James was very communicative through all my questions. This time they changed my oil and the back wiper blade. I’ve taken my car here for 2 years from oil changes, brakes, service needs. We have always felt they delivered as promised, with reasonable price, and I felt expert care and quality.

They took care of what I asked them to inspect and repair and also let me know of a couple other things that needed attention. They got all the work done in a timely manner and kept me updated. Will definitely be my regular maintenance shop!

Friendly enough people, but they took their sweet time and heavily overcharged me. I went in with a very specific problem and asked them to fix it. Many hours after dropping my car off they gave me a long list of things they think I should get repaired and didnt really address the problem I brought my vehicle into the shop for. I told them no to their long list and to just focus on the main problem. I had already consulted two other mechanics so I knew the repair should not take more than an hour or two and the part itself is about $100. TWO DAYS later they give me a bill for over $700. Absolutely insane.

This place is an awesome family business, better than the Midas touch friendly staff; James is a good guy pleasant, and thorough, Highly recommend will be coming back in the future.

Went in to have the low beam and foglight bulbs replaced. Great service and able to get it done pretty quickly. A pleasure to deal with these guys every time I need repairs/maintenance.

They said I needed a new lift for my truck. They didnt know I run a service garage for heavy equipment, I showed him it only needed a few small pins replaced and gave him the part number. He got so embarrassed he said he would not do it. Lmao. Brakes and oil changes only and I wouldnt trust them.Garage down the street did it for 250$Update 8.17 wow the response is BS as well. True the alignment shop didnt do it. They are tires and alignment only. Dont trust these guys. Rip off shop

Our car started overheating, so we checked the coolant and it was low. We get regular tune-ups and oil changes and watch our fluids, so this was somewhat of a surprise. After filling up on coolant a couple of times, we decided to take our car to Ernies Automotive. We called on Friday and made an appointment for Monday. Within a couple hours of dropping our car off we had an email with pictures and diagnostics for our vehicle. By the end of the day, we had our car back with a new radiator and a price that was on the medium-low end of our pricing research. The service was fantastic. Theyre taking COVID-19 seriously too. Theyve cordoned off the main area and have signage to keep distances. Thanks for the great service, Ernies Automotive.

I brought my BMW in because the coolant light was on and a fan was constantly running. They put some coolant in my car and told me everything was fine. I left my car sitting a couple months and then when I drove it again it quit running on me and I had to have it towed. I found out it needed a new expansion tank thermometer and water tank. If you have a foreign car dont go here! Go to a specialist.

I took my car in because my check engine light was on. They hit me with the first $150 diagnostic fee just to tell me to change my oil when Id changed it 2 days before taking it in (it was the first thing I did in response to the code). After it came back on, they then wanted to charge me $400 to replace a $70 part (Camshaft Position Sensor) that takes less than 15 minutes to replace, and didnt fix the issues. Not knowing any better, I allowed them to do the work when I should have simply done it myself. Light came back on the second I took it out of the shop, and they charged me another $150 diagnostic fee for the SAME ISSUE. They then told me that Id be better off replacing the entire engine (probably $7,000+) because they couldnt pinpoint the issue. I looked it up briefly online, found that it was most likely the VVT Solenoids, but they wanted to charge me $800 to replace them. Theyre small sensors on the outside of the engine that cost about $180 in total for parts, and take 15 minutes to change out. They marked up the parts by over 100% (compared to the exact part numbers from all the automotive stores around me, which cost more for me to buy as an individual as it is), and wanted over $400 in labor for 15 minutes of work. They also wanted to charge me $60 for shop supplies, and refused to let me know what shop supplies they were even referring to, when theres no need to charge for shop supplies to begin with. Shop supplies are a small cost that is usually just eaten by the mechanic as part of their business. They were already scalping me as it was, and they didnt need the $12 they took just for towels last time. They also wanted to replace my timing chain and the whole assembly with the Solenoids, for a total of $1,900, when replacing the timing chain first is completely unnecessary. They just wanted to make more money by pretending it was better to fix it while they had the car in, when it has nothing to do with the labor they were already doing.So I finally came to my senses and decided to do the work myself, as I shouldve done from the start. I take out both Solenoids and find that theres a screen plugged. Thats it. I clean it out and put them back on and my car is running perfectly. Had they actually done ANY real diagnostic work, they would have found the problem in the first diagnosis, and all they wouldve had to do was spray it with solvent and put it back. They also tried to tell me at one point that there were lots of screens on the internal portions of the engine that would require a complete reassembly to access, and we think those could potentially be the problem. That was the point when they said Id be better off replacing the entire engine. Well thats just a flat lie, because the only oil screens in my entire engine are located ON the Solenoids, barring the one course screen on the oil pump, which also wouldnt require a full engine reassembly to fix. They flat out lied to me to try to scare me into the most expensive option. I will NEVER come back here, and I advise everyone to stay away from here. Theyve charged me over a 100% markup for every part theyve quoted me for, and charge far more for labor than what is anywhere near reasonable. They will try to scare you into paying them insane amounts of money all because they expect their customers to not know enough about cars to do otherwise.

I have to say that this is the best place to service your vehicle. Tim was wonderful, he explained thoroughly every step they did to my car. He was patient and kind, very professional. Even the young man who brought my car around was very courteous. Let’s not forget that they charged less than half what another establishment quoted me!I can’t praise them enough!!

Great people however the rules from Inslee has stopped me from them performing much needed repairs.

I came in needing a diagnostic test run on my car that was bogging and shaking with the engine light on while just passing through Bonney Lake. even though they knew I wasnt going to have the work done there, because I live in a completely different town, they check it out for me immediately, just out of genuine concern to make sure I was safe on the road and that it wasnt something that needed to be addressed immediately. They were honest, explained the code reading to me and what Id need to have done sooner than later, but let me know Id be ok for short distances for the next few days until I could get back to my regular shop, and had me back on the road in less than 10 minutes. Anyone can turn a wrench... integrity & caring is another thing entirely. Thanks guys!

Brought my truck in with low oild pressure and was told it had a left rear blinker and high stop bulb out. The person who called explained they will toss a couple bulbs in because they dont charge for labor on that just bulbs. The bulbs were on my bill. When I got home I checked my blinkers and noticed the same lights werent working. After inspection, the bulbs are the same forign led bulbs I put in. I was brushed off when I called. I will not be using them again. A dishonest mechanic is never a good mechanic.

Marty from Ernies automotive was very Personable and stayed on top of letting me know what was going on and a time frame of when my truck would be done. I would totally recommend this establishment to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle. My truck drives and rides better than it has in a very long time and I couldn’t be more thankful to these guys for the work they did.

Ernie’s is great, I have taken my car there several times. Had my battery replaced at Jiffy Lube and it was a dud. Took it back to Jiffy and swapped it out for another one. Jiffy tested the second one before I left and it tested low so I took it to Ernie’s just to make sure it wasn’t any other issue. Ernie’s tested my vehicle, determined it’s the battery and didn’t charge me for testing my alternator or the battery. This is exactly why we come here. Honest and reliable. Will be coming here for my oil changes from now on too.

My first experience with Ernies was on a 2018 Equinox with a bad fuel pump that the dealer would not take care of. Tim was an amazing source of information and professionalism. We got the vehicle back right away. The shop is now working on my 2007bDodge Charger because I trust them with the work I cant do on my own. AAA turned me on to Ernies and Im glad they did.

Absolutely fantastic to work with, I have a problem with mechanics being condescending to me but the mechanics at ernies were so polite and accommodating.
