After a month of emails, and a rather appalling customer service experience for a new customer, Ill leave the pictures of the state of my unit (to which Im moving in today, and was supposed to be serviced before my arrival) do the talking about this place. Judge yourselves, its too late for me since I already signed the lease, but you can save yourselves.Oh yeah, forgot to mention the stove and dish washer were being installed at 1:30pm even though they have known about me moving in for over 2 months.
From day one Keith and Dian have been very helpful and on the point. Every phone call and email they have been very consistent. Over this course of only a short amount of time Keith goes ABOVE and BEYOND. His customer service is above this planet. He always got right back with me with anything I asked. He’s a very sweet gentleman and if I could give him more then 5 stars I would. My children and I are super BLESSED. THANK YOU AGAIN KEITH
Listen when looking for a new place to live can be very stressful but when I met Keith Watkins, let me tell you he was very attentive and responsive to what I’m looking for. Good Afternoon, I know it’s been a while but I must say I am still in WOW SHOCKER MODE! KEITH WATKINS help me choose the BEST place to live (JAMESTOWN ) I must add. I been looking for a townhome for the longest but I got so frustrated and so overwhelmed with last minute personal things. Keith W. have been so helpful and very patient with me and my family during this time of need, he made this process a easy breeze! I was new to this beginning with my family and have heard much horror stories from friends and family about terrible agents. Keith was very outstanding, any questions I needed or anything that was last minute he jumped into a bigger role. I never witnessed him being frustrated or overwhelmed ! He never made me feel uncomfortable. When I mean Keith helped me every step of the way, he took his work role very serious! Keith explained everything in a way that was easy to understand from the making the best decisions for my family. Keith is the best agent I have ever dealt with. Last month I wrote a review on how stressful the past three years living here were because of having to deal with no air every summer. Well we have a brand new furnace in place and nice air blowing. Other than the furnace living here is been ok, I am writing this review to give thanks to the rental staff in the leasing office. They have gone out of their way to ensure I get assistance with my rent when they didn’t have to especially because I gave them a hard time a few times. I am sooooo appreciative they have no idea how much stress they have lifted. Even if I don’t get the assistance the effort alone is appreciated.

Ive been searching for an apartment for so long. MR Keith Watkins has been a very big help. Very professional 👏
Last year I received a job offer in Baltimore, and coming from DC I knew NOTHING about Baltimore. Initially I was drawn to this place because of the leasing agent Tianna (she no longer works here), and the model unit that was shown; also I was sold on the rent ($1155 at the time), and the fact that it was across the street from a elementary school, and only 15 minutes from my job. I learned very quickly that moving here was by far the worst decision I couldve EVER made.There are mice everywhere! I have found dead mice in my couch, behind my stove, and at least 3-4 in my utility closet, in the bowls that were out on my drying rack...EVERYWHERE. I havent even been here a year yet, and I have found now THIRTEEN mice in this place. Even though this is a mid-grade renovated apt. (grey walls, upgraded counter tops) there are holes everywhere. I had to pay over $600 for my own exterminator who said that this was one of the WORST cases he’s seen. Why did I pay for my own exterminator? Well because they have the cheapest pest control EVER. All they do is put down sticky traps, and supposedly poison, but I highly doubt that. They even did a drilling dust and it STILL didnt work. Along with my exterminator, I HAD to get on my hands and knees and fill holes (literally they are never ending), with steel wool that I BOUGHT.Whats even worse it that the leasing staff DO NOT CARE. There was no reimbursement for the money that I spent to try to get rid of the mice. Emails go unanswered, phone calls get tossed around. The only reason I was able to get most of the work done that they did offer to do, was because I sued the leasing company in attempts to put my rent into escrow. THAT IS HOW BAD IT IS! State inspectors are alwayssss here because of this mice infestation. They should just condemn these places at this point.I am counting down the days until my lease is up. Please, don’t let the cheap prices fool you, if you can afford to move elsewhere, do.See pictures, and TRUST there’s plenty more where these came from.

