I donβt like leaving negative reviews, but I feel like I need to in this situation. Okay Iβll start with the pros - the inside of the salon is pretty. Cons - Over priced for the quality ($52 for a gel manicure and a glass of wine. My nail chipped in less than 24 hours and I had done nothing) My cuticle was cut so far down that it bled the entire time I was getting my nails done, I have blood in the polish, the nail tech had to put nail glue on my cut after 30 minutes to stop the bleeding. I was not even offered a discount. They do not give you an option to tip on the receipt, you have to tip them in cash or through Venmo. I come from the service industry so even with the frustrations, I wanted to leave a tip. I am very disappointed in the overall quality with this salon. Their prices are not cheap, you should get what you pay for! So after spending over $60 after tip, I am stuck with a cheap looking manicure that is chipping π₯΄ I will not be back and will not recommend this salon to anyone.Editing to add: I called the salon about a grace period. They said I can come in to get the chip fixed. Glad they will fix it, but still standing by the review.
Me and my mom go there once every month to get our nails done, and we always go by appointment cause if you donβt book an appointment they make you wait up to an hour on busy days although despite the incredible service some of the staff will be on the phone during the service out of the four years the we have been going there Sally and Mai are the BEST the do an incredible job but I would warn you that the service does take a while the owner (Anthony) is incredibly nice and wants everyone to feel comfortable, but one of the things that really annoys me is when the talk in there language while looking at you and it seems they are talking about you, although Sally and Mai have never done that my past nail techs there have.
I always have a great experience here! But this last time was more special than ever because my daughter who has never got her nails or toe done came with me and three other family members and we had a very good time. But daughter being able to get hers done for the first time was the best part! Thanks so much your establishment is very appreciated!
As soon as me and my friend got there we were rushed. We were choosing our color for pedicures and the technician rushed us to choose the color. They came up to us about 4 times and we had JUST got there. We proceeded to sit down in the chairs and the technicians started pulling the ingrown nails on our toes which HURT. one of the technicians even asked my friend if it hurt.. then proceeded to smile about it. This left the skin on my toes with chunks missing from them doing this. Also the paint job is horrible. I had some knicks on my polish before i even made it home and the polish job was something i could have done. What a waste of 40 dollars. Donβt waste your time going to this place and save your money.
Not only do my nails look terrible, I was charged 100$ more than I was supposed to be charged. Everyone was unbelievably rude and the pedicure was far from relaxing. If I could give no stars I would.
The customer service was good. The alcohol was good. I just so happened to get a bad pedicure as well as bad nails. The lady was nice and took her time, but a few days later, my feet look like they were never done. Where I got a fill in, you can see the line where the fill in was done through the gel nail polish. It wasnt as noticeable until I got into natural light. I wasted $90. I am hoping they can fix this. I called and I was told that I could just do a walk in for a re-polish. But Im not sure if they are going to go anything about my feet.
This was the nicest nail spa in Birmingham when it was Venetian Nail Spa. The quality of nail techs have gone down tremendously since becoming Anthony Vince. The atmosphere is even different. Think Iβm moving on.
My polish was done terriblyβ¦. They tried to repair it and used a different shade. The worst pedicure and the most I have ever paid for a pedicure. The person who did the pedicure was very sweet.
