These wonderful ladys take great care of you. I have never had a pedicure before but treated myself to one today, i felt Completly comfortable and welcomed. Chairs gave me a awesome back massage. Everyone so nice. Jennifer is a doll, overall a great experience! 6stars

I went for a regular manicure, and it was supposed to be 30 mins. The whole experience was horrible, the worker kept on entertaining other clients and totally ignored my manicure. She spent 1 hour because she kept interrupting. Another client showed up and the worker moved away to do her stuff. The nail polish wont dry after sitting there for 20 mins which she fixed and sat another 20 mins but the color wont dry.Wont recommend

Best quality gel manicure on Newbury street. The place is always busy (because its so good) so I like to call ahead and make sure they have someone ready for me. Im from Venezuela and love that every time I go theres groups of international students getting their nails done... feels like being in a Hispanic salon and brings back good memories of getting my nails done with aunts and cousins. Jennifers is the best and their clientele knows it!

This is the first time I’ve tried Jennifer Nails, and I must say I was unsure of what to expect considering the reviews. I was very surprised and pleased by how well the staff treated me, the cleanliness, color choices, and the immaculate detail of my pedicure. Will come back!!

I enjoyed this salon. I had gel polish removed and applied. They sat me right away and were friendly and helpful. They also can do pedicures, dip nails, or regular. I believe they do eyebrows and other services but I only did the manicure. Finally, I was happy I could pay and tip with Venmo since I usually don’t carry cash.

KIMMY IS AMAZING.I cant speak for the nail services but I am in love with my lash extensions. Kimmy works wonders - my refills are always on point and done in a timely manner. I cant refer her enough! The salon itself is clean and everyone seems friendly, too!

Have been here a few times now for my gel manicures and they do a great job, no chips in 2 weeks and they take good care of you while you’re there.

The worst customer service

Today I visited Jennifer nails salon. It really make me surprised because of their services and prices. The guy named Steven did the whole manicures for me. I am extremely satisfied with his excellent jobs and just amazingly cost 35 bucks for this gel. Highly recommend.

My daughter and i stopped in for pedis. we were taken right in and seated but then several people came in behind us. It was pretty clear that we were being rushed through so they could accommodate more people. It was more like a polish change than a relaxing pedi - rushed. no massage. Done! $30 please. Awful

I think this place is disgusting. I wanted a gel manicure but decided not to go through with the full manicure because the tools werent sealed. I did let the guy paint the gel on my nails but even that was a mistake. The guy didnt even polish my full nail. Its such a messy polish job. I doubt it will last 2 weeks. I went to the lady at the front and showed her my messy nail polish and she just looked around as if she was trying to do something but I didnt feel like she cared at all. Quickly I just said thank you and walked out. Dont go to this place.

Ive never had any issues getting my nails done here. I usually get acrylics done with Kevin or Matt and they do a great job and care about what they are doing, quality of my nails and what I want them to look like, and making them last for me. I was traveling a couple months ago and I broke one of my nails when lifting my suitcase. They fixed my nail and re-painted my gel on all my fingers no cost when other places would charge me an arm and leg for 1 nail and gel color. Overall their service is just fine and prices extremely reasonable, especially for Newbury St., and a lot of their customers are returnees which tells you something positive.

Terrible salon with rude inexperienced staff! Worst gel manicure and pedicure I have ever had and I travel around the states with work. My nails were cut short when I wanted them above the finger tip and when I complained they spoke loudly about me in their language. The service was rushed and they paid no attention to detail. Surprised salons like this one are allowed to stay open for business. Very disappointed

I came to Jennifers for the first time today and it was awesome! I didnt have to wait at all and there were tons of polish colors to choose from (lots of Essie too!). I got shellac on my fingernails and regular polish on my toes and I love them both!

Honestly this place is horrible it’s unsanitized! & the tools are not sealed they are filthy & the gel dryer thing was hotter then usual i wouldn’t recommend coming here!

Please never come here to get your nails done. There are plenty of places in the area that have a much nicer environment, and actually respect their customers. Im never the type to complain or write reviews, especially with small businesses, but I had to go out of my way to write this review because of my recent experience. A friend and I came to this nail salon for a good experience since we have not gotten our nails done in a while. I was not happy with my nails, and neither was she. They cut my nails way too short and did not shape them properly, when I specifically requested the length and shape I wanted. They ended up being uneven, and I could have shaped them better myself. We all have had bad experiences at nail salons so I still paid full price for the services (which was NOT worth the $53). But the main issue was the way the owner talked to us. We were upset with the way our nails turned out, but the owner insisted that the crooked nails were done perfectly and we just disagreed. A simple apology would have been more than enough, but instead she started raising her voice and yelling. Her behavior as a business owner was unacceptable and I would not recommend anyone to go there (its not even cheap, you can get a mani pedi for so much cheaper down the street). Every other female I interacted with at the salon (before this incident) also said they will not be returning to this salon because they were not happy with their nails, so I guess it is not just me.

