The Paragon Apartments has been a lovely place to live. Ive lived here for a few years now with my significant other and our two children.The one and only issue our family has experienced would be the slamming of hallway and apt doors. With that being said, we are living in a new world, and we understand that more people are working from home and most children are still in distant learning. Its unavoidable in apt living.The new management team, especially Joanna, has been wonderful. She responds fast and gives us realistic updates.As far as the amenities, I feel that the new washer and dryer system has been a huge upgrade and the new partnership with Amazon for packages is above and beyond, considering we already have Parcel Pending available. Really cool! The pool reopening and fitness center is also a plus.Highly recommend!

I have lived at The Paragon Apartments in Bloomington since 2009 and I love my little apartment home! I face the street and I have a view of beautiful trees and I have a deck that I can enjoy and can have plants out there!The office staff are very helpful as well as the maintenance team taking care of any issues right away! I have quiet neighbors as well.The neighborhood is great for long walks.I highly recommend The Paragon Apartments!!

Paragon Apartments has been nothing but accommodating! Joanna is the property manager is always very kind and nice to talk to. They have been very flexible and willing to work with us. Pete is the maintenance manager and I always see him working all times of the week to make the property nice. He always says Hi to me with a smile when I walk by and is always awesome if I need need any maintenance needs. We will be happily signing our 3rd lease for this apartment and are excited to spend another year here!

The staff is always great to work with and very accommodating! The apartment that we have is bright and spacious with updated kitchen appliances. The gym is the best apartment gym I have ever seen! Definitely saved some money by not needing a gym membership. And they are very pet friendly, which is hard to find in an apartment!

Nice apartments, but management rarely enforces their many rules and is very slow to repair issues with the property. For example, when there was an active shooter in my building that required a massive police siege (with me left inside worried about my safety), the front door was left unlocked and unfixed for weeks afterward. They will also try to tell you your broken appliances are fine and dont need replacement. They actually admitted to me that they didnt want to fix my broken A/C because they were trying to save money. The actual apartment interiors are great, but it can be a frustrating place to live.

I want to share my excellent experience with management and maintenance during my time at The Paragon. Joanna is easy to work with and very responsive to any questions or requests. Maintenance has always responded quickly and gotten the repair right the first time.

I enjoyed the amenities this apartment offered especially the sauna, pool & jacuzzi they had. Its hard to find all those amenities in most apartments. Joanna the leasing manager was also very helpful and always catered to our needs while there. Thank you for making it a worthwhile stay.

Had a really great experience at paragon! The property manager is so helpful, whenever there is a problem she always goes above and beyond to fix it ASAP! Keep up the great work Joanna, paragon is lucky to have such an amazing person like you!

My son, my dog, and I love it here. Moving in was very easy. The application process was simple and management answered every question I had. Maintenance has been prompt and professional with repairs and the building is clean. Recommend highly.

I have lived at this property for over three years and I can easily say this is one of the best complexes in Bloomington! Great neighbors, great amenities, great staff! With any complex there will be an issue here and there but the Manager Joanna is always there to help out in anyway she can with a positive attitude!

Do not live here. moved out recently and there were so many issues. front hallway of my apt had a bunch of water and management put out a fan to fix it? wasn’t fixed. so many safety issues as well. cops/swat you name it. save yourselves and your money don’t live here.

I am a travel nurse, was checking out real estate, plus love to spend time in Minnesota so I rented at Paragon for a year. It fit my needs perfectly. Where do I start? Well in the winter, how about HEATED garage! I never had to clean snow off my car plus in was warm from the get go. Also, there is a real good sized INDOOR swimming pool, hot tub, locker room, lockers, AND a sauna! Not to forget the workout room, & outdoor grill patio just outside the pool area. This was obviously a first class, upscale apartment when first build. It is a quality built building with elevators & secured, locked entryways. It has been upgraded inside and out. My one complaint would have been the old carpet in the hallways, BUT, they have even replaced that. There are playgrounds for the kiddies, & there are many families here, along with young people, & those of us in our prime. The management has been excellent along with the maintenance guys. I have always felt 100% secure here. And did I mention location? OH my, you can walk on miles of beautiful nature trails right from the apartment. You can walk to major shopping and restaurants like Cub Foods, McDonalds, Chinese food, Papa Johns, Walgreens, & our favorite Family Dollar! You can bike as there are sidewalks all over, & when my car gave me issues I was just a mile from a great repair shop & car wash. I am starting to ask myself WHY am I giving up my lease? HHHmmm.... Utilities have all worked great, priced reasonable, as has kitchen, plumbing, whatever I have needed. I LOVE my deck, as do the birds I feed, well, & that plump squirrel. There are great big, beautiful shade trees as I look out my patio. Again, this is a wonderful place to call home. If I didnt own another home in a different state, I would simply stay put. In fact, I let the manager know I will likely return.

Pipes burst. Kitchen is literally falling apart. Hallways smell of gas, this place is a freaking dumb. I’ve even been so lucky to have rust spill out of my shower head before... do not rent from this place!

