If you are looking for a beautiful venue to have a wedding or party please check out the Tewksbury Lodge. Chef Kevin is awesome to work with. His food was delicious. We received many compliments from our guest. The staff were awesome too! So happy we picked the Tewksbury for our event.

First time visiting this establishment. Was in for a wedding reception loved the indoor outdoor dining option as our party had the whole place booked for the night. Lovely atmosphere right on the water with a great view of the city. Food was excellent and the staff went above and beyond expectations. I would recommend stopping to book your own event here

We booked Tewksbury in early March of 2020 for our July 17, 2021 wedding. The day itself went off perfectly. The food was fantastic and its a beautiful unique venue. However, the planning process was a little overwhelming and unorganized.We obviously had to continually adjust our initial plans to accommodate for any covid restrictions. We went from inside seating to outside seating and ended up being able to accommodate all 96 guests inside for dinner and utilized the wharf for ceremony space and dance floor. It rained all day but we had plenty of room under the covered patio and we had the sides pulled down, it definitely saved the day.With it not being a traditional wedding venue I do think you miss out on the guidance you would get from a venue who only does wedding or has an event coordinator. You deal exclusively with Chef Kevin, who is fantastic and truly does everything he can to make sure your day is perfect, but seemed overwhelmed and overworked at times. The owner Peggy is non-existent throughout your entire experience, from booking, the initial meeting, and during your event, all questions and communications are with Chef Kevin. During the height of Covid I had reached out to Peggy via email and phone on multiple occasions and waited almost two weeks for a response. It wasnt until I threatened to find another venue before I received a call back. With Chef Kevin it was always whatever you want which is great but also stressful because there wasnt any guidance or help planning and running the day and I considered myself a pretty easy breezy bride. I think its a fantastic place for a shower or birthday party or for a bride who is super organized and doesnt mind planning out exactly how youre entire wedding would go. Or hire a wedding planner!All that aside, the end result was just as Chef Kevin promised, absolutely perfect. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing, the venue is stunning and the staff was so kind and professional.

This is a great place for an event all year round but it is especially great on a nice day because they have an awesome porch that looks out over the water and a side yard full of great green space. We set up games out there for a family party and it was awesome! It made it feel like we were at someone’s house. Staff is very friendly and helpful! :)

Celebrated my 50th birthday there! Food was delicious, staff were available and friendly and the view off the patio was amazing! Chef Kevin was awesome!! Highly recommended!

Second time here for a training event. As a REALTOR in WNY, I like to have a list of places to recommend to clients, and this place is great! If you are looking for a place to have a banquet, reception, training or any other type of large gathering, this place is worth checking out! Space may be a limiting factor depending on the size of your event - but the location along the Buffalo River and the food makes me give it 5 stars!

We had our wedding here and everything went great. The food was amazing and the venue was very accommodating. The staff was very respectful and kind. Chef Kevin did a great job with the food and all of our guests were very happy with it. Price wise it was very reasonable.

Great place for business meetings and seminars. The food was good and the service was friendly. Beautiful view of the canal and Riverworks.

Had my bridal shower here and the experience was fantastic! Chef Kevin and his team were so attentive, were able to accommodate every request we made, and made all of our guests feel special. The food was to die for (they were able to handle gluten free and vegetarian options) and venue was gorgeous. The staff personally attended to anyone who needed anything and seemed genuinely happy to help. Will definitely be having more events here in the future!

Just attended a wedding reception here. Stayed in line with COVID requirements almost obsessively.But it turned out great! Food was to die for. Roast beef was melt in your mouth tender, fresh veggies cooked perfectly, strawberry/blueberry spring mix salad (YUM!!!), HUGE bone-in breaded pork chops.....The desserts were mouth watering de-lish! While we were relaxing after dinner the chef made zucchini bread from scratch...with pecan/walnut crust...that was nothing short of AMAZING!!!!DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

Had my sisters wedding there in December. Beautifully decorated. It was warm and cozy. Food was delicious and not the ordinary wedding food. So good! Service was great and manager/chef was wonderful to work with . He has a real sense of humor! The owners have a real heart for people. It will be beautiful in the spring or summer too on the river! Small parking lot next to the building but the majority of the Parking is across the street in a huge lot/stone cover field so be careful with high heels. Great experience with fantastic people!

