Daryl and the boys? What can I say? I can talk FOREVER about how great they all are. Daryl is to be commended, because in a world of high price car repairs, he will ALWAYS go out of his way to make sure that you know EXACTLY what is going on with your vehicle, exactly what to expect as an outcome with repairs, he doesnt pillage on price, which is a hard to find commodity these days. ESPECIALLY in the car world. They have all worked on a few of our vehicles and when they are done, we know that they did it correctly because those issues never come up again. This speaks volumes to how thorough they are. They are always busy, which also speaks to how good they are. People go to who they trust.I wish I could say the same about the Supreme services I got on my Corvette from a particular Chevrolet dealership in Gonzales that tried 3 times on a few particular fixes to get it right. Only to find out later that suddenly something else they didnt even see, all of the sudden, was not working, after those repairs?!?Daryls guys looked her over, made her right explained to me all along the processes what had been broken, and fixed all of their mistakes. Never knowing that I had previously taken it to a dealer, he fixed all issues, and they havent come back since. (Over 2 years)He and his group of vehicle super heroes will forever be our family mechanics. Theyve earned that!Note: I dont write reviews, but I feel in Daryls case, honesty and integrity made this one well warranted.

Talked with Daryl about repairing an old car and he gave me straight advice on what likely issues would be an a reasonable back park estimate. He didnt try to sell me on the idea, but gave me valuable insights into what the outrigger could entail to make a good decision.Will be taking next steps of an actual inspection (and paying fairly for that time & expertise) after the holidays.I will know more then, but will be confident that it will be a good and informed decision.

This place is so friendly and the receptionist really tries to get to know each person well. She is kind and they have a family atmosphere there. When I called Daryl was upfront with the price and honest about how much work it would take. He met with me to explain after what work he did. This place is great, as a college student and woman, I am often afraid to go to a car shops of them taking advantage of my lack of knowledge, this place was the opposite of that!

My wife and I were traveling through Baton Rouge, and our car started to have an issue with the clutch. I was able to get the car to Daryls automotive about 10 minutes before they closed. Daryl diagnosed the issue and got it resolved in a few minutes, so we could continue our drive back to Alabama. We were so grateful that he took a few minutes to help us out, so we didnt have to stay overnight while the car was repaired. I wish I lived closer to Daryls Automotive, so I could take our vehicles any time repairs were needed. Daryl was very professional, knowledgeable, and amazing to work with!

The only part he could get, that met his quality standards, ( in the timeframe we needed it ) was expensive, but his labor cost was reasonable. Highly recommend Daryl Automotive.

They are truly good but they just kept my vehicle too long total of seven days

I called in asking for help with an RV (class A). Unfortunately the shop in not setup to lift such a heavy vehicle, BUT Daryl took the time to give me common problems that my RV could be hace and give recommendations for fixes and other mechanics in town who could help.Based on his kindness, 100% would recommend.

Best customer service and work in town. Ronnie and Daryl both go out of their way to do right by customers. Very kind, worth every dollar even if it’s more ‘expensive’ than the competition, it will last longer and you are truly getting the best value in town.

I am so glad I listened to the other reviews. I was having issues with my windshield wipers, and the owner came outside immediately to assess the situation. They had my vehicle fixed in under an hour, allowing me to cancel my rental and make it to work at a reasonable time. I will definitely be following up for PM in the future.

On Friday, July 12 (hurricane Barry day) l, My teen daughter and I were traveling home from Florida to Texas when my Volvo started having problems near Baton Rouge. After calling several garages, including the Volvo dealer, I was referred to Daryl’s. Even though he was busy and the storm was looming, he agreed to let me bring my car in after I explained my dilemma. He diagnosed and repaired my car within 2 hours so I could get back on the road ahead of the storm. I am extremely grateful and absolutely recommend Daryl’s to anyone needing auto service!!