Continue from my last post cause I ran out of space.Keith told my brother he had to pay rent for this month. If this was communicated early on he would have had the money available at move in. We went back to the office and Keith said to us both that Lisa said that she was taking $250 off for the month of May and she said this to my brother. Which she did not. As we were speaking to Keith, we old him we spoke with Freshiya at one point who said this was in the works but she did not solidify that with us because she wasn’t working with us. The mood changed because it felt like Keith start saying well is that what Freshiya told you? And almost like we were playing he said she said and he was trying to not take fault. The fact remains Freshiya was not our agent and that she did not solidify anything. The communication falls in everyone period! No this person that person all of y’all dropped the ball. I also became irate and Keith all of a sudden could not speak to me because I was not the lease holder. But before sh*t hit the fan Keith was communicating with me perfectly fine. This property has poor communication and lack of professionalism. I will be reporting to the BBB. I’m sure they don’t care that’s why their is low rating because they don’t take the initiative to fix the issue. I warn anyone who takes time to read this review that Atlantic Realty is bad with accountability. He wanted to play the blame game and his property manager Lisa failed him as a manager. This was the worst teamwork I ever saw. I felt like Keith was trying to remove himself from the mix and put Freshiya and Lisa. In the mix to take the fall when it was really him and Lisa’s bad communication skills. Lisa said she would be giving him back his holding fee on Tuesday. We will see. We are back to the drawing board and now I will be making arrangements to push back my move date. This is very disappointing. Honor your fault. This is just to make everyone aware of the type of company Atlantic realty is. Hold yourselves accountable.

You get what you pay for. It’s the cheapest rent around. But the mouse problem is out of control in n my building. The front desk will be polite about helping you, but nothing will ever get done because the maintenance team is under staffed and they decided to do business with the worst/cheapest pest control company I’ve seen. The only thing that prevented me from moving is that I can’t find anything else in this price range

I ventured to Jamestowne after visiting Rock Glen Apartments, and I must say, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I am in LOVE with Jamestowne staff! Freshiya, Keith, and Carley are AMAZING!!! I cant believe how different Leasing Offices are! These three welcomed me in and made me feel like I was coming home. Rock Glen made me feel like I was a problem and they didnt want to assist me, so why rent from them? As SOON as a 3 bedroom is available, I am moving to Jamestowne or Williston!
I would give 0 stars if I could. Where should I start? We were moved to a different apartment because bats kept finding their way into the house. There was a mice problem at the last apartment and there is a mice problem at the new apartment. I cant forget to mention that the AC has been out practically the entire summer. We have to constantly call and complain to get maintenance to come, and when they decide to show up they dont fix the problem. We literally had the maintenance guy come in and say that it was nothing he could do to fix the air. What are we paying full price for when arent able to utilize all of the aminities. Its as if they dont care, but of course they dont care. They dont have to live in these apartments. They make sure the air is freezing cold in their leasing office, but when it comes to the residents who are spending their hard earned money, they cant fix the problem. If you are considering staying here, dont. Save yourself the headache, literally. Thats how hot it is, since the air is not working.

Freshi’ya was a great help to my moving experience. As a 1st time renter, I had thousands of questions and anxiety. Freshi’ya made sure that I was comfortable and clear on all that was expected. I even requested an additional tour which she eagerly took me on. Freshi’ya always responds to emails and made sure my move in day was smooth even though she would be off. Without her I doubt I would’ve moved out. This has been a great experience and I do not have any complaints.

I found a listing on Craigslist and called and was greeted with so much warmth by Freshiya. We scheduled a tour and I must say... WOW! She is AMAZING! So amazing I wish she worked for my company. We toured the model home, which is beautiful. She sat down with me in the model and went over all the floorplans and differences in model types. I left knowing so much MORE about this community. I love that most of the staff lives onsite. Ive been to many places with horrid reviews and NONE of the staff lived onsite. To me, thats a plus, and I look forward to moving to Jamestowne soon! Thanks Freshiya for being courteous, for KNOWING your product and community by the back of your hand, and for making me feel extremely welcome here! You are a rockstar at this, and Ive been to 12 properties within the last week, she is the cream of the crop!

