Gel manicure and spa pedicure. Make sure you have set aside some serious time to be there - because the staff is meticulous. I was there 1 1/2 hours in total. But my hands and feet look great and I look forward to coming back in a couple of weeks.

Dip nails chipped within a week of service, most places last up to 3-4weeks. The manager treated me like an idiot when the supposedly matching color was incorrect. I contacted my usual nail salon to ask if the “pastel”description is on the color I usually use and was informed that is different than the original polish. The manager of Zen told me it was OPI who’s inconsistent, but obviously that’s not true. I had an appointment at 2:30 and wasn’t even helped until 3:15pm. It’s a shame because this was my go to salon before moving from Dayton and it was EXTREMELY disappointing. Will not be returning when I’m in town.

I wish I knew about this place sooner. Setting up an appointment was very easy. My nail technician took her time to get everything right and listened to me as well. Will continue to visit this nails!!

Yesterday, I had a nail tech at here go so above and beyond that I had to write a review. My tech did such an amazing job of removing my gel set and applying shellac, that I still cant believe how good they look.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this spot is. The service was excellent. We arrived close to when they were closing. They didn’t rush us and were super accommodating. The massage with the pedicure was great and the quality of work being put in was top notch. It feels like a mom and pop salon and they appreciate the business.... not just another number. Highly recommend.

I go to them for my acrylics every 2 weeks and My tech is THE BEST!!! She knows how to make acrylics look and feel thin and natural--not chunky and awkward like other nail places.

Walked in and got a full set and a wonderful pedicure in an hour! Gel polish on both. It was not a full manicure (no soaking or cuticle work) but I was more concerned about time than that. They both look great and I am very happy with them. Was expensive but the results are what I was looking for in the time I spent there. I will be back.

I have been here before and it has been okay. They are always late. I figured that they are late when I go cause it’s usually on Saturday. Anyways, I had an appointment at 5 on a Wednesday for a manicure and for my husband and I to get pedicures. We waited for almost 30 minutes when we decided to leave. The most embarrassing part was that there were only 2 people working and 2 people getting their nails done. We left because who knows how long they would have us wait. No one even spoke to us. I will not be back. There are so many nice salons and this is not one of them!

I went to get a full set of nails for my best friends wedding. After waiting a while and being bounced between two nail techs i get what was supposed to be my black matte coffin shaped nails. In the salon they looked decent. When i got outside i noticed they are very streaky and bulky.. now i’m not even a week from greeting them done and they are bubbling😩 Im so disappointed that i wanted my money!! I came before when they first opened and they did great!! I’m terrified to go back and will have to find someone to redo my nails... $68 down the drain😢😢

My roommate and I got gel manicures done here and we loved our experience so much!! We were hesitant to go because their rating was low ish, but were so glad everywhere else was closed. The nail technicians were super nice and I love the way my manicure looks. I will be going to Zen Nail Retreat for all my future nail needs.

Rose gave us the A treatment! Three of us came in on a Friday night for manicures. Looked like a slow night and they were going to close up early. Instead of turning us away, she took us in and gave us amazing manicures. She took her time with us and we enjoyed talking with her. I have always had good treatment here but this definitely sets them apart.

I was there about 2 weeks ago. I liked the atmosphere but I didn’t like that fact that 2 different nail technicians worked on my nails. I let the 2nd one know that 4 of my nails aren’t smooth. She used the drill but barely touch the acrylic or sculpted the lumps down. She just kept digging into my nail bed which I mentioned. Then the other nail tech started painting. I got gel polish. I didn’t need 4 to 5 layers of paint on my nails. Not to mention she was a little rough. That was my first time in that salon and it was a Christmas gift to myself to be somewhat pampered & I didn’t enjoy it. I wouldn’t recommend & I don’t think I’ll be returning. I’ll get my fill-in from somewhere else. Hopefully someone else can fix them and give me the smooth finish and not so thick on the polish. Sorry.