New management, but the same building. Moved here almost a year ago, and cant wait for our lease to end. Old building, we can hear every step in the apartment above us. Renovated truly means we painted and put in new appliances. No further renovations. We had an emergency overnight leak in our ceiling, a bucket was placed in the middle of our living room, and no one returned for over a week, at which point they painted the ceiling, and called it good.Not worth the price.

Hello my name is cookie I been living here for about a year now I could have not found a better place to call home but here at the paragon apartments I love my place . its quite clean and they let you bring your friend pet along .

We had a great experience at the Paragon Apartments. Anytime we needed anything the staff were more than helpful. It was a clean renovated apartment. We stayed there for 4 months while we were building a house. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a short term lease. I liked having the 2 playgrounds, workout room and pool. Everything was well kept and clean on the property. I enjoyed my neighbors as well.

This place has gone downhill. There is trash on the outside of the buildings and it never gets picked up by Maintenance. They never go around daily or weekly to pickup the trash. Even the garage has trash everywhere. Previous complex I lived at had a commercial service sweep the garages once a year.

Since new management took over earlier this year everything has been fantastic. The ladies in the office are wonderful, very easy to work with, and maintenance will take care of any issues within a day or so. The buildings are quiet and well maintained.I would disregard any and all negative ratings prior to April 2018 because they do not reflect the current condition and management of Paragon.

Trash. Pipes clogged for bathroom and kitchen. Took 3 days for repair man to show up. They charged me 468$.

The management team worked hard to answer my questions and provide me with good information. We are moving from across the country, and it is not easy coordinating so many things, so this was refreshing. Emily has helped a lot, so thank you dealing with all my questions and searching for answers! After all this planning just having a place to land is a huge weight off of our shoulders. I also appreciated the November promotion they were running.

Watch out for Paragon Apartments! They showed my daughters boyfriend one apartment style that he was interested in, but on move in date that style was not available. Him and his roommate were promised discounted rent and told that they could move into the other style when available, they are still waiting over two months later. They decided they were not happy with that apartment and wanted out only to find the NEW manager never heard of the situation. They gave a written 30 day notice, but even though the lease paperwork was never signed they are insisting on a 60 day notice plus $1500 cancellation fee.

I have lived here for 2.5 years and it has been great. Complex is well maintained and has a new feel to it. Only a couple of minor maintenance issues and management promptly took care of them. Management here is very friendly and listens to their residents. Complex is always quite and other residents have been great. Rent is a good price for the quality.

Heres my honest review of The Paragon Apartments. After a year of residency, there is no feeling of unified community, and Im relieved to move out. The manager insisted I stayed an additional month due to not notifying management within 60 days. I notified them of leaving ~40 days ahead of my lease ending. I agreed to comply with an extra months rent payment, but I got charged with a surprise $200 commercial fee on top of my rent payment without any written or verbal notice. I had other environmental safety concerns. Other residents were making catcalls to women in the parking lot, which made walking out of the apartments feel unsafe at times. Another time, a desktop computer was stolen from the community room. Some genuinely friendly and kind neighbors did compensate for the others negative behavior, but there is some level of riff raff here. Since Covid-19 stay-at-home orders, the residents package security system has been disbanded, which was disappointing, to say the least, and management was difficult to contact. Ive had tenants emails ignored by management, and calls unanswered in their office, even when Ive made contact during their very limited office hours of M-F 9-1. Ive sent them a couple of emails, that they did not reply to. They selectively reply to tenant communications. I had one more surprise here. You may notice a broken, strobing light on the exterior of one building. It flashes uncontrollably into windows of a couple units. I called building maintenance about it upon noticing in January 2020. Its now May 2020, and nothings been done to repair. The strobing exterior light is a real distraction for residents. The property management needs to look into fixing that. The managements overall performance is unsatisfactory. Id spend your money elsewhere, and keep looking for a different apartment.

Since the new management took over everything has been great at The Paragon! The ladies in the office are very friendly & maintenance takes care of any requests very promptly. We are very happy with living here since the new management took over!

We recently moved from here in November it has a different management but Carla is awesome she knows how to keep everything in order and organized . She has worked with us whenever we had problems she responds very fast to emails as I could never stop in the office since either worked same hours as the office hours . We had a Garage underground never any trouble with break ins very quiet neighborhood and neighbors as well I loved the apartment was very spacious and roomy for a 2/2 also has elevators and pool indoors and more I would recommend living here to anyone who is looking in this area

The Paragon Apartment Homes is a great place to live :). Carla the Property Manager takes care of all your needs. Since TE Miller took over this community a little over a month ago there has been a drastic change in customer service. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a new place to call home :).

I love the pool so much its really fun to have friends swim with me. The candy machines are awesome too as well as the computers I can use in the party room.

