This is a horrible gym. First of all there is no equipment to weight train here with the exception of dumbbells and a couple of straight bars. No machines. Not to mention this place has a horrible odor. Do not waste your time
7/3/21- Good music and professional personal trainers.
The gym is clean and spacious. It is very organized and well managed. The employees are all super helpful and go the extr mile very day to make my work out the fantastic.
The staff is amazing always friendly and very helpful and I love being greeted when I go in the gym is very clean and organized and follow all the rules for covid-19
A nice gym in a great location. Not the biggest, but It has a good amount of equipment - just wish the stair master was more up to date. Staff are very friendly and everything is kept clean.
My husband and I have been doing workouts with Mike Farina since early 2018 and are very happy with Zone 5. Mike is a great coach. He pushes us to do our best and is super friendly. We look forward to every workout and are happy with the results. Thank you Mike and Zone 5!
Zone 5 is great. The team is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and down to earth. People know your name, and the gym has a community feel. The facility itself is clean and well-equipped - it has everything you need, and none of the gimmicky stuff you dont. People here are respectful, and you wont hear people banging weights noisily or feel creeped on by fellow gym-goers. My experience with personal training has been top-notch - Mike is a seasoned professional who takes a holistic, no-nonsense approach to fitness while being fun and encouraging.
If you live in the Beacon Hill area, Zone 5 is the way to go. The space is nice and theres a good selection of well-maintained equipment. The people who work there are helpful and genuinely friendly! (No pushy sales tactics or hidden fees like some gyms.)
Best in town the classes are great staff is amazing.
I have been going to ZONE5 since I moved to Boston in 2015. The classes are always exciting and challenging, and the mix of individual and team workouts make workouts accessible for people of all fitness levels. Mike is friendly and responsive, and he really cares about the health and well being of his clients. The other instructors at the gym exude this same sense of care!I moved out of Beacon Hill a few years ago, yet I still make time to come back to the gym whenever I can. This is a testament to the culture and effectiveness of the gym. I cannot recommend ZONE5 highly enough!
Better than Barrys Bootcamp. Ive tried a number of studios through ClassPass and Zone5 is the best for small group high impact classes. Emily and Mike put together thorough and effective workouts that take us to the next level of fitness. Friendly and welcoming environment.
Great gym. Affordable prices, with an option for month to month payments (30 day cancellation). No sign up / initiation fee. Friendly staff.
I discovered Zone5 shortly after I moved to Boston, and fell in love with it immediately! The work outs are a challenging mix of strength and cardio, with each class being unique/different. The trainers are professional, give the right amount of guidance, but still make the classes fun. What sets Zone5 apart from its competitors is the community, there is a group of members who come regularly and have created an awesome but non-pretentious culture, and the value, $109/month for access to the facility and unlimited classes is amazing!
Love this gym so much!!! Zone5’s HIIT strength & cardio classes are the reason I got back into working out. They’re so fun & challenging + all the trainers are incredibly friendly and helpful! Love them all! I seriously can’t recommend this gym enough. I’ve had a bunch of friends try out a class and they loved it too - Highly recommend!!!
In just a sentence, exercising at Zone5 is an awesome, fun, and extremely rewarding experience! The staff is very kind and welcoming, setting up a great mood for the challenging HIIT classes ;) Since day one of my membership, I have been greatly enjoying each and every one of the HIIT classes. Mike and the rest of the instructors are super friendly and pleasant to talk to, yet extremely passionate, highly experienced, and committed in making sure that you are getting top-notch training. And the great thing is that the classes run in a weekly cycle focusing on all body areas, from core to lower and upper body, so that they provide a unique, wholistic, and well-structured approach to fitness!! Last but not least, Zone5 provides great facilities and a variety of gym equipment for any fitness level and type! 💪🏼💪🏼
Great gym, never too crowded and awesome equipment for all types of workouts! (Lifting, cardio, HIIT, TRX)
I told myself I would try out a number of gyms before committing when I moved to Boston 3 months ago, but visited Zone5 first and never went anywhere else! I am in the middle of a strenuous training program and was worried it would be foiled when I moved away from Phx. But this gym has the equipment I need to push myself and additional locations for my convenience to reach my goals. The vibe and people there are motivational and friendly, and I look forward to going to the gym daily!
Simply put, Zone5 is a great gym. The space is small but mighty, with a little bit over everything in terms of equipment - lots of cardio machines, a couple of racks in the free weight area, and a nice space for doing kettlebell, TRX work and more. I love the HIIT classes - they are definitely challenging and no workout is ever the same so its doesnt get boring or routine. The team at the gym makes the effort to learn your name and have been nothing but welcoming from day one. Its nice to come to a gym where you are greeted by name and see familiar faces from week to week. Highly recommend!
I liked their circuit class; the circuits targeted muscle groups and the heart rate monitor allows you to see your heart rate and colories burned during the entire work-out. Their facilities were clean and include a full locker room with sauna and showers. My biggest suggestion would be better air circulation in the group class studio rooms.
I love visiting Zone5! The gym has a wide-variety of cardio-equipment and free weights, ranging from rowing machines and treadmills to kettlebells and TRX ropes. The group classes offered are also great, I definitely recommend trying one out if they fit into your schedule. The workouts are HIIT circuits so it really is what you make of it. You can take it easy one day, but go hard the next – they’ve been a great addition to my workout routine. Each day focuses on a different muscle group, so there are plenty of options and good for any fitness level. The gym offers not only top-tier equipment and facilities, but also a fantastic little community among the members, trainers, and staff. Everyone is super friendly and easy-going; you’re always greeted with friendly faces and can form great relationships with everyone!
Fabulous gym with wonderfully friendly staff. Perfect for the rower looking for a no-nonsense place to work out.
Very motivating, yet not pushy environment. Helped me accomplish goals I didn’t realize possible.
[This is for Zone5, not other BHAC locations]The small size of the gym took some getting used to, but I find the community there to be more congenial and tight-knit than any other gym Ive frequented. The training staff are approachable and happy to offer free advice on lifting form, cardio, etc. The patrons are generally great too, no ego or pretense. Cost is competitive for the area.
The classes here are excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and always ready to help you.
Great GYM! Great classes. Clean and friendly staff.
Was a member at the North Station location for a couple of years, and encountered unpleasantness and frustration at every turn. The staff refused to honor the coupons they gave me upon signing, and the complaint e-mails to their headquarters I sent were never answered. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly, in general--displaying a surly attitude, especially the Manager of the location. I was never made to feel welcome, and everything was a battle. Finally, I gave notice and quit, and they started dunning me for half a months fee. Fitcorp, at One Beacon was a far better organization, with helpful and friendly staff.
Great HIIT classes and awesome trainers!
I used to go here on a daily basis, and returned briefly to check it out after a few years. Its an okay facility - quite small comparatively, but really the only place around thats affordable. Its still pricey, staff is sometimes a bit snobby, and the place isnt the cleanest. However, the location is prime, and it has all the basics - cardio machines, weights, etc.
Great gym with wonderfully friendly staff starting from their management Mike Farima, Personal trainers are awesome Ryan Wilke, Linda Auger, always there if you have any questions, guiding you. Perfect for cardio and weight-lifting.
Because I get to see my boyfriend called Daivd
Very limited weight lifting equipment. Dumbell selection is complete but there is only one multi machine and if your working your triceps you are going to be disappointed.