I was excited for trying gel nails and really liked them while they lasted. Sadly, the gel layer on my thumb nail cracked and came off within a week without any known reason.

About a year or so ago I took my daughter to this place and we had the best pedicures. They were thorough and soo good. A little pricey but it was soo worth it. I decided to go there the other day for a pedicure and I have to say, it was probably one of the worst pedicures I have ever had. I asked for the relaxation pedicure and it was everything but relaxing. I was soo rushed through. My nails were not shaped after being trimmed, they barely filed my feet to remove callouses or dead skin. I was supposed to have a mask put on after the exfoliating and they put a lotion on and wrapped my legs up. Then when it came time for the massage, well I might as well rubbed my own legs. There was NO ONE in there. You would have thought they would have taken the time and done a great job to get business to return. Not this place. Also this place was a mess. Not very clean, cluttered, blinds ripped, windows and doors dirty especially during the Covid times you would think places like this would be spic and span!

Absolutely horrible . My friend and I recently went and the lady who did my friends nails stopped in the middle of applying them to attend another client and proceeded to start another project and never came back . The lady who did mine said she could do marble and they came out horrible . Nothing like the picture . - you know it’s bad if i made an account to review .

Update:I made an appointment for 6 pm for a pedicure and it didnt start til 6:35. The massage portion was very excellently executed, my legs still feel wonderful. But within an hour of leaving the appointment my nails were ruined. My guess is piling on too many coats before the previous could dry. It looks terrible and is definitely not an easy fix. I got the highest teir of pedicure and am not happy I cant even wear it out once.I walked in on a Sunday and only waited about ten minutes. Thought it was reasonably priced for a pedicure and loved the massage chair. My foot massage was amazing. Will be returning.

My experience with Zen was nothing short of wonderful! My friend and I had the pleasure of working with Rose and she was such a delight. They were kind enough to stay late and get us taken care of. Highly recommend!

Two hours for two pedicures! We made appointments hours in advanced. When we arrived we were not acknowledged for 15 minutes after walking in the door. As the pedicure began it was fine, until the nail tech forgot the wax moisturizer after she polished my toes. After the wax came off, she removed the polish and went over to the polish rack and chose 3 other shades of pink polish and told me to pick the one I liked. At the beginning of the pedicure I handed her the polish I wanted. After she offered the different shades, I told her that I wanted the one I originally gave her. She then sat down and chose whatever shade she thought best. After all was said and done, it was the worst polish job I’ve ever had. At this point, we were already there for 1hr 45mins so the last thing I wanted to do was wait longer to have them painted for a 3rd time. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience and I will not be back.

I went in asking for St. Patrick’s Day nails I found on Pinterest. They did better than what I found. Green with gold glitter. Tech was fast, and did a phenomenal job. I love my Holiday nails. Thanks so much!!

Walked in and they took care of me right away. Worked with Helen and she did a WONDERFUL job. Gel manicure was great. A little pricey, but I have no complaints about the service I received. Is a relaxing environment as well.

This was my second visit to this shop and I am happy to share both experiences were great! Joe took care of me the first time and Rose the second. Again both technicians were friendly, efficient and experts in their care. I will DEFINITELY BE back!

I use ZEN for lash extensions. They take great care to make sure they are done properly and look great. They last for weeks! The salon is always clean and relaxing. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend them.

The salon is VERY clean. Each time Ive been here, they were attentive and friendly. They take their time and pay attention to details. I think they might be a bit pricey compared to nearby salons, but for the quality job and personal attention, its totally worth it.

