On July 14 I totaled my 2018 Jeep Renegade. Given how hard I got hit in the accident, I was super impressed with how well it fared. I decided I wanted another one but wasn’t able to find one in the area until I drove through Godwin’s lot in Brunswick and there was the Black Beauty in all her gleaming glory! Since I purchased my other car in 2018, my credit unfortunately sustained a substantial hit, but I thought if I didn’t try I wouldn’t know. So I went in and the salesperson I dealt with was Alexis Getchell and I must say that from the word go, she was amazing. Zero pressure, none. I explained my credit situation and rather than blowing me off, she assured me if anyone could help, their finance team could. So I told her the car I was interested in and she said “No problem.” I test drove it and fell in love with it and figured that is where it would end and I’d leave in the jalopy I arrived in. I gave all my information to the finance department and they began working their magic. Because it was late in the day and the manager at the Credit Union he wanted to use was gone for the day he was unable to secure the loan yesterday because the algorithms didn’t work in my favor and he needed to explain certain things to the manager. He told me he was confident he could make it happen. I was still skeptical given my situation but he remained positive. So I went home. This morning before I was barely awake, I get a text from Alexis stating she has some great news. Now, I worked in car sales once upon a time and I know the sales idea of great news and the customer’s idea of great news is vastly different. Yesterday I explained I had a certain amount to put down and couldn’t go over a certain monthly payment. So, I figured they were going to hit me with some ungodly interest rate and be way over my target payment. Boy, was I wrong! I don’t know how they did it but including GAP insurance (which I highly recommend to anyone financing a vehicle) they came in way under what I told them my target payment was and the interest rate for someone with troubled credit was crazy low. I don’t know what sorcery they used, but I certainly tip my hat to them. There was a piece missing from the front bumper that just snaps in place and Alexis even ordered a replacement out of her own pocket before I left. This review may be long winded but I want to make sure anyone who reads this knows that these folks aren’t your typical car salespeople. They truly care about their customers and aren’t looking to screw anyone. I believe I was treated very fairly and with the utmost of respect. Our Sales person Natasha was great. Very personable and easy to deal with. She even called my insurance company to get the car put on the insuranceIve never had that done for me from any dealership. The whole process was very straight forward. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because it took so long for the paperwork to be brought out for signatures. We were there for close to 5 hours. We did test drive 2 vehicles but I did a lot of things online but it didnt seem to matter. I know car buying is a process but there should be a way to cut the time in half. I would recommend this dealership even though it took longer than expected. It was definitely worth the trip. I love my new Mazda CX-5. If you go in ask for Natasha you will have a great sales experience!

I went in yesterday to try and get approved for a Mazda CX3. Although approval was granted, the sales manager (Dave) asked that I put $4000 down.I wasnt able to do that, and offered $2,500. I was told they couldnt help me, despite there unwillingness to drop the price of the vehicle, which had several major scratches. This inspired them to push a paint protection plan, which I informed them I was not interested in. Numerous hours later, I walked away empty handed, as this crew was neither friendly, nor helpful. I would never offer them my business or time again.
Excellent front-of-house service, but someone in the garage appears to be a little underhand. I was told I needed new front brake pads (for $485). I put it off until the end of the month because I’d already spent enough on that visit and was told to listen out for any grinding (understandable, since I know that means the rotors would now be affected).I took the car for a second opinion while I was in Portland and, lo and behold, after their inspection they said the front brake pads are only at half life. Unfortunately, it cost me $50 to get an accurate account, but much better than being out of pocket for ten times that amount.
I came in this morning just to compare trucks and felt welcomed and not pressured at all. I was able to test drive a couple different trucks and Ray and the IAM team was able to beat all other deals out there. Thank you again!
