If your looking for a place that will do a walk in hair cut in Bellingham, this is the place! They have some skilled barbers/ stylists here! If there is a line the longest Ive waited is 10-20 minutes within the past couple months! The staff is pretty friendly and they actually have a conversation with you getting to know and making it personal. I used to go else where... but everywhere else is over booked.

Worth the expense, got my first after-covid cut here. Cleaned up after I had been buzzing my own head for a year and a half. Damn good cut and shave.

The barbers I’ve had and my son has had are so quick and nice. Definitely would recommend the Barber Shack for your children. They always make my son feel special.

If you are female and want a great short hair cut. This is the place. Ive always had short hair. Sometimes shorter then other times. Right its really short. My regular stylist left to focus on school. I found a great new one at first try. She used to work where my old one did. The cut was great. The wait was average and you pay your stylist right there. Overall. Wonderful!!!

I LOVE Barber Shack, they rock and have always done an amazing job, have amazing prices and do great work and hair art too if you want some lines put in there! Today my son got to go there and Beth did an Amazing job and was so detailed and made sure my son looked on point and on a Tuesday when the cut is only 12 dollars, but I of course tipped because she went above and beyond and gave my son a lightening bolt that he wanted and didnt even charge more! I love it here, they do clean lines and are great with kids! This is the place for me and my sons for sure and well never go to another place, Thank You Beth and Barber Shack! 💙 ✂️

Dropped my son to get his hair cut and they said about 30 minutes, one hour later he comes out without a hair cut and says they skipped him and started with others. He told them and they just said sorry and kept taking others that came in after him. And this is not the first time we’ve had poor service but it is the last time!

Made an appointment the previous day for my son. We came in and the guy came off snoody and passed it on to someone else. saying hes not supposed to have appointments today. First time here and I will not go back. The Other stylist did great but not coming back, especially after they tried to charge my son for an adult cut.

First, I wish I could give 2 reviews.One, is 5 stars for Nate. He cut my hair the first time I came here and it was great! I told him what I wanted, and he did it.The second one, zero stars for Jacob. The haircut was so terrible, I asked him to just buzz my head. My words fall short in expressing how upset I am about my experience with him. I asked him for a fade and clean up the top, that was it. I got neither. I paid for something that I could have done at home. More importantly, I had been growing my hair out for months, and now I am back to square one. It is quite irritating.

I have never had a bad haircut here. It is the only place I go in Bellingham. The owner Jared is delightful, and I like the decor and vibe of the whole shop.

Sometimes it takes a long time to get your hair cut but they do a really good job and the price is better than surrounding places

Really nice people but I had been growing my hair for a while to eventually pull a classic look. Told the barber to leave the sides and top long and just clean it up. Back to square one because he cut it really short but also used thinning shears, sideburns are uneven, bad edge up. Another barber told him he was doing a good job so Im confused as to their standard. Wont be going back.

Nice atmosphere, bright and cheery. Employees all wore masks (mostly) and were prompt to respond to walk ins. Prices were pretty cheap- if youre looking for a quick cut, this is probably as good a spot as any.Reviewing a barbershop is difficult because Im reviewing the encounter of one barber out of many cutting my hair. This is not entirely representative of the shop as a whole- things may be entirely different for you.However, as for me, I asked for one thing and got something completely different. The barber brought up Satanist musical groups three separate times without prompting while the barber next to us wouldnt stop talking about dog shows and covid procedures.I will be fixing the haircut on my own tonight. The good thing is that hair grows back. I will not be returning.

Got off work early for an appointment to go get my haircut before vacation. The barber I made my appointment with was not there and they could not schedule me for 45 minutes which was too late no one called nothing to tell me that the appointment had been canceled poor quality service.

Best time to go is $12 Tuesday. Ive had haircuts with varying degrees of skill. Some with bad nicks and uneven lengths, other times a more professional cut. Just all depends

Horrible haircut. The barber had to be called at home to be reminded of our appointment. Showed up 12 minutes late and then proceeded to give me the worst haircut ive ever had. Staff were more interested in talking to each other than their clients.