*The photos are what I wanted and told they could do until I got in a chair.*Ive come to AV a few times and have recommended them to friends. They were becoming my nail spot. My last visit, I didnt care for my service and my dip nails broke and slid off my nails after a week. My press ons from the drug store lasted longer than those dip nails.Today was the worse and Ill never return again! Today I was a walk in. I showed the song lady two pics that I would like to try on my nails. She said they could definitely do it and it would be best to go with gel. One of the pics was from Pinterest(or insta) and the other was from the AV instagram page. She tells me to pick a color. I wanted to do multiple colors. Pick my colors and wait an hour. No big deal. Its after two on a Saturday. The man comes over and asks if were(another patron and I) doing our toes, we say no. He leads us to our respective areas. A lady comes by and sees my nails and asks what is it. I still had my dip nails that havent broken or slid off yet. She says well have to soak them off. Cool! I show her my nails and asks if she can do one of these styles. She says yes and walks away. Didnt grab my paper with my colors written on it. 30 minutes pass and the guy comes by and says gel with nail are? Cant do that! A different lady comes by 5 minutes later and says gel nails and what color? Once again shows pic and asks can you any one of these. She replies no. I show a different pic and she says she thinks so. What! So at first I say just soak off the dip nails but change my mind out of frustration. I drove an hour to this location. I simply asked from the beginning if this nail look be achieved. Why advertise nail styles on your social media and cant do it! For what this establishment charges doing nails from their own social sites should be bare minimum! I end up finding a mom and pop nail place to do my nails for half the price that I wouldve spent there.Ill post the pics of the inspiration nails.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLEβ¦β¦waiting time extremely long the lady that did my pedi name is Tiffany her attitude was horrible. My feet was placed in the water once dried and polish was applied, she did not scrub my feet or anything. I was cut multiple of times while filing and pulling the skin off causing me to bleed. I wouldnβt recommend anyone to come to this place If I could leave no stars I would.
Best mani & pedi I had in a long time. 1st visit but everyone was nice, Ive been looking for a place in Birmingham. Prices is to be expected since it is next to Saks but not bad. I had an appt so the wait time was non existing. They really take time on you, I didnt get that rushing feeling like other places. Had a lot of options to choose from and good prices for kids. Bathrooms was clean and the place sparkled.
This place looks great inside making you think itβs gonna be relaxing with the bar and stuff, however my technician, Tammy, was super rude to me and was rough with my hands not even saying a word to me, doesnβt even know how to be polite. My nails donβt even look great and she acted like it was the hardest job ever. I called them on the phone to see how much an acrylic fill was with gel and they told me $25, and then after the service I go up to pay and it was $40, they should of specified on the phone. Worst nail place I have ever been to yet. I donβt recommend this place at all.
Horrible experience! The nail tech who performed services to me was uncompassionate after I told her my index finger was burning while being soaked in acetone. She went on to say that it shouldnβt hurt. I explained apparently there was a cut right above the nail and I didnβt notice until it started to burn. Simply couldβve wrapped that finger with foil instead she got up and walked away from services very angrily and unprofessional. It is apparent no complaining allowed nor any complaints of discomfort should be voice. From the beginning she had a very negative disposition and seemed unhappy in her job. Take pride in what you do and please listen to the customer. I gave this place a lot of my business in the past when it was Venetians. Not sure Iβll return after such a horrible experience. So disappointed.
I literally had them to stop my service. I was gifted a gel mani and pedi. When I showed up to retrieve the services, I was treated rudely and give different prices. Once I asked about the price dispute the technician started yelling at me. I had to ask him on two occasions to not raise his voice when speaking to me. When the female nail tech came over to start my mani, she flicked her hands at my boyfriend to move as though he was an animal after her was told that he could sit next to me. I have used this place multiple times in the past, but today IM DONE!
I had the signature Spa pedicure, and the S & S manicure. I was very pleased with how my toes and fingernails look, along with The service and atmosphere. They did extra massage on my feet and legs, and it almost put me to sleep. I was very pleased and will definitely be back!
Iβve been a loyal customer of this Anthony Vince for about 2 years (previously Venetian Nail Spa). I can honestly say it is a treat to come here on a regular basis. Hereβs why:1. Great customer service - courteous, timely, and friendly. Everyone makes an effort to know you by name and ensure youβre pleased when you walk out.2. Nail Quality - While I have my favorite people, everyone is very professional and good at what they do. My nails are beautiful each and every time and I am very picky. My manicurists are almost perfectionists.3. Atmosphere - You will feel relaxed here as the salon is beautiful, spacious, and recently renovated. In addition, thereβs a bar inside :)4. Clean - The tools that are used are sanitized and clean. Iβve never suspected anything was not 100% sterilized.Overall, I highly recommend this nail salon. You will not be disappointed. Theyβre very consistent and I still feel the same way after 2 years. Enjoy!!
Worst pedicure experience ever. Very rude personnel, technician was rough, chair did not appear to be clean, and could not even sit to let my nails dry because the drying station is also the color choosing spot- literally had 2 girls standing on top of me.
