Absolute worst experience I’ve had at a nail salon. I just wanted to get some color on my nails. It took the guy an hour and 40 minutes to put a dip powder on… he clearly didn’t care about what he was doing and I question if he even knew how to do it in the first place. Part of the reason It took him so long was because he was yelling and talking with his hands to his colleagues while I sat there letting him ruin my nails. He didn’t pay any attention to what he was doing and it looks like a 6 year old kid painted them. Lol. It’s my fault for not complaining as soon as I caught on to what was happening. Tried to get it fixed by another employee, but it was clear I was going to be there another 40 min or so. They still charged me 35 dollars to walk out of there with a really bad job that I’ll have to pay to get fixed at another salon. My mistake for taking a chance on this garbage place.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEYThis place is just unprofessional not only did I have to go back TWICE to have them correct their mistakes but each time it wasn’t better. Bubbles in the polish, sloppy lines, horrible shapping. My gel manicure & pedicure that I paid $100 for ! Didn’t even last 3 days! TRASH SERVICE, techs were sloppy and unprofessional, no customer first kind of service. Very dissatisfied. Never had such disappointing work.
The only nail salon I go to. Tyler is hilarious and a sweetheart. So is his wife. I dont really have an issue with anybody else but the one older lady that does eyebrows completely waxed the corner of my brow off. I had to wait a month for it to grow back. Once it did i came back. I told her and she literally ignored me and waxed my brows again DOING THE SAME THING. So I will never get my eyebrows done here again. I only let Tyler or Jen do my dip nails and pedicures and they do a really good job. Some of the other guys do my pedicures as well sometimes if it’s busy and they do ok.
They were prejudiced, rude, nasty, and unprofessional. They did not acknowledged me when I walked in but asked the Caucasian ladies, “how can I help you.” They sat me at the pedicure bowl without water while they sat up the Caucasian but never put water in my bowl. When I asked to be setup, they said, Wait!” I left!
I love the service they gave me she done a wonderful job all though a little late but they were sorry but they were really nice .
Havent felt so welcome in a very long time. Me and my mom were very satisfied. Its our official new nail shop. This is my 4th visit and her 1st visit. Thank you guys
Would not recommend this salon to anyone - by far my worst nail experience in the area. I called and made an appointment on 12/6 for a dip manicure after reading several mixed reviews online, but thought why not. Well I was I hadnt. I left my appointment with not only a color much lighter than the one I selected but also uneven polish in several places. Note: these pictures were taken directly after my appointment. The employe doing my nails also never spoke to me except to tell me to wash my hands at the very end. For example, I had to ask her to cut my nails shorter when I realized she wasnt going to.
Bad customer service 😑 😒
Absolutely love these people!! They are always so kind and professional. I’ve been going to Tyler for a few weeks now and he does a fantastic job! Close attention to detail and finishes my acrylics relatively quickly. Michelle has also done my nails and she is so sweet and very fast as well. During busy hours, I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes. I highly recommend coming right after work during the week or early on a Sunday if you’re a walk in!
I went to get a pedicure and the person who serviced me was not wearing a mask at all. You think that people would understand that they had to wear a mask. I am so disappointed.
They cleaned and sanitized everything from start to finish. Down to the individual portions of the products for each customer. He even wiped my flip flops down before putting them on my feet.
Appt only and Jenny is professional and thorough.
First time here, recommended by a friend. It is bright and clean inside. All chairs look and feel new. Lots of color options including gel and powder. Friendly staff, very happy with my pedicure!
I had never been to this nail salon and ducked in to it in between my daughter’s soccer games on a Sunday morning. I got there when it opened and they took me right away for a pedicure. The pedicure was excellent, not rushed even as the salon filled with people, and it was affordable. I would highly recommend this salon.
Queens is my favorite nail place in the world. I have been going here with my sisters and my mom since i was 6 years old. We seem like such regular customers the hard workers recognize us and greet us and are very kind. Whenever someone in my family wants to get our nails done “Queens Nails?!” is the first thing that comes out of our mouths. I would without a doubt go there.
Even though it is newly renovated and very clean. The just couldnt take care of my broke nail issue. Had to go back 2 twice and still today Im having an issue with the nail. Will stick with my own salon Cindys..
Open Sundays and a good amount of staff on hand. Really clean place and I had no wait. I was greeted when I walked in.The guy that did my pedicure was professional. I ordered a #2 and paid $35 for a pedicire with the callous remover, salt scrilub, massage, and hot towels, with what smelled like peppermint. Being 31 weks pregnant, this felt amazing and allowed me to relax. Just enough pressure, but not too much. Ill definitely be back!
