Everything was great. I had been traveling for about 5 1/2 hours before my shuttle arrived at its scheduled time which was 11:30. The driver actually arrived early and checked me in. He took my bags and put them on the van and escorted me onto the bus. He advised we would not be leaving for a few minutes so to sit tight. I must admit I was EXTREMELY nervous because it was pouring down in Birmingham which is where we were headed. The driver was a younger guy but sadly I dont remember his name. Once we were ready to leave he told us Good-morning and informed us of the rules as well as letting us know he would stop if we needed to use the restroom. Once the rain started my anxiety kicked in however, he drove perfectly. I felt really safe the entire way. He kept us updated with an ETA throughout the duration of the trip. Once we arrived he unloaded our bags and made sure we were in a safe location before he left. YOU CAN TIP YOUR DRIVER BTW. He definitely received one from me!

I had a wonderful experience riding Groome Transportation!!! The driver Nicole was caring, friendly and a very experienced person in her field. She made the trip from Atlanta to Birmingham so steady and fast, and most important so safe and joyful. It was a very pleasant trip back home and I will be waiting for my next one. I will recommend it to anyone.

The shuttle itself was comfortable and was a good ride. The shuttle showing up on time is a different story. I scheduled a 2:10am shuttle and had a flight at 5am. The shuttle ended up coming at 2:45am. Then we have to drive 5-10 mins out of the way to pick up another person, making me even more late getting to the airport. By the time we got to the airport I had to rush to print my tickets, get through security and get to my gate.

Wish Id found Groome Transportation sooner! I travel from Birmingham to Atlanta often, and for a recent trip I would have needed to rent a car. The shuttle was a convenient and affordable option. The office staff were professional and helpful, my driver (Rodney) was friendly and did a great job, and the ride was comfortable. Will definitely use them again.

Used to get from The Villages in Florida to the Orlando airport. Cant beat the price, especially when you consider all the tolls on that trip. The driver arrived on time and was really a great personable guy. We enjoyed the trip.

I used Groomes new service to get from the Orlando airport to The Villages in Florida and back again. Both trips were timely and pleasant, and loved the free home pickup and drop off. The price was great at $19 each way. Great value and the van wasnt over crowded.

So glad to have this transportation option! However, really need to be able to get through on the phone lines more quickly; crucial at times, when youre traveling. Also, I was given the incorrect pickup time on the phone by customer service. Only off by 10 minutes, but it made a difference. Also, MOST IMPORTANTLY - your travel times need to take in to consideration time differences (!!!) If Id gone with what your website suggested, my daughter would have possibly missed her flight. Pickup time in Birmingham, Al, is CST, and departing a flight from Atlanta, Ga, is EST. My daughter said your service was top notch, though. If you can just improve these other areas, it would be fantastic. Thanks.

My son is a student at U of Alabama. This past weekend, Groome was supposed to pick him up at drive him to Birmingham airport. The shuttle picking him up was 20 minutes late. No phone call and no text to alert him that they were running late. Additionally, we called the Groome main line and asked where was the driver. I don’t understand why each driver is not tracked (in real time) so his/her whereabouts are known at all times. I had booked this for my daughter going from Birmingham back to the University of AL. She said it was a pleasant ride and wasnt very crowded on her 10:30 am or so time she booked. I just gave it a 4/5 since she said the shuttle was 25 minutes late. Not too bad since I know Groome has recently just started this route from Birmingham. Cost is not bad at $29. Just gave 4/5 stars since they were 25 minutes late. I would think 10 - 15 minutes late is acceptable, but I know traffic in the area can be bad. We will use Groome and recommend it again!

This was the first time I used Groome to travel to Atlanta from Alabama and to my surprise the bus was on time sharp at 9.30 am and had few seats which were available. It was a smooth ride to the airport and I reached way before time. It was a good experience and the right choice to use Groome. Highly recommended!

From the beginning of June I have traveled with Groome an average of 3 out of every 4 weeks. I have had great drivers but I have also had those that scared me. I have had drivers that were early and those that were late, up to 35 minutes past the scheduled pick up time. But last week did it. I had a reservation for my Saturday pick up at a time later than normal. The night before I called and changed it back to my normal time. On Saturday I arrived 30 minutes early and called to inform them I was at the scheduled location, waiting. 15 minutes before the scheduled time I called again to confirm the booking. They assured me all was good. No transport. 25 minutes AFTER the scheduled time I called again and was told I would be picked up in 1 hour and 20 minutes that somehow I was not put on the correct manifest. I asked to speak with the manager and was told she may be in later that afternoon and once again I was assured she would call. On Monday I still had not heard from Groome so I called and spoke with a manager who seemed not to care about the situation. They credited me my booking fee but I am thoroughly disappointed in this company.

