Since going under new management this company takes precision and care into their calls. I know they are a towing service so you may be on the bad end of a deal with Stars towing but the division that handles towing becaue your vehicle is out of commission. Those guys rocked it!! Cheers

Chris was awesome, called me when he arrived and got my car up in less that 5 min. We were at my drop off location quickly.

This place is a complete scam and they take advantage of people who have their car towed by police. They lied about my daughters car, stating that it was totaled and the airbags had deployed. Thank God for my husband who went with her and helped pick up the vehicle. They wanted us to sign over the title to them because it was unrepairable and could only be used for parts. They even went so far as to park it in the far back of the facility with many junk cars parked in front of it blocking it in. My husband said no, and that he wanted to look at it first. This upset whomever was working. He threatened to keep the car another night because we were getting AAA to tow the vehicle out of there. Making statements like he wouldnt allow another tow truck on his property without them being licensed and bonded. My husband told them to go ahead and check the drivers credentials knowing that AAA wouldnt send anything less. My husband also assured him we would be taking our vehicle today. Come to find out, the airbags were not deployed at all and the wheel was not missing either. AAA sent a qualified towing company out and we got the vehicle home safe after paying $$$$$ to Stars for one overnight stay. My husband got my daughter up and rolling that same day as you can see from the pictures. Im disappointed that Williamson County would even use a company who clearly tries to take advantage of people. If you have to deal with this company beware!!

I have 2 vehicles and one of them is an E350, they’re not massive cars but they’re bigger than a fiat for sure. I called my roadside assistance and ended up waiting 4 hours because 4 different tow companies accepted them declined the tow… well 5th times a charm, they showed up, put my van in the back and were actually pretty fast (40 min after they accepted and it initially said it’d be an hour. They got my vehicle to Firestone, Sam was great the driver who was professional and chill. Overall great experience with this towing company and lord knows if I’m in the Austin area and need another tow they’re the 1st ones I’m calling

My family and I were driving home from Austin to Houston this past weekend and we were involved in an accident. Stars Towing is who came to tow us. We had a weeks worth of luggage for a family of 4 in our vehicle and nowhere to transfer it to. I explained how we were from out of town and the guys were more than patient with me. They helped my husband and I move the car into a safe place and they waited with us until someone could come get us and our luggage. I was truly surprised at how genuinely helpful they were in such a time of stress. Ive had to call them a couple of times since getting back to Houston and Mike has been incredibly. Stars has gone above and beyond to help my family and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Austin area. They made a very stressful situation so much easier for me and I appreciate that very much!

Had my vehicle towed to repair shop and Mr. Ali was here within an hour called to let me know he was 10 minutes away he was quick and friendly after having a bad experience with a towing company yesterday that never showed up so glad I waited for Stars Towing!!

The staff is absolutely wonderful. They are always polite and helpful.Hopefully you wont need a tow service, but if you do, I recommend this company!

This company is TRASH!!!Scheduled a tow through my insurance for 12 noon pickup, I called twice to checkup myself after 1pm came around. They hung up on me right after they answered the first time.2nd attempt I was told the driver would be there in 15mins.45mins later my insurance called them and asked what the issue was. Apparently the truck broke down and they didn’t plan on telling anyone.Now 3hrs total later I might incur storage fees for my motorcycle being stuck in the shop that I’ll make sure these d*ck heads will be responsible for paying.

Stars Towing provides great service. Our car wouldn’t start and it seemed like it was the battery but using jumper cables did not work. The driver, Shaun, arrived on time and was very professional. He’s also a really nice guy. Unbelievably, he was able to start our car using a small handheld device! I definitely recommend Stars Towing.

My 2019 vehicle has been there for 2 weeks and they will not release it to the repair shop. My car should be finished with repairs by now but Stars will not answer the phone or release it to Service King. They are extremely unprofessional and seem to be holding my car hostage to rack up storage charges to the insurance. It had been approved by the insured and us to be moved for over a week before it was finally transferred.

All I can say is very unprofessional establishment. So I tried to get my car out and I had the title on hand and the bill of sale. These guys wouldnt give me back my car. Then when I told them I needed to go get my sons belongings that had his medicine in it they took my keys and let me go get it. I noticed that they put some strange but strong tape on it so I could barely get in and get his diaper bag. Then as we were talking I asked how much to get it out and they told me a price. Then they said even with the title signed over to me and a bill of sale they laughed and said that it was a joke. He then said if I had the insurance to bring it and that they would let me have it. But its all under my dads info so I needed him there even though I was also on the insurance. So I had to buy some more insurance to get it out. Then I asked him about the tape on the car and as he pulled it off it took some of the pain with it. He says it was like that when it came in. He says its never happens and that newer cars dont have that issue. Well mine was over 10 years old and it did. He then started to tell and cuss at me and threatening me. He said he would go cancel my payment and call the police on me. Well after the fact I called and he was threatening me as well. He wouldnt give me his name or the name of his driver for my records so I can have for my records. He was very rude and disrespectful and I will be filling a claim with BBB as well as taking him to court for damages.