I was expecting an amazing experience because of how highly talked about this salon was. My best friend and I went to the salon at around 8 pm as a last minute spa trip. Immediately, we are stopped by a lock door when the salon closes at 9pm. A man came and opened the door a crack and asked what we were getting. We explained that we wanted a Fill in with gel for my friend and then a full set for me. He leaves and comes back to open the door. The gel colors were in disarray and laid around in random areas. It was difficult to tell the dip from the gel because of the mixture and no one told us where the gels were. Finally after sitting in the waiting area with our colors picked out for 30 minutes (a few workers that were busy were there) we were finally taken to a seat by an older woman. I was going to get my full set first. I asked for a slightly tapered square shape and was told it would be $10 extra because I was unable to get the shape with a shorter nail. This had never been an issue at other salons I’ve been to. I asked for the longest length possible before i would be charged extra. I kid you not, my nails were barely off my finger. Extremely short. I asked why they had to be so short and the woman said, “because longer than this is more work for me.” She also had the drill bit way too high and burned my nail 3 times. I was clearly in pain as I said Ow loudly because of how painful it was and my tech didn’t even bother to apologize. By now, my friend and I had been here for more than an hour. I explained that i didn’t want to proceed with my nails because of how far from what I wanted they were. The tech gave me attitude saying “you told me the length was okay when I cut. Too late now.” I said that I was sure that I didn’t want to proceed. Roughly, the tech picked my hand up and started cutting the tips off. She had the two blades on my skin on the tip of my thumb about to cut the tip skin of my thumb off. No exaggeration there. the top blade piece was on the tip and the other was on the tip of my finger. She began to squeeze and I exclaimed “thats my skin please do not cut me” and she stopped. She glared at me and was about to continue but at this point I told her I would remove the tips myself. Next, my friend got her fill ins. They turned out very nice but the time it took was over the time I would expect for a full set from scratch. My friend was also hurt by the drill bit. Her gel fill ins were $37 which is a lot more than I am used to. Very very disappointed with the rude, disrespectful, and rough treatment my friend and I were given. Please, spare your money and go somewhere that is worth that price.

Not good at all.. very rude people. my was $45 dollars and I should have got change back but I didnt . I do not recommend this play to anyone . all I gotta say is.. this place better be outta the Greene soon or I will never step foot on the Greene property again . very ruff with my hands to the point my nail beds are bleeding. never again

I wasted my second trip to Zen and will never return. Both times I have attempted to give them my business, I walked into the spa and am ignored. I signed in and waited 20 minutes and there was no sign of anyone available for my appointment and no one to even acknowledge that I had walked in. I walked out and went to Venetian where I was promptly greeted and sat down for my pedicure. I dont anticipate this place will be in business for long. There were 2 ladies ahead of me who also had appointments and were waiting even longer than I had. Save your time and go somewhere else!

Very rude and poor customer service. My sister was home from the military after over a year over seas, so three of us made an appointment for a mani/pedi (we were going to spend $300+). We called ahead and made it a point to say that we wanted to sit together. We get there and they wouldn’t allow us to. They aggressively tried to force us into chairs where we would be sitting apart and receiving different services. When we persisted, they rudely walked away and went and put two other people in front of us. We revolved our entire day around this. As a local, I will never ever be going back and I will absolutely be telling everyone I know about this *terrible* experience.

Went here for the first time in a while and got dip on my nails. The guy doing my nails was very rough filing my nails down that he cut me. Other than that good quality on my nails.

A calm & relaxing atmosphere....... until my friend was told He doesnt want to do your nails, yet happily proceeded to service the caucasian customers. Talk about ruining a perfectly beautiful GirlDay Sunday. My suggestion, patron a different establishment!!

Easily the best nail salon in dayton. I had acrylic tips put on and wore them for 6 weeks without a chip or crack or even loosening. They didnt charge me to fix a nail i messed up and its a beautiful, clean salon.

Absolute WORST experience. i had heard such good things that i’ve been here many times but every time they make my hands bleed, they take forever to finish my nails no matter how many workers are there not doing anything. they often leave u in the middle to talk to other workers or make phone calls. they are also rude. i have had times where it took me almost 3 hours to finish my nails here. i will never recommend this experience to ANYONE. i wish i could give it zero stars.