Waitress was friendly but wait time from arrival to food was over one hour and 15 minutes.. Had to ask twice to get order taken. Food was mediocre. The place itself is new, clean and pleasant. The view on a beautiful summer day was outstanding. If you have hours to spare and aren’t fussy about the food, you will like Tewksbury.

What a great location and quality dining experience. The layout of this place is perfect for events and it’s open and clean and sits right on the water. The food was hot and so flavorful and delicious with really great staff as well.

Had a banquet style gathering there with family. The food was great. Ive cooked professionally for years and it can be hard to to do big quantities with be style. Also great view of the canal and silos.

We had a big Realtor training at this facility and it was awesome. Comfortable fitting all of us about 75. The kitchen worked in the background and had our delicious lunch ready at noon. Food was good and the staff was very friendly.

Great place for an event! We had our annual customer appreciation party here on a beautiful September night. The venue was perfect and the food delicious. Chef Kevin Betty promised us wonderful food and great service and he did not disappoint. We had delicious meatballs, artichoke dip, pulled pork sliders, arancini and more. Chef Betty made sure the food kept flowing and was available throughout the night. His wait staff was excellent.

Recently had our company holiday party here and it was phenomenal. Although we were a smaller sized group, Mike was very accommodating. The set up was beautiful and the food was amazing. From start to finish, the booking process was a breeze. I definitely recommend this hidden gem for any major occasion!

Attended August 1st private affair for Buffalo Niagara Travel Professionals. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and staff. Employees fun and very attentive. The turkey was to die for - very tender and accompanied by good salads. Booking another event due to this wonderful night!

Was at an all day training at Tewksbury Lodge today. What great food! Usually when lunch is included during a function, its fair at best. I would highly recommend.

Just don’t.After a beautiful morning kayaking, 3 of us stopped for Brunch. Waited 25 minutes for drinks. Forgot one. Waited 45 minutes for lunch. Sausage sandwich special...uncooked center. Wings were good (wow) no blue cheese. Hamburger came 25 minutes later. waited 20 more minutes for the check. Very confused staff. Not a good look. Especially for the lovely couple next to us who were in Buffalo for the first time. We directed them elsewhere. Sad.Nice view.

Great experience. Food was great. Fantastic wings, with a great sauce. Beef on weck sandwich was great. Great customer service, and prices. Convenient bus shuttle to Key bank center for Sabres games.

Why I am rating them 3 stars - I am not sure if they dont have a/c or if it wasnt working but the temperature inside was very warm and there was zero air circulation. The food was nothing memorable. I was with a group of approximately 100 and the acoustics were not the greatest. Lastly, I was really disappointed in the atmosphere. I had imagined it was going to be a charming, restored interior but it was more of a bland box that could have been 500 other event venues. The outside was nice. Overall just a miss.

Went for Easter lunch and it was terrible. Dont get me wrong the food was good for a buffet style lunch however the service was terrible. First we were told we could wait for our table at the bar or one of the cocktail tables near by and it would only be a few minutes. Our reservations were for 1:45 and were not seated til 2:10pm while there were visibly empty tables. We never saw a server and had to ask for our own silverware, drinks, extra plates when the buffet ran out, and we even had to cut out own meat at the carving station because no one came over after 5 minutes of standing there. When we asked for the bill and they asked who our server was we said we didnt have one so one of the servers decided to take it upon herself to assign herself our table and then she asked if we wanted to put a tip on the card. When we said no because we never even had a server to tip she walked away laughing. Then after we wrote a comment on the lack of service on the signed copy of the receipt she decided to crinkle it up and throw it in the trash (which for anyone who runs a business knows is a big no no!). So unfortunately we will not be returning because you never get a second chance to make a first impression and the impression we got was awful.

