Tran not only did a terrible terrible job with my daughter haircut (we had to go to another place to get it fixed afterwards) but treated my wife and daughter so rudely that she called me crying from the shop.Ive been coming to this place for 5 years, they lost me as a client and the other 12 people that I recommended this place to.

Fantastic place. I’ve been going there since I was 2 years old (16 years of my life). Highly recommend for families and business men alike. Staff is so friendly and prices are very reasonable. Haircuts are quick, but well done. There is easy parking around the place as well. Overall really amazing place.

Been going here for a while and have always had a good experience. Big fan of straight razor shave on the neck, which Bon does under normal circumstances. But things aren’t normal right now. Currently open and meticulously following county guidance for distancing and appointments, which means their volume is way down compared to normal but you feel safe. If you go, consider boosting your tip to help the good people make up some lost ground.

Our family loves Trans Barber Shop in Bethesda! Bob is my sons favorite barber. The prices are fantastic and the wait is never very long (if at all). It is cash only, but they have an ATM machine inside the shop if needed. Highly recommended!!!

I have been a patron of Trans Barber Shop for over a year. Mei has taken care of me but there are many other competent barbers like Tran or Jack. They can cut hair of any aged male and can do beards too. This isnt exactly a full shampoo hot towel barber but will give you a five star DC Power Elite haircut in under 30 mins for $18.

Excellent barbershop. Everyone there will cut your hair just the way you want it. I particularly like Bon and Tran. Very efficient. They’ll get you in and out. And they’re nice.

Great barber shop! Location is great with plenty of parking in the garage. The staff are friendly and welcoming and you get a great haircut at a great price! Tony at Trans Barber Shop has been cutting my hair for the better part of 6 years. I live in downtown DC and still make the trip to Bethesda to get my haircut when needed. There is something to be said for being able to trust the person that is cutting your hair...and I know walking in that I will get a top notch haircut at an affordable price. This place is great. As long as I live in the area I will never go anywhere else. Ask for Tony! You wont be disappointed.

Ive been getting my hair cut there for years... and while my hair is thinner now, their service and only increased! Tran cuts all three of my Sons hair and once even my Daughter. I love their fast paced, friendly style. Tran is always in a GREAT mood and that makes even a rainy day, a wonderful visit. Cant say enough about their ability to make you look good, at a great price and in and out quick with a smile!

Great place very sterile safe from covid

I just went there yesterday because I work in the area and needed a haircut for this weekend. Ive sworn off of unisex salons and I try to go exclusively to independently owned, male barber shops. After reading the reviews online here, I thought Id try out Trans. I stopped in and Tran was busy with a customer, but he had a female stylist there. Now after so many disasters with women on my head and having such good luck lately with men, Id sworn them off. But I needed the cut so I sat with her. And Im glad I did, because she shattered my prejudices and cut a great head of hair. She really took her time, probably 20-30 minutes on only a trim. She used both scissors and clippers, even taking the time to straight-razor the back of my neck. The only drawback is my own preference, in that I like the male atmosphere of a good barber shop. But I cant at all take away from her ability, she really did a wonderful and meticulous job. The price was $14 + Tip, which is a few bucks more than where I live, but not bad at all for Bethesda. And really, for satisfaction, whats an extra couple of dollars. All in all, I highly recommend this place and will likely be going back.

Tran has been cutting my husband’s hair for 15+ years and my son’s for 10 years. Tran is a true professional and a really nice guy. It’s easy to see why he has so many loyal customers. The attention to detail and care that he gives to each customer is outstanding.

A great barbershop. Busy on the weekends, so try and arrive on a weekday (wait isnt bad usually, at most 20 min). Theres good reason its busy!An extremely good price for the level of detail, care, and serivce provided. Trans barbers are all competent, professional, and good at what they do.Cash only, so dont forget to visit an ATM. A little over $20 (incl. tip) for such style is a good deal.

Ive been living in the DC area for 5 years and this is the best place to get a standard male haircut. Best to come here on the weekdays as weekends can get busy. The cost is $15 which is very reasonable for the attention you receive. Ive only had my hair cut by Tran and he is the best out there. I use to live a block away from this place which is how I found it but now that I moved 15 minutes away, I still come back here for a haircut. Never any complaints and no regrets when I walk out of this place.

Trans basic barber is the place to get good attention and a fine haircut. In business for over 15 years, Tran runs a clean, no-frills shop that provides excellent, affordable haircuts.

Mostly a solid barber choice. Can be hit or miss depending on which barber you get. A great deal. You can almost always get a cut without waiting and they are always friendly. They only take cash - no credit card.
