Lily was outstanding. As it was my first haircut in 16 months (due to the pandemic), I was hesitant in walking into a store. Lily was welcoming and explained the protocols. She also took time to answer any questions. After a head massage, I received a fantastic haircut with a follow-up shampoo. Great conversation. The worst haircut I’ve had in years. Decades. Sherree was very nice, but it took 4 tries to do a barber fade, and never got there. After 70 minutes and 4 tries I gave up and went to another barber shop to fix it. Not recommended.

I waited for 2 visits (1 month apart) with Lily before writing a review. On the first visit, she listened carefully to my request for a scissor cut versus a razor.. I have had poor experiences with razor cuts only. From the beginning, it was apparent that she was adept with scissors and not only did it look good, it lasted for several weeks. Her area was clean and comfortable. Some aroma therapy and a shoulder massage was an added benefit. I would highly recommend Lily and am glad to have found a shop with a consistent experience.( PS 67yo with straight thinning hair on top)

Sydney was awesome and is a pure professional. I got a great haircut and a straight razor shave and was very happy with both. They are still requiring masks for all customers except during a shave which I find a little humorous given how adamant the desk lady was about masks.

I have been a customer for around 2 years. Always happy when I leave the chair! Lilly does a great job cutting my hair and trimming my beard. Once I told her how I wanted my hair to look, she has given me a consistently superior haircut. Lilly is very experienced and knowledgeable. She has even taught me how to trim my beard and keep it neat between cuts. The store itself is clean and quiet and I like the option to book on line. Ill keep coming back.

Sidney Williams is an A+ barber -- great skill and consistency, combined with outstanding customer service. Just a fantastic guy. Roosters is expensive, but if you work with Sidney, its worth it.

One of their Barbers, Angela, completely wasted my time. I showed up for a 9:45 at 9:40 and waited until 10:25 before going elsewhere. When I left she was just beginning the other customer’s beard lol. So unprofessional and didn’t even realize how long she was wasting. Go to the barber shop next door to this spot, way better, cheaper, faster, better customer service, and a better quality cut. (Been to roosters before and the cut was a 6/10)

Both my son Zach and I go to Roosters and are very loyal to Angela. Always a wonderful haircut and she is precise, on time and v friendly.

What an unbelievable hair cut and experience. I had the pleasure of having Darryl cut my hair. The conversation lasted almost an hour. He asked where I was from and the conversation continued from there into the unknown of discourse. Gave me one of the best hair cuts in my entire life.

Generally haircuts are tasks not befitting a premium, but the skills and attention of the Rooster staff make it a good deal.

Hello, I normally do not contact customer service for corporate companies unless I have a major complaint, but I wanted to recognize one your stylists. I received a haircut and shave at the Bethesda location on Friday 2/7 from Angela. It was my first visit and it certainly will not be my last. Angela is a fantastic provider as she left no detail ignored. Having lived in DC for 10 years, I have experienced many barbers/stylists/beauticians/etc. and Angela is truly exceptional. Thorough, careful, informative, gentle, and knowledgeable are just a few of the words I would use to describe Angela and the experience she provided. I look forward to many more visits with Angela!

When I moved to the area four years ago, I was concerned that I wouldnt find a grooming center that I loved. I was pleasantly surprised, though, when I walked into Roosters Mens Grooming Center. The staff is friendly and the level of service is unmatched. I also love the ease of booking my monthly appointments online. Lily is wonderful and I make sure to see her for every appointment!

Great haircuts and service, and very clean.

Not worth the (very) high cost. The last haircut I had there ended up looking uneven and pretty crummy. When I phoned and said the job needed to be done properly I was told that the person who did it wouldnt be back for a couple of days. I made an appointment and came in, but instead of fixing the mistake for free I was charged a hefty fee. I never went back.

I had an amazing experience, I was taken care of by Ode (not sure if that is how his name is spelled). He took his time getting the fade right and his attention to detail was the best. I had the straight razor shave and he wad very careful not to cut me. His customer service is superb and he is super friendly. I would highly recommend him.

Recently got a haircut here during the first week they were open after Covid closure. The sanitation protocols in place put me at ease. Angela the manager was very friendly and gave me a great haircut. Glad I went.

I was sent here as a Fathers day gift, and Ill be definitely be making a few return trips. The experience was such that it definitely needs to be repeated. Sidney was the gentleman that took care of me, and I wish I could give him his own review as he is largely what made my experience so great. That aside, I can do little more than wholeheartedly recommend treating yourself or the man in your life to a visit at least a few times.

Horrible customer service, my son and I walked in looking to get haircuts. We sat down and were never acknowledged. After 10 minutes of waiting without anybody saying a word to us, we got up and asked about a haircut. We were ignored, then we walked out and nobody said a word. I wish the haircuts were good, so that they have a reason to not worry about their customer service, but their haircuts looked like trash. It’s also ridiculously expensive. Would not be worth it if they were the last barbers on earth.

