My wife and I lived here for a little over 2 years and have loved it. It is extremely convenient to shopping, restaurants, & within 15 minutes from anything around Birmingham. The maintenance staff goes above and beyond in making repairs and they are always personable with you and the leasing office has always been friendly, also.I’m partial, but this is the best apartment complex in the city. The residents keep to themselves for the most part and have never had a noise issue.

Lived here for a year. Incredibly convenient location and the staff is awesome. They’re professional, responsive, understanding, and always happy to answer any questions. Our AC started acting up one day and they sent someone same day go fix it. Had the occasional bug but nothing out of the ordinary and some may have been our fault for not sealing away / cleaning food daily every now and then in the kitchen. Nothing “infestation” level, and if so I’m sure they’d do something about it immediately once you call the office. Sometimes parking can get pretty full, but if that’s the worst problem I’ll take it.The pool is great. The workout room is convenient and enough to get the job done except for big-time lifters. A friendly office staff and neighbors. Target and CFA are in your backyard, right off 280, super safe area. Definitely would recommend.

Jenny had set up an appointment with my girlfriend the day prior then left her sitting outside on the curb for over an hour missing the appointment because everyone in the office had to go on lunch at the same time. Didn’t even take her through the apartment and her coworker was the only one that said anything to her. Thanks for the tour Jenny.

We have lived at Cahaba Grandview Apartment Homes for almost two years now and we are very pleased with our experience so far. Jenny and Matt, the management team, have been very responsive to any issues that we may have had. The maintenance team is very responsive and does a great job. The grounds are kept clean and the landscaping is well maintained. My only complaint is that there are not enough parking spaces especially on the weekends.Overall, I would still rate our experience and satisfaction with Cahaba Grandview Apartments as five stars.

Cahaba Grandview is the best complex I have resided in. The quality of their apartments is top of the line and the people who reside around me are very friendly . I have been here going on two years now and I have had minimal issues . Maintenance responds quickly (rarely needed) and they are also very professional and friendly. Moving here was one of my greatest decisions and I recommend that anyone gives this place a look if they are looking for somewhere great to reside !

Recently relocated to Birmingham from Atlanta - so far, so good. I love the location and the shopping choices in the surrounding areas. The move in process was smooth. The only con this place has - a select few ABSOLUTELY refuse to pick up after their pets which is mind boggling to me!! Your pet has to go through an entire onboarding process in order to live here - pictures, shot records, a pet fee, etc. Secondly, residents sign an agreement that states owners will be fined if their pets poop is laying around. I doubt that part of the policy is enforced. If it were, maybe there werent be so many piles of poo throughout the property. I took away a star due to this issue.

Cahaba at Grandview was hands down a great complex to live in. Maintenance was always great and the staff did not change for the year that we were there, aside from hiring one girl in the office.staff was always professional and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.***Our cars did get broken into, this happens on 280 where people just hit the nice complexes and see whose cars are unlocked. Luckily, all I had taken from me was some change.*** 4 stars because the second gate did not work for me, ever.

We just recently moved into this apartment complex around 2 months ago and we dont plan on leaving! This apartment complex has everything a young couple could ask for. It has a spacious living space with beautiful cabinets and appliances. The hardwood floors definitely make living here easier with my pets as well. The dog park is spacious and has green grass (not dirt). One component of the apartment that I love is being able to walk to Target! The maintenance men have always been respectable and timely when fixing repairs (which are minimal). Matt the leasing manager is AMAZING to say the least! He is so kind and fun! They have great parties for the complex that included alcohol! Overall love this place!!

Where to even start? I sat down in their office this past Friday freaking out because I had just signed a lease with an apartment complex across town and was miserable within the first 5 minutes. Upon entering the leasing office, Matt immediately sensed something was wrong and asked how he could help. That alone spoke volumes. (1st hint that I knew wed be friends :)) After telling Jenny (Property Manager) and Matt what happened, all efforts were focused on fixing my issue - simply helping. I told them I needed a 1 bedroom ASAP. I told them what I wanted, they listened, and got my apartment ready in 2ish-3 days. Thats unheard of. The community is quiet, safe, and gorgeous. You can tell people take pride in living here. Theyre super pet friendly and I could not be happier for all the love I received upon walking in those doors. I am SO excited to be living here. You guys are the best! Thank you for going above and beyond to make this experience seamlessly perfect :)

