Here for work from out of state. Went in for a basic manicure. Told the receptionist do you have availability for a pedicure? (Hence, indicates I do not have an appointment). Blonde receptionist says sure, have a seat in one of those two chairs I say okay thank you I start walking away and hear her say thank you catherine but as I am walking away I have no idea whom she was talking to. Put my feet in to soak. Then said receptionist walks up to me and asks me if I am Catherine. I say no, give her my name and she says oh you dont have an appointment and we dont have time to get you in. She walks over and takes away the foot tub and her nor the owners offer any compensation or anything to me for their mess up! Rude, embarrassing, inconsiderate and unprofessional.
Such a wonderful morning with my friends getting pampered the day before my wedding. Comfortable chairs, relaxing atmosphere, friendly and beautiful souls working here.
The Nail Studio is and always has been a very accommodating, friendly, clean and professional nail salon. I have been a client for at least 4 years and have NEVER seen anyone turned away in a rude manner or treated unprofessionally. I was in the salon the same day as Shawnda Tiernan and witnessed what actually happened. Her revisionist story has not one semblance of truth, except that she did come in and sit down for a pedicure. However that is where her version of the day differs from reality. She did not come in and ask for a pedicure from the Blonde receptionist, whose name is Beth and happens to be an extremely kind and helpful ~ ALWAYS. I happened to noticed Ms. Tiernan when she came in and Ms. Tiernan did not ask if there were any openings for a pedicure. Beth did ask if her name was Catherine, but perhaps Ms. Tiernan didnt hear or realize that she was being addressed. Often times when I think someone has asked me a question or if I heard a question asked with no response, I ask the questioner to repeat the question or ask if they were speaking to me. (I am a big fan of more communication rather than less. It seems to cut down on confusion that can lead to conflict.) At any rate, at no time was Ms. Tiernan treated with any disrespect. She did go over to the pedicure station and was there for approx. 15-20 min. When Beth realized that Ms. Tiernan was not the client that had an appointment, she was told that there was a misunderstanding. At that point Ms. Tiernan raised her voice and created a scene. Beth went out of her way to accommodate Ms. Tiernan, saying she would personally give her a pedicure, even though there wasnt a technician available, as everyone was booked that day. Ms. Tiernan loudly refused and would not even let Beth use a towel to dry her feet off. At no time did anyone take the soaking tub away from her. She insisted on putting her wet and soapy feet directly in her socks and proceeded to make a scene. She was loudly proclaiming she would make sure the managers would hear about this. About 5-10 minutes after leaving the salon, Ms. Tiernan called the salon, not once, but twice. She was continuing to make threats to contact the manager and make sure to let them know she would be giving a bad review. Ms. Tiernan has made good on her promise, she did leave a bad review. But her account of what happened that day is pure fiction and should not be taken into consideration when reviewing whether or not to try out The Nail Studio. Her review is an account of someone having a bad day and taking it out on a kind person and a fantastic business. If you do try The Nail Studio out, you will be more than happy with the services provided; all of the technicians are great!(As an aside, if the salon has openings for walk-ins, the receptionist will put a temporary standing sign out saying walk-ins welcome. The sign was not out that day and I heard Beth tell several people that there were no openings for walk-ins, both customers who walked in the door and over the phone. No on reacted the way Ms. Tiernan did)
I always have a fantastic experience at The Nail Studio. Friendly staff, high quality products, and a peaceful, non-pretentious atmosphere where I always look forward to pampering myself. While slightly pricier than the cheaper nail salons in town, I find that its worth every penny for the quality and experience you get - and to support a local, women-owned business. Tien does a great job every time!
These women are THE BEST! Came here with some of my wedding party to get our nails done before the big day and let me just say -- Our nails have never looked better! They did an absolutely exceptional job and pampered us like royalty! My gels lasted 3 weeks without any chips (they were just SO LONG I couldnt take it anymore)! This is a great place to go for any special occasion or really anytime its nail time! I cant speak more highly of their entire staff! Thank you!!
My first visit as a Walk in client. I was greeted with a very friendly welcome, The manicure service I requested was a little more expensive comparable to what I have paid at other local nail salons. I really liked my first impression. Quaint, popular, and not overly crowded. So, I was willing to try this salon.. Thank you Shandra for the great dip powder manicure & waxing! I look forward to my appointment booked next Month.
I called last minute and they had an opening. The owner greeted me and offered tea or water. The nail technician was friendly and did a fantastic express manicure in under 30 minutes. I love having that fast option which includes cuticle care, polish, file, and cuticle oil. Lovely!
I LOVED this salon. It was peaceful, the vibe of everyone working together was harmonious and Debbie, one of the nail technicians is seasoned, kind and honestly, it was the best pedicure I ever received.Added bonus...I am very cautious about foot hygiene and was delighted to find out this salon uses individual copper basins which have an antimicrobial quality and foot bacteria of any kind dies upon contact.
I absolutely loved this place! I highly recommend this place. Debbie, one of the nail tecnitions, gives the best manicures and pedicures I have ever gotten! My husband also got a facial from Marisa, the esthetician, and he absolutely loved it. Overall it was a great experience! We will be going back!
Woman at front desk extremely rude and not nice ! It’s not that hard to smile at a paying customer!!! Never coming back. Don’t go also overpriced!
Unfortunately, I never got to experience any services from them because I had a terrible experience booking appointments for multiple people with them. The woman I spoke to constantly interrupted me and spoke over me. Customer service is not their strong suit.
The staff are lovely, and so are the facial services, but I cant recommend this place for nails at all, simply because the lighting in the main area is so harsh and awful. The uber-bright fluorescent lights make the experience of getting a manicure/pedicure feel anything but relaxing...and they also seem unnecessary -- they could have some lovely halogen lights or old-timey lightbulbs up high, and then could have brighter lights just on the feet or hands receiving treatment. Its as if they havent been informed that many people cant tolerate the frequency of fluorescent lights without getting terrible headaches or migraines. If they change their lighting strategy I will update this review accordingly.
Had a very nice experience here!
They dont do acrylics.👎