I wish I could give -5 stars. This is there worst experience I’ve had in my life. The tow showed up 3 hours late. The driver dropped it off a mile away on the side of the street. Told them to drop it off and they never did. I called them and they told me they left it on the side of the road. They literally lost my car !!!! I ended up finding it on some other street at some body shop. They wouldn’t even give me my money back !

It’s one of the best companies i’ve ever seen, very professional, very respectful, and very polite managers. They care about their employees as well as their customers. Amazing experience with this company while dealing with my broke down car. It took 5 tow companies how to figure out how to tow my car because of its location and the type of break -down and they were the only one who figured out how to do it. My vehicle had to be towed from N AUstin to San Marcos. The driver waited with my vehicle for over an hour at the dealership to make sure they took it in.Mohammed was very helpful in providing all of the receipts needed to assist me in getting reimbursed.Would use them again for sure!

One of their drivers side swiped me. Guy saw me trying to enter next lane and I was partly in the lane when the light turned red. Instead of being courteous he inches forward knowing i was there and when the light turned green hit my car. I called their office and was told just to wait for police. They wouldn’t even take the complaint I had on their driver.

My service experience from Stars towing was excellent. Erick was the driver whom came to my aid. He showed in perfect time an handled my car with care. He also gave my friend an I a ride home. The cherry on top, he was super nice an easy on the eyes which was very plesent! 😌

I had to get a tow due to a flat tire and Ford having mediocre swollen lug nuts. Progressive assigned this company and Henry was very helpful. He offered to change my tire, but again due to the lug nuts being swollen there was nothing that could be done. Henry took me to discount and took care of everything while I was inside filling paperwork out. Im very pleased with this service. First time getting a tow and hopefully last, but if I ever need to, I will definitely go with this company again.

Driver was was yelling at my friend who was rushing towards him to let him know that she was going to move her car out of the way, but the driver was yelling at my friend and then drove off. My friend later called the dispatch to try to get the driver back but the tow truck driver told dispatch that she was rude and told him to shut up. Dispatch person was also rude and yelled at my friend and wouldnt even let her speak. I attempted to call later twice with no answer. I am typing this 2 hours into sitting for a tow truck driver in sight.

We were stuck on Parmer lane about 100 yards east of Samsung blvd.. The car wouldnt start. I got a ride to get my car then went back out to sit with my best friend to help. It was misting rainy and cold and by 10:30 the car was dead and we knew we had to call for a tow. He initiated the call and since the car was our friends that we were trying to transport, he had to pay most of the tow himself up front. He did and at 11:30pm we were told 2 hours. I stayed with him...otherwise he would have been freezing and not be able to get to a restroom by the time the tow arrived. At 2:00 am the wrecker called from Stars and asked where we were that he couldnt find us. My best friend told him the exact location...100 yards east of Samsung blvd on Parmer lane on the side of the road. The driver became angry and wanted a business near us. We told him the only business was Samsung about 100 yards west of us and we were facing fields. He got even angrier and tried to fight with my friend. We finally saw him approach and we were so relieved because it had been such a long night. As he approached I ran out to tell him sir Im going to move my car out of your way but the driver immediately started yelling at me that I had to move and there was no way he could tow with so many cars. I tried to tell him sir thats what Im saying Im going to move but he wouldnt stop yelling at me and I became frustrated. I sir please calm down and give me a second but he yelled something else about Im not putting up with this and drove off leaving us stranded. I went to my friend who was as bewildered as I was and told him. He tried to call his insurance and asked me to go get him something to eat as he now he was starving and thirsty. I took off and as i did i called the wrecker. The dispatcher said the same thing the driver said. He started yelling at me and talking over me not giving me a chance to explain the situation. He lied and said i told his driver to shut up. I would never do that for one and for two we were so relieved to see him pull up we were happy so why would I do that to someone who was about to help us. He wouldnt eve give me a chance and was obviously not going to help us and then hung up on me. It took another hour for my best friend to get through to his insurance and get another service to come out. Then we were told another 2 hours. By 5 am we finally had help from another service who pulled up and was SUPER nice to us getting us taken care of quickly and in awesome fashion. So then my friend only got 1 hour of sleep before having to go t ok work which even made him late. All this because we were trying to help move a friends car for him because he was in n need. It was a horrible night and I have never been treated so poorly by a wrecker service in my life. Its really sad too because not 3 months earlier a day driver from Stars had towed my car to a shop and was the most awesome person on the planet, so professional. So my recommendation is if you are stuck at night in Austin...dont call Stars. They were highly unprofessional and very rude. The day shift seems to rock but the night crew will leave you stranded at their own whim...especially if you are out in the middle of no where and cant materialize places of business for the driver to find you even with GPS pinpointing you for them.

Contracted a tow thru my insurance Co for a breakdown, was given 60 response time and was told the driver would call within 5 min, 45 min later, no call and my insurance co called and said the tow truck driver canceled called the Tow company and was told the driver didn’t want a passenger !