I am preparing to move away this week and relocate for work after living here for a year. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cahaba Grandview The staff is friendly and personable, and I ALWAYS enjoy chatting with all of them when I come into the office. I actually moved here on a Whim last year, and Matt and Johnnie Lea got me squared away and feeling at home within one day. As for the complex, its quiet — no loud parties — and is located right by a great shopping area with a Super Target, Best Buy and plenty of restaurants that you can walk to. (And avoid 280 traffic!) But if you DO have to get in your car, Cahaba Grandview is convenient to everything. As for my own apartment, Ive really loved it, especially the abundant natural light and the huge kitchen. Another big deciding factor for me was the office staff! Matt was the first person I met there, and he made my move from GA so seamless and wonderful!! He was super kind and so attentive to any concerns before deciding to rent which made it feel so easy! Moving 3 hours and knowing your move is taking care of? What more could you ask for! And the rest of the team? Well, I have to brag on them all!! Johnnie Lea is absolutely wonderful and so sweet when you have to go into the office (I used to go a lot for packages before the new awesome package concierge)! Also, most complexes you never hear or meet the manager, but Jenny is the best one of any place I’ve ever lived! I had a work colleague who moved into Cahaba Grandview last year, and they had absolutely nothing but good things to say. I will be moving from Georgia to Birmingham and decided to stop in for a tour to see the apartments. I toured with Matt, who made me feel nothing but appreciated and wanted. I was really taken back at the fact of how I was treated, but secondly- how the apartments/property really reflect a sense of ‘personality’ that truly goes along with the personalities that I witnessed in the office. Fun, loving and inviting! I looked at both a renovated and classic apartment they had available. (of course I fell in love with the renovated)Needless to say, they were my first stop and my only stop. I walked out with pure confidence in my decision, as I sign my lease in April! From my understanding he called maintenance while I was in the leasing office, but once I got back they claim they never sent maintenance. Pest control came that same day he reported it to them, they never call me, but once I showed back up everybody seems like they were waiting for an reaction like they knew what was going on. The maintenance guy that followed me was no where to be found . I ask them where was he they hit me with “ what black truck, what Maint. guy “ ..... the break in was all fake they didn’t take money nor the purses they took small thinks, didn’t even ramshackle the place. They used a crowbar to get into the apartment . WOW ! They are sick !! Action will take place, to prove my point. Material things doesn’t matter, but to show them that they will not get away with what they will see. Please note the break in took place in an hour after I pissed them off and left !

I was very disappointed with this place. Rented 2 units here for several months. I think it is built adjacent to a sewage plant, as every night, it SMELLS RANCID outside.Furthermore, despite never missing or being late on a payment, I felt the management was less than courteous. Some employees in the local office did fine, but we put in a maintenance request midway through the summer, and several months later had never heard back from them. Most egregious of all was the community manager, Christina Laird. We had a specific concern we wanted to discuss with the management, and were referred to speak with her. After leaving a message for her FOUR times, I was finally told to try emailing her. She eventually did reply to my email, but even then she never had the decency to pick up the phone and call a faithful customer who would have given them years of business otherwise. Regardless of what she would have had to say about the matter, it would have been nice to at least speak to her.