Felt like I was a bother because they were busy. Nicked half of my cuticles to the point of bleeding. Didnt bother to take off all of the dry skin on the bottom of my feet, just one quick swipe. It goes without saying that I will not be back. The rudeness alone is enough to make me not recommend this place.

Made an apt at 10:30. Waited for several minutes with no greeting at all. A tech walked to front desk and completely ignored me. Sat me in chair while they finished up other clients...why were all the nail techs busy? Questioning why I made an apt? Wont be back. Needless to say, I was late to the party.

I have been here before with better service. I walked in on Saturday at 12:30, they were busy. Someone said hello and I signed in, 2 other people were in front if me, no one came to give an idea of time but I waited. At 12 :50 a lady started going through the list and getting g names. A lady walked in at 12:55 and said she had to be somewhere else by 2:00. They took her ahead of those of us waiting, I was then shown to a chair for pedicure, the other two people were given chairs for manicures. It is 1:10 and we are still waiting while the other lady is in the midst of her pedicure. My water was too hot, a tablet not put in until 15 minutes later nor is the water circulating. Take people in the order they came in!! Several people have gone out and it seems like the techs are taking a break!

I had my pedicure and manicure here the pedicure was rushed and the manicure was more than rushed my gel polish is only 1 day old and already off. I used to absolutely love coming here but I will not return.

I got a gel manicure and the lady that did my nails has disfigured my pointer finger for the rest of my life. When she was shaving the nail plate (pink part) down she shaved to much off and created a crack far down the plate. Now the white part starts growing from and crack and I have more white nail than pink. Do NOT go!! The shape of my nails afterwards looked horrible also, and I had to reshape them myself when I got home. She also cut my skin twice while trimming my cuticles. What an absolute joke.

DO NOT GO HERE. My friend and I went in for service, we were very briefly acknowledged and told to sit with nothing else said. We waited for 30-40 minutes and then when we were about to leave we were finally told to have a seat in the pedicure chair. I got a pedicure and asked for a fill. When it came time for my fill it was clear that he didnt want to take the time to do it and instead suggested he just paint my nails. Im from out of town so I supposed this was good enough to hold me over and would save me some money. He filed off my gel and then pointed out that now they were lifting (Duh! Gee thanks.) and then painted them. When I went to pay my total was $90!!! He charged me $18 to take off my polish and $28 to PAINT MY NAILS. Not once did he disclose the price, tell me the upcharge, or show me a menu with pricing (and there werent any prices out to see anywhere in the shop). ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Not even two days later and my nails are completely lifting since he filed them down so much. SMH. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

While they do a good job on nails, do not expect this to be a quick experience. My friend and I made appointments, and waited 40 mins before deciding to reschedule for the next day because we couldn’t wait any longer. When we arrived the next day for our appointment, there were already 4 people in chairs (with only 2 nail techs). We waited another 30 minutes. When we were finally sat in chairs, we waited 15 minutes before they started my friends nails. I figured that I would be next (as I was already seated, and they had retrieved the shellac colors we chose) but the other nail tech decided to take a walk-in pedicure and left me waiting instead(I have already been waiting an hour at this point). Absolutely terrible customer service. You’re clearly treated better as a walk-in.

A totally relaxing atmosphere and one of the most comprehensive and amazing pedicures Ive ever had. Ive been here a few times and each tech thats worked on my gel nails or pedis have been friendly and wonderful.

Called yesterday to inquire about nail services. I was looking online while speaking with person at Zen. I made an appointment for 12:30 the next day. Told woman it was my daughters bday. Next day show up at 12 :30 And had to wait 45 minutes after I asked on the phone if we would. When I asked about it got and excuse of not many work there that can do dipped nails. Wrong answer. I asked about price and was told 42...online it said 40 they said it was a misprint a nd needs to be changed . I asked about length of nail for dipping and was told additional 5...no problem. 3hrs later I was told it would be $60plus tax!!! Was told the shaping of nail made it go up as well as adding a tip.Even tho the nails look pretty will never go back. Bad customer service from beginning to end.