I know that she is only a Leasing Consultant but she steps above and beyond her role ALL THE TIME!!! We need more people like Freshiya EVERYWHERE!!! Thank you, Freshiya for not only standing by your word, but for being so professional and warm! She makes sure that I am updated if there is an interruption in my maintenance request and as a resident that means the world to me! I dont have to guess whats going on or taking so long. She makes sure that we, the residents are aware, and thats the icing on the cake for me!
I walked in to Jamestowne without an appointment and walked out feeling like royalty. The customer service bar has been set and Jamestowne is ON TOP! The ladies at Jamestowne made me feel as though they CARE, and sadly I dont feel that enough. Thats all the customer really wants. This was my 5th stop on my hunt for a new home, and I feel like whats the point of going anywhere else, really? I will definitely be submitting an application and moving into Jamestowne in February, hopefully!!
Overall annoyed with living here the staff and leasing office isn’t the problem they do their job it’s corporate.
I am a resident on Williston side and I don’t have too much to complain about except for the mice, and the neighbors trashing our communities. I think the staff should be more involved in their communities. Overall, my neighborhood is great and quiet. Ms. Lenora the new manager is phenomenal.

Don’t waste your money. My AC has been out since May and no one has stopped pass my home or called about the issues. I have contacted the office many times just to be told someone will be out and no one has shown up. Nothing ever gets fixed here. The furnace room that has the ac unit has exposed wires everywhere. The community is nice but the maintenance and service is horrible. It’s so hot I have even passed out in my own home before and they don’t care. I have a small child and if I wanted to live without AC and place my health at risk I would live somewhere else cheaper. Why have AC has an AMENITY that I pay for but can’t use. I need to receive a discount on my rent for this. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

I called on Thursday to set up a tour for Saturday. I get here at my appointment time. I was told that I cannot go on a tour because I do not have all of the documentation needed. I understand you not processing my application because of a lack of documentation, but you could atleast show me the apartment. I drove all the way down here for nothing. I plan to apartment shop elsewhere. Waste of time.