Horrible experience. The staff under Bell Cahaba was better before the were purchased and the name changed to Cahaba Grandview. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Youll remember I warned you if you do. For the money you pay, you can find better amenities and a more professional front office across the street or around the corner. They are rarely in the office and rarely answer the phone. The staff under Bell Cahaba seemed genuinely concerned which is one reason I opted to stay there. I have lived in the Bluffs a few years ago during home renovations. The Bluffs were nice people and less expensive, but the rooms were a little smaller, so I reviewed Bell Cahaba and found them to have slightly larger rooms.I was shown the model, which of course was in immaculate condition. I was told that I couldnt see the apartment that I would get because it was still occupied. I was told it had a creek/river view. When I was ready to move, the unit was behind the pool. It was loud all day and all night during the summer months. My first few weeks I was kept up by a dog barking and later found out, it was jumping inside his kennel trying to break free. They didnt know the pet was there and didnt believe me when I reported it. One day, I caught the manager outside and he heard the dog barking, which it did for hours! The toilets didnt flush well. The patio had green mold all over it and they wouldnt clean it up.This past winter I came home to my apartment with all the lights on and large commercial fans in the master bedroom and living room. A pipe had burst and flooded both areas. No one called to let me know what was happening and made no apologies when questioned. The flood destroyed some of my clothing. They told me thats what my insurance is for. They are very insensitive, they have no compassion.Dog poop was all of the complex lawn. No one picks up after their pets and the complex doesnt clean it either. The breeze way is constantly filled with lint from dryers. Stays there for months at a time. The gate were useless because they rarely worked. If the concern is keeping out rift raft, forget it. I never felt safe there, but I was stuck in a contract. When I finally moved, I transferred my power a few days early as I purchased a home. The bill was $17. They charged a penalty of $50 on top of that for disconnecting service 11 days in advance. The excuse was that they had to treat everyone the same and they charged the same $50 fee to a person with a 0.86 bill. I said told him that that was ridiculous. He laughed. Someone is going to sue over this one day.DONT PAY SO MUCH MONEY FOR A CRUMMY APARTMENT COMPLEX. YOU ARE NOT APPRECIATED AS A TENANT. ONCE YOU SIGN, THEY HAVE YOU BY THE BALLS!

I moved in October 2016 when this neighborhood was nice. Since then they have sold to a new parent company and gone downhill. I was on a first floor unit that constantly had trash blown all over the grass, back deck, and in the breezeway...all employees walked right past it and seemed as if it was up to the tenants to clean up. I would agree if the tenants were the ones making most of the mess but they have had a contracting group come in and drop a dumpster in the parking lot which constantly is filled past capacity. Every little gust of wind that comes through makes the trash situation worse and worse. The pool (and amenity) - Ask to go by the pool while checking the place out if you do. The apartment complex does not keep this clean. In fact there has been several times we have been down to the pool and all trash cans are over flowing with garbage along with the grills stinking due to never being cleaned - 3 out of the 4 times I tried to use them there was no gas. Another grip is the guest policy - I am all for having guests over to use the pool but I have had to leave the pool twice after a resident decides to throw a party with 30+ guests (management didnt say a word). The dog park - NEVER cleaned up, rarely does any resident pick up after their dog (in or out of the dog park - literally feces everywhere in this complex), and management doesnt clean it up either. My air conditioner broke several times due to the complex not doing the typical upkeep on it - things as simple as changing the filter (at least once every 6 months). At one point I had two families (7 total people) living above me in a two bed room. They do not enforce anything in this apartment complex and will let anyone move in.When you move out prepare to try and battle with the office staff because they will tell you one thing then turn right around and bill you for it.WORST management group - save your money and go across the street.

The apartment was not move in ready and we were not told beforehand. I took time off work, paid for equipment and people to help us move, showed up ready, and they told us we couldn’t move in. That is our time and money wasted because the office staff were too busy/forgot to give us a call the day before. We were not offered a walk-through of our apartment beforehand, so we didn’t know what condition our apartment would be in when we moved in. The toilet seat was off, floors, windows, and kitchen counter were disgusting, lights were not installed, and I stepped on a nail. After a month of living there, the apartment was finally somewhat ready after going back and forth with the front office staff. At least 2 of our packages have gone missing and they make the residents go around the area to (unsuccessfully) search for it. Sometimes, it feels as if the office staff do the bare minimum. The rent deposit box is inside, so if they’re not in the office (which is often), then you can’t pay rent. I had to delay my trip because the office staff were late/out of office the morning I was leaving. The gates are almost always broken and there has been a lot of shady events that have happened since I’ve moved in.The only plus side is that the set up of the apartment is nice, but it’s not worth all the trouble we’ve been through since moving here. I gave Cahaba Grandview the benefit of the doubt instead of listening to all the reviews on here, but living here has been a disappointment.