The team has always been attentive and thorough. Lovely job with the acrylic application.
Great experience . Clean and felt comfortable
Great personal attention and customer service. Excellent manicure and pedicure.
I will never return to this place they made my 9 year old cry and she always goes with me to get our toes done. This was our first time and last.... they had to redo my feet 3 different times... i spent 98 dollars.Never again. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE.
I wanted to try a different place in the area and i heard great things about this place. I asked to get a fill in for my acrylics and the woman proceeds to rip them off because “I need a new set.” She takes off the 3 broken ones and on the first one, she takes a tip, and shoves it under my acrylic to get it to pop off. Well it wasn’t popping off and rips my real nail off with it as well. My fingernail is profusely bleeding and she says “oh oops.”Usually a fill in takes 45 mins, give or take, this woman was talking with her friend and filing my nails for a half hour. One hand had longer nails than the other, and it was significantly shorter. I had to go home and file my nails down myself because they were that noticeable. She then proceeds to take the electric nail drill, with the pointy tip, and go under my tips, and get rid of the little piece of skin that connects your nail to your finger, right at the top of the finger. Talk about a ton of pain; that area was sore for 3 days after.I get gel since it lasts longer, and the polish basically bakes onto the nail. Well she got it all over my cuticles, and it baked onto my skin, which is extremely painful, and underneath my nail, leaving me to pull baked on gel off of my skin for the following week.WILL NEVER BE GOING THERE EVER AGAIN!
Got a manicure and pedicure there several times. There is hardly ever any wait. Ann was great and so was Danny. Its convenient and reasonable. I did gel manicure + regular pedicure + callous removal for $60. Note that tips are cash only, no checks or credit card.
You walk in and it takes about 5 mins for someone to greet you unless you’re not a minority. I asked how long the wait would be for one nail fixture & one lady proceeded to tell me 40 mins. There was no one ahead of me. I knew she was lying because they wouldn’t make much money off of my service. Places that only care about money and not customer service will never get my business.
I would not even give them a one star. I went there because my usually nail salon was too busy. I wish I hadnt, awful and poor customer service, felt as if they were trying to rush to get as many customers in instead of delivering good results. Its fine, I wont be going back there anyways.
Lady who did my nails had God speed, but not enough SKILL to file my nails into a “coffin” shape, without cutting into my finger beds with the nail file! Rather than asking her to fix it & hurt me more in return, I left with more-so almond shaped nails with flat tips. Couldn’t even get the shape down bc she was rushing.
Awesome service. Service was fast and professional. Will visit again.
Rushed and no one listens to you. Technicians dont speak to you and will not hold a conversation. Insanely high prices, $35 for acrylics and $25 for a fill-in + $7 extra for a color change. Ive been here 4 times and Ive never left feeling good about the experience. The last time I was there I asked for acrylics and the guy began doing a gel manicure, when I told him thats not what I wanted he told me Id have to pay for both. Nope! I recommend Cali Nails in Parkville for sure.
The manicured was okay. I asked for glitter and the person had no idea what I was talking about even though I described it. Had I got Glitter point two fingers it was an extra charge and glitter is just nail polish.. The Stylist that I had and the one next to her were quite offensive . Because they assumed I could not understand them, they laughed at me, talked about me, and every time I asked about or said something, they talked about my comment and made crude remarks between themselves. I called them out and told them that I understood some Chinese and knew they were talking about me and insisted that they stop. Of course the woman got an attitude and the manicure was not of equality that it had been before. I do not plan to return.
I am African American and when I walked in I was ignored by the staff. When a Caucasian customer came in after me she was attended to immediately. I bushed it off and asked a male staffer if I could see the gel wheel. He acted like he did not want to serve me. He was extremely rude. Will never return.
Have been going for over 10 years. Good service and professionalism. They do an excellent job
My pre-teen daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Queens. I had to combat these negative reviews. My nails are beautiful and the shop was above-average friendly and helpful. I am definitely going back.
Pedicures are usually great. I went yesterday and the lady talked to a coworker the entire time she did my pedicure. It wasnt comfortable. After, I decided to get my nails done for the first time. They look worse than when I arrived. Horrible job. I am finding a new place altogether.
Went there when they first opened because my usual salon was closed & since they stayed open a little later I gave it a try. Would not recommend to anyone, was very disappointed with my nails. None of my nails were the same size, hardly had any shape & the person doing them appplied so much polish that they looked bubbly. One of the reasons I usually stick to one nail salon.