I brought my daughter and her family to Jamestowne for a tour on Saturday. FRESHIYA and ARMANI are the light of this property. Freshiya sold me with her customer service and professionalism over the phone, and in person, its an even better experience. Clearly there are levels to this as these ladies are crushing their competitors! I wasnt even looking to move, but I will be here once my own lease is up.
It was a good experience. The least agent Ms. Jordan was so helpful. When I couldnt get things right I called her and she took me through it step by step. We stayed in contact and made sure I understood every part. After I was approved we talked. She email me about setting up a walk through. We did the walk through and as a rental agent I thought she would act like she didnt see what needed to be fixed. Nope she was right there with me checking things making sure they was working and things was clean. Overall Jordan did her job and I have recommended two of my family members. I really appreciate all the hard work and dedication she put into her job. Myself personally thinks Ms. Jordan needs a raise. She carries the company very well.Thanks again Jordan.. I wanted to take a second to acknowledge Freshiya this morning. My apartment experienced a back up, and while I was frantic and frustrated via phone, Freshiya was patient, kind, and swift. She was not COLD on the phone, but very warm and caring. She apologized for the inconvenience I was experiencing and that apology really meant the world to me. Also, the maintenance team responded so fast to my emergency. I am so thankful to my management and maintenance team. Thank you guys so much!!
Jamestowne is the worst complex. The maintenance never shows up on time. After days or weeks of complaining, it’s full of centipedes, roaches and mice; the cabinets and utility closets are full of black mold. The people in the rental office are compulsive liars by the way and not to mention the gun violence. Just nasty and not worth the experience.
I’m not even a resident and I’m having a bad experience. I sent an email requesting an appointment to see the apartments I received an email the next day asking if I was still interested and to call or email. I emailed no response I called left a message no return phone call. I should have learned my lesson but I called once more and spoke to Ms. Grant and schedule an appointment for 8/4/18 at noon. I get to the leasing office at noon and there’s a sign on the door that says the leasing office is closed for the day for a company event. So she knew the office would be closed but still made an appointment. This brief experience is very unprofessional and is probably an example of how the leasing experience is. After reading the reviews and this I changed my mind. Glad I didn’t pay the application fee. I also want to mention I forfeited going to work to make this appointment so this was a complete waste of my time.
I moved into these townhomes almost a year ago. Maintenance never fixes anything in the apartment. The kitchens are run down with cabinets falling apart. Most apartment complexes would not move a tenant into an apartment that has issues from the start. Usually they try to fix all issues BEFORE RENTING UNITS......BUT NO not JAMESTOWN they actually allowed me and my children to move into an apartment filled with mouse feces in the cabinets…literally! Major leaking from the bathroom upstairs to the point that I actually had a water fall running from my bathroom out of a hole in the ceiling that collapsed onto the living room floor and my new couch! All this was just one week of moving in. I had to live like this for an entire month. The only way they will fix your 1980s cabinets that hang off the hinges is if you pay $100 more in rent for a remodeled one. I called maintenance to fix the ½ bathroom because the fixtures are so old and stripped that the water could not be turned off and their solution was to the water source off entirely…it has been 5 months and they have yet to replace the fixtures so that the sink is operational. At this point I don’t even care anymore! They look nice on the outside and the model looks nice but dont do it! Also recently we have been having carjacking and other robberies...Not one notice has been sent to the community to let them know to be on alert! I am so over it horrible from the beginning!
Scam!!!! There is an apartment that will be available Dec 14th. The tenants are moving out 11/30. I applied and qualified for the apartment. However was denied for a low credit score. Although our combined income is way over 6 figures, no evictions or criminal history. Armani herself told her boss was wrong for not approving. It’s obvious they plan on collecting the application fee from a couple of people before they give it to someone. Thankfully i found something way nicer with no mices.
If you talked about having a nightmare 😂 thats what I experienced nothing gets fixed thats supposed to be fix kitchen cabinets the carpet infestation whoever supposed to be painting. Dont paint and now theyre broken patio door is finally broken off
Me and my family have been living here for two years I wouldnt recommend this place even if you paid me to the lack of care for the tenants is unreal DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME SERIOUSLY OK ITS NOT 1 STAR ITS A ZERO!!!!
My daughter has lived in a townhouse in Jamestowne for a year. In May her electric bill was over $300 indicating that there was something VERY wrong with the air conditioning!! She put a ticket in to request repair, which they ignored. In June the bill was $615 again we asked that they come and fix the air conditioning. They assured her the ticket was in and they would send someone to look at it...,, in July the bill was $653 again she went to the office.... This time she was told that a ticket had been entered so there was nothing they could do to help!!!! I then called the manager who was less than helpful, but he assured me he would get someone out on Monday since it was Friday afternoon. Well, today is Monday and I got no phone call indicating the outcome. I have left messages on the machine but no one is returning my call!!! These people dont care! My advice, dont rent from them!!
Inexpensive. The property manager is willing and helpful when you have a problem. The furnace was so old and run down that when bge came to do a check up they wouldnt even touch it. Said it was a fire waiting to happen. I told the manager and nothing was ever done.