THIEVES!The city of Austin didnt give me the option of who towed my car after an accident. Stars Towing employee went through my belongings and stole 50$ in cash I kept for emergencies, my RayBan sunglasses (not prescribed) and my Apple AirPods. Thanks for letting me keep my door handles! I filed a Police Report against them regarding my items and if enough people do it, the city of Austin will eventually not allow them to be used. #Hopefully I get that they are a cheap service compared to others but... they LIE about time, they STEAL your belongings and they drive RECKLESSLY. Awful Company!

This company isnt even worth this review nor the 1 star. I broke down at 7pm called stars towing and they said they would schedule a towing for 8pm i was waiting for over 2 hours and received no phone call. finally i received a phone call however i missed it called them right back not even 3 minutes later and spoke to a man who was VERY rude and could barely understand english who said he had canceled my pick up due to me not answering the phone. REALLY? this is beyond horrible customer service, i am a father of 3 and had my children there with me at the time my car broke down. I will be also complaining to the BBB about this as well as making sure everyone understands how horrible and disorganized this company is.

Was in a car accident, apparently the cops called for the tow. I am insured for tows, so I tried to tell the guy that I could call my insurance company and they would send a tow. He said no, insisted he had to tow it. And he had to tow it to his yard where it would rack up some delightful fees. Then I talked to the cop and he told me to tell him tow it where I wanted. Keep in mind I had been in a more than light car accident, and the tow driver was pressuring me. He charged me 175 for the tow, but my paper receipt says 150. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company now

Arrived late -- gave me an hour window, showed up 1 hour 10 minutes later. Awkward and impersonal service, maybe a language/culture thing, but the driver was pleasant enough for my needs. I was worried about my truck on the trip to the shop, because I only saw the driver anchor tires on one side of the truck, and he drove aggressively with hard turns and brakes. Half expected to see my truck roll off the flat bed while speeding around a corner (which thankfully didnt happen and Im sure I was overly worried).Liberty Mutual automatically sent this company as part of their roadside assistance program. Liberty Mutual also sends you a link to a site that shows you the status of your issue, with the position of the tow truck on a map in relation to you and your destination. I was on the north side of Austin, and the app showed the tow truck far out the south side without moving for 40 minutes. I called once to see if there was a problem, and the guy who answered barked at me in rough English that the driver was already on his way. I guess the driver was at lunch, because the truck started moving after my call, but had to drive completely across Austin through downtown.While waiting for Stars, I had Leander Towing, who was extremely pleasant and accommodating, ready to show up if Stars didnt arrive. Leander Towing also had said they would have me to my destination within the hour, which I would have appreciated. Had plenty of time to read reviews of other tow services, many of which seemed to have fast response times.Turns out it was an issue with a bad fuel sending unit. Ran out of gas even though the gauge said I had a little below 1/4 tank. A little gas and a jump start would have had me on my way.

Parked illegally behind the cones of a construction zone, one of their trucks just pulled out in front of me on the south bound access rd of 35, between 51st and airport. No blinker, from a dead stop, completely cutting me off to the point I had to slam on my brakes and slide to not hit him. Then he had the audacity to flick me off and slam on his brakes again when I honked at him, causing three cars of traffic behind me to also slam on their brakes. He then casually drove off. Dangerous, ignorant of other vehicles, and rude is not a good combo for any towing service.

Look, I get it, the estimated time hacks given by tow truck companies have a lot of wiggle room. A lot. But dont tell me, after Ive already been sitting in the hot sun for 2 hours, that your driver is 20 minutes out when hes more like 50. This after your first drivers truck broke down, which already added an hour plus to the original ETA. If you had just been 100% up front with me from the beginning, I could have made other arrangements and been home hours earlier.

This place is trash. Do NOT, I Repeat Do NOT use them. Took my vehicle to the wrong location, and the manager allah tells me he doesnt work for me its not my problem. I will be making a report with the BBB.

The best company ever

Very cheap compared to other towing companies that quoted me $150+ for an 11 mile drive, I only paid $70. They had trouble finding my house but it wasnt a big deal, picked up the car in just a few minutes and that was it. Hopefully I never have to use a towing company but if I do, I know where to go.

Terrible service they won’t answer my call and they were expecting us to pay the extra day so we had to get the police involved, plus they switched our new battery for an old one.

Took 2 hours for the driver to arrive after quoting 20 minutes. Got part way to the destination, driver took a phone call, pulled over and refused to continue driving but could not explain why. When the driver finally started driving again, he drove 5 miles in the wrong direction and then drove recklessly all the way to the dealership. To the point the police were almost called because the driving was so dangerous.

I sold Stars Towing my vehicle after it was totalled in order to pay the storage and towing fees. They sold the truck to someone else but didnt transfer the title and now IM getting tickets in the mail out here in California! I will NEVER use these guys again and I suggest you dont either!