We got an apartment located where we want on the top floor, the room we got was newly updated with new paint, new utilities and new flooring, managers were very easy and friendly to work with. Free wifi, drink and foods in management office area, although foods were not always available.But there are still something need to be improved.1.The apartment turned off the heat very early this year, we felt very cold inside our room for several days.2.The delivery person would deliver almost all packages to the management office, so if ordered something heavy and large, would be very inconvenient, after I complained to UPS, it got much better.3. The pool and hot tub were not always clean, not everyone had a bath before went into the pool as the policy, and I saw children threw food in the pool.4.It was very hot on the top floor, the air conditioner did not work very well, because the room was too big. And even we cleaned the filter daily, the air came out with very bad smell. I think the smell should be from the tube outside.5. We got several emails said do not throw cigarette ends on the lawn, but people still threw, and we smelled cigarettes every afternoon in our living room, very bad for babies and children. I know it was not the apartments fault, but could not do anything.6. We check out at the end of September, and we got our deposit check yesterday on 12/31, the process was way too slow.Anyway, the apartment was OK for short-term lease.

The place is great. But the hot water is NOT very hot. I would have never signed up had I known I was agreeing to a yearlong of lukewarm water showers. Thats definitely not the life quality I will be settling for in the future.

This place was amazing when I moved in three years ago...since management changed everything has gone downhill. Totally over charging for 70s style apartment, its dirty and noisy with no attention to maintanence....there have been huge pot holes in the parking lot forever, I cant remember the last time I had a warm shower and the storage room is filled with junk not even in the storage units. At one point there was a wash machine with nasty, smelly water in it for almost 3 months. The pool is closed more than it is open. I cant wait for my lease to be over!

My boyfriend and I JUST moved in a little over week ago and boy, were we lured into a bait and switch! Everyone had a smile on their face and a welcome hand before we signed the lease, but as soon as we experience issues with the unit, no one in management bats an eye. We were promised a renovated unit with paid heat only to find that the heater doesnt even heat up. Weve left messages and walked into the leasing office nearly every day about our problems with nothing fixed. The blinds are dusty and broken, a cabinet door isnt even installed, heater doesnt work, new garbage disposal is cheap and loud, new dishwasher is loud and without insulation, PHONE LINES WERE CUT (and they expected us to pay for its repair) THEREFORE NO INTERNET! This unit was NOT ready for anyone. The lease agreement doesnt even provide us with insurance that theyll fix. Long story short: THEY WILL FIX PROBLEMS AT THEIR LEISURE.The manager has given us no ease of mind and expects us to pay to fix THEIR mistakes. Shes spoken to us once, and with attitude. Who wants to live in a place where the management doesnt respect you? I cannot express how disappointed and angry I am. If youre looking to live here, make sure your desired unit is REALLY ready for you, otherwise youll be ignored and lied to.

I think at this point a one armed monkey could run the apartments better then the paragon. They dont care about the renters just the money an will leave things broken on your building for weeks before doing anything... Not worth your time!! Stay away!!!

I have lived here for 5 years and going on to 6 but it will never change my mind about how I feel about this apartment. When I first moved in, the management was amazing. They literally treated us like friends but as the time moved, the new management went downhill. Not gonna say who but a woman who use to work for the paragon has told me she really disliked the management and moved out almost immediately. That’s already a sign. If you want to get overcharged and highly ignored then come get a place here. I use to love going into the club house building and have a nice convo with whoever is working before I would either go swimming or workout but now I don’t even wanna see them and try my best to avoid the club house because I feel like they put on an act. They disappoint me way too much. Btw now there’s another new management. They arent getting any better.

New owner just screwed all of the good stuff about the building.

Ever since new management took over things have been going down hill. They dont really care about the tenants complaints or service requests.My lease is going to end soon in a couple of months and I am definitely going to move out! They do nothing for us tenants that have been living here for years, yet they expect us to pay even more rent when they cant even be bothered to salt their steps and sidewalks on a regular basis until people have to complain to them theyre slipping.Like another renter here have said, nothing here is luxury other than their prices. My apartment is not renovated, and all the stuff is old yet they are raising my rent up by more than $120 just because they renovated other empty apartments and their small gym in the office.Avoid this place, unless you like being overcharged and ignored as a tenant.

This is the first time I have ever written a review. The new management is horrible. They will rip you off. First they told me since I live month to month lease I can exit my lease within 30 days. However, they change their mind and said I have to give them 60 days notice. The management is money hungry and greedy. Please save yourself a big headache and dont rent from this place

Called in to possibly set up an appointment to take a look at an apartment. Woman on the phone was very rude. Said there wouldnt be anything available until august with a big attitude. I said that would be when we would be moving and she just brushed us off and basically said it was a waste to look there because she wont even know what will be available until june. I can understand not knowing what would be available, however she could have had us come look at something and if something opened up give us a call or put us on a waiting list. Very disapointed in the way she spoke to me and acted as if she had better things to do than talk with a possible renter.

Worst experience I have ever had with an apartment. They don’t know what they are talking about, and everyone has a different answer. They also took my deposit before I was approved now telling me I have to wait to get refunded. I will be contacting the BBB. They are VERY unprofessional and don’t deserve not one star!

Upon leaving there were cleanup charges in excess of the damage deposit......the charges were sent straight to a debt collector without attempt to collect directly. Leaving me with a mark on my credit score. The letter from the collection agency was dated 14 days after the move out date.Main reason for leaving in the first place was a rent increase in excess of $250 plus additional charges for water, garbage, which most places would just include with rent.

Love this apartment complex. Bat around.