I have left a review maybe one or twice before but just thought I would come back to say do not rent from these people!! The more recent of a whole list of issues I’ve had since being here was my ceiling was leaking, when the problem was “completed” the whole living room looked off because you could see where work was done due to the poor paint job but we said nothing nonetheless.. well fast forward two weeks later and the ceiling is once again leaking. Once I figure out how to upload a photo I will! I also put in an online service request for pest and checked and it says completed but no one has been in our house so I assume this is something they do to avoid consequences from higher ups! Rent from a property that takes pride in their work and has integrity! Not this place!!
This !!! Is how an apartment or home search should be !Prior to coming to Jamestowne I had gone to at least 3 other locations in search of a new home for my children and I . I had a clear idea of what I wanted in an apartment, what price range I wanted to stay within, amenities and neighborhood but all of the previous locations either didn’t meet my needs or the customer service and professionalism of their staff was severely lacking. Fast forward to my internet search of townhomes in my area, after finding Jamestowne seeing photos online and reading some reviews I decided I would take a look for myself . I sent a message through the Jamestowne website expressing interest in viewing a home and was contacted a day later by Ms.Armani . This young woman’s poise and demeanor really made me excited to view the home and within just moments on the phone I had a viewing scheduled. Upon arrival I immediately notice the neighborhood was a nice mixture of old and young residents with a school very close by *bonus points* the townhomes from the outside looked very well maintained but judging from the outside I was nervous about it possibly not being as spacious as I hoped. When I entered the rental office I was greeted by both Armani and Freshi’ya, i was given an explanation of the process, necessary information and steps that would have to be taken before moving in. But first came the tour. My daughter accompanied me, and tends to be very upfront and honest with her judgements. I knew I already liked the layout but was blown away by how much more spacious The townhome is, my daughter was a huge fan immediately and adored the double sinks and large bedrooms. So much so that she begged that I apply so we could keep it. the application process was so much better Than any apartment I’ve dealt with in the past, and I wish more places would adopt this technique, I applied right there on the computer and even paid my app fee .. all while Armani colored with my daughter . After I finished I was told that within an hr I would have a decision, which I appreciate.nothings worse than the anticipation of knowing and being at the mercy of the leasing agent to call you when they “get a chance” . And just as I was told within the hour I was informed of my approval .had I not been approved I would have been disappointed but the level of professionalism and care I received from Armani and freshi’ya alike would have made up for it. Thank you so much ladies you made my kids and myself immensely happy! Sorry for the lengthy review :)
The place is ok. I have just started my second year here and the only gripe I have is that the townhouse Im renting has mice. Now I havent called the rental office because its been one here or there but when your renting you really shouldnt have to deal with nice. Other than that the neighborhood is quiet and everyone keeps to themselves.
Edited.. November 19thUpdate... Im officially moved in, thanks to Armani! She started after hours to make sure my new home was in the condition I needed it to be. She went above and beyond on a Friday evening! She embodies leadership and getting the job done! This community needs your leadership and dedication.. why isnt she the manager?? Id refer others if she were!Ive had such a wonderful experience thus far as I prepare to move into my new townhome Friday, November 15th. This is ALL due to the exceptional service of Freshiya Green. From the moment I called the community Monday,November 11th, Freshiya was welcoming, professional and prompt. She exudes exceptional customer service which we at times lack in the African American community. I was impressed and it made me feel comfortable moving to Jamestown Apartments. I must admit, Im not a city dweller. But this property is nestled perfectly within the confines of a quiet residential neighborhood. Thank you again Freshiya, Jamestown is lucky to have you!
Horrible, horrible place to live. Affordable but a terrible company to ever lease from. I moved in here back in February and since then there has been nothing but issues. I’ve gone an entire summer without air conditioning, my refrigerator died and caused my food to go bad because I’m not always home. It’s always an uphill battle to get anything done. Maintenance is useless as is the rest of the staff. Except Jordan. She’s always great. If you’re looking to move here I suggest you go in the opposite direction. It’s not worth it in the slightest.
This is by far the worst place I have ever lived in my 60 years. Eviction notice twice for a water bill that I didn’t even know about. The place is cold and drafty the air has not worked in my 2 years here. I asked for a new toilet seat which they should have gave me when I moved in and they told me no buy one and maintenance would put it in. The rent is good but everything is old and rundown. I like the area I just wish they would fix my place up and treat me like a tenant should be treated.
Very poor customer service and poor management. If you pay your bills through bill pay to avoid money order/online processing fees, they always claim they didnt receive the payment until after the 5th so they can charge you excessive late and court fees. And maintenance is horrible, they constantly close tickets, claiming they fixed your issue when they havent. And Krystal the manager has the worst attitude and management skills oh and dont rely on corporate to assist with any of your issue.