My girlfriend and I came here to get manicures and the experience was great. They did a great job applying her acrylics and making sure they were all the same length. 4 stars because I wish the manicure had more substance to it besides exfoliating and moisturizing.
As a visitor from England I was truly impressed by the standard of cleanliness and the general ambiance of the set up. So why 2 stars? Well think the lady I had was afraid that if she smiled her face might crack! I was given hand gestures to take my hand out of setting machine rather than simple words. And at $37 for a simple shellac manicure I expected better service.
I have been a patron of this nail salon since it opened a little over a year ago and I have always had excellent service, and will never go anywhere else. Iβll be honest, I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my nails; even the smallest of flaws will have me refiling, or most likely, ripping off a full set of gel nails within minutes of leaving a salon. I am so incredibly picky that I simply stopped going to the nail salon, preferring bitten nails and ragged cuticles to the stress of inconsistent results and the anticipated disappointment. While still scarred from past failures and short comings, this is the ONLY nail salon in Birmingham metro area that I will patron. The staff is professional, the salon clean and well maintained, and the nail service has always met and/or exceeded my expectationsβlasting weeks on end with the correct shape, color, and length, all without bloody gashes and cuts from careless manicurists. If youβre skeptical and/or traumatized from lackluster salons in the area, this one is worth trying!
Beautiful and classy β€
Lovely experience
$70 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Pedicure left feet still feeling dry and rough - gel manicure started to peel after less than a week.Cash only tips - with convenient non-bank ATM (so business probably makes money off ATM fees). Two stars because it was clean and facilities are nice. Services do not measure up to atmosphere or price.
A nice nail salon and the service is great . The nail tech he was nice but my gel nails didnβt last a week without chipping. For $50 it should lasted three weeks. Being in the Summit you would think differently. Sorry Sang the nail tech. This want happen again. Hello Sun nails.
Attentive nail technicians got powder dip manicure π πΎ and gel pedicure yesterday nails already cracking also didnβt get complimentary drink.
I had a pedicure and some nails are not fully covered and my big nail isnβt even smooth. Definitely will not be back and do not recommend this salon! They failed to mention that the drink that was βcomplimentaryβ was only for services of $60! so when he asked if I would like a drink I said sure, what do you have? I chose one and later found out it was $7!! For ONE drink!!
Iβve been here several times and have had great experiences. However, the last manicure and pedicure I had here was the worst Iβve ever had. We were rushed through our service, my hands were cut up to the point they were bleeding and the polish was put on poorly. The woman doing my manicure was very short with me and was pulling on my hands and arms during the whole service. I also did not like that they did the manicure and pedicure at the same time. They rushed through the massage as well. It was extremely unrelaxing. When I called to tell the manager, he was unapologetic, rude on the phone and did not offer to do anything about it. I will never go back. It was awful.
Greetings,I have been a consistent customers over the years at Venetian Nail Salon, which was recently bought by your organization. Today I went to your store to receive a pedicure but instead left disgruntled and frustrated. I entered your store first and two women after me were seated prior to me. I am African American and the customers sat before me were Caucasian. The attendant attempted to argue I was still selecting my nail polishβwhich is innacurateβas reason for them sitting first. However, I had selected my polish and was ready to be seated at the time of the oversight. The solution and purpose of this message is to bring awareness to how customers should be treated and while I am aware mistakes happen and not every oversight is racially charged, your attendantΚΌs response to me bringing the oversight to his attention and deciding not to retain your services was way below the expectations of any business I want to patron.I ask that you incorporate a more uniform system of seating clients and promote a more inclusive environment and that could start by having more diverse art work on the wall. This could prevent other potential clients from leaving your establishment with the impression that someone elseΚΌs dollars are valued to a higher degree.Albeit this email may fall on deaf ears, and maybe you are satisfied with poor customer service but with the availability of social media and more platforms available to share experiences such as these it would behoove you to have higher customer service standards.
Wasnt impressed with this place at all. Attempted to have a nice day of relaxation with a friend and this place did not even come close to meeting our expectations. Nail techs were not personable nor skilled. If youre looking for mediocre, overpriced service this is the place for you. The pedicure we both recieved was horrible!!