My wife and I moved into the once great Bell Cahaba Apartments in early 2016. For the first 2 years, everything was excellent. We loved our apartment and the management there. However, once JMG Realty took over, things took a turn for the worse. The new management had granite countertops & sinks installed - which were nice - but they never finished the job in our unit. The install crew knocked holes in parts of the drywall (which were never fixed), and exposed trim and nails were left scattered everywhere. It took several phone calls and emails to get them to send someone to finish the install. Since then, maintenance was NEVER reliable, public grills never worked for me, groundskeeping was poor, and the gates were broken 90% of the time. We finally found a house and informed the management that we would be moving. Then we were shocked when they said that they required TWO MONTHS advance notice of a move - regardless that our annual contract was ending before that. We were stuck with almost another month of rent because of this. So even though weve moved out, were still paying for our old room which remained completely clean and empty during this time. Feels like nothing more than a last-minute cash grab. This past year put sour taste in my mouth especially after it started out so well.On a positive note, the room layout is very nice, and the complex is very conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. But good location doesnt outweigh the negatives. Im sad to say I would no longer recommend moving to Cahaba Grandview. I hope to one day see this place brought back up to the standard it once held.

Cahaba Grandview is the worst apartment complex I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. When we first moved in, the complex was great. However, in October of 2017, the complex was sold out to new management and things have just spiraled downward since. To begin, the fitness center is atrocious. Nearly all of the equipment is outdated or broken. As of right now, there is only one functional treadmill. The other treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, and weight bench are broken and have been for at least 4-5 months now. When I asked the leasing office if they planned to fix these things, they said no as they were focusing on other things in the complex. In addition, this complex is riddled with bugs. During our lease we have had to completely clean out our pantry on FOUR SEPARATE OCCASSIONS due to Ants infiltrating. On several occasions we have even found scorpions in our apartment. One week in January was particularly bad. We had pest control come and spray our apartment on a Monday, and by Thursday the ants were back again. When I went to the leasing office to request a revisit from pest control I was told that I should not expect much since we only pay $5 per month with our rent for pest control and that I should take a trip to Home Depot to get something and do it myself. I am including pictures of some of the pest problems we’ve had during our stay. Also, the complex has been going under renovations that have been extremely inconvenient to all residents. The car wash station has been inaccessible for over 2 months due to countertops being stored there. These countertops have also blocked the view of a crucial intersection in the complex and I have witnessed several near accidents as a result. The workers for the renovations are also very rude and inconsiderate of the complex and its residents. They are constantly making a mess of the complex and were even staying in the apartment above mine for nearly a month until I complained to the leasing office. We would hear them stomping around as late as 1-2AM and as early as 5AM on weekdays. To top it all off, they charge an additional $33 if you want to pay for your rent online. I cannot wait to leave this complex at the end of my lease. I even put in my notice to vacate 6 months prior to the end of our lease just to make sure they knew we were getting the hell out. Avoid this place at all costs. UPDATE: Added picture of the heaping pile of trash that has conveniently been placed outside of my particular apartment for over a month now. EDIT: For some reason the pictures wont post with my review, but Id be glad to send them to anyone interest.

Great management staff and nice apartments. May not be the least expensive in the area, but well worth the additional cost.

This place is a JOKE! My husband and I rented an apartment from them for about ten months! We had to cut our lease short due to my husband dad just being diagnosed with ALS, we ended up having to move back to Florida! The management at Bell cahaba did not have any Sympathy that we had to drop our whole life and move back to Florida they basically just wanted us to pay them their termination fee(Which was to me Kinda ridiculous because we were only moving out two months shy of our lease end date). We ended up paying a good chunk to break our lease because we just was done and didn’t want to be bother with it. A few weeks later we receive a notice in our mail saying that we owe $400 because the carpet need to be replaced due to our dog. So of course we call them To try and figure out what exactly we are paying for. weeks went by And still no answer or call back. This to me was very unprofessional and I have never dealt with any apartment that did not care to call Residence back. While waiting for them to respond back to us to try and figure out why we owe $400 we have now been sent to collections. I’m so frustrated with this place! I won’t be living at Bell Cahaba again when we move back to Birmingham! Beside this whole Incident with having to terminate our lease we always received emails about our dog, or our grill, or Cigarettes (we aren’t smokers). It was like every day something different I think it’s very funny that they could respond to me in a timely manner about a grill being left on the porch, but can’t respond to me about why I owe them $400 for carpet. We were good renters we paid our rent on time, we were never a day late! It just shows me that the office staff really could care less about attenats. Do yourself a favor and don’t move here!P.S. I finally got a phone call back from the complex today with why we owe them this money (they said they emailed me,but I haven’t received it if they did). Im not concerned about paying the money . I’m more worked up about them just now calling me back when I called them in August and we have been sent to collections because they decided to take their sweet time in responding to us! It’s pathetic!