Ive had two good experiences here so far. The cut I received was just what I wanted, and was something more like what you would ask of a stylist than of a barber. I was quite happy with the results.Also, if youve never experienced an old-fashioned straight razor and hot towel shave, youre in for a treat. It was a decadent, luxurious experience. Would love to do that again soon, but it takes extra time that I dont always have.

I had a great experience with my haircut today. James handled the grooming and road warrior face wash/facial. Im used to more the corner barber and this was an upgrade to like a barber with a stylist edge. Then did a very nice facial which truly made me feel energized. I told him it made me feel like a boss! Will go again.

I wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to Roosters Bethesda. I have been coming here for a little over six months now. I have been taken care of by Angela, Lilly, Vanna and most recently Odai. I live 45 minutes from this location, however this is the closest Roosters to me and it is well worth the drive. Having been a former 18/8 client, I have been looking for a replacement since that chain emploded locally losing all locations. Roosters far exceeds 18/8 for those familiar. Everyone is truly amazing and you cannot go wrong with any of the folks working here. They listen, are attentative and truly focus on making you look your best with advice, direction and sheer talent. The atmosphere combines the charm of an old school barbershop with modern conveniences and services including aroma therapy. Ony my most recent visit, I made my appointment online which is very easy, however Angela, Lilly and Vanna were not showing availability so I chose Odai. Upon my arrival, Odai approached me and introduced himself informing me that he would be with me as soon as he finished up with his current client. Odai truly took his time and rather uniquely focused on the littlest of items to help me look and feel my best. Conversation was pleasant and personable and he did a remarkable job constantly checking in to ensure I was good. Odai even provided some education and tips I was not aware of to help prolong my look and get a better result daily in between services. Odai is a true professional fitting the Roosters culture. I highly recommend Roosters. Whether seeing Angela, Lilly, Vanna, Odai, or one of the other talented stylists, you are certain to have an experience exceeding your expectations. Thanks, Odai, in just under 24 hours, I received many positive comments on my hair.

Vanna gave me a shave with a straight razor. Now that Im home, I see that my face looks like a war zone! I have 15 nicks on my upper lip. She also made a deep cut in my chin. It took her about 10 minutes to stop the all the bleeding before I left the shop. The flap of skin on the chin cut is filled with the nick powder that she jammed into it to stop the bleeding. My face is going to take a 10 days or more to heal from all the cuts and scrapes! And the worst part is that they charged me $57.00 to slice up my face. Ive never paid more than $30.00 for a straight razor shave before. What a disaster. I bet she was never professionally trained on how to use a straight razor. Im going to see about getting her license revoked, if she has one at all! After seeing my face, Im surprised she didnt cut my jugular.

Ive had a lot of straight razor shaves so Im very understanding of little misses. However this was not a good experience.1. Very very slow, I was in the chair for way too long, over 75 minutes.2. The haircut was fine, not great, but fine.3. got cut three times on the shave, one of them significant enough that its still bleeding back at my office. The razor was dropped in the middle of my shave.Both the ladies working there were incredibly polite and were certainly doing their best. However Im not there to be cordial, Im there for a cut and a shave.I wouldnt go.

Overpriced and it felt like she was ripping my hair out and scalping me with how hard she pressed the clippers on my head. I had scars on the side of my neck after the haircut

If you need a proper beard trim, don’t go here, go to Flloyd’s 99 in Rockville. This place looks like a modern men’s grooming center, really it’s a regular hairdressers with nice barbers chairs. You will get a much better all round experience elsewhere. Shame as it’s closer to my home!

From the beautiful decorum to the outstanding customer service, Roosters is definitely the place to be if your looking for a fresh new cut! Im always a little nervous trying out a new hair salon but to my satisfaction my seasoned Stylist did a great job. Looking forward to my next visit.

I received the wrong haircut. I walked in with longer style hair and had to leave with a military style fade. Stylist would not listen to me at all, took way too much off. I repeated myself over and over but she seemed distracted. I have to go to a second barber now to fix the fade that she didnt even do correctly, nor did I ask for. The whole experience was very upsetting.

Theyre alright. They never pick up their phone though. Mr. Sydney is an awesome barber though.

My haircut was completely butchered and I was forced to go home and adjust it myself. I didnt say anything at the time because clearly she was not capable of doing what she claimed. I had a picture of exactly what I wanted done and lets just say this individual would not be good at the whats different about these images game. Also received the 7 step facial and my face has broken out. I was basically robbed of $90. Lesson learned.

I asked for a little off the top and off the back and I received a bowl cup. Even when I said “no cut” she took it upon herself to continue to shorten my hair and make it into the bowl cut it is today. I am very disappointed with my appointment and I most likely won’t go back.