Art is the absolute best. My kiddo helped himself to some scissors at home and to straighten things up, we decided to take it to a professional. He was really nervous and hasnt wanted to go back to a barber since his last uncomfortable experience (different business). Art was great taming his tough cowlick, which is not an easy task! And most importantly, my son loves his new hair! Worth every penny and more. Well be back for sure.

I love going here for both myself and my son. We have walked out happy and feeling great every time! The relaxed atmosphere has really helped with my kiddo since he is still young. Jared has been able to nail every haircut my son has asked for/showed him for years and he always walks away saying “ mom look at my cool haircut”. We will continue to go here and highly recommend it to everyone we know!

I would like to share that I am so happy I found the Barber Shack 7 years ago when my husband and I moved from Seattle! He is very particular about his hair and had a hard time finding a barber he liked in Whatcom County. We started at the original, two chair location and have watched them succeed and grow. We love Jared and Mattie, very friendly, personable, and professional. Now, not only does my husband get his hair cuts here but our two young kids as well! I will always recommend the Barber Shack!

This place is awesome. I love the atmosphere of the place. I have had some of the best haircuts you can get in whatcom county from this place. I have also had one of the worst. But that is the way with things. Just ask for the right barber and you shouldnt have to worry. The price is one of the best in town as well. If the wait times were a little less I would rate a 5 star. Still, a great experience

Came back and waited over 45 min for a cut. They were disorganized with appointments and have no front desk staff.Used to be a 4 star review. To bad there no management.Great place for a cut. Make sure you skip the discount days if you want a perfect trim.

I have gone to this place before and it wasn’t bad, little long wait sometimes but that comes with any barber shop. I always liked my haircuts before today, I don’t remember the ladies name that cut my hair, but it wasn’t what I asked for at all, I brought a picture in for a style that my hair already leans towards, and it is not what I asked for, like honestly wow. I shouldn’t have paid but like da was in shock. I got a hair to go to a family members funeral, to look nice, and now I have to go like this. Don’t go here u less you k ow the barber really well, spend a little more for a better haircut from someone who knows what you want.

I absolutely love this place!! Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. They really care about the haircuts they do, and it shows! I have never been disappointed coming here! Since they re-opened, the wait has been a little crazy (because there are so many people dying to get their covid hair tamed!), but its well worth the wait! And they do their best to take everyone on the list by the end of the day, even if that means staying late to make sure everyone has been taken care of (not my experience with other businesses). I dont think theres a cheaper place to get my hair cut in town (especially on Tuesdays), but the cheap price in no way indicates the service you get - which is a very refreshing change from the norm. :)

Everybody here is really nice and seems to actually care about you from my limited experience so far. Their methods are also a slight bit different than the other places Ive been in a very good way. They seem to care to get repeat customers instead of just doing a cheap job and for that reason as well as just how darn nice they are I will be continuing to take the half hour drive to go there instead of just going the hair salon literally next door to me.

Great place to take the boys for their cuts. They really listen and are great conversationalists. My Nephew is two and he does well in this environment, with little to no fuss, which is a huge bonus. All of the barbers are just wonderful with him and its quite impressive.

I was pleased to be able to get a haircut, and the haircut was great! They were practicing Covid-19 safety a bit inconsistently, however.I would have preferred to have masks mandatory for clients (to protect their staff & other clients like me.The receptionist had a plexiglass shield (👍) but was all over the shop without a mask. 1* for that.Id go back but I couldnt recommend the Barbershack to people at risk until they improve their processes and consistency.

Called for an appointment and found out it was $10 Tuesdays so no appointment needed but it was on a walk in basis. I walked in sat down for less then 2 minutes then received a great haircut and a neck shave ALL for $10. GREAT PLACE TO GET A HAIRCUT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Hands down the best place to go although I highly recommend a few of the staff members one in particular Talon is my favorite!!! Always a sharp clean hair cut and shave!!! Met with professionalism and amazing skill.

This is a great barbershop. You pretty much get the full experience, including a straight edge shave, for $14. Hard to beat that. On Tuesdays they do a special and its a little bit cheaper, too, but also a lot busier - so plan ahead. Ive only got my hair cut by two people (Ive been there 5 or so times), and I definitely preferred one over the other, but both cuts were good.
