After a very lengthy process of shopping for new flooring and several companies that had complicated processes, a friend recommended Floor Designs Unlimited. I am certainly glad they did. I chose a pet friendly, Mohawk LVP and it has been easy to maintain. My entire downstairs was done in two days, my furniture was handled with care and the end result is beautiful!

I had some laminate that needed to be installed the right way, so I figured Id give em a try. Theyre reasonably priced and Im happy with the work done on my floors. 👍

Please do yourself a favor and have a professional install your flooring. These con artists sold us a floating floor that supposedly is better than traditional nailed floor. You can feel the air pockets underneath, feel dips and you can hear the floor slapping against the subfloor, no subflooring checked or leveled, no underlayment was used. There are areas where the floor dips down which they said was the subfloor and did not even try to level or correct before install and refused to correct. There are gaps between the floor and quarter round trim. The trim around the stairwell was never installed and they tried to shove paper under dips to make it look level. We will unfortunately have to redo all our flooring in the house due to this disasterous installation and they refused to correct it.. They are absolutely more concerned about getting in and out quickly than learning how to install a job properly. So unless you want to do your floors twice, find a professional company that stands behind their services.

We had our kitchen floor redone. I do like how they jump on the project really fast. The floor looks good and they did put it down fast. They had to custom build a threshold for us. They had issues with getting the floor to match up. The problem i have is that it took 2 weeks to build it and only called me once. I had to call several times to finally get a answer on when it will be ready. I just wanted to be updated on the process. When they came and put it down the guys did show me that it was to high for the floor they put down. They left it and told me they would go back and talk about the issues. I then waited several days before they came back and tried to raise the floor. Then the guys left it acting like it was great. Once i really walked on it i realized the floor moved really bad. I had to call again. The owner then told me that they told him it moved. Which made me mad because they sure didn’t tell me the issue when they was here. They came up with another idea to fix it. They cut the threshold. Seems like the best idea. The joints where it meets comes loose that i feel like I’m just going to have to fix myself. Where they cut the threshold its all ruff and I’m going to try and sand it myself as well. It doesn’t fit alone the floor like it should. I’m not very pleased how it looks. I am to the point where i don’t feel like they will ever get it right and don’t want to call them again. If you need a really simple job i think they are ok. If it’s going to be longer and big job there will be issues alone the way and the Communication is not always the best. They have a lot of call outs and can not always come when they say they can.***UPDATE***The owner came out with a new threshold to fix the issues. I was made aware that with the quote I was given was not including the custom threshold. The owner wants to make it look the best even at his own expense with the custom threshold.

So far I give them a one star. I had them put down some Mohauk Vinyl in my up stairs play room. About a year and a half later the vinyl started to buckle. They came out right away to look at it and then said it was BASICLY not their problem but a manufacture problem and they would have to contact a rep to come and see it. That was almost 3 months ago. I have been to the store twice and called them twice and all I get is the same answer, a rep has to contact you SERIOUSELY it takes that long for a Mohauk sales rep to return a call to YOU? I would think twice about using this company. Yes they do good work installing, yes they are great at clean up and yes they do have have lot of selection and yes they are very friendly. But I hope you do not have a problem with your after purchase. Because you may get the brush off.