If Im being honest, we were a little skeptical going in. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and the booking and planning process with them didnt exactly inspire the confidence to make us 100% comfortable, but they really proved us wrong in the end. That is the only reason for the -1 star. Kevin, the head chef, is awesome! Very friendly and was a pleasure to work with. Truly. Do yourself a favor and ask for some of his manicotti... 🤤🤤 they gave us a great deal on the beer/wine bar and the evening went off without a hitch. Definitely recommend this place for a similar event.

I would highly recommend Tewksbury Lodge because of the high quality service the scenic location/beautiful decor and space between tables .They even have a beautiful fireplace where the staff was kind enough to take our pictures . Party of 8 for Sunday brunch 12pm, not a busy day, plenty of empty tables. 10+ minutes after our order placed the waitress came back and apologized but their were no hamburgers so 1 guest had to pick her selection again, not a big deal (but who runs out of burgers 🍔) meal came, my Rubin was totally burnt on the bottom, smelled burnt too, yuck! So I asked for a do over, she went off to the kitchen to reorder my sandwich, She comes back a few minutes later and takes my plate with the French fries I was enjoying, only to bring back my Rubin with wheat bread! Toasted! Not Rye, not grilled! What the heck! And the fries were the ones from my old plate/luke warm and soft! Another meal, mild chicken fingers were swimming in sauce along with the fries. I could go on but it was just a bad experience overall. Restraunt is clean, nice location by the water. But service and food was sub-par! Other guests meals were good including 2 other RubensPaid the bill and tipped as we should, but won’t be back.

We waited 15 minutes for our drinks..another 20 minutes after that for them to take our order and then and hour to get our food that was awful..I ordered over easy eggs and they were over hard. Other people at our table didnt get what they ordered right either. I will never go back!

Owner/ Manager is rude and doesn’t know the first thing about politeness or customer service. We have dined here twice before today’s visit...food was fine (nothing special but ok) each time we visited we were one of only two or three other tables dining which we always found surprising because the venue and location is absolutely beautiful.This morning we found out why they are never busy (unless there is a festival in the park next door).This morning we visited for two reasons...one to sit on the patio for breakfast and the other was to take another look at the venue to consider it as a wedding location.Apon parking on the street we quickly took our Shihtzu puppy out for a pee....He chose the first tree he saw (out by the curb) and took a pee. The owner/Manager just happened to be walking past us at the same moment...she yelled at us and our puppy to pee somewhere else and then proceeded to tell us we better clean up after him!This morning this restaurant lost two things by being rude and presumptive...one they lost our breakfast order and two the lost our wedding!

I was invited to an all white party, for a friends B-day, the Tewksbury Lodge, is a beautiful place with views of the Erie river, the staff were great, the food was good and drinks were superb. I would recommend this place for wedding receptions, graduations, family gatherings etc. Beautiful to take pictures as the room we were in open out to the view of the water, as it got dark, many of us went out their and how beautiful was it to watch the sunset stunning. I didnt know Buffalo had this little gem tuck back in the South side of Buffalo, especially since I kind of grew around that area with my cousins who lived over their. This area is like another little world over here, beyond Tewksbury Lodge theirs beautiful apartment bldgs a beautiful park yet still close to downtown Buffalo. So folks this is a must see for that next special event. Directions to this place is especially easy if you know where Buffalo Casino is. So if you get on Michigan st go all the way to South Park, passing the Casino on the left, their is a light @ the corner of Michigan an South Park straight ahead is a big steel bridge but your not going to go over it, when you come thru that light, before you get to that bridge your going to make a quick left on Ohio st.down a little ways on the right side is this Gem. My daughters wedding was this past weekend and it was phenominal. We were able to bring in the decorations she wanted so her winter wonderland wedding was just beautiful. The food was delicious and the staff was so polite and accomodating that we had nothing to worry about. Bar service was great and the cost was very very reasonable. Our guests are still texting me how they loved tbe venue. I highly recommend booking your special occasion at the Tewksbury Lodge !!!