I have been going to this salon for years because of the quality of their work and their customer service. Ive tried other nail salons closer to my home (so I do not have to pay for parking) but always return to this one because the price is great and so far, I can not find other salons that are as consistently good as this one.

As a visitor to Boston, I was appalled by the service of Jennifers Nail & Skin Salon. I stopped in for a pedicure 1 hour before close and was rushed through the service like a fast food restaurant. The pedicure was average at best with little cleaning and attention. Once the technician was finished, he grabbed my hand to escort me to the drying station. In the process, I tripped over the washing station and ruined two of my toes. Instead of offering to fix it, he quickly grabbed the polish and painted over the rippled polish, painting my toes instead of the nail in the process. I politely asked if he could remove the polish and start fresh on the two toes and he groaned and moaned trying to convince me that his first attempt at fixing the problem was fine. After a little convincing I was able to get him to redo the two nails. I finally made it to the drying station with no hiccups when the owner asked for my credit card and I politely told her I would pay when I leave as I didnt want to part with my card. I was then yelled at by the owner for not trusting her with my credit card and subsequently, had to listen to her walk away while shouting in another language. I cant believe this salon maintains business on such a prestigious street and would definitely not recommend it to tourists or locals.

Quality was good and my nails looked good but the technician overcharged me and couldnt explain why, when my friend paid $35 for the advertised deal, I paid $56??When another technician stepped in to try and see what was wrong, mine interrupted and gave him a be quiet look and said something in another language. When I tried to tie on my Visa I was told they only take cash tip and I had to go to the CVS to take cash out. I told them Im not from that country and I cant take cash out, I was told I had to tip with cash.The worst part was I saw the same technician take another girls card and put a tip on hers. I felt pretty cheated. Shady.

I used to go to this place every week to get a manicure but will not be returning. The employees are very rude. The beginning of my manicure was rushed and one of the nail techs (Philip) kept asking for a tip even before he painted my nails. He told me 3 times that tip is by cash or venmo. I always tip but I also think tips should be voluntary and I dont see why I should be pressured to tip before my nails are painted. I told him I would tip him after. I was about to tip before I left when he yelled at me to venmo him money. He even entered his venmo into my phone but I chose not to tip. I ended up not tipping because I found it to be so rude. Ive never had an experience like this and I would recommend choosing other nail salons in the area.EDIT: This was at the 224 newbury street location.

The young girl who made my nails this morning is completely rude. Came in this place more than once and never had problems. Perfect job and professional employees but this morning Ive been completely disappointed by the rudeness of this person. Not even saying thank you or bye but almost the whole time being pissed or looking at me in an angry way. It was 10am and nobody was there yet. Honestly I expect more kindness and courtesy from a nail shop, especially in the morning time. ( theyve been open only for one hour). ps. I had to remind her to give me the cream once the work was finished

This place is TERRIBLE. The woman scratched my nails and cut my fingers and did my acrylic nails completely wonky. When I told her to correct it she turned around to her employee and started speaking to her in Chinese about me. I asked for a discount and the manager started yelling at me and said she would call the police. WORST nail salon in Boston! Do not go here

I asked for a full set and it came out so bad, one of the employees cut my fingers and didnt even apolagize. At first I was told it would be $50 and it ended up being $65!!! I think some of these 1 star reviews are fake. I have been going to Jennifers for years and I have never had the experiences folks are describing. The place is always clean and I get good service, 99% of the time. Honestly, it is on Newbury Street. There is no way this place would survive in very competitive environment if some of these claims were actually true. I recently moved to MEDFORD and work in CAMBRIDGE and I am still willing to journey all the way to Back Bay because I am often greeted by JENNIFER and she is incredibly sweet, responsive and invested in your good experience. Ive had classic, spa, and SNS manicures; pedicures, facial and bikini waxing... even a brazillian. GREAT service. Do not miss out by believing all of the negative hype. Check this place out for yourself.

Yells at customers. The owner YELLED in my face because I wad complaining about the wrinkles on the nail polish. She refused to apologize and completely ignored me.

UNETHICAL NAIL SALON. And the Worst experience ever. My mom came in for a full set and gel, they took her and began the service. Once her tips were on, the woman - who I believe was the owner- walked away to help other people. My mom sat there for at least 40 minutes with tips on and no one working on her nails. During this time multiple other people came in and they were CLEARLY over capacity but the owner kept telling people she could take them, when it was obvious that she couldn’t. I realized then that what she was doing was taking everyone she could in, starting their nails so they would be stuck in the store and then just waiting there until one of the nail technicians would finish and move onto the next customer. I’m 99% sure that this is also a huge sign unethical treatment of the staff. I’ve seen recent articles about unethical nail places and how poorly the staff are treated/paid but I have never witnessed it so clearly before. I made a huge fuss about it as I was just waiting for my mom- and the owner cowered and hid in the back room until I was gone. They charged my mom full price even though they knew full well that they shouldn’t have. And to top it all off- it was a really bad manicure because the technician obviously felt rushed due to the sheer volume of customers waiting to be taken care of.