Excellent service from door to door. There was a large van waiting outside of the building so i knew where to go. Inside the building you can wait, use the restroom, and use the vending machine to grab snacks. Watch the clock because the drivers are very prompt.The ride to Atlanta was easy and smooth. Air conditioning made the ride comfy but bring a jacket or blanket just in case you’re cold natured. The driver was friendly and never used the phone/computer while the van was moving. I felt safe.The Atlanta airport makes all passenger vans drop off at the south terminals so beware that you will have to walk a short walk across to the north terminals. Good experience! Wish I had known about this before.

I was allowed to book at shuttle for a time that wasn’t offered. I needed a shuttle on March 1st at 2:30am and after verbally confirming the availability I was able to confirm and pay. Once we arrived at the building we were told that we missed our 1 am shuttle. The lady was professional But it wasn’t anything she could do to accommodate the time because she didn’t have a driver.

My driver was super friendly and helpful when I explained to him that missed my first shuttle do to my flight being late. Unfortunately the customer service team on the phone had mixed answers for me when I explained I’ll be running 10 minutes late. the first rep told me they would wait. The second one I talked to said “there is no way we can do that. The shuttle can’t wait on a individual”. So I had to wait 90 minutes on my next shuttle. At the end it really was 10 minuets that missed my first shuttle by. Still great service. Thank you

Good price, but their customer service is lacking. I was left at the airport with no way of knowing if the shuttle would come. Customer service lady on the phone was very adverse to talking to customers. Needed to get a ride from some nice people to actually finish the shuttle trip!

My flight got cancelled to Birmingham, and the best the airline could do was get me to Atlanta. I scheduled a last minute Groome from the Atlanta airport to Birmingham over the phone, and they were super kind and helpful! The ride was easy! I am very appreciative!

I have used many times over the past couple of years and had never been disappointed. But this time I signed up for pickup at a new location and the van didnt show up and no one called. Finally went to Groom Office and made a different Shuttle in time for my flight.

Firstly, the bus was a half an hour late in picking up passengers including myself at Birmingham. It was extremely cold and this did not go down well with me.Secondly, nowhere did I see that there was a limitation on the number a baggage pieces and as a result I was charged $50 for two extra bags that I had which I feel was exorbitant. Will not ever use you again.

My Driver was wonderful and on time!! However I received calls at 3am that they had no driver for me at 6am after already calling to confirm. I had to take a later shuttle and almost missed my flight! This is the second time this has happened!! On my way to Tuscaloosa I wasn’t even on their list and I was the only person at the airport. The driver had been given the wrong days list. Thank god she showed up thinking their was a different passenger waiting or I would have been stranded by myself at the airport with no one their after it closed for the night.

Great service for a really great price. Using this service is a lot simpler than driving to Atlanta and parking (pay$) then walking to terminal. Also easier than flying. The pickup point is right outside the terminal, the vans are comfortable, looks like they run every 90 minutes to Birmingham during the day. If you are going round trip, there is plenty of free parking at the Birmingham location.

I’ve always used groome and it’s very affordable and somewhat organized. Although it’s always very unclear as to what vehicle will be arriving at the airport to pick you up or exactly what time they’ll be there. I’ve had drivers arrive half an hour early or 15 minutes late. Last time, it was a large tour bus that didn’t say groome on it. Luckily, a man came inside to tell us that it was parked outside, but if he wouldn’t have i would’ve never known! Communication with who their picking up (what vehicle they’ll be driving, eta, etc.) would make this service much better and easier to use!

I use Groome a lot lately, it’s absolutely brilliant and effective! Clean Vans, safe drivers and service. Now today on the other hand, our driver already radioed dispatch to inform to give information of total passengers, name and phone number. I was a walk up passenger it’s bad enough the driver had to call out my entire name on the radio in a car filled with 9 passengers. She also had to call out my phone number! Halfway through our journey on the highway dispatch is asking our driver the same questions before we took off WHILE SHES DRIVING! We had to tell her NO she’s driving and can’t be reading stuff off a clipboard. Dispatch needs to sort themselves out! Thank you.