Very nice, I would advise checking rates weekly before moving in. Location is busy but worth it.

Avoid this place at all costs. NOT A SAFE OR SECURE COMPLEX!!! Gates dont work most of the time. Neighborhood had a break-in 3 weeks ago. Have had to call for the security officer twice and both times she never came. Birmingham PD takes 20-40 minutes to arrive. Had a residents guest pull a gun on me for asking them to turn down their car stereo in the middle of the night. Needless to say my wife wont walk the dog at night without me with her. Weve requested management ask Bham PD to do extra patrols through the complex but no evidence that the request was made or that Bham PD is even willing to come out. Maintenance is horrible. Weve been reporting our toilet leaking for 4 months and no one has been able to fix it yet and were still having to pay high water bills. When we moved in the unit was not upgraded as promised, paint and sheetrock was coming off the wall from where gutter water has been flowing down the inside of the wall and has still never been fixed. Maintenance workers enter your apartment with no notice and dont leave a note indicating they came. The landscapers are a joke. They blow cuttings, dog poop, and leaves onto your porch and into the inner walkways. Inner walkways also stay littered with dryer lint balls. Only 2 grills at the complex and those rarely work. The pool has turned green 3 times this summer and the pool area gets little upkeep and often has leaves and pine straw coating the concrete decks. On the weekends garbage overflows the one and only dumpster. We pay for pest control yet we constantly battle large roaches, spiders, other bugs and have to go buy our own poisons. Floors have NO insulation and if you are unlucky enough to have a heavy footed persona above you it will sound like someone is beating drums on your ceiling all night long. Sewage treatment plant behind the complex leaves the night air smelling like poop most of the time. Abandoned vehicles littler the parking lot as well, giving the whole complex a trashy ghetto appearance.Maintenance Update:- Toilet reported running over 6 months ago and still not fixed.- Dishwasher reported leaking into the floor 3 weeks ago and still not fixed.- Door lock to our patio reported broken 2 months ago and still not fixed. We were told by the maintenance guy that He did not have time to fix it.- Reported water pouring into our bedroom window during heavy downpours when we first moved in and still not fixed.- No pest control spray in over 5 months. (I know because I work from home and would be here if they came)- No A/C filter changes (supposed to be monthly). I have to put in a service request to do it because they keep the door locked.

This apartment complex is a complete joke. In the range of $1100-$1400 you can find a much better complex with a more friendly staff. This complex at one time was owned by Bell Cahaba and was a completely different apartment complex. A short list of the things that kept me from renewing was: power bills I contacted them about multiple times that were over $220+, my AC went out for 2 weeks with out being fixed, the blinds broke by pulling a string (youll notice they are putting wood ones up now), the clubhouse will never answer the phone unless you call 5 times in a row, they rejected one of my packages from being delivered and the guy working there said there was nothing he could do about it (Even though his boss did say she would pay for it), they charged me numerous amounts of damage fees, and not to mention turned in my damage claim to a debt collector after they had already been paid. This apartment complex is full of a bunch of backstabbing people. The people that manage the property out of Atlanta even have a 1 star or 2 star rating for a good reason. Pay an extra $100 and live across the street or down Cahaba road. Youll thank me later if you do!

The machines at the fitness center are old, dont work well, and one or two of them is usually broken. It seems like the fitness center is never cleaned. They dont have soap in the restrooms in the fitness center nor do they provide wipes to clean the machines after use. The car wash station costs money to use. The trash service costs an additional $25 a month and is not an optional service which leads to trash sitting out in the breezeways which smells and attracts bugs. There are a ton of spiders in and around the apartments and the pest control service they use doesnt work well at all. The apartments have many issues like the carpeting missing the padding underneath in multiple places, cable outlets being painted over, towel racks missing, poor plumbing, etc. #DoNotRentHereUpdate: I stepped on a piece of glass at the pool recently and had to have it removed at the MedHelp Urgent Care down the street. I have noticed many people bringing glass bottles to the pool since. Also, this is supposed to be a gated community but the gates are always either broken or left open.

So many issues with this place. Cracks in the walls due to poor foundation, ANTS EVERYWHERE, my A/C has gone out TWICE, my shower has broken TWICE, and the breezeways have become DISGUSTING!