I rarely write reviews especially if I have only been somewhere once or twice... I want to be sure my review is able to provide accurate information not simply to tell of one good or bad experience. That being said I have been going here for over 8 months now and I am rough on my nails. It is not uncommon for me to pick off or chip arrylic/gel nails within days. Joe does my nails and they still look great after 3 weeks. Unbelievable. I must be honest though you can not come here if you are in a hurry. I go on the weekend and usually make an appt but try to be sure I always have plenty of time to spare because I expect for them to be running behind. They do not let nail techs sit around and wait for appts. They are always working and busy so you may have to wait for them to finish up with someone after you arrive. I am willing to deal with this though since the quality is great and the people are friendly.

Went before my wedding with my MOH. Her experience was great, the lady was friendly (older lady). My tech was young and had a nasty attitude. No eye contact. Bossy. Literally digged her fingernail into each of my fingers as she was giving me my manicure. This lasted the entire time. I had been planning to take my MOH to dinner afterwards and almost cancelled with her because I was exhausted from the 2+ hour experience (also had a pedi) and felt I couldnt even shake off the VERY BAD AGRESSIVE VIBE she was giving off. We did go to dinner but it took a glass of wine to get the experience out of my system. She muttered to herself most of the time, as if she was shaming me. (She wanted me to continue soaking my nails in a dish of pure acetone while having my pedi and it freaked me out to have my skin absorb so many chemicals for so long. So occasionally, I would take my fingers out) When using the grinding/sanding drill, I had to pull my hands away because of the pain at times. I said Ow that hurts and she literally challenged me as if she didnt believe me! It was a nightmare. I also asked for a French mani and she challenged me as if she didnt WANT to do a French mani. I asked her if its OK to ask for one??? She continued to try to persuade me to pick a color instead. A disaster and I am not a high maintenance person. When checking me out, again, no eye contact, very bizzare. I will not be back. EVER

Clean and nice, but didnt do a complete coverage on my full set, as the sides of my nails went without paint. Other than that, nice experience and good customer service!

I waited for over an hour for a manicure, after I tried to call and make an appointment but no one answered or returned my calls. When I picked my colors, I was told the colors I picked werentw gel and asked what I wanted without offering me any other options. When I chose, the manicurist worked on my cuticles so hard that 4 of my fingers were bleeding and got into the polish. Now, 2 weeks later, my gel manicure has already chipped on multiple fingers because there was no top coat added. Will not be going back.

I received the $45 relaxation pedicure. It was nice, but definitely not worth that much. Then, when I looked the next day at my feet, not only did I still have calous spots, but my French manacure was already chipping. I called and the lady told me that I would have to go a few times to get rid of all my calouss. My feet were not that bad to begin with. I wont ever go back.

I called told me there was no wait and then when I got there I had to wait 20-35 minutes . I just bought a cute color nail polish at meijer and she tried to accuse me of stealing it from her salon . Then told me to be careful cause she would catch me .

My $133 Gel Mani and pedi chipped after two days. They were very nice, but two days is absolutely rediculous for such an expensive Mani and pedi, especially when I paid the extra $15 dollars for a gel manicure that chipped after two days. Im extremely dissapointed and absolutely will not be returning.

It was very uncomfortable. They did not talk to me, and when they did they had like an attitude. I got a pedicure and a full set put on. getting my full set. the lady kept yanking my fingers in directions that they just couldnt do, im double jointed, but even I have limits. When I showed discomfort, I got the impression she didnt care. Ive been getting my nails done for years and I have never had one break. By the look of my nails i could tell they werent put on very well. I honestly will not be going back to this nail salon unless I have no other option. .
