile and she mainly just buzzed and trim. 15mins and was done for $25. Usually spend $15 at American Barber and get a good 45min haircut with all areas covered with professionalism. She wet my hair and parted it wrong. No mirror so I couldnt tell. Now I have hairs sticking up in my part lol. She asked if i wanted the front of my hair trimmed. I said, no its ok. My hair is thinning and need some hair to show haha, but she did it anyways....Definitely wont be going here again. Rather cut my own hair till places are back open.

Dene was fantastic. She got me at the perfect length, and was very friendly and informative. I don’t want to tell anyone to go see her because then I may have to wait to get my hair done because everyone will request her haha.

Great haircut and service overall, even in these strange times, but the hairdresser did make one cut with the buzzer above my ear that was way too high and uneven. It will grow out but ideally that wouldnt happen.

I had an unusual request for a beard trimming on very short notice and was warmly greeted, and served by a wonderful stylist. I told her I had a meeting to attend within 30 minutes, she did a great job and got me out in 15 minutes.

Could of got the same quality haircut at Walmart. I dont blame the lady who cut my hair. I blame the manager who hired her.

I have been to Sport Clips all over Iowa and Illinois and one in San Marcos, but this one was by far the best experience I have had. Trista did a fantastic job in cutting my short hair. Made sure to go back and get all of the stray hairs after my wash, something that other places never seem to do consistently. I definitely will be coming back here after such a nice experience.

I have come here for well over a year. Though the stylists may change from time to time, they are pretty good. I love getting the MVP. Totally worth it in my book (I do the season pass). I call a few minutes before I get there, get out on the list and wait for Dene. She always cuts my hair and does a great job!

They will give you a decent to great hair cut, never had a bad experience. Lots of TVs to watch sports while you wait and during your cut. Friendly staff. We watched Croatia make it to the finals the last time I was there. Took the wife she got the MVP which is one of the deals where you get a neck massage and a warm towel while they wash your hair. If its your first time its free after that its around 30 dollars.

This was my first visit to Sports Clips. I loved the check-in process since I was able to do it on my phone and was almost immediately seated upon arrival. My stylist Carly was very welcoming, friendly and thorough. I will definitely be coming back for another haircut.

Was looking to get a haircut near my work and all others had either long wait times or needed appts. Came across this place and it turns out that Ana, who used to cut my hair years ago at another salon, is now working here. Man am I ever ecstatic to see her again! Its always great to have someone who knows how you want your hair cut.

I asked for a trimmed up look for my son who’s hair we wanted to grow out a bit. So we can see the ends of his hair under his beanie and baseball hat. He is 7. He has great hair with ends that curl. The first attempt looked like Carol Brady from The Brady Bunch. He had fringe around the back of his hair line to keep curls and rest combed straight down and flat. I had him cut the thin layer of fringe off. We left with a bowl cut, straight across the forehead. No style or layers. I went from wanting a trim to having to take him somewhere else today for #5 all over his head! He wanted a Mohawk, dad said no...does this sound like a kid who wants a Carol Brady fringey bowl cut?

I had a great experience. My stylist, Ashley S., asked questions to get a good idea of what I wanted for my cut. She checked with me as she went along and said she will make notes on what to use next time so that we wont have to start from scratch. She was a professional and I appreciate her work.

Great haircuts from very polite and friendly staff at a great price. Location is clean and in a nice area with free parking. The wait isnt usually long with no appointment but you can only call around 15-30 mins ahead.

They spam me heavily with survey ads every time I go. Every day for two weeks after every cut I get texts and emails insisting I take their survey. The stylists even pushed it heavily while I was a patron. Your answer is no. I will take my business somewhere else.

I haven’t been to a barber in years, so I was pretty hesitant to stop by. Thankfully, George did a great job at asking me how I’d like my hair to look, and throughout the process, he made sure I was okay with what he was doing. In the end, he did a solid job, and I plan to come back to him the next time I need a trim.

It was a good haircut and the hairdresser was very professional however she didnt ask if I wanted the premium package, she just assumed I did. I paid the money but I didnt need a massage, I certainly didnt intend to pay for something I didnt ask for but I didnt want to hold up the line and be rude.

Im a big fan of the sports clips franchise recently moved to Carlsbad and have been to this location five times three of which have been highly dissatisfying. one staff member complained about a $5 tip I gave her on a 30 second trim she gave my daughter and charged me 25.00 for! im pretty sure half of the hairdressers there are from a different planet! I wouldnt go there unless you are a marine and what a high and tight!If you want a great haircut try Bressi Ranch!

It was my first time trying Sport Clips Haircuts of Carlsbad. I went with a friend. The stylist was very professional, however when we were paying. I was charged $19 and my friends haircut was $23 I believe due to the Adult MVP treatment, which I didnt get. And then when I pressed $5 tip it raised my price to $23. Making both $23 plus the $5 tip. Just a bit confusing as how the prices work.

No wait. I checked in and sat right down. A guy cut my hair, i am used to it being all women employees. The guy was great. Funny. Talkative. I couldnt tell you his name only because of my lack of foreign name remembering skills. Bald dude, from Russia. He said he is Albanian. I dont know a thing about hair cuts, but to me I noticed he used a differnt than..typical style. Very fast. And apparently very talented. I really like the hair cut. He got right to work after our greetings. And he did not waste time. If the guys that work on my crew were only as efficiant... Excellent work, to our excellent haircutting friend from the Cold. Sure am glad he chose California. Lol. I will be a return customer.

Ive been to this location a couple times now and have never had a friendly visit. All of the barbers seem to hate their job and it reflects in their work. I wont be returning and wouldnt suggest this location to anyone else.

This place is hit or miss, depending on who you get. Can get busy. Check in and put is smooth and they are constantly improving that process. Cant beat the price.