Daryl was super friendly over the phone and explained to me that the small electrical issue I was having was nothing more than dust burning off and there was no need to take it in to be seen. This is the kind of mentality that I wish more places had, had it been another shop I would have been told to take it in and be charged a ton of money for literally nothing. Super great people and I will recommend them in the future!

The best experience I ever had with a car repair facility was at Daryls. I had to take my car in for a minor follow-up repair on bigger repair from a few months ago, and the guys took good care of me once again. I could look them in the eyes and tell that they were being honest with me and that they did everything possible to ensure the car was working as it should.They got the repair turned around in a day, when much of the city had been shut down due to the snow. Another reason why they are my go-to place for car issues.

These guys are great. We have a late model Yukon that needed a bit of work. They did what was needed and let us decide whether to get the other work done. Had a warranty issue with a part they replaced and they stood behind their work! A rare find!

Daryls was very professional and courteous, Their prices are a good value also. The vehicle they fixed had been to a another shop and when they could not fix it they referred me to Daryls. Daryl went above and beyond to make sure the work needed was done right the first time.

Truly excellent service. When I brought my car in for odd noises from its rear end, they did a thorough inspection, explained very clearly what was wrong, what options there were for dealing with it, and why they recommended a particular procedure. They did all that without even a teensy bit of condescension, unlike the way many mechanics deal with women. Then they did the work, exactly what was needed, even more quickly than was promised, and for a very fair price.

I have had my Volvo, Ford f150, and Toyota Camry repaired at Daryls Automotive. Daryl is honest, friendly and patient with his customers. I have never had poor or mediocre service.

We trust Daryls for nearly all of our auto care. The *only* knock against them is that they are not super-quick, but its just because so many people trust them with their vehicles...like another poster had said, theres a reason the lot is full of vehicles. Nice problem to have for an auto repair facility!

Best service, great facility, incredible hospitality, and friendly mechanics. I received a 2000 Camry with only 136K miles on it from my grandmother as a first license gift. She has been the only owner, and Daryl has taken care of Christine (I named the car Christine because it has alarm issues, aka a personality, and the book Christine by Steven King inspired the name. My Christine hasnt driven off and killed anyone though) since day 1, and I continue to do the same.I had an unfortunate issue where my heater and coolant hoses cracked (due to age) and all my coolant wound up on the highway. Daryls team took great care of the car, and for a very reasonable price, given how much work was done. All the hoses were replaced, rear struts (age related wear, they were leaking oil), several engine mounts, and a free thermostat since the car did overheat briefly (no coolant, who would have known it would would overheat, lol)Now nobody is perfect. Daryl had mentioned my alternator bearings were beginning to sound bad, but he made it sound like it was a wait until it breaks issue. No big deal, right? That little booger was the ORIGINAL alternator! I know its not uncommon for them to last forever, but I was still impressed. Anyways, upon discovery, not only was it going bad, it was going down the short out and burn the engine road. I discovered that the connections were literally burned black and the alternator was too hot to touch. It very well may have caught on fire on my way home, and totaled the car. Daryl waived the labor fee on the new alternator, because he owned up and said he should have been more urgent on something like that. He hadnt noticed that, and honestly, Im surprised I caught it. You would have had to put your hand near it to feel the crazy amount of heat coming off it. It was RIDICULOUS.Thats the kind of gentleman he is. Not afraid to own up to his mistakes. Hes also the man who gave me tips on engine maintenance and care, and inspired me to become a gear head. He didnt take advantage of a 16 year old kid who didnt know the first thing about cars. Instead, he TAUGHT me about them! He involved me in the repair, and brought me under the hood to show exactly what he had repaired, and how to keep the car happy in the future.I owe a lot to Daryl and his team, and I will continue to bring Christine here until her wheels fall off. Im only at 144K, so not even halfway there, lol. Dont you just LOVE Camrys? Too bad even he cant figure out why my car talks to me. (Late 90s models are known for their alarm issues, and we cant figure out what in the world is wrong with mine. But I dont mind)