Horrible. Acrylic sitting on top of my cuticle and a very poor shaping job. I have to go to someone else to correct!
Ann is the best!!!!
Best nail shop Ive been to.....
Very nice n clean....extremely friendly
I would never recommend this company to anyone. Theyre up there hurt her hand they dont listen to you. These people should be put out of business they do not know what customer service means.
I got a pedi. I loved it try it.
I wasnt made to feel welcome at this place. Its like they were afraid to service an African African Male
Probably the worst nail salon experience Ive ever had. The women chatted loudly in Vietnamese the entire mani/pedi- even stopping to polish or file my nails to emphasize a point. I know it is usual practice for the techs to chat however it was to the point where it wasnt relaxing and interrupted my services.I had a gel manicure.... It dried as if the top coat was shrink wrapped. When I said something they said they would fix my 2 thumbs since they were the worst. When I objected and said they were all bubbled more techs came over and agreed that they were fine! The woman proceeded to put 2 more coats on top of the already bubbled nails. I didnt have time to argue with her and while they did look better it was completely annoying that they tried to tell me they looked beautiful- Cmon man. Dont waste your time or money. My pedicure is chipping a week later and my gel nails look like my 2 year old did them. I wish I could post a photo....
Always very nice.
Nail salon, does a great job!
Its reasonably priced, and they always do a great job! Its my favorite spot in Towson.
They ripped off my nails and it was clearly painful yet she continued, my nails are completely destroyed and she cut them down to the nub. It will take months to grow back!!
BEWARE! I had been a regular, loyal customer of Queens Nails III nail salon located at 6368 York Road in Baltimore, Maryland since it opened in 2002. On June 22, 2010, I went into the shop for a manicure/pedicure before going on vacation and was waited on by someone new to me. After the pedicure, she led me to her station and began the manicure. I did not see her place the instruments in any Barbicide disinfectant. During the manicure, she began digging deep into my cuticle with a very sharp, pointed instrument which caused a sharp pain to my right middle finger. While on vacation, in addition to the pain, there was an eerie, tingling feeling in my right middle finger. It began to swell and became larger each day. When I returned from vacation, I made an appointment with my doctor’s office and was seen on July 1, 2010. They stated I had an “infection from a bad manicure” and cut the side of my finger in an attempt to relieve the pressure, swelling and pain. This was very painful and it ultimately did not help. Eventually, I had to return to see my doctor. The next day, I went to speak with the owner, Frank/Tran. He was not in and one of the other manicurists asked “How was my finger?” She was there and saw the woman who performed my manicure by “digging too deeply” and said she “always digs too deeply”.On July 8, 2010, I went again to see my doctor who gave me an injection in the infected area. Because the area was already swollen and tender, this was very painful. My finger was re-bandaged. I had to be placed on leave from work for seven (7) days and was limited or unable to perform daily activities (bathing, grooming, cleaning, cooking; washing dishes, laundry and my car; vacuuming, typing, writing, texting, etc.). I have a permanent mark where the initial incision was made by my doctor. My right middle finger is still larger than my left middle finger. I also still have sharp pain throughout the day that gets worse as the weather gets colder. On July 10, 2010, I returned to Queens Nails III. Another long time customer, Betty T. was standing outside waiting for someone, very upset. She said to me in a very angry tone, “You don’t want to give him any of your money.” Frank/Tran had put someone ahead of her and when she tried to talk to him, he was very nasty.I then went into the salon and reminded the owner Frank/Tran what happened to my finger and asked him for his insurance information. He ignored me at first and then said, “Wait, it will take a while to look for it.” I stepped outside and came back. He then said, “Im busy right now. You have to wait.” He was very hostile so I then stepped back outside. Eventually, I went back inside. Another customer asked to see my finger and I showed her. Frank/Tran abruptly stopped what he was doing, slammed down his instrument, pointed his finger and said, “I’m not going to give you insurance information right now. ” I left.I later learned that Queens Nails, III, who is insured by State Farm Insurance, was sued by another customer in 2010 for causing scarring and injury to her eyelid because the wax was too hot during an eyebrow waxing. State Farm settled for over $20,000.00. In my case, State Farm said that my injury was due to “carpel tunnel” from 1996 which simply was not true and they refuse to pay. Once in 2005, the owner’s wife stopped a pedicure to wax my eyebrows and became agitated when I asked her to wash her hands first. I do not recommend anyone go to Queens Nails III for any service.