Visited today for a pedicure and gel nails and my toes look horrible and the guy was very rough, hurting me multiple times. I paid $83 to have to go to a different salon tomorrow to pay more to get my toes fixed.
My sister and I went here for gel manicures. The place was pretty but wow! My sisterβs nails chipped less than 2 days later and less than a week later, all five nails on one hand of mine were peeling. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! I have never had a gel manicure last less than 2-3 weeks and these lasted 2-5 days!!
I love this nail salon. Ben is really good with ingrown nails! Tina did my pedicure yesterday and was a great!! Iβve never had to wait because they have so many chairs!!
Second time going to this nail salon and they did not disappoint! Iβve tried out many nail salons and Anthony Vinceβs is my favorite. I got SNS powder which is $55 (pricey but worth the service)...I would 10/10 recommend :) plus if you get a service thatβs more than $60 you get a free glass of wine! Very happy with the service I received!
Have been going here for years now. Wouldnβt go anywhere else. Love, love, love!!
This is a very nice nail salon. The ambiance is great. The interior design is relaxing and makes the experience much more enjoyable.
This place is awesome! Beautiful and everyone was so kind. Tan and Andy were fabulous! My nails look perfect.
A go to place when all my friends are in town. Very spacious for a girls day. Accommodating and friendly, plus wonderful drinks.
I was very excited to try this place but my technician was terrible and had an awful attitude. Decided not to get gel nails reapplied after she removed them and she and the manager acted very rude. Do NOT recommend and will NOT be back!
Came in on 6/12/19, got a manicure/pedicure... The technician half painted my nails, half filed my nails then after I pointed out her deficiencies she act like she didnβt see the problem, rush job. Over the years I have supported this business left for a while and came back, even with locations change. I wonβt be back...They are down low racist. They rub, take they time on races of a white color, kiss they assess... but your money spend the same as thereβs . I forgot dirty south... I will support businesses that respects my money... Duces!!ππ½βπ½π£
My experience was PHENOMENAL! I get a mani/pedi every two weeks for at least the past 10 years, and this nail salon is the BEST compared to all of my past experiences.
Had a wonderful, relaxing pedicure from Henry. The atmosphere is just perfect and relaxing. This will be my go to place for pedicures.ThanksJanice K. H.
Yikes. Facilities are very clean BUT the services are extremely overpriced. $32 for the lowest priced pedicure PLUS $40 for a regular gel manicure to bring it to a whopping $72 before tip. No one else in Mountain Brook outside of a proper spa even begins to charge $40 for a gel manicure.
Called twice to ask what price pedicures and an SNS mani started at and got hung up on twice. The first time I thought it was accidental. 2nd time is definitely not an accident. Between that the already garbage reviews, Ill definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
I will not be back. My lady first painted my toe nails the wrong color, when I told her it was wrong she tried to tell me that I was wrong, and then I showed her where she grabbed the wrong number color. Then she rushed with the correct color and did a horrible job, getting polish all outside my nail onto my skin. I got gel on my finger nails and they have already chipped 4 days later.
They were amazing. Some of the ladies were really abrupt with our nails.
In such a hurry to finish. Tried to cover errors with more polish instead of redoing. This will never dry and will last a day at best.
Reasonably priced, very clean, nice atmosphere, nice people
This was a mediocre experience for the price. Nothing beats Soho Nail Spa in Homewood.
The atmosphere is beautiful, however the service seemed rushed. The shape of my nails and application of polish was lazily done, especially considering I paid $50 ($60 after tipping) for a fill-in.
Was very rushed and rough. Made my finger and thumb bleed.
Awesome...
Great nail salon
Horrible lies about using gel and does not! Would not recommend to anyone unless you wanna waste money! Also yells at customers
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience! Rude staff and way overpriced. The massage part of the pedicure only lasted a minute. And my polish was done horribly and rushed, and they werenβt even busy. Was rushed out and when confronting the manger about my experience he was rude and unprofessional. Will be taking my business else where from now on. Save your money!