I have used Groome twice now in the last week. Dedra (1:30am to Atlanta) was my first ride out to Atlanta, very friendly, felt safe entire ride. Pratrick was my second ride (8:30pm to Birmingham). Good conversation, friendly personality, felt very safe! Groome is an excellent time saving and money saving transportation service to use if you’re headed to Atlanta Airport from Birmingham or back home to Birmingham from Atlanta. I highly recommend this service. Also if you’re flying out International they will take you to international terminal and will pick you up when you come in at domestic. Simply just take Blue shuttle from international to domestic and Groome picks you up right where Blue shuttle drops you off. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

Ive been using Groome Transportation for travel to the Atlanta airport for several months, and its been an excellent experience. Theyre always on time and professional, and its a comfortable ride, with drop-off at the curb. It costs much less than driving and parking my car at the airport and is certainly more convenient. I should have been doing this long ago.One precaution: If youre using pickup in Oxford as I do, you probably cant book online, and you may not get good info online. Call them to book. Last time it took me two calls to convince the agent that they did indeed offer pickup at the time I needed. I hope this improves.

This company run shuttles between Auburn and the Atlanta airport, Birmingham Airport and Tuscaloosa and many other cities in the southeast to various destinations. I highly recommend this service- very affordable -and it’s excellent for college kids too.

Groome picked me up on time and the van was very nice. The only issue is that the driver had a bad cold and blew here nose constantly, then a few days into my vacation, I got a bad cold. Put a real damper on my trip.

I took the services of Groome Transportation for my trip to and from BHM airport. The shuttle picked me up and dropped me on time. The only suggestion from my side is that it would be slightly more convenient to us users if we could select the pickup time rather than the website doing it for us. My flight was at 3.50 PM but I ended up being allotted a pickup time of 9.25 AM and reached the airport by 10.45 AM. I couldnt find an option where I could select the pickup time convenient for me. I reckon this was done so that the customer wouldnt miss their flight due to traffic on the way or any other unforeseen circumstances. Thats why I decided to not deduct any stars. I hope the service stays as cheap as it is now.

The van was loaded high and tight and there is very little leg room. If you are over six foot tall or have joint pain this isnt a good form of transportation. I wrote a letter to groome stating I like the concept but the amount of space in their fleet wasnt appealing or comfortable

This is one of the best things thats happened to travelers from Birmingham who need to catch a flight from ATL. At a low price you get the comfort of a peaceful shuttle to the airport. The drivers of the shuttle are on a mission to get you there on time. You also have the option to get a ride from several satellite pick up location to the main office where the shuttle begins.Group rides can become slightly expensive and there should be some discounts provided for group travelers.

Great customer service, but very poor execution. This is the second mishap in a week’s time. My daughter’s reservation was for 12:30 am, but the driver didn’t get there until 1:45 am. There was no explanation as to why the driver was last. There was no phone call, text, or email. When I attempted to call I got an operator at an office in another state who also couldn’t tell me what was going on, nor could he get through to the office. 7 calls later, the office person tells me they should be there in 5 minutes... he arrived 15 minutes later. Apparently their system was down, but the lack of communication to the patrons was so unprofessional and rude. The person at the desk at my daughter’s pick up spot asked her if she’d already paid. When she said yes, he said they’re always late. He even apologized for their unprofessional practices. Never again!

Flight was canceled due to weather and was unable to reach my destination. This causes me to no longer need to use the transportation service and was not able to get a refund. Was visiting family and will not need to use the service again so the credit is useless to me.

Wonderful experience for me and our customers. Last minute change in flights and we had to call Groome to get us home. Very competitive price and our driver, Mr. Al Davis, who has over 20 years of driving big trucks really took care of us and was very friendly and experienced. The driver’s assistant was not engaging at all. He did not greet us. The driver was pleasant, nice and engaging. Seat space is too narrow. Overall, the trip was ok. Not having to drive was a bonus.

Driver drove very erratic and straddling the lane most of the trip. Tried sleeping as it was the 1130 pm shuttle leaving AtlantaNo luck after being banged around and tossed around. Drivers need to consider the comfort of their passengers when making swift and jerking motions. But at $7.25 an hour drivers pay you get what you pay for.