Okay so after my first visit I was intrigued by their service and I kept coming back. Today was like my 5th time going there and every time I go it is someone different doing my nails. FIRST OFF, let’s just say if you’re not rich or make a decent amount of money don’t come here. I had acrylic nails and to do both refill and pedicure it’s about $60 plus $3 each for every nail you have broken. Today I came in wanting to just get a mani & pedi just on my natural nails and one of the guys offered to do them. He didn’t do the best job on my feet and he had my cuticles bleeding on my nails. He asked if I wanted to pay before I got them painted and I said sure. He said $40 which I found highly priced because anywhere else it’s about $25-30 for a simple mani pedi . and then demandingly asked to leave tip, i paid with my card and so I said fine take 3 more dollars for tip. THIS GUY MADE A SCENE. “$3 DOLLARS?! ONLY $3?!” To which his boss told him to calm down and she took my card to charge it. After that he caught an attitude and started speaking in his language while the other girls working there kind of laughed at him for being so angry. I felt completely terrible because I am student and if only they knew how much I work my butt off just to get a couple of dollars just for them to overcharge me and not be grateful that even after that I’m still leaving a tip. He wasn’t friendly at all when finishing up my nails instead he was rough and had an angry expression the whole time. Even left to go somewhere else because I guess he was so mad. Not all of the employees here are this way, but highly doubt I’ll be coming here again.

I came in yesterday for a gel manicure and when I first put my hands into the gel nail dryer, I noticed it was way hotter than usual. I didnt say anything (which I should have), but I thought it was fine. However, one of the other employees came to sit by me and began to say something to the girl doing my nails and then stopped and said she would tell her later. When I finished my manicure and was paying, I noticed them both examining the dryer like something was wrong. They laughed about it, but did not say anything to me. Im not sure what was wrong with it, but my biggest concern is that I could have potential skin issues if the UV was too high. I come here often for manis/pedis and have always received good service. The girl I had yesterday seemed in a rush and also took a phone call in the middle of painting my nails.

Got a full set with gel and a pedicure and paid 90$. IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. I went in on Friday April 13th. 6 of my nails were ready to fall off by Wednesday April 18th. I went in to get my nails fixed and they made me pay another 20$...now I’m counting down the days until this set falls off. This place is ridiculous in pricing and the quality of the nails is not worth it.

I was in and out in 25 minutes With my nails still wet!No hard skin removal, no cuticle remover, not even a base coat, 2 coats of varnish applied straight on top of each other, rude staff,Would never go back and certainly not recommend at all!!!

Most disrespectful business I have ever attended. I had grown out my nails for 2-3 weeks and went to the salon with one nail I had perfectly shaped myself to the length and size that I wanted all my nails to be (oval/almond shaped). The lady ended up cutting all my nails way too short and then started shaping them without letting me see them. I put trust in the lady as I had literally shown her the exact size and shape I wanted but she continued to keep cutting and I ended up with nails that were too short and a shape that looked like my 7 year old niece could have done better. Once I saw one hand done, I had made it very obvious I was not pleased at all and had to file my own nails to repair some what of the damage she had done. Other customers in the store had mentioned how rude it was for them to do this to me. I stated that she c an continue doing my nails since the damage was already done but that I will not be paying for a gel nail set but she chose to ignore this fact and continued. Upon payment she charged me full price and so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager was very very rude. I have never been treated with so much disrespect at a business ever and I do come from retail customer service experience myself but this was beyond limits. She kept stating that I needed to pay for the service which I understand and was fine to me but she would not listen to what had happened and was accusing me of trying to get away with not paying. My point was simply to state that yes my nails may look fine to her but that was NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. There was a reason I grew out my nails, if I had known this was going to happen I would have just done them myself. The manager also threatened me to have a lawyer come after me for even leaving this review here. It’s my opinion and my experience that I have the right to share so this does not happen to others as well. She fought with me and kept raising her voice, yelling. I mentioned to her she did not need to yell and that we can just have a conversation. By the end of it all, I still paid the full price for nails I did not want and service that I did not receive.

The solan is ao dirty. I basically paid $25 for nothing. My pedicure was poorly done.

I got a serious infection, probably due to dirty instruments.The manicure was actually painful! They used some type of rotating brush device to remove the gel. Ouch! Plus, it weakened my nail.Finally, the charged me an outrageous $30 for the worst manicure of my life!!
